BB12: Three Dodos in the Tub

Good Evening BB Lovers!

Before I get to the live feeds, I'd like to take a moment to send my love and comfort to all who have needed it today. I hope you all had time to be with your loved ones today. With love, comes healing.

Speaking of love... I look in on the remaining three, I find them in the hot tub.

They are  talking about the season, and the people in it. Talk quickly switches to food. Lane goes inside o change leaving Hayden and Enzo in the hot tub. The two talk about Brendon, how he was on the block every second week and the things he endured to stay in the house.

Enzo is worried about Joella being on the plane; and is excited that Gia will soon be a year old.

Life in the house goes on. Talk continues along the lines that it has been the past few days: their eagerness to get out there and see their loved ones. Enzo seems to be in a better mood today.

I'm here should anything outstanding happens. Otherwise, I will be in the comments with you all. :)

  12. REPOST:

    Great poem Genie.. Appreciate you..

Put on the feeds 6:45 and they were talking about 9/11 and it just bothers me when people put down an entire religion of people who less than .005% of their world population are actually part of Al-Qaeda.

The impulsive response is to say BOMB ALL OF THEM... however there aree waaaaaay more innocent people and Americans there than actual bad people

The bottom line is to NEVER FORGET today and make sure to tell your children and family about where you were during that time!

All of our parents (and some of us) remember where they were when JFK was assassinated..

9/11 is OUR JFK assassination! NEVER FORGET!

I haven't seen many people posting today or even if Caro or Genie are releasing comments.. I was living in NYC and married to my first wife at the time. I'll be happy to share more if there's anyone around to appreciate it..

    Anyone out there?

    Scotty "K"

  16. Hi Genie and fellow dishers,
Just dropped in to say hi! Genie, your poem was beautiful, thank you for sharing it with us.
Seems Enzo came out of his funk sometime yesterday afternoon...he was teasing with Lane tell him that death had almost took him, but he shook it off...glad they seem happy.
Hope you all are well! Going to watch a movie now...starting withdrawal:)

  21. Good Morning! Eastcoasters!

Today is one of those days that makes you put life into perspective. Nothing can be worse than 911.

(also it makes me laugh when the hgs complain about missing their families. Military families do it every day)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes Genie, you're very much wanted on Twitter!!!

  23. Well, my honey just got back from getting me some ginger ale, so I'm definately saying nite nite now :)

Thoughts and prayers to everyone on this tragic anniversary.

  24. My husband and I just got back from ground 0 in NY,
We took our 7 yr old grandson.
What a somber day in all.

    Genie, thanks for the poem.
It was a great way to end my day.

  25. I should rephrase my last comment...nothing could be worse than 911. Sadly there have been things much worse. Still, thinking of things like that helps keep me grounded and thankful for what I have in my life. The car breaking down...not a big deal. Kids getting in trouble in school...and I could go on and on.

    Hiya Gerri! Thank you :)

Michelle - Most definitely! Everyone who has given up their lives or are putting their lives in danger for the safety of others should be honored as well as their families because they stand to lose so much...

Night JLuvs - Sleep sweet honey! Hope you all feel better!

Night Steph! Have a good one! I won't be here. Another 40 minutes and I'm out too. I just popped in to say hello and see what the HGs are up to...

  36. Hi Guys,

Genie, that poem was just so awesome.

Kantro I so agree with your post.

I have just been out of it today. I remember JFK, RFK and MLK. I was home watching the news on the morning of 9/11. My son was 13 and all I wanted to do was go to school and pick him up and hold him. I lived in PA and figured we were safe until the plane crashed in a little town in PA just like my town and then it became even more real.

I was born and raised in NYC and still have tons of family and friends there. I was lucky in that even though I have friends who worked in the towers, the grace of God was with them and they were not at work on that horrible day.

Sadly it is another day that I will never forget where I was and the emotions I was feeling. I love our brave boys overseas and just want them all to be home safe with their families where they belong. My heart goes out to all those who have lost a loved one during any war or terrorist event.

May we just one day all wake up and learn from these horrors that peace is so much better an option.

  43. I know folks didn't always or at anytime like Britney and her snarky/catty comments. But has anybody watched the full length exit interview with Julie. The audience absolutely loved her and she was hysterically funny and so well poised with her interaction with Julie.

And yes she was snarky and admitted it and Julie and the audience and I loved it. I then went and listened to Rachel and Kristen full interviews. What a major difference in audience reaction. All of course got applause at the end but Brit was the one who got applause and laughter throughout the entire interview.

Needless to say, I continue to stuff the ballot box with votes for her to get the $25K.

  44. Night Genie, sleep tight and thanks again to our lovely neighbor to the North for such an awesome poem to help us all get through this day as a family of ONE!!!

  45. My ex-wife and I were up late the night before as it was our first anniversary and were tired.

She worked four blocks away from the WTC and witnessed the first plane from her office window and called me immediately! We both thought the pilots navigation was off or something crazy... So I knew about it immediately!

While we were on the phone, I put on TV and they finally picked up on it... Then the second plane hit and while we were talking the phone went dead!!! Completely FREAKED me out!! Even my cell phone wasn't working!!

Luckily her ISDN line was working as was my cable internet, so we were able to communicate via AIM..

Her building was locked-down and was told no one could leave!! So we IM'd for three and a half hours until she was able to leave.. She was able to catch one of the last subways out of Manhattan and I picked her up as soon as she crossed over to the Queens side and went home..

We had no idea what to expect and were freaked out not knowing what was next! Watching every channel that wasn't knocked out because of the antennas up on the WTC! I also listened to Howard Stern who broadcast from Manhattan and stayed on the air all morning into the afternoon and even came in the next day to go on the air when everyone else went with re-runs.. My respect for his love on the fans went up tremendously and I had been listening since 1982...

I will never forget that day as long as I live and will always retell it to everyone and anyone as none of us forget!

My cousin lost her fiancée (whom she hadn't even announced to the rest of the family yet). He worked in that accounting firm on top of one of the buildings and had no chance

I had another close friend who worked in one of the other buildings and decided to go for a haircut that morning... another close friend was on the subway and they made an announcement and no one could believe it as the train just changed tracks and headed back to Brooklyn... oyyyyy

Sorry for going on and on... Just needed to share!

  46. I think I found most of the Twitterers on Twitter except for Michelle......can't find you; what is your Twitter name?

I'm @jduncan395 ......creature of habit because I can't remember it if I use something different that first part of my email......LOL

Genie, found you and you haven't TWITTERED in quite awhile!! LOL

    Boring night on feeds.......
I read somewhere that Lane talked privately with Enzo today and gave him a glimmer of hope.....anyone else hear anything about that?

    Janice/GA

    ReplyDelete
  47. @ Janice, start about 3:40pm BBT on Sept 11 and you will hear Enzo's conversation with Lane. He was really pouring it on as to why Lane should take him to final 2 in insure Lane got the $500K. My gut is Lane was just nodding to be nodding but not sure he really wants to take Enzo.

I would think if Lane won this final HOH, taking Enzo would guarantee him the bit pot but I think Lane is concerned that Enzo's social game with the jury will guarantee him the big pot.
