Friday Morning in the BB15 House

Happy Friday, BB Lovers! Much to my surprise, BB woke the HGs early this morning.  Why?  They're having a final 3 brunch.  There's an excellent possibility that BB will use the brunch to to the Reminiscing Sequence that they do every season.

If this is your 1st time on BBDish today, here are a couple of posts you may want to have a look at:
The Overnight ReportF3 Endurance Comp CoverageHow the 3 Part Final 3 HoH Works, and last but not least, Big Brother RENEWED for Summer 2014!

8:40am  The HGs are UP and getting ready for something.. GM's getting her makeup on, Spencer is already showered and dressed, and Andy's heading into the shower.
8:45am
Gm and Spencer are chatting about Laundry, which naturally progresses into nasty comments about McCrae and Candice.

Spencer: I think you'll do good in the questions.
GM: If it's about people, I think I'll know a little bit about everybody..

GM: 1 step closer, Spence.
Spencer: mm hmm
GM: I believe you gonna be smellin' the bacon today..
Spencer: They said brunch, so I imagine it's breakfasty things..  Ever had quiche?  It's like an omelet pie.
**Ahh.. ok.. they're about to do the reminiscey thing the Final 3 do every year.

GM: I think my mom made that.

8:52am
Spencer leaves the room. GM changes into a dress, then sprays some deodorant up into her skirt area..

Andy remains showering..

In case you were wondering, this is the face you might make if you knew in your heart that the only way you would get to the final 2 is if you took yourself there.. and even then, would the jury do unto you as they did unto Dan? (**his comparison last night, not mine)

9am
In the living room, GM is showing Spencer pageant walks..  Talk turns to Candice.. GM says they should've been best friends in the house, as she's the only girl in the house she had so much in common with.  She blames it on Aaryn.

Spencer: Candice was a wild animal.  She's like one of those dogs that bite you when you're pettin' em.

9:06pm
Andy: I like that dress.
GM: It's the cockaroach dress, which is why I never wear it.  It's also my Playboy Mansion dress.
Spencer: Did you meet Hugh Hefner?
GM: I did not.  I was there twice..

She tells them about an event she went to there with massive swag.   As you can see, Andy's mind is elsewhere.

GM: I don't think he's doing very well.. I was there twice, and he didn't even come out.

9:10am
Spencer: One thing that's cool about Hugh Hefner is he's really forward thinking.. like about gay rights, and civil rights back in the 60s..

Chatter about Hugh Hefner transitions to Chicago and Al Capone..

9:12am
GM: We should be goin to the HoH Room soon..
Andy: I heard building outside.
Spencer: I'm kinda envious of GM. She doesn't have anything to worry about til Wednesday.

Talk turns to the Comp last night..

Andy: Once it got slippery, it was impossible.
Spencer:  Your knee feels ok?
Andy: It's a little sore, but it's ok.
Spencer: You might wanna have them get you a knee brace, just for safety sake.

9:16a
Talk turns to Heath - the Comp Design Rock Star..  Skippy sends us fishing, and then into Trivia.  It may be brunch time..

10:32am
We get a blip of the HGs.. Perhaps the feeds will return soon?

**Our Long time friend and contributor Jane just dropped this into the comment section.  Looks like Andy may be another casualty of the season..
**My guess is that the college was harassed by someone's rabid and overzealous fanbase, enough that they posted a cleverly worded statement to make them go away.

10:52am
It seems our little nanosecond blip of feeds 20 minutes ago may have been a control room oopsie.

11:09am
Stillllll Trivia!

11:41am
Feeds are back!  Andy and Spencer are clearing the table while GM remains seated, eating.  They carry the serving tray to the storage room, then all 3 help with the dishes.

GM: That was an awesome brunch, guys.  I'm so glad we got to do that.
Spencer: I woke up this morning and prepared all of this for you.
Andy: All I did this morning was wake up in a new Bugatti..

11:50am
Back to chatter and mad smack talk about departed HGs with the final 3.. and the coming part 2 of the final 3 HoH.

