Big Brother gave Memphis and Dan a nice Bocci Ball set, as well as a badminton set. After Dan teaches Memphis how to play Boccie Ball, they begin. Memphis gets the swing of it very quickly.

Good afternoon Carolyn and all dishers! I love your site and it really seems like you're all a big family who really care about each other. I am fairly new to posting on this site so please bare with me.
Regarding the AC voting, someone wondered what percentage of voters would be TV only voters and therefore how would they affect the vote. Up until season 8 I was a TV only viewer until I found your site. I now realize how the editing really sways a TV only viewer's view of each HG. Therefore, most TV viewers will probably vote for Jerry. However, I think TV viewers may only take the time to vote the 8 times once only. If they don't take the time to invest on a site like yours, they won't take the time to vote each of the five days. I know I didn't when I was only seeing the 3 days of the show. That gives a big advantage to our votes as your site and sites like yours will be reminding people to vote each of the 5 days. I think if there are about 5 million viewers that will vote, maybe 1 million are site viewers giving Keesha a chance at 40 million votes. If 4 million TV viewers vote for Jerry with only 8 votes each that gives him only 32 million votes. So therefore if we all vote each day we have the advantage.
I hope I am making some kind of sense.

I'm on the West side of Ike, so who knows.... they say we may have no power for two weeks - yikes!! I have never gone more than a day, that will be like Survivor to me! By the way Carolyn, thank you soooo much for all you do..... you know how we all watch BB but they don't know us? That's how it is here.... I've been reading this blog for the past two seasons but have never posted, so I feel like I know you all but you don't know that I know you. :-) Finally dipped my toe in the pool to take a swim. I think Dan has been the star player and it seemed clear to me, from almost the beginning, that he would win. I love hearing him talk about his hometown, I am from Battle Creek, Mich., not far from Dearborn, but have been here since '83. I think Dan will go back to his home life pretty quickly but Memphis and Keesha will definitely be sticking around for their 15+ minutes. They are not living in LA for nothing! Has anybody else signed up to get access to see Natalie's art? I did, and once I was granted access, it wasn't all it's cracked up to be... she says people tell her she looks like Carmen Electra. ??? hhmmmm, someone needs glasses.... I wonder if they will tell Libra about Ike. I am not crazy about the way she treated people, but she's been gone so long from her babies, I hope her family makes it through Ike okay.... I enjoyed watching the guys bask in their victory last night! I really like both of them & believe they should be proud of themselves. Most people that close to winning that kind of money & sitting at the top would be feeling pretty good about themselves too. I think they are good guys & are just feeling their oats right now for their victory. They stuck to their plan & pulled it off!
I have wondered when Dan is going to tell Mem about the day trip. Michelle will certainly bring it up. I had a feeling Dan wanted to last night. He told Mem there are so many things I want to tell you but I can't do it here & Mem said the same back to Dan. I felt it was mostly about private lives but I also got the feeling Dan wanted to explain some of his game play too. Jerry doesn't know about it yet, either or at least Dan didn't tell him.
Watching Jerry with Julie made me sick. Throws his son out there with no thought to how it might effect him. His son is not a young man & I don't know his situation but why does Daddy have to come his rescue. Jeery should be able to enjoy his retirement with his wife & not be worried about his son's kids & where they will be living. Also, once again bringing up Dan's religion. And, the only regret he has is calling Dan "that name"? He has no regret for the vile things he said about other HG especially Keesha? He is such a creepy, man.
Saw Jeery on HC. Got the feeling he is very aware of the vile things said & is already asking for forgiveness from his family. He hinted that the house causes people to act different & they shouldn't be held accountable. Hmmmm, some other HG didn't have to resort to those things. He also has done nothing but praise Ollie, April & Michelle. I don't remember them being as crazy about him as he seems to be about them. They were only using him.
Here's hoping that Memphis isn't overly angry with Dan about the trip. I hope he takes it in the manner of game play. A little put out about not telling him but still can see it as a good strategy.

