In honor of BB11 Jeff & Jordan's participation in this season of The Amazing Race, it just seems fitting to throw a viewing party for TAR Premiere night!

I hope you made it well into the season and got the chance to experience some incredible sights together. Win or lose, it had to be terrific to participate in something so completely opposite of Big Brother together... I imagine it was quite a trip jumping from a goal of remaining boxed-in a soundstage to jet-setting maniacally around the whole wide world.
To everyone else, I hope you're all having a wonderful winter, and keeping as warm n' toasty as possible! As TAR premieres tonight, it's even cold here in Florida! Well, cold for us anyway...
I've spent the past month volunteering for relief efforts in Haiti. Being in South Florida, we're especially tied to the Haitian community. They're a wonderful people, this is an enormous task, and I'm honored to be able to help out in my small way. I hope you are too.
In addition to the many charitable organizations that are having fund drives, I'm especially impressed by the scores of individuals on eBay that have gone to the trouble of setting up auctions where the proceeds go straight to Haitian relief. This link will take you straight to those auctions.
As far as committed individuals go, I've also been very impressed with a young pastor by the name of Shaun King. He's single-handedly begun a crusade to get 200,000 tents to Haiti before rainy season begins in 2 weeks. Here's the link to his site: aHomeInHaiti.org

I'm also very psyched for the show tonight, and as a former Angeleno, the 1st challenge sounds painfully difficult:
This may be laughable for some, but having lived in L.A., I can tell you, most people aren't even aware we have public transportation! I sure wasn't. Good luck getting help from any locals on the street!
Honestly, if it were me, I'd rather have heard Phil say, "You all have to walk to LAX." The task would have seemed less daunting.

Haha, its been a long while since I've been here, but I'm SO happy to be here now! So excited about TAR! I eat up anything regarding Jeff and Jordan...I love it! Don't think I'll be sticking around during the show...but afterwords, you bet I'll be around to gush!
How I love and adore J and J!! I miss you too Carolyn!! You Rule! Glad to hear that you are at a point in your life where you can volunteer and help those that are suffering and in need!! That...is an awesome feat!! I know that I also love to volunteer at at local level in my community too! It is a great feeling to know that you are impacting someone elses life...someone that is in need! And if you are able....I think that its essential that we help each other when we can!

I fell behind on the show. I thought it was starting at 9 so I spent the entire hour catching up with my DVR, and missing out on the dish comments. I', catching up now though :)
Okay, now I get to gush---
I am SO proud of both of them! First place~~~ I knew they could do it! They were soooo cute together!!! =] And Jeff man, he was hilarious~ his Spanish was kinda cute too haha. I love how he was jumping and dancing all the time! So different from what I got to see on BB...you could tell they were both so excited! And I loved Jordan pushing her way to the ticket counter and screaming "WE NEED TICKETS TO CHINA!" Love them! <3

hey carolyn..i just wanted to let you know what the church i attend is doing for haiti. my pastor and his wife have two children from there and a few other couples in our church have children from haiti as well. as of right now we have a team of 23 ministers/medical professionals who went packed with supplies/medicines to treat the people. we have a tent set up at a place called mission of hope which is an orphanage ran by some missionaries that our church supports. and there is another team..of 3 i believe, 2 doctors and my pastor who are going into the trenches trying to find and rescue people. the weather has been rainy, hot and humid...but good reports are coming! it's only day 2 for them! just thought you'd like to know since your heart is so sensitive to that nation and the situation!
