Big Brother 13: The 1st Overnight Report of the BB13 Season
Good morning, Big Brother Lovers! Happy Friday!

What a first night on the live feeds!!
Dick was missing in action all night, Daniele has the Golden Key, and Porsche & Keith are the Nominees. Further, the HGs have been told they'll be on lockdown all day Friday. Big Build PoV Comp Saturday?
And...
Dick. is. gone.
Those are not words I ever expected to write in the first Overnight Report of the Big Brother 13 season.
Talk about expect the unexpected. Dick's whereabouts were the talk of the house all night. Around 4:25am BBT after Daniele was finally called to the DR and an extended bout of those beautiful fishies, I heard and tweeted the following:
Just a few minutes later, it seems that Dani, along with the remaining returning duos have formed an alliance, and they're calling it the "Dream Crusher Alliance," or "DCA."
Dick's departure is a mystery to the house guests. All they know is he's gone. Adam is concerned about Dick's health, as he has been all night.
***Personally, I can't help but wonder if Dick fell on his sword early and intentionally for Daniele. The ultimate daddy move. He exits, she gets the Golden Key.... 4 weeks of immunity.
Rumors as to the why are flying around the internet. Some believe Dick was asked to leave because of a video that he recorded before entering the house, designed to promote his site, RTVZone, and released after the premiere...
Personally, I can't imagine production asking Dick to leave over anything short of setting the house on fire. He's just too good for BB, ratings, etc. Period.

I'm hopeful the BB loving world will hear from Dick on twitter or facebook sooner than later.
5:25am BBT - Feeds 1/2 - Keith had a blow up that we're hearing about from other HGs... They say that Shelly is furious with him. The DCA -JeJo, Brenchel, DaniD are talking in HoH about Keith, Game, etc... From this conversation, it seems Keith's blow-up was regarding the fairness of the game. It seems he feels that production stacked the odds in favor of the Alumni.
***Not for nothin', but experience in the game did that, Keith.
5:55am BBT - Feeds 1/2 - Jeff & Jordan have just left the HoH pow-wow. Dani remains, talking to Brendon and Rachel. Daniele knows that no matter what their relationship, Dick "would *never* do anything to screw her in this game... at least not this early in the game." She also knows that he would never just leave on a whim. Dick loves this game.
It's only the 1st day of live feeds. In an ordinary season, we'd be all about getting to know the HGs.. learning their voices.. This is no ordinary season.
At 6:15am, things are starting to wind down in the BB13 house...
6:19 am F3/4 Dominic, Cassi, Daniele are chatting in the bathroom and Keith's explosion comes up. Dominic tells Dani that he just went off on so many people, accusing them. Dom says Keith is just plain losing it. Adam enters and shares a nasty toot with those assembled. Fart chatter ensues... friendly chatter.. and after a few minutes, Adam leaves to go to sleep.
6:30 F3/4 Dominic, Cassi and Dani. Talk turns briefly to Rachel and the rest of the returning HGs. Just after being informed of Dick's departure, Rachel was questioning staying, questioning her choice in returning. Talk turns to relationships in the house and how none of the new HGs know anyone well enough to even begin to trust...
**I'm feeling the possibility an alliance between Cassi and Dani at some point. It's so early to say anything, but there's just a nice, easy communication there. I'm noticing that ease between Cassi and just about everyone... The one to watch??
7:05am - The last of the sleep stragglers, Cassi, finally heads to bed, joining the other have nots in their brightly lit padded room with mattresses on the floor. Unlike the rest in that room, Cassi was clever enough to bring eye coverings into the BB house...
Sleep little HGs, don't you cry, BB's gonna sing you a lullaby...This concludes the Overnight Report... truly an Overnight Lite. See you in the comment section. We'll have a new top post titled "The Morning Report" when the HGs wake up on their own... or by force! ;)

Good Morning!! So much dramaz already! I hope nothing is going on w/Dick's health. I can see him telling BB not to tell Dani so she would stay in the game.
I tried so hard to stay awake for when they came back from fishes but I drifted off and and woke up to trivia so I just went to bed.
Looks like they are just going to bed so we probably have several quiet hours ahead of us. Seems like in the past if something major goes down at night BB doesn't make them get up early unless there is a comp waiting.
Wonder how this will effect the game. Maybe no double eviction this season?
I'm very sad about ED, but that's just part of the game, I guess. I'm just hoping that there is a chance he can come back, like with Nat and Amanda in BB9.
But in addition, maybe they will bring that Jason guy onto the show, the one who was in the cast, and then wasn't??
Now, Dani has to sit out for 4 weeks and watch the game go by her cause she has the golden key. :(

Certainly not what I wanted to wake up to this morning. ED was my favorite from premier night of his season..pretty devastating for BB fans if he is gone. Of course, hopefully everything is okay with him health wise.

