I don't like this! Ike is not being very nice and is tracking more and more east getting closer to Houston. We are on the nasty side of the storm, so will get bad weather regardless. YUK!!!

I haven't seen House Calls yet. so no spoilers please. I hope Gretchen was nice to her, because she has been dismissive of Keesha all season. Like she doesn't matter. :(

I have spent the day making preparations for Ike. Prays to all in the way & who are closer to it than I will be. It will be bad here but not as bad as South & East of us if it continues on the track it is on right now. But staying glued to TWC.
MeredithS - thanks for the update on your BB live show viewing. I bet it was a lot of fun! I went back & looked at the video again & I think I spotted both you & your husband.
Keesha, sweetheart, is just a good, good girl! I loved her on HC. It was great the way she handled the Jerry, April questions. Not saying much but you could tell they were not people she would like to be associated with in the real world. But, I do think she will still contact Jerry regarding the animal shelter. She is really a class act. When Gretchen said she would like to get her & April in a room together to find out why the 2 of them can't get along. I thought, why bother. They don't care for each other so quit trying to understand it. Keesha wouldn't waste her time either. Her family will be very proud of her. I admire her for continuing to always remember not to take it seriously. I know she is still angry with Memphis but she does give him the benefit of the doubt & I think with time she will understand it even more because she grasps the understanding of how the game is played. I also thought it was funny that we all thought it was a duck that Dan gave her & she said it was a cow. But, she still didn’t understand what the “hot” written on the bottom of it meant. I can’t wait to hear his explanation of what it meant.
Amber & Pat - I love that show & I almost cried when Belle left. But, I do adore Presley. He & his owner are so cute together. That is his first dog & I think he has done a great job with him. Pat - I understand the heartbreak & still feeling the void after so many years have passed, believe me!
I also like the little white dog, Andrew. He is so crazy about his owner & the time he stayed in that circle when the elephant was coming toward him was amazing.
Go Memphis! I think I'm your only fan left. Its sad. But I'M ROOTING FOR YOU! Even if no one else is...

OK Folks... I got too complacent with Ike. Not expected to be a direct or close hit so I am still praying for the people of Texas and Northern Mexico but....
We are now in a Tropical Storm Warning... and a Coastal Flood Warning. Of course that means wind, rain and who knows what else besides the extra high tides which mostly affect the coastal parishes, but it also affects Lake Poncartrain which New Orleans is right on and too our north. All the locals give directions by turning toward the river or the lake.
I'm not going to panic, but that sucker is turning more north than the reported NW as I look at the last few hours of tracking the eye.
Just had to share. Panic time again, but not as much panic as Carolyn had to go through.

Caroyln and her crew I just want to say that I have been a steady visiter for almost 2 1/2 seasons now. I love it and all your work, it really makes the show just that much better! I have always been a huge fan of the show from the begining, an finally go the feeds in the winter season after viewing your site 30 times a day during the last half of season 8. Don't worry, I have a laid back job so I always have your site minmized with my half hour checks all day long! Moving right along....
I hate to be evil, but I really hope that Jerry somehow pulls this off today. I just think that Memphis should sweat a little. I know its a game, and I understand their reasoning for getting rid of our lovely Keesha. And the only reason I wish this is because I know Dan can pull off round three, especially if they ask Jury Member questions like the last few seasons. So that Memphis and Dan still go to the finals. Anyone agree?
Oh I'm all about the pranks.
toilet paper the inside of the house. (I did that to someone's apartment once. It was great.)
Steal all of the pillowcases. (Did that too)
Saran wrap the toilets or the doorways. (Someone's dog pooped the carpet when we did that to the front door.)
You know the giant inflatable yard ornaments? Set those up in a room with a door that closes. The person opens the door and "HOLY SHIT!" happens. (I have pictures of that online somewhere.)
Rig up a self inflating life boat with a rip cord in the water closet. Fix it so that when the door opens, the raft automatically inflates. Better yet, set it up in the fridge! Can you imagine Jerry opeing the fridge and a raft shoots out at him?????
Put those exploding snakes in things. Peanut? No, it's a snake!!!
Fill a room with packing peanuts.
Cover the doorknobs with cooking oil so that when you try to turn it, your hand just slips right off. Great way to "lock" someone in a room.
Wouldn't it be great if someone got stuck in that little area between the garage door and the sliding glass door??? You could see them shout and hit on the wall. That would make me laugh. A lot.
While someone is showering, dump a 5lb bag of flour on them. Or set off fireworks while they shower. You know, those that go off real fast, blackcats or something like that?v

These are the reasons I live inland and she lives on the third floor of her complex.

cris, when you play the live feeds, at the top right of the screen playing the live feeds are the words "watch 24/7 feed replay." click on those words and you will recieve the replay. You have to be playing the live feeds to see that link. The link is not on the media browser, only on the live feed screen.

