After the Comp
After the shortest endurance comp ever... One which I can only liken to premature ejaculation... We rejoin our houseguests in their drama on the live feeds.
A couple things seem sure: Brendon and Rachel will be going on the block. Rachel, however, has a $5,000 bargaining chip. Will Matt be enticed? Will Ragan, as the new saboteur, have an effect on the week? What will happen with the Pandora's Box situation?
And when do Jeff & Jordan arrive into the house?????

Rachel's upset. Brendon's trying to get through to her. But she isn't wanting to talk... Not in a mean way, just upset.
Rachel: I don't think we're going anywhere, but I know exactly what's going on. We're gonna get thrown under the bus.
Brendon: By who?
Rachel: By everyone.
Brendon: We've been in this spot before. We made it out last time. We'll make it out again.
Rachel: Kristen and Hayden couldn't do it.
Brendon: Kristen and Hayden aren't us.
Brendon leaves the room, and Rachel regroups... or something...

Brendon: I wont let him put you up.
Rachel: He's going to, and then you'll have to win the PoV.
Brendon: We will not accept defeat in this game. I fell like I've let you down twice for HoH.. OK.. They can do whatever they want... I'm still playing no matter what. And if that means going up there and pretending nothing bothers us, then that's what we do. I have you and you have me. I'm sorry about today. I knew as soon as I saw the challenge.. It was the same as the other one.. 6 inches for my feet... We're both strong survivors.

They move on to mocking Rachel and Kathy's fake sportsmanship during the comp. Talk turns to sleeping arrangements, and then Rachel enters.
Ragan: Julie Chen is never gonna talk to me again.
Rachel: Why?
Ragan: Because I said the thing about the farts.
Hayden enters. They all compliment his speech.
Ragan: I got weepy when Kristen walked out...
Britney: I totally cried when Monet left.
Ragan did make arrangements for Kristen to stay at his place in West Hollywood...

IDK which of those two I dislike more: Brendon is a huge, whiny baby, and Rachel is just... yikes. Either way, they're both being poor sports, IMO. Brendon needing Rachel to give him her blessing that he did his best is almost as bad as Rachel being incapable of giving it to him.
I loved Rachel to Hayden: "Are you happy you're still here?" Hayden was smart to keep his mouth shut, as someone else noted. He was going to stay either way, and they both know it.
Okay, I'll admit it: Rachel is acting a lot better now. Was probably just feeling overwhelming fear and disappointment, which is understandable. I still think she's evil ;)

Also, I wish Rachel could have played this week. Say what you want about that girl (and I'm referring to myself right now), she IS a fierce competitor, and it would have actually been an endurance comp had she been involved...
Matt HAS to put Brenchel up together. They can't take the chance that Brendon will play, win it, be safe, and pull Rachel off. They both have to be up together. It's the only way to make sure one of them goes home. I'm hoping that the Brigade drills that into Matt's head this week.

I'd love to tell my side of what I think of Rachael vs Brendon, but I'd break Rule #5 all to hell and back. I'll just say I don't think Rachael frequents the bars and casinos on the Vegas Strip. From things I've heard her say and the way she acts, I suspect she is somewhere off the main area and everyone can take that how they will. Everyone surely knows what I mean.

I'm usually a lurker around the comment section, but tonight I just had to post!! I cannot believe how short that comp was. Boo. But I am very curious to see how Matt handles this one. I'm also very curious to see how Queen Brenchel handle themselves now that they have barely any bargaining power. In my dream world, Hayden will win POV and they will have to grovel!!

piper-no I don't think she's bipolar. I think Rachel is just a drama queen who loves being the center of attention and on tv. I bet she purposely exaggerates everything for tv. She really seems fake to me.

Watching Brendon for a month has been an endurance comp for me.
Maybe production is so upset that they're gonna make everyone do another endurance comp and punish them all!!!! ....wishful thinking, I know :(

Piper, I've actually thought Rachel might be bipolar or BPD**, but I don't think it's fair to guess or assume these things. This experience brings out the extreme in everyone, and Rachel is extreme to begin with, you know?
**I say this as someone who suffers from it myself (though I'd rather not say which), so I am in no way judging, AT ALL. It's just easier to see the behavior in others when you experience it first-hand yourself.

These guys really need to quit looking at women as the weaker sex. If Rachel got evicted, I think the possibility of Brendon losing his will to fight is more likely than the other way around.
Oh my, that was the worst comp ever....I think Matt should have at least offered to drop for Ragan...afterall, Ragan did it for him...Boy I hope all the comps aren't like these...we want suspense not 53 minutes of nothing....We want wind, rain, snow, hail, spinning...whatever!!