Good Morning Carolyn! Sorry, I never got the chance to come back and comment like I wanted to last night. Anyways, I just saw on another BB site that ED had a previous engagement that production must of known about and let him out to attend. If that is true, then that might explain what happened. I guess we shall soon see. Have a great day everyone! I have the day off from work and I will check back in periodically through out the day as I have things I need to do.
So...random thoughts on this season...Rachel is back to annoy everyone with her voice/laugh - shocker there, LOVE seeing Jeff/Jordan and Dick/Daniele on screen again, however what the heck happened to ED last night?! It will be interesting to see how the new "rules" affect the game/nominations. Did they explain how the veto will work & I missed it? Will the veto winner save both themselves & their partner? If they can navigate their way through the old favs, I am liking Shelly/Cassi pairing. Thats all for now ;) looking forward to another season with ya'll!
Um, I was loving when Dani & Rachel were talking about Adam and how annoying he was. Probably around midnight BBT. Dani was so annoyed how he kept giving her advice on her gameplay from her season. LOL. They kept cracking on him. He's already put a big target on his back. Porche, too.

I have a question! How come Dani has the golden key if Keith and Porsche are nominated? Did ED and Dani get nominated, resulting in ED getting evicted and Dani getting the golden key? Already?? Did I miss something about a double eviction already?!
or am I completely wrong about how one gets the golden key? I thought a pair went up and one got evicted, one got the golden key. Maybe ED and Dani got nominated and ED said to hell with campaigning against Dani for the golden key, and gave her the golden key and left, so now Rachel was forced to nominate two others?

After watching the feeds for a ridiculous amount of time I came away very impressed with Dominic (who also rocked his DR sessions on the premiere). He's a smart and savvy player. All the newbies seem to be following his lead when he's been spearheading their conversations about who to target without being condescending or controlling.
He's also made a final two pact with Cassi.
The only foil to his big plans is Dani, imo. She's been smart to have some good in-depth conversations with both Dom and Cassi but I wouldn't be surprised if she went to her DCA HGs and told them to take him out ASAP.
Of course if I were Dani I would play with both Dom and Cassi and the DCA.
I have no idea what Dani is thinking of doing, so that makes these next few days very interesting!
Right now Dom and Dani are my favs to win the game.

-Noms remain the same.
-POV comp to continue, as will POV ceremony....so Rachel's HoH is not affected.
-Double elim probably won't happen, according to Dani.
What I don't understand is why was Rachel wanting to leave the game?
So if I'm correct, this year we have 3 downstairs bedrooms (the book room, the room with the funky/jazzy beds, and the Katy Perry room), and 1 have not room. Normally isn't it just 2 bedrooms and 1 have not room? Can anyone remember?
so, from my understanding, Dick is gone (no one knows why) so it basically is like an elimination. Dick got eliminated and Dani got the golden key. (sorry, but I am THRILLED that Dick is gone, maybe I'll actually LIKE Dani now that her misogynist Dad is out of the picture). Here's to hoping he DOESN'T come back.
BUT, How is Porche and Keith up for elimination? They must be going on as normal... basically we JUMPED a week ahead in this game. Am I right?

Shocked doesn't begin to say how I feel. No way Dick would just leave, no way. This is going to change the game big time. It's just bizarre.