Noon
OK.. This is where I take my leave.. Tonight is Yom Kippur.  I need to get my head right, get ready for services and eat something.. I'll be back Saturday night, following the holiday.

"...this is the face you might make if you knew in your heart that the only way you would get to the final 2 is if you took yourself there..."

Exactly what I was thinking. No way GM brings Andy, and Andy is smart enough to know that Spencer's forte is blowing smoke up everybody's tochus, he has watched it non stop for the past three weeks.

The sad part for andy is he is relying on votes for game play, and his competition vis-a-vis GM and even Spencer in that vein is non distinguishable.

Andy will never convince Elissa, Helen, Amanda or McCrae that he was the one "making decisions".

He will ceretainly get Candice's vote, but any others?

So play hard Andy you need the next two competitions or you played for third place and destroyed the games of Helen, McCrae and Amanda in doing everything you colud to win, you remember those people, your final 4!

BTW, i can only see two people as possible invitees for All-Stars, McCrae and Helen.

Caro, thanks for everything you do and did this trying season, Good Yom Tov and may you have an easy fast!

Andy has been fired too. Yes, I am disgusted with all of their behavior. But CBS and Endemol are ripe for a major class action lawsuit. This is no longer a game, it is an opportunity for extraordinarily wealthy corporations to use and destroy average people for profit. The house guests' behavior is a reflection of a time where their are no social boundaries, and television is perpetuating and exploiting it to the detriment of everyone. It is sad, pathetic, and immoral. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-eU1jcFvgHow/UjMwS4NGnLI/AAAAAAAAiks/zeAN3J3hAx8/s1600/du.bmp

Andy lost his job too??? Wow. I know the houseguests' actions/words were despicable this season, but....this seems a little harsh.

And how can it be legal for corporations to fire their employees when they're not even there??? I thought they signed some sort of contract before leaving....

Just wow.

Re: Andy's job. It's true, that statement does not definitively state that he will no long be employed by the college in the future. He is an adjunct so he is contracted each semester he works. But unlike Spencer who has a union backing him, Andy is the lowest on the totem pole in an at-will situation.

As a former labor lawyer my best educated guess is that Spencer will not be fired and Andy will not be rehired. It's pretty unlikely the school would post a statement like that and rehire him. If he was a tenured professor it would be different, but he is literally a temp.

For what it's worth, my 2 cents is they shouldn't rehire him. While less offensive than many, he has hardly lived up to any professional code of conduct I can think of and this is not private behavior (to say the least).

That said, I think production has perpetuated and even orchestrated the behavior in the house and should be held accountable as well.

From my experience teaching the very thing Andy teaches, a part-time instructor (adjunct faculty) at a college has a contract to teach specific courses at a (low!) flat rate per course, one term at a time. He couldn't be working this fall term anyway. As for the next term, they can choose to offer him classes or not (if he wants them) based on many factors, including how his "fame" might influence his ability to do the job, and how many other people could do it. Lots of people I know move in and out of those positions as needed to pick up some funds while pursuing a higher level degree (in hopes of getting a tenure-track position at some point) or pursuing some other passion (like getting famous on reality TV). Keep in mind Andy is part of an improv group in Chicago as well. Chances are that job was never a long-term career plan for him.

I still have no clue who Spencer would take to the final two, I'm pretty sure that the other two would take him.

I don't think these people are getting fired over what they say in the BB house, but because of the firestorm of public reaction driven by social media.

It doesn't take long to ruin someone's life.

Is Ginamarie raciest or just completely ignorant of politically correct language? Is Spencer a misogynist or does he just carry sophomoric (meaningless) locker room talk to the extreme for shock value? I think you would have to know them outside of that environment to know. I wouldn't want to ruin their lives because they didn't provide the type of entertainment I was expecting when I paid for the feeds.

I think we have all been very harsh and have been piling on. This season has been a pretty good example of the crowd mentality both inside, and outside, the house.

All that said, I'm still not in love with any of this years cast and it was, IMO, the least enjoyable season.

