If you've been away from the blog and/or the live feeds this weekend, boy oh boy do you have some catching up to do. In a major surprise last night, Hurricane Rachel stormed back into the house, as a result of Brendon opening his own Pandora's Box. He thought he was getting Rachel, but instead he got a personal chef and a massage therapist, while unleashing Rachel on the house for nearly 24 hours.
They never knew what hit em! Rachel managed to stir up so much doubt, the Brigade as we knew may well be done - Matt's out, but he doesn't know it! Also... Yay, golf is over. Can rewatch BB in about an hour as soon as 60 Minutes is over, the longest 60 minutes ever.

Is Ragan getting money to make a video? I thought the original deal was to successfully complete 3 tasks a week; I haven't seen him do any tasks; making a video is not a task (imo). Will he actually be rewarded for this or did I misunderstand the rules?

@ MoNYC I do see your point about Enzo. I guess my take was more that I didn't give him credit for creating the brigade deliberately as a strategy but more just his being himself and creating a male bonding group for personal enjoyment rather than game stragegy. Not sure if that makes any sense, but I attribute Enzo being on the show purely for the popularity of it and attention rather than the joy of the game.
ReplyDeleteAlmost as if he never watches the show, is not a BB fan and a friend or family member convinced him to do it for comic purposes or to get noticed via music.
I guess bottom line is I only see him acting as a character with no depth so that does bias my viewpoint and I will own that.

@ jluvs. No first time I had escargot I was hooked. Was 16 and an Aunt took me too a French restaurant and I tried to order a hamburger. She had a fit, lol and I had frogs legs and escargot instead. Frog legs were okay but man the escargot was off the chain. Had them in the shells soaked in a garlic butter and I pulled those babies out of the shell with the litte doohickey and fell in love for the first time.

Have had them many ways over the years but in the shell or just alone sitting in all that butter are my favorite ways. Never pass them up on a menu.

ReplyDeleteok, just a weird coincidence- I remember in one of the posts yesterday or today, it said that Rachel told Hayden "apparently we yell in the DR" now in EW, they have on the back page a "bullseye" where they rate weekly events on where they fall on a bulls eye. On the outer ring there was the comment "people who yell in the DR on BB" and there were 2 people's pics: Hayden and Rachel. Just found this interesting. They do yell,though. Ok, I am off to watch the show (finally)

ReplyDeleteBut again, in my opinion, Enzo has got his fingers on the pulse of the house. Look, in this episode we saw that he also suggested to Hayden approaching Brendon for a side alliance in order to hedge his bets. He's definitely working the social game and the puppet strings. He befriended everyone and is letting them do the dirty work.
Mo - I agree. Enzo's got mad social game.
ReplyDelete@ jluvs, I am talking a 5 star french restaurant in NYC, lol. The menu was in french and she was trying all these suggestions as I was having a fit. Finally in exasperation she told me Frog legs would be just like having fried chicken so I went for it. Not sure how she got me to try the escargot but I do remember she told me they were snails and I still can't believe I tried them and loved them.

Then louder scream. To record Big Brother, I had to stop recording True Blood. Not a disaster though. I've got it set now to record at 10:30 GDT.

@ Mo, I will give you that 100%. Clearly Enzo has mad killer street smarts all the way. Can you just imagine what a force he would be if he actually played the game full time?
ReplyDeleteI guess I am trying to say I see Enzo playing himself full time, an awesome self I will grant you versus I see everybody else playing a game.
Does that make any sense? Don't get me wrong, if I have my back up against the wall, I would probably pick Enzo to be on my team, lol. and he has entertained the heck out of me with his late night shenanigans.
Frankly I would love to see Enzo up on the block at this stage of the game especially against another Brogade member and enjoy the heck out of watching him manuver to get himself off the hoook.
It's probably an itty bitty point of difference, but I see all the other HG playing a mixture of who they really are and a game persona, when I see Enzo I see all him versus his game persona which I think he has and would love to see.

ReplyDeleteBut no Brendon has to play NeanderTall and step right up with a new wet papertowel and do the job better. And we wonder why no one else in the house cleans? Heck if I have a manservant who is going to insist upon doing all the work, I say let him go for it and I will just enjoy myself, lol.
I have a thing about texture and food too -- tho not with tomatoes. I can eat those like apples! :) Coconut and broccoli on the other hand - the texture gets me every time.