I hope he tells him, it'd be really smart. Memphis would probably appreciate it.
I'm thinking that Dan is not going to tell Memphis because it will take him off guard during the inquisition. Memphis won't have time to think, he'll just react, and it's a fairly safe bet that reacting is never suave. Memphis isn't quick on his feet verbally like Dan is. I think Dan is playing the odds. Let him spin and prepare, or react and fall of his game. Sure, Memphis will be pissed "on a personal level" for 20 minutes, but he'll get over it and Dan will have 500k to sooth his guilt.

I know Survivor will never be 24-7 live feeds but why can't they team up with real for bonus weekly footage that doesn't air on tv. like 3 or 4 hours a week. it would be an incentive to keep superpass

I agree with most who are sad to see the end, but happy that Dan and Memphis stuck together to the F2! Wow! What a show last night! Best season in a very long time, IMO.
I have to admit I've been a tv-only in past seasons, but this one was just too good to pass up with live feeds, blog posts and discovering the terrific online community, especially here, I've found a whole new BB experience. My thanks to you, one and all, for being such a nice, funny, and respectful group to hang with. I look forward to spending time with you for Survivor and TAR.
And, yes, Noni! I absolutely agree we should hit the tip jar hard and heavy on Tuesday night in appreciation for these ladies!

GO DAN! His game play has been near flawless (excepting a few staged-for-tv blunders) and he is by far the most strategic, innovative, and entertaining hg so far (not taking away from our dear Renny, but Dan has the exuberance of youth on his side ... and a total dislike of boredom).
I do love Memphis also, but for game play, Dan has him beat. He stayed under the radar a little too long.
At least this season I will be fine with either of the F2 winning; I just think Dan played a better game.
Keesha for AC! Wouldn't she be surprised?! And what a nice surprise to find out that America didn't hate you after all ... we left that distinction for April ... heehee
As for Ollie, I personally don't think he put his heart in the game; but arguably he did put another part of anatomy to use; often and with complete disregard to his boys at home ... and he thought it was Dan who disgraced him! Go figure!
In all, it's been a blast here with the DishChicks, et al. Looking forward to the start of Survivor!

To all those in Ike's path, my thoughts and prayers are with you. The images they are showing on tv are just awful already. I've been reading everyone's comments about the preparations they have made, and I'm very glad to hear that. It still is looking like the whole state, and all the way up into the mid-west is going to get a lot of rain. And I really hope everyone in Louisiana is able to avoid any tornadoes. Mother nature can be quite scary.
I don't know if Dan will tell Memphis today or not. He may have been lulled into thinking it wouldn't come up since it hasn't yet.
Even if Memphis finds out from the jury I agree with Jane that he'll only be mad for a bit and then get over it.

I have a ?. Last night on Showtime after dark, they said a new season of Big Brother After Dark would start tonight. Can someone tell me what that was all about.
Hi, everyone, popping back in again. had a lot of running around to do today. Pool guy finally got back here today with the right size cover and new water bags (the other batch even though brand new all leaked). Its all covered up again and I promise no wandering in the back yard at night and fooling with the pump that keeps the water off the cover.
I am more worried about April than Michelle talking about Dan's trip. Where Michelle will probably mention it I think she is appreciating Dan's play. April will take her knowledge of it and twist it in a way to try to sabotage Dan, by angering other jury members and Ollie. I'm sure she will use it to make sure Jeery does not turn his vote to Dan.
I would hate to see April serve on a real jury. Hopefully if she ever gets called the persons interviewing potential jurors will have seen BB10. I hope This may sound mena but I hope someone sent C=venus chops of April( especially the Borg Queen to her myspace) She is never going to change unless she gets a real dose of how she is perceived. She nedds a real good look of herself making all those hateful faces too. Sadly she will probably just perceive everyone as jealous of her.
I can't imagine how mortified Jeery's son musy have been at his fathers comments to Julie. I had really hoped more of the entetainment shows would out his behavior in the house more.
I am going to have to go back and watch last night's show after the comment about April and Ollie perhaps already being kaput. Does anyone think Ollie may have been clued in a bit about what was seen, somehow?

