Survivor Premiere Watching Party

Good evening, Big Brother lovers!! :)

Per your requests, we're back, and we're gonna be doing Survivor and Amazing Race Watching parties this season! :)

We may actually blog a bit too, but we're not real sure about that just yet... Still in recovery mode from Big Brother 11!!! Watching and transcribing the feeds 18+ hours a day, 7 days a week for the duration really takes it out of ya! Trust me!

Anyhow, if we do blog our opinions on the shows, it'll be posted the day after the show airs... not instantaneously, like with BB.

Also, speaking for myself, due to BB, I'm going into this season of Survivor completely blind! I know absolutely nothing about any of em! Well.. except that CBS is pushing Russell as the ultimate villain..

So, as per all viewing parties here on BBDish, this post is all about your comments on the show. We'll be hanging in the comment section with you and publishing comments at the commercial breaks.

    I certainly understand about recovering from the BB season. I didn't do nearly what you did & I have been exhausted the last couple of days. Staying up way too late & getting up early for so many days wiped me out.

    I'm very excited I have something to do @ 7pm CST time tonight so I don't feel like I am going cold turkey.

    I also have no clue about any of the cast except Russell & then one lady who is a police officer. I started to read bio's a few weeks ago & her's was the first & only one I read. I was impressed with her life story. Became a cop in her 40's & has 4 children.

    I know from a commercial there is a hottie who is a rocket scientist, I think, or something like that.

    Well, enjoy the show & I'll try to comment but I really want to concentrate on the cast & I believe their will be 20 of them. I'll join in more as the season goes on.

    I made it. Still trying to get the hang of facebook and those silly games. Watched Chelsia's backyard interviews. Jessie is actually funny again. They should have put post show interview Jessie in the house just like DR Kevin.

    In pre-interviews for Survivor I like Dave. If he lasts I think he will go far.

    Now I have to go to the tv but if your here after we'll talk.

    I just listened to Jeffs thoughts, He should be good at this, been doing it forever. Is he dating that one survivor?
    I have never missed 1 episode of Survivor, I often wonder about the edits, But I think they project to the best of their knowledge who the ppl are..
    So hows this going to work Carolyn?
    We had a Airline pilot that was 1 odf the best playes ever, and LOL he came in 2nd..he had it hands down, but didnt get it.

    Heya Peeps!

    I'm very late to the party, lol. It was my nephew's birthday this past Saturday and since he and his brother both have everything known to man, I took him shopping to pick out his own gift. That went very well! Except he picked a lego contraption. So I spent an hour and a half putting it together. I just have gotten back from dropping them off at home. Whew!

    Okies, I'm catching the last 15 min of survivor. I already don't think I like Ashley, lol. But I'll have to watch it when it's up on cbs.com.

    Good episode. Seemed really short with that many people. Didn't even get to see the funny guy Dave. Bald Russell is something else. I always wondered if they would pick someone who was well off and not playing for the money. I guess if he is telling the truth about that they do.

    I like Shambo on principle since she is a former Marnie. She seems pretty funny too. She will get frustrated with her tribe quickly though.

    Me too! I've been a Grey's fan since the first episode. I have to admit that this season finale was amazing. I so was hoping Izzy would make it. Luckily I read spoiler sites. Although I really liked George, I was okay with what happened. He wasn't being used.

    That is something I thought of almost as soon as BB was over is, Yay, get to read more now.

    I've been reading a lot of Jodi Piccoult's books lately. OOO, I like her. She wrote "My Sister's Keeper" (which I read before seeing movie), She wrote, 19 Minutes...very good & insightful. I want to read "The Pact" & just started "A Change of Heart".

    Syn - Is that his newest book? I love his books too.

    MsFitz - It is! And the movie version of it comes out in January starring Miley Cyrus. He actually wrote the screen play and the book simultaneously. Miley already has a video of a song from the movie.

    I like this Russell because he makes it interesting. I have found Survivor such a snooze for years. It's the same exact show every season. But I like BB for the dynamics not the games. I'm not a big reality TV fan in general.

    Maybe having my friends around will make it better.

    BTW, I got my BB coffee mug today. It rocks. It's a really nice mug, super high end. If anyone needs one for the winter.

    I am new here with the comments, but have been reading them for at least 3 weeks now. (got hooked on BB and loved it!) Survivor promises to be interesting. I hate Russel already. Not only is he a self-proclaimed a-hole, he also has enough money to not really care about anyone but himself! There is nothing worse than having zero integrity and value and enough money to really not care about harming others. A true villain, indeed! How sad!