The bar for bad behavior in a job like professor is a lot lower then say railroad conductor or bartender. He swears incessantly, he talks about his sexual exploits, he "hates" other people with an aggressive attitude, and the worst and very serious thing in a college context, is he talks about being black out drunk constantly. If I were the chair of the department the drinking thing alone would keep me from hiring him back. In the context of a college setting that could get a tenured professor fired. It may seem mundane to many, but it's about context.

Words will come back to haunt you ~ what does it take for someone to get fired? Lot of companies do not stand for some of those exact words that we are hearing from their mouths ~ and in today's world where it is mass appeal to be politically correct and socially unacceptable when you start bashing someone's child or the name calling that most of them have done ~ Not one of them provide good role models unless they are being used to portray "how not to act" A college teacher that is just as pathetic as someone who works in Pageants ~ not too many of them deserve all the attention they will be receiving but it might be a good wake up call on how America does see them.

I would love to see All Stars next season. I think from this season Helen would be the only one asked. Or maybe they bring Rachel, Brenden, and Ellisa back at the same time. Could you imagine that? I am a fan of Rachel, but really dont know that I could handle the 3 of them.

I dont know who I would be semi ok with winning this season. I have to put comments aside and go on who played the best game. Was it Spencer who went on the block over and over and never left? Andy who was the social butterfly and go back and forth between everyone staying under the radar? GM who is too obsessed with Nick to notice the game until the very end?
Im very interested to see how the jury votes though!

Hello Carolyn and Fellow Dishers!

America’s Favorite Player?

Several people have mentioned that they feel like they “threw their vote away” on their favorite player, since everyone assumes that Elissa will automatically win it.

If you feel like an established fan base gives a player an unfair advantage, then I have a suggestion. Why don’t we all decide to pool our votes on one person? Surely we can surpass the Brenchal army votes if we don’t spread our votes amongst too many HGs.

I would like to suggest that we vote for McCrae as America’s Favorite Player. Before anyone asks, I am not a friend or relative and I don’t know a single person involved with the show, LOL!

Let me list the reasons why I am suggesting McCrae:

1. He won 2 HOHs and 3 Vetoes. To date, no one else has more comp wins (Aaryn tied him with 4 HOHs and 1 Veto).
I believe he could have won more. In at least two comps, he seemed to hold back once everyone except another 3AM alliance member had been eliminated.

2. He is a Big Brother super fan. I believe he went through the entire application process and was not selected because he was “spotted by a recruiter”.

3. While it is true that he should have spent more time interacting with the other HGs, I do believe that he is a strategic player. I think he tried to hang back and be “low key” to avoid becoming more of a target, since he was already perceived as a comp threat.

4. He seems to be a genuinely nice guy. I can’t even remember any of the other HGs saying that they disliked him.

5. I believe that 25K would make a huge difference in his life, whereas some of the others seem more financially secure.

Of course, everyone’s vote is theirs to use however they see fit. If you have a true favorite player, then by all means vote for them. But, like a lot of you this year, I just did NOT see a HG that I was 100% rooting for.

Happy viewing, fellow Big Brother fans…. what a game!

Signed, OLDERandWISER

wow good morning Car and dishers. *steps on soap box*

ty for posting that. I for one am happy with the school. TY.

Now yes losing jobs sucks and maybe some of it was sired up by the production team but production didn't tell spencer to talk about kiddie porn, nor tell andy and gm to talk the way they have or say what they said.
I think they will all need help when they get out after all they have been on tv and live feeds for 3 months +. They have shown America, friends, family's, and students what they act like when they aren't in the class, or on the train, or working with kids on stage.

They brought on the results them selves with the way they acted and spoke.

I do hope next season perhaps more house guests will be less potty mouth, less raciest, and less offensive to the out side world. If for no other reason, remembering what happened this year to these House guests.

I am sorry if i don't feel bad for them. I am sorry if many ppl here disagree with me but this is the truth of the matter.