They are so entertaining. Can you imagine a sitcom with those 2 in it...maybe they could make Renny one of their moms. I am missing everyone at this point...well, not everyone, can do without A/O/J. I really think Michelle could be alot of fun to be around,,,oh he$$, who am I kidding....I just want the Fab 4 back... I miss Keesha's laughter. This season has HELPED me. I don't know how to really explain other than I was widowed last year and have been going through alot and finding you all here, meeting you all, reading your comments, watching BBAD, etc...Has given me something to look forward to every single day this summer... And has helped me find my way back to being myself again. That may not make any sense to anyone else, for my lack of not knowing how to explain, but I just want to say a big Thank You to Carolyn and the Dishchicks & to Chelsia (whom was my favorite last season, I would have thrown the eggs and told them Suck an egg..lol) I may not post much but I am always here peaking around to see what is going on.

Since the feeds are rather boring (to put it mildly), I watched the interview on RP with Steven and Brian. Now I know why you wouldn't paraphrase some of things they were saying, Carolyn. Holy cow, they didn't hold back. I found myself cracking up laughing, especially when they talked about Jerry, April and Michelle. I would love to go the wrap party, just to see the interactions between the HG's. Especially since these two have been ripping everyone apart. In the immortal words of Herman Munster, "oh wowy wow, wow, wowy zonk!"
I'm gonna miss you all Soooooo much during the offseason. I'll be here for EVERY Survivor and Amazing Race (as those were my 1st and 2nd loves before BB) and will be praying for another winter addition of BB.

I don't know how to thank you for all your hard work and dedication. (except of course by hitting up the tip jar) You are so upbeat and positive and it always brightens my day to read your transcripts/comments. Thank you for being so positive and upbeat and always finding something nice to say about all the houseguests. I don't know what i'll do now that I won't be able to "feed the addiction" as my wife calls it...but i'll manage I suppose.
Center Square didn't really worked out like I thought, but if it couldn't be her then i'm so glad it was Dan and Memphis and i'll keep hoping and wishing and thinking and prayin that Dan swings enough to win it all. Either way, 50 Grand will help both Memphis and Dan tremendously.
Well I guess that is about it. This will probably be my last post of the season (at least until Survivor starts) so adios extended family and I hope you all come back for some viewing parties/post show parties in the comments later this month.

BTW, cakegirl, I saw, on tv, the 'morons' you mentioned being in the bar during Ike! I thought the same thing!!!! You could tell all they cared about was their next drink and cigarette.... I swear that lady with the 'side pony tail' was already three sheets to the wind. I imagine they will all be passed out by the time the eye hits, and the sad part is, just like a person driving drunk and causing an accident, they are the least hurt because they are so 'lubricated'. It's sad but true..... I enjoy my wine, but I never put myself or others in harms way..............

I am so sorry for your loss. I also found myself alone after 35 years of marriage however it was not by being widowed. Like yourself I have latched onto this site and it has helped me so much. It helps ease the feeling of isolation knowing that we can come here and see familiar names and everyone is so nice. I wish you all the best.
BTW- When I shared my Birthday cake with everyone the other day..this was what my husband made me but with raspberries instead of banana...I gained a few indulging myself.
I too saw that bar on TV and I don't understand it even being open. I remember at Ft Myers beach(also Sanibel and Captiva) when they had had hurricanes coming toward it was mandatory that bars we closed very early on and not permitted to reopen till declared clear. Beaches were completely evacuated.

Is forensic psych something you would be interested in going back to school for? They finally have many online programs to make it easy, since SOOOO many people have gotten into that because of all the shows on tv about it. I got my degree at John Jay in New York 3 years ago. Back when I was studying that, there weren't too many schools offering that degree, now you can do it online!