We are on the same page of our dislike for Rachael. I can't go to that page when it comes to Brendon, and for once it isn't just because he's Mighty Fine eye candy, even though he does have the best body in the house of ALL.
Where I differ with almost everyone here, especially our fine women who comment, is that I still don't see Brendon as controlling. I see it as just the opposite. Perfect example of that just occurred with her pushing Brendon away while he was trying to comfort her. He failed her and she is all but ready to wash her hands of him. Had the roles been reversed and she were in the competition and came off early, she would be all about wanting Brendon to comfort her, and she would have gotten a even bigger attitude if he had said those same words to her. (Leave me alone right now.)
That isn't the exact quote but that was the gist of it from what I heard. Rachael? Her way or the highway. Obviously from my previous posts I try, but I just can't muster anything good about her.

Grendon, I could not agree more. The Brigade consistently underestimating Rachel's strength and capabilities is going to be the nail in their coffins, IMO.

GaYToR, I TOTALLY agree! I don't see Brendon as controlling whatsoever (not wanting Rachel to drink, run her mouth too much and blow their game isn't controlling IMO)- I see it the opposite, too. Rachel is the controlling one, and she definitely wears the pants in the relationship, IMO.
Rachel could pull the whole "Matt, this 5000 could really help your wife... its a lot of money... there is no gaurantee of you winning this show but there is a guarantee of me giving you 5000 towards her health if you keep us another week." If he DIDN'T take that offer, the house would either hate him for being heartless or know he was lying... I wonder if Rachel remembers back far enough to remember the medical condition

Stephen, I have to disagree with you. I don't think they'd hate him at all if he didn't accept the offer... actually, I'm pretty sure they'd hate him if he DID accept it. I think you might be underestimating how much everyone else in the house dislikes Rachel and want to see her on the block/home.
The only thing better than seeing Kristen in black and white would be seeing her wearing the unitard in wig in black and white... talk about salt on the wound!

I know this endurance comp (and I use that phrase with a hint of sarcasm) has been talked about longer than it lasted, yet I find myself pondering one important question.
We were subjected to Brendon's analysis of all the other HGs in regards to their athletic ability. We know that the comp was geared towards small people. But we also know that Lane can't beat Brendon because he's too big. But didn't Lane last longer than Brendon? So now I am left confused. Where did it all go wrong for Brendon? Maybe he should rethink his breakfast choices.
Anyone else feel bad for AGP in that they spent so long to create a Comp that every HG stopped caring about 20 minutes into the Comp once Brendon fell? All I have to say is once the Brigade Alliance is out, HOPEFULLY the other HG's wake up and start gunning for some people!
Ah GaYToR, I must've misread ure posts. I thought u liked Rachel, my mistake. I think the whole "they'll play better once the other leaves" could work for both. I don't think Brendon is controlling any which way. If anything, his emotions are tied very much so into how Rachel treats him, almost like a little puppy who doesn't get enough love from his/her master. (Get ure mind out the gutter...lol) I do hope that Brendon can get a chance to play for himself, since Rachel is obviously a million times of a greater threat in this game than him.
I will DEFINITELY agree with you on the fact that he has a beautiful body, but I must say I like Lane's body more. Maybe his funny personality comes into play, but me likey! :)

Totally agree. Brendon is def. not in any position to be controlling ~ well...not game play anyway. All Rachel has to do is pout or show signs of being upset with him and he's all over doing whatever she wants.

Ella, if he said the whole reason he was in the game was to help her and he didn't take a sure money, I am not saying they would hate him, only saying its possible. What I think is more likely is that they will begin to question if he told the truth.
Everyone says this game is not personal, but when its your wife's life you are supposedly playing for, people would find it odd that you didn't take something that was sure bet to help her... no matter how bad they want other people out. Also Matt is smart enough to know that if he didn't take it, it might look weird. Even if people didn't suspect if he took it, I think he would just to be sure he wasn't exposed. It was a big lie he told and it wouldn't go over with the house, especially Kathy, being a cancer survivor herself!

I for one have never thought Brendon was controlling. He tries to control but all she has to do is pout, roll her eyes, give him the evil eye & he rolls over quivering. I did mention he was hovering over her tonight & I personally cannot stand when someone hovers when I need a moment to collect my thoughts & I observed him doing that to her when she was in the bedroom. He eventually left her alone for a few min which I thought was smart cuz if he hadn't I think she was thinking of bopping him in the nose.