No one made them say and do what they did. They chose to do and say these things. They must face the consequences when they get out. \

How many lost there jobs? Or have been introuble out side. GM, Ayyrn, Amanda, Spencer, now Andy? I think i heard Cadice too I am not sure Jermay? Who else?

If next year hg's sit around bad mouthing ppl or races, maybe one fan of the show will stand up and say "Don't say this stuff. Do you remember what happened last year at least 5 ppl lost there jobs, Spencer's house was searched by the police, "

things like this will shake the other HG's to their core and maybe we will be able to watch the feeds with out having to mute ppl talking trash and making child porn comment,s or raciest comments?

*steps down off soap box bows and runs away before chased by pitchforks*

Carolyn, thank you for continuing to cover this disappointing season. I am so hoping someone besides Allison & Rich will be handpicking the HG for BB 16.

Re Andy's employment status. He was an adjunct professor, not a full-time professor. Adjuncts have to sign a new contract every semester so as such, Andy could not have been fired since he is obviously not under contract for the current fall semester. That doesn't mean the college will invite him back to teach again.

The one thing that has really struck me about this season was how Amanda changed. Remember early on when she tried to talk to Aaryn about how things she had said could be perceived as racist? Then Amanda changed...I'm guessing being in that bubble called the BB house turned her into the bully she eventually became. Had she shown the compassionate side of Amanda all the way through, she would have made it much farther, I think.

I think Andy will easily win Part 2 over Spencer. The question is who will he take? His odds of winning against Spencer are better than GM, in my opinion. With who's left, the only acceptable F2 in my mind would be GM/Andy.

The "n" word has never been classified in the politically correct or non politically correct vein of terms. In these days of information and technology everywhere GinaMarie's use of that word and many other words that in all ways, shapes and forms are racist and ignorance is not an excuse. It's not like she lives in a hole in the ground cut off from society. She works with young women. No way does she not know better (sorry for the double negative there). She is a horrific excuse for a human being and I am willing to look past almost everything else (maybe not Spencer) that others have said this season but she never quits....never never never. Her day is not complete unless she is tearing someone down in the worst most degrading way. I don't like any of the final three this season but I will root for anyone that is NOT GinaMarie to win this game.

Good afternoon Carolyn and all

Lucky13 enjoy your day. Today is my daughters 10 wedding anniversary so 13 is considered a lucky number/day in our lives as well

I know bb has be renewed for BB16, but it is just a rumor that it will be All Stars isn't it. I am not ready to see anyone from past seasons yet. Couldn't take another season of Rachel two was good. I want to see real people who have screened and interviewed by Board Certified psychologists. Shock factor people like the crew we have seen this year and the mob mentality of voting as a unit should be discouraged. I may be in the minority with my thinking but I believe in this country of ours there must've 14 people who could qualify. No models, no wanna be actors/actresses no future talk show host. This is a game let it bea true game not a stepping stone for someone trying to make it in the business. I applaud all those who have succeeded in this venture. I know I couldn't do it. I also don't want to see young people who are on so much medication. How does that make them good candidates for this "experiment". I am 65 years old and thank God I have never need anti depressive drugs, or anxiety medication. It makes me very nervous to know several of these past HGs have been dependent.

On another note thanks again Carolyn for your dedication I will catch the tip jar again next week

I went to the College of DuPage website and Andy had glowing reviews from his students. Andy is one of my least favorite players, but I have a nephew that is considered one of the best teachers around, and when he plays cards, he cheats. It's a game...from what I read by his students he is fair, engaging and inspiring. We can't afford to lose good teachers because of playing a silly game in a devious way. I do love to watch this 'silly' game though....and I love to hate the bad players every year. There is no room for racism, jokes about child porn or mocking players' children, but I know too many good people that tell nasty jokes and talk about crude subjects to believe that Andy should lose his job because of his actions in the BB house. Who are we to judge?

McCrae, I don't think did enough in the game to warrant an invite. He was one of my favorites going into the game, then he let Amanda control his game, and lost me.

Elissa??? I am not interested in seeing her again. She did not come to Big Brother to play the game, she simply wanted to take the opportunity to promote herself, which I am not a fan of.

