BB9 Winner Adam Jasinski Arrested on Drug Charges

It's almost time to settle in and enjoy the show from Samoa. But first... I've gotta weigh in on the Adam Jasinski story.

A couple days ago, BB9 Adam was arrested for selling drugs, admittedly financed with his Big Brother winnings, and it looks like he'll be having a long stay inside another very controlled situation...

We've heard many BB HGs refer to the house as prison and an insane asylum. At this point, I'm betting Adam would take that house over the one he's in now for just about anything.

I've waited a couple days to write about it, because, unlike the majors that were posting the video and the story all over the web, I actually care about these people.

Right now though, I'm just disappointed and saddened by the whole thing...

Oh, Adam.

Kiddo, you f***ed up big time.

But you know that.

I wish you the strength and wisdom to learn from your mistakes and the grace to not only endure and survive your immediate future, but to grow from it.

For those of you who would like to see the video, here it is:

And here's the link to the original story.

And here's the followup, published today:
Adam Jasinski, of Delray Beach, Fla., is charged with attempting to sell 2,000 oxycodone pills. He was scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court in Boston on Thursday, but his detention hearing has been postponed until Oct. 30.

Jasinski was arrested in North Reading, Mass., last weekend after he allegedly showed a government witness two plastic bags filled with oxycodone.

Adam, Adam, Adam... yup.. just sad and disappointed.

  1. Poor judgement and a bad decision. Hopefully this is a first offense, and he can get on with his life very soon.

  2. First offense isn't going to make much difference with that much oxy. He will get the max, 20 years. This isn't like having a joint. Unless he can turn state's evidence for a deal, he will be in prison for a very long time. There are minimum mandatory sentences for drugs (it's a war, you know).

I think we call all agree that selling oxy is despicable. What I don't get is how he could be so stupid. Who fly's carrying that much? You don't have to be a big time drug dealer to know how absurd that is. Most of the drug trade is done through UPS to post office boxes. It's beyond reason that someone has a sock full down his pants in US airports. He was either very desperate or very addicted, or both. Certainly very misguided.

  6. It is a very sad situation that he would make such foolish choices. But, the only thing that comes to my mind is the greed of it all. He knew w/ all the $$$ he won he could make a whole lot more by selling this stuff. Someone presented him an opportunity & he probably thought he was beyond getting caught. It also angers me because of the good use the $$$ that he won could have done to help him in life & he chose to make such a horrible choice.

He will not be living on the outside for a long, long time.

  8. I'm not angry with Adam, but sadly disappointed. As the season went along Adam really grew on me and I wished him well...I still do, but unfortunately, choices bring consequences and I think he is in for a very hard and long lesson...peace be with you, Adam.

Carolyn, thanks for the link to this post.

  10. The human element of this story is indeed sad and from that perspective I hope he learns from his mistakes while in jail. What a way to ruin your life.

As to what he was doing and attempting to do, I really have no sympathy towards him. Selling drugs is (ahem, stupid) a serious offense. Have fun in the big house, Adam.

If he was looking to make a whole lot more money, there are many perfectly legal ways to do it.

  11. I too was disappointed as he kept saying he would donate 10% right off the bat for his charity. It just amazes me that he got on a plane with 2000 pills! What in the world are other people smuggling?

Enough of the bad stuff, today is a beautiful, glorious day and I wish the same for everyone! Thank you for being here, Lovely Caro! If not for you I wouldn't have known about Ross interviewing Jordo! :) xoxo