I see gas price increases have been jumping up all around the country, I ran out here but has not gone up. You don't want to know what we are paying here, and its not self serve.
Have any of you come across now how all the school fundraisers have sites now so when kids come home with stuff to sell, all you have to do is send an email to all the out of town relatives and friends to buy all the candles, gift wrap, chocolate, magazines etc. I have gotten 4 of these in the last week. One of the ones in Fla,everything they're selling is Lone Star stuff(I don't get it either?)no more filling out a form and delivering all the stuff they charge a ton for shipping too. Sorry to gripe, but with no music, art, drama, computer programs, foreign language, no school plays or chorus what are they raising all the money for? It has really been bugging me, sorry.

spyke6666, I remember talking to a professor about it and he told me all the schools were in NY and surrounding area...I'm in Calif. and at the time they didn't have it online. I just finished with 6 year of school...I also have a culinary degree. so I don't want to even see a school book for at least a few more years. But I'm glad they offer it online now.
I am also well aware that the TV stuff is nothing like the real thing but so many sign up thinking it is...ugh!

Stacey, I'm in Alief, which is only about 10-15 miles from you! Girlfriend, the wind has only begun, and our neighbors across the street have already lost siding on their chimney. It had to already have been loose to come off so fast! They have already put the broken stuff in the garage so it doesn't become shrapnel. I've been pretty good about keeping calm, but I'm starting to feel a little bit of anxiety. So glad we have The Dish to come to when we can to ease some tension, it's my sanity right now ;-)

That really upsets me, we the taxpayers will end up paying for those Coast Guard helicopter rides and that is bull@$%&! Sorry, but they deserve to pay a fine, it doesn't have to be alot, just enough to make them leave the next time their supposed to.

Andrea: Thank you for understanding what I was trying to say. After I lost my husband, I developed Chonic Dry Eye Syndrome (which is Terrible) I am still dealing with it, just not as bad as it was. I owned/operated a womens consignment boutique for 8 years and had to close it due to my eyes...And I just needed some time for myself to grieve. It seemed as though when the 1 year came, I just couldn't get past it. When summer came, he wasn't here with me to do the things we always did together and I felt very alone. It doesn't matter how many children/grandchildren/friends that you have, it doesn't make up for the closeness of your spouse. He was my best friend, my confidant, and many other things to me. I was feeling like I didn't have anything to look forward to anymore... and then I got Showtime,,,and the internet...and then BB and these beautiful people here... This has been my therapy...and for that I will always be grateful. I feel almost like ME again...I just don't know how to explain it all, but BB and these people have made me laugh til I peed my pants, cry so much, I couldn't cry anything but sand again..(dry eye thing) yelled and screamed at the TV, and prayed the neighbors didn't hear me...and all the while I could hear my husband saying,,, That's My Girl...so,,, again,,, THANK YOU!!!!

It's 9 pm on a Friday night and I want to go to bed. How pathetic is that?

I know what you mean. I had finished my degree in legal psychology in 2000, and then I started work in that field, plus I had my own event planning company on the side. But I had always wanted to become a forensic psychologist ever since I was young, Silence of the Lambs did it for me, LOL, yep I wanted to be Jodie Foster and go work for the FBI and study serial killers. But at the time, there really weren't any good schools offering that degree, then all of a sudden in 2003, John Jay finally added it, and I couldn't help but move to New York for a couple years and get that degree. I couldn't imagine going back either after so many years of being in school already, but it really was such a passion of mine, and actually more like a hobby, that I couldn't resist.
You know what's funny though, is you're in California, they have some great programs out there for it, I almost went there instead of to New York. Berkeley and UCLA had good programs before, I'm not sure if they still do.
jluvsturtles - I am feeling the same about these people that should have evacuated. Now they are risking others lives because they didn't heed the warnings. And, the warnings were strong & to the point & they still didn't listen.
You hang in there, I am sure it is nerve wracking but just try to keep your mind off of it. I am out of the big danger zone but we are still going to get wind & rain but not like they had predicted earlier in the week.
jluvsturtles - hang in there! The hardest part IMO is going through it at night, when you can't see what is hitting the house! For some reason most hurricanes I have been through have all been in the dark.
I have everything crossed in hopes that you and everyone else will come through just fine and with minimal, in any damage. Obviously, my Ike voodoo doll didn't work.