I could see Andy being asked back, possibly Judd as well. Heck, they may even invite Jeremy--if they want a more controversal player back, which I am sure they would not say no to.

I kind of would like to see Kaitlin come back, now that she has more of an idea of what the whole game of Big Brother is--just to see if she would actually play the game this time instead of treating it like a vacation. I think she had no idea what Big Brother was when she signed up.

Each year around this time rumors circulate that BB is on its last leg. Viewership is down, the BB15 "cast" the worst and least redeemable of any past (yes, even worse than Evel Dick and progeny)bunch, and I gave up on the show right after Helen left (coincidence; didn't like her), not even checking feeds. THIS was the first year I bought the feeds. Bought night #1. I have watched perhaps 15 minutes total out of the whole time. Would I care if on finale night entire audience, cast, and crew winked out of existence? Not even a little and it's doubtful too many of them would be missed. See, here's the thing. You can SAY "Well, he/she only acted that way because it's a game." Friends (or enemies if you choose), during times of greatest stress the true you comes out. I personally wouldn't trust ONE of the BB15 cast to carry my pooper scooper. I am an ULTRA hard person to get along with if you're not on the up and up, and this bunch was the worst I've ever seen. Do I care if this gets posted? No. I put it out there in the ether and as you should know from Physics 101energy NEVER dies; it just changes form. Here's hoping the energy I put into this comment draws a meteor out of the sky, snuffs the BB15 cast so the world can breathe a sigh of relief at the fact that none of them will continue contributing to the human (maybe) gene pool thereby further insuring the decline of civilization. Too harsh? Who cares?

What an extremely disappointing final 3! Actually a disappointing cast overall. This was by far the crudest and most self-centered group of BB house guests so far. Many of them couldn't complete an entire sentence that didn't need to have something bleeped out for TV. I don't wonder that some of them lost jobs or will not get re-hired because of their actions on the BB house. I'm glad I'm not on the jury as I would not want to reward any of these players for their "game play".

http://raganfox.wordpress.com/

He defends Andy, as a fellow professor, and in light of some idiot psycho posting the phone number of Andy's bosses on line and asking people to call to get him fired. THIS HAS TO STOP! We have seen that the best players are targeted year after year...remember Shelly? She's my best memory of that season's feeds. Ragan says he was targeted like that too. NO ONE INTERESTING WHO HAS A GOOD JOB WILL EVER APPEAR ON THE SHOW! It could cause the end of BB...Just Jessies and models, unemployed people...wanna-bes....

Andy is an extremely popular professor. Very highly rated. People on the blog don't go crazy, thanks to Carolyn, but on the chats, other websites, it's scary for HGs. Andy was the least offensive jerk--even Elissa, queen of goodness said everyone else was disgusting every 5 minutes and trashed private details of their lives. Only Howard and Candice were less memorable as bad-mouthing trash talkers. Nick left too soon to get a chance...

Andy hopefully will have a lot of defenders. He deserves to win more than the others. He held his tongue for so long, it may have been strategy to fit in with a final 3 or 4 or 5 of terrible losers? All the "rat" stuff is actually playing the game!

PS I posted it elsewhere, but Rob has a podcast (at Rob has a website.com) did a special Friday night show, posted there and on youtube, with Danielle Reyes of season 3. She rocked! Full of opinions on this season and the whole show, all seasons, all HGs, her seasons, best players and a surprise about season 6 votes. Best podcast all year!

Good evening Carolyn, or I know it will be when you read this.

I hope you had a meaningful fast and ... Gmar Chatimah Tovah.

Big Brother didn't explode into flames, nor did anyone in the house or the jury. At least not literally so 'may you have an easy time catching up with them also'.

I took the entire day off yesterday although it had nothing to do with religion. All the same it was a wonderful experience and I feel refreshed if not reborn. Since it was Friday the 13th I stayed in bed and slept so no one could give me any bad news. It helps that I can and have slept through hurricanes. I didn't hear the phone ring a single time and someone called 8 or 9 times in a 5 minute period. Never heard a thing.