I'm gonna go back to making dinner....tonights menu is meatloaf/whipped spuds with a french onion taste/mashed colarabi with a little butter and pepper and corn on the cob.

It's been sooooo long since a hurricane hit the TX coast like this I was young & didn't have to worry about preps & earlier today I felt panicked cuz I couldn't think of what I needed to do. I am 125 miles inland from Corpus Christi where they are predicting it to hit but they are telling us to prepare for very high winds & of course, rain. I am sure we will lose electricity.

My husband is the one that does all the cooking which is fine with me. He so loves to do it. He even bakes-like last night the brownies and choc. chip cookies. Which I end up bringing into work because I do not want to be tempted with them in my face all the time.
Its great to come home from work with dinner ready within 10 minutes.

I wonder how bad the boys are going to get if Memphis wins this one. I don't think Dan will get to mean, but it could get interesting for us to watch if there is another blow up between Memphis and Jerry. At least for Jerry's sake, he will only have to deal with the attitude for one day.

I highly recommend watching season 2 if possible. The house has changed dramatically. The lack of a budget is so clear.

RedRhonda, we are doing my friends wedding on the 20th in Oakland, shes getting a fake wedding cake display with a mini real one for the bride/groom picture and then we're serving a plated dessert. A lot of people don't want traditional anymore.

So I think the funniest thing that could happen now is they tell Jeery, Memphis & Dan that the twist this season is that if Keesha didn't make it to the final 2 then there is no $500k prize OR $50k- they just get the stipend and the show is over.

Ok- I know it's not going to happen, but I am so mad about them voting out Keesha that I don't give a hoot right now.

Amber, that is what my daughter said her friends are doing. She wants to have her wedding in a vineyard, actually her Mother-in-law to be grew up near Mondavi vineyards and that is likely where it will be. We'll see,
Mom(me) is getting impatient!! They have been together almost 7 yrs. But they are both in graduate school right now, so we are waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting!! LOL And in the meantime, I got a grand-dog!

It is moving more and more east and at this rate will be Houston or slightly to the west of Houston (where I am!). Most of my family lives in Seabrook are which is right on the coast, so I am the safe house since I'm more inland.

Carolyn, I want to thank you for your thoughts and concerns for dish fans in South Texas and Gulf Coast regions as we wait with bated breath for the coming onslaught of Hurricane Ike.
I live in a coastal border (w/Mexico) county in a region of Texas called the Rio Grande Valley. Last month Hurricane Dolly hit us dead on. Luckly no lives were lost. We are dreading Ike. It seems as though its going to make landfall north along the coastal bend near Corpus Christi, Texas missing us by several miles thought not by much at that.
Our prays and hopes go out to those areas near Corpus Christi in the path of Ike.
Again, thank you Carolyn for your care and insistance that we heed mother nature. Feeling lots of love for you!!
Everyone that's freaking out about how long it's taking, RELAX! LOL! This part is usually a timed comp that they each go out and do separtely, i'm sure memphis did his quick, but jerry is probably taking FOREVER to do it!
Ry, are your bad Paypal experiences Ebay related? or another site? I have used it for years, and have found a few bad vendors in Ebay and other places using Paypal but it was never Paypals fault. But thats just me. have used it for Carolyn on more than one occasion and it couldn't be easier or safer. I did come across a Paypal clone once but of course here it is the real thing.
My brother has a large antique business and uses Paypal almost exclusively for ebay and other auction sites, as long as you are cautious its fine. I use Paypal for all sorts of stuff.
thezanyone, The judges said if the showpiece was a few inched bigger then we would have won...just remember most of the points for that comp were on taste from the dessert....we'll get'em this next year!!

Do a GOOGLE search for Big Brother ? Episode 1 and you will find it being sold on Ebay or Craigslist.
It is hard to find new copies of the DVD's.

I'm set, my sister is good. We grew up in Houston, our daddy was from Florida, so hurricanes are nothing new to us. They are so much like Texas weather, keep watching and it'll change. They're unpredicable in many ways, but once one gets a brewing it usually won't stop till it hits land and then some.