I am having trouble keeping up not only with who is in the storm's path but also with other happy and sad events. I do not want to seem like I am ignoring anyone's birthday or commiserating on anyone's loss, but I am having trouble concentrating at night because of exhaustion.

I am glad you have given yourself the time you needed & were able to find something to make you feel better. I believe whatever it is that can help us feel better when we are dealing with a valley our life has taken a path to (as long as it's legal, (haha)) then go for it.

Genie, I know what you mean, on the not sleeping and it makes my joints and muscles ache so much it hurts to move. I feel like in my college days all night studying mixed with hangovers. My biggest problem is the less I sleep the worse my restless leg is,and the worse my restless leg is the less I sleep, not that I sleep anyways. I can't take any of the medications for it either. I had a hot tub which helped both great deal and swimming late at night(don't say anything)really helped too.
I gave the hot tub to my daughter when I moved up from Fla. Very strange story... She had it shipped up to her house in Jersey. On Sept 10, 2001. The hot tub was impounded on the Washington beltway,Sept 13th in the back of a Ryder truck. With all the security stops it turned out that one of the two guys my daughter found on Monster.com to move it was illegally in the U.S, and from a country that was being watched. They held onto the tub for weeks till they were satisfied it was on the up and up and that the driver had no idea his helpers papers were not in order. My daughter got a call in the middle of the night from the FBI asking if she was really expecting the hot tub. It was really a very strange thing, to go through at that time.
You'd think BB would get them their Sushi tonight.
Do those of you closer to my age think folks the age of Dan and Memphis know far less about cooking that they did when we were that age?
Do you think Dan might last minute tell Memphis about Michelle so it doesn't just come out in the questioning?
Hi BB Buddies -- Just jumped online for a minute to let you know we are hunkered down and Ike is starting to blow into Houston now.
We got the worst possible hit so far as location, but everyone I know was evacuated that needed to be and all are safe.
No power in Galveston at all so not sure how long we are good for, so need to get off soon to save power in case I need it later.
But, everyone in our area stay safe!! Our prayers are with all of you.
And all the rest of you, enjoy the boys and write really good comments so we can catch up tomorrow when this is all gone.

For those speculating on April and Ollie. I am assuming that April put an end to it. I recall in her interviews that she didnt seem real positive about the longevity of the relationship. She seemed to have an interest in a friendship, but not much more.
He was such a fool to be played as he was by her. I had thought at one point he opened his eyes when she was talking about the male athletes she was "friends" with. And he was insisting on her disclosing how many, who, names, etc of those she dated.
But alas, he went out of the house feeling that she would be waiting for him just as she had yearned for him in the house. And none of the interviewers stated otherwise.

It seems to me that they are letting go a little after all the stress of being on guard and playing the game 24/7 for the months they have been cooped up. It must be such a relief not to have to worry about every word being overheard over the wall by "the enemy". I can't imagine being told constantly what you can say or do especially since now the biggest part is over. They still are feeling the sense of being prisoners as well. I daresay my behavior under such circumstances might not have been as good as theirs. I can't imagine living in a fishbowl like that. I would be doing a lot more than giving BB a bit of a hard time now.

They're talking big time right now about price gouging on gas all over the country said prices over 5.00 as far as NC.absolutely disgusting to take advantage of folks especially foe water, gas etc in the affected areas. I hope they lock them up!!! They're so strict in NJ I think thats why we don't have it here.