So I don't think I ever commented yesterday before I went to bed and if I did it was via phone so I have no idea what I said. I don't recall that, as Helen said when confronted.

But I woke up to a new day in a new mood. The two verses from the song below, by Kris Kristofferson says it all for me.

♫ ♫ ♫ ♫
I don't care who's right or wrong
I don't try to understand
Let the devil take tomorrow
Lord, tonight I need a friend

Yesterday is dead and gone
And tomorrow's out of sight
Lord, it's sad to be alone
Help me make it through the night
♫ ♫ ♫ ♫

It's true. I don't care anymore. I can't analyze these people. I won't even try. No one could pay me enough money to do it. That takes care of the first verse.

As for the second verse, well, that's the way my mind works these days. It's called getting old, or in polite circles some say it's 'having a senior moment'. I don't always travel in polite circles so I have a lot of ways to say it.

I've decided to think of Big Brother as just what it is, a social experiment. Some have switched it off this year and have begun to refer to it as a freak-show. I see the humor in that because there is much truth to that explanation. It gets freakier every season. If that is what AGP was going for then 'Praise Jesus', Allison Grodner just hit a BINGO.

As for the social experiment, I've been thinking about that and... oh well... it's to late to stop now. I'm not so sure who the lab rats in this experiment gone so wrong really are anymore.

At times I have looked at it as a loosely scripted show which, honestly, I think that's what all reality shows come down to. People come into this show in particular, and most of them are fans of the past seasons. They know what they are getting into when they send in that first audition tape. They are wannabe actors and actresses that think this is their big break. They come in knowing what character they want to or are told to portray, and from there on out it is ad-lib your way to the end if you can.

But... there's always a but... Are we the real lab rats in this experiment? Is Big Brother watching US? We get so wrapped up in their summer, we, at times, make fools of ourselves by getting so engrossed in what we are shown that we believe it's all real. To make it worse, we tend to have selective memory of what we have seen. Many issues become like the 'Telephone Game'. We think we hear it correctly and we take that ball and run with it. We swear it's true and refuse the explanation of others. We are so stubborn that we even hurt the feelings of other, and what's worse, is we don't really care. We just want to be right, and we want to be first. 'He who speaks first gets the most believers' seems to become our biggest tenet.

Skipping forward...

Sadly we end our summer feeling so many things. Most do not belong in a list of things we should feel from television entertainment. We feel guilty, guilty for hurting other's feelings and discrediting their beliefs. We feel stressed when we should be feeling better because we have been entertained. We are left unfulfilled because we weren't satisfied with the outcome.

And this season, we feel dirty. Yes dirty. We have watched countless hours of live feeds and 3 hours of TV per week watching people we wouldn't want to share a meal with. Not because we are better than them, at least I hope no one feels that, but because we really have nothing in common with them and we probably don't share their morals, nor do they share ours.

I may continue this but it's getting much too long. It's why I can't Blog. I can't express myself in 500 words. I can't even complete my thoughts in a thousand words.

For now, I'll hit publish and when and if it appears, I'll read it again and continue on or apologize and start over. For now I'll end this and go shower. A shower can be the answer because when I think back on Big Brother 15, I feel dirty.

Part 2 of 2

They had to do a comp that involved putting HGs in order while climbing a wall. Sounds intense.

It was timed and they did it separate. That's pretty normal. They had to dig the HGs out of the sand too. It doesn't sound like this is the same theme as part 1 like we had heard. They both say it was the hardest thing they did all summer.

Okay, so they had to dig crabs with HGs name/pic on them then climb a rock wall and put them in a boat on the top.

I think whichever one wins part three they take Spencer for sure. That's a guaranteed win.

It seems 2 me many of the bbfans want to put Elissa down bks they think she is a "snob" etc. To which I have only one comment:

When you are the dregs, residing at the bottom of the barrel, it is easy enough to call anyone looking in and observing your behavior as being a snob. I am better than most of you and I believe Elissa is also. If that makes me a snob, then I wear the title proudly.
