I'm having a real hard time understanding how Elissa can be so friendly to GinaMarie (when she was one of the most horrible to Candace), tolerate Amanda, after the way she tormented Elissa for a whole day, but doesn't have the time of day to even listen to Aaryn try to save herself. I haven't changed my opinion on how I feel about any of them, but I do feel Aaryn is getting it way harder than the other 2, and yet is certainly now worse than the other 2. Just with the constant talking about how horrible she thinks Aaryn is makes Elissa look like a not very Christian or nice person...she just doesn't use the vulgar language.

ReplyDeleteAmanda has a point. She's run the house since day one and during all of that time she's protected Elissa. Elissa also shouldn't be holding Helen's eviction against Amanda since she knew full well that Helen and she were just as ready to attack Amanda/McCrae. They didn't have a chance to strike first because they weren't smart enough to lock in Aaryn.

My thoughts, I think Amanda is jealous of Elissa, her fit body, her beauty and her wealthy husband. I remember that comment about how her husband would love her...and since Amanda hates Elissa and everyone is afraid of Amanda it sets the mood for the house to bash her, I wish Elissa's plan would have worked. Heck, I'm jealous of her body! I love that she feels threatened..how is it that its just not fair that someone do to her exactly what she's done to every evictee? I mean how dare they?? *insert sarcasm. Here's to hoping she goes next week.

I'm starting to understand Elissa a tiny bit more. I'd have far to go if I wanted to actually do it. This is not to say I am liking her any better. I'm only saying I get her.
ReplyDeleteThe laugh when in high stress is not to make fun of what the other person is saying. It's a condition that most likely has a psychological/medical name but I don't want to google for it.
Anyway, I do believe it is a coping skill. Some people have it worse than others.
It has happened to me a few times, laughing at inappropriate times. The last time was December 31, 2006. We were at a memorial service for an old friend.
Another friend was sitting between Danny and me. Charles had not made any prearranged funeral plans so it was left completely up to his son to do the whole thing. His son had a good relationship with his father but never saw the side of him we all saw.
So, the time came and the doors to the chapel closed. The music started and the first thing was Barbra Streisand's "Somewhere". Not a song that Charles would have chosen and there were at least 30 in the chapel that knew it.
Thank GawD! We were sitting on the back row because I was seriously biting my tongue to keep from bursting out laughing. Our friend Billy was doing something similar... he grabbed my arm and I could feel his nails digging into my skin through winter clothing.
Had our eyes ever met, we would have burst out laughing. We were already getting a few backward glances from friends in front of us. Had we started, we may have been unable to stop and would have had to run out of the chapel, never to show our faces again.
In that service we had a few other moments but we contained ourselves.

ReplyDeleteI know I am going to be in the minority but I think Amanda is a beauty. A natural beauty at that. Most days she doesn't wear a stitch of makeup and her features are stunning.
I wish it was going to be Andy leaving and not Aaryn. Aaryn had been true to her word and very loyal to her alliance. Andy on the other hand.... jumped ship!
I agree that physically Amanda is stunning. My issues with her are not at all physical. I do believe the game has gotten to her, and it's bringing out the worst :(

Hi Carolyn and BBDishers. What a show tonight. Wow Amanda is so nasty and childish, and I admire Elissa for staying cool. I would have given Amanda more than just a piece of my mind. I still don't know why Elissa didn't nominate McCrae and Amanda for eviction initially. Although I do remember she promised to nominate Aaryn to Helen. Quite a night, I'm glad I'm not in that house. Not to mention that it is filthy in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms.

ReplyDeleteBut it was more fair than I expected. It would have taken a 2 hour show to really get the feel for how obnoxious and how long Amanda went on. I guess TV Onlys would have recognized the signs of her medication and because *cough cough* CBS Cares and wouldn't want to have to deal explaining that to the wee ones that watch this show with their parents. As if I would let a preteen watch this show if it were my kid but I know a lot do.

ReplyDeleteGreat show tonight! And the moment I really wanted to see...Andy in the diary room clearly letting us know he is with the exterminators. I think even if McCrae or Amanda win HOH - he'll still be with Exterminators since McCrae or Amanda would put up Elissa and one of them (Judd most likely). They would vote Elissa out and keep Judd.

Okay so Elissa has cooked for the entire house, but what I had to watch twice was McRay flipping his bible cover and running his fingers over the raised letters on the front of the cover may have him thinkin that something is not right that was not meant to be anti semantic in any way but that happened after Amanda was talking about thier parents meeting. So my question is is who is the real McRay? GM is really hurt

Making fun of Andy, working the CBS lot when they found him. Judd says he was wearing a coon skin cap. Judd has a slinky. Judd wonders if Candice is keeping it real with Helen.

9:31pm cams 3/4 Aaryn packing and McCranda being themselves.
Cams 1/2 Andy didn't eat Elissa's food so she playfully cusses him out.
9:37pm Judd comes into the kitchen and asks Andy if he's high. He says yes he had a PB and it was weed. Judd says tomorrow will be the first time we'll have more guys than girls the whole game. Because of me coming back.
9:46pm More lot lizard talk, funny. Judd and Elissa are playing Jengo. Andy joins. Not sure why they blackened the middle of the blocks, maybe the name is on them? Been a while since I've played. Yep, closeup shows it is the name they blacked out. There is some super stealth whispering going on too. Not sure if it's game related.
10:01pm Another example of Elissa cheating. Judd knocks it down a minute later.
10:04pm cams 3/4 Rehashing Amanda's Veto and McGranny. She says she had to do it in DR. Remembering your homies, lay a dental dam down and poor out a beer. Kinda like Survivor.
10:20pm Amanda's blunt definition of diaphragms. GM has hurt her hip I think. They gave her something but Spencer says she should get something better or go bug the medic because he makes lots of money.
10:21pm cams 1/2 Judd and GM play war. They have all kinds of toys and games now. I missed so much. Andy comes in, more stealth whispering.
10:25pm cams 3/4 Amanda story, some guy had brain surgery, doesn't want to talk about it. Dated for 8 months and found out it was a rug. Amanda offends Canadians again. Aaryn says they're sexy. BB terms as sexual innuendo. Amanda says "it's your last night Aaryn, you should go "frog gigging" with Judd".
10:35pm cams 3/4 Amanda offends Asians and others. Spencer says that's just made up slurs but it's still so offensive and McCrae says that's the worst thing I've heard.
10:39pm cams 3/4 Sex in the City talk, mostly offensive. Amanda says to Andy "When you were trying to catch that moth and fell in the pool...we're you floating?" Cabbage toss between Spencer and Aaryn, for a short time.

Aaryn says "all we do is talk about sex and the live feeders are probably so sick of it". Amanda "no way".
10:47pm Movie titles into porn titles. Aaryn says "in the fart fetish of porn GM is probably a rock star".
cams 1/2 Aaryn left one sex convo for another one even worse.
10:58pm I flip to cams 1/2 and GM is making more racial slurs. She says they aren't slurs though. Aaryn and Judd are here too. Judd is saying things too. He is repeating what he heard but it's still offensive.
This whole night will offend so many. Read and watch with caution.
I'm now reading the afternoon report and see this has been going on all day. I can't even type anymore tonight, it's just that bad.

The name calling and ridiculing is beyond tolerable :( I get that people are not happy with Amanda's behaviour but is calling her every vile name you can think of any better in any way??? C'mon people! For the record I am not defending her. I think her actions against Elissa are awful and uncalled for. But this ugliness and constant Amanda bashing is just not good for the soul.

I can state how I feel about that persons Actions, without using words like 'hate' and 'evil', etc. But hey, I guess that's just me.