Last night, I was praying and praying ED and Dani would be on. First it was Brendan and Rachel (and I was like oh noooo), then my favs J & J..I knew there were 12 seats and thought it was done then here some ED! I literally jumped up and down, my baby was asleep and my hubby was like shhhhh!!! NOW to hear he's GONE already. NOOO! I hope it's a fluke! That ruins it for me, like him being back was too good to be true :(

Well last night was my first night watching the live feeds ever, gonna take a few days getting used to following multiple conversations in the quad cam lol.
At first I was wondering where Dick was as were many of the HGs. I completely missed Keith's explosion, feel asleep. Woke up when the feeds came back and was shocked to hear Dick was gone.
I'm rooting for the DCA, Dani in particular but if I had to choose a newbie it would be either Dominic or Cassi. THe other new HGs haven't left that much of an impression on me yet.
Let's see what today brings!
My theory is Dick was never intended to remain in the house. BB brought him in for the premier, but the whole plan was for him to leave. Not since season 9 have they had 14 houseguests. I think BB likes 13 to fit the length of a season, and ED was a quick bang for the buck before letting him go and keep his daughter in the game with less of a target on her back.
Now, I'm sure there will be an excuse given Sunday or Tuesday as to why he's gone, but I bet my money on it being planned from the get-go. That's probably why he also made the video for his website, either as an excuse or because he knew he'd be out shortly to promote it more.

Congrats Caro on the weight loss! I am almost in agreement with Adam about ED. I thought he looked a little swollen last night and on more than one occasion I said I thought he was sick... Wow, 30 minutes into the show we had a thunderstorm that knocked out the power, cable/internet. I missed alot!
I am sad that Dick is gone. I just hope all is well with his health and that nothing is wrong with his girlfriend. He has bashed CBS and Real so much I can't imagine he would get kicked out over a video. (which I have not watched yet)
Anyhoo, here's hoping for a great season.
Goood Morningg all... As I was attempting to post last night First Impression-I dont like Adam or Keith. The rest are all on ever par. Now with the changes my hopes are improved- Daniele to win!!!! She is an awesome player and deserves it. And love her or hate her, Rachel fits the same way. She deserves to win.
With the twists, a thought has come to mind that there may be more strategy as a result of the twists. If Brenchel is nomed, Brendon would bow out to allow Rachel to stay in the game. Same way with JeJo, Jordan would bow out to allow Jeff to remain. So in my thought process Dani, Rachel, Jeff are all good till the final 10 at least. I favor the DCA, and their thought of taking out one of the noobs each of the first four weeks. It will be interesting to see if CBS has the 4 Golden Key holders to pair off into 2 duos after the 4 weeks.
With ED gone, I feel it is much more likely to see the DD's able to continue on with their DCA.
If you do a chat room again what room do we look for? BBDISH?

Re: Dick falling on his sword. Maybe, but would production let him do that? I guess that would explain why it took 7 hours? They had to figure out he was serious? But I don't know...at any rate, I'd rather that scenario than he or someone he is close to being seriously ill or harmed or troubled enough that it would cause him to have to leave. So yeah, hoping he fell on his sword for Dani, too.
I had trivia while I was sleeping & when I woke up on my feeds (yeah I left my feeds on while I slept since it was only gonna be 2 + 1/2 hours). I got up at 2:30am BBT. Sounds like I missed all the good stuff.

Some interesting theories you guys are throwing out but if they had a pre-planned departure for him that is really cheating imo, giving Dani a Golden Key.
I do not see Dick falling on the sword for Dani. Four weeks is good and all but there's a lot of game after that.

Didn't like that BB locked them inside on night one. I thought the feeds were a bit boring last night. Jeff and Brendon were the only ones who did anything fun. Sadly most of it happened before the feeds came on.
I like Cassi, of course love Jeff and Jordo, Jeff for the win, and maybe Jeff will make Brendon interesting.

I have to wonder if there is some twist that we do not know about yet.
Also when Dani came out of the DR if ED was really gone, would they not of asked her to get his stuff together they all said it was still there..
I can't see Dick falling on his sword out of nowhere. If they were nominated, then yes, I definitely think that's what he would do... But if they were in fact nominated by Rachel, and then Dick left because of it, I don't see Dani being buddy buddy with or forming an alliance with Rachel right after. I'm pretty sure there would be a lot of tension between them just for nomination alone.
So I guess it doesn't really make sense for my them to have been nominated in the first place. So He must have left on his own and I can't see him giving up that quick. Especially after saying he was there to win twice.
Given the fact that Dani got the golden key, however, makes it real to me. I doubt BB would go as far as to giving her the golden key if they were playing a game, planning a twist, or bringing him back. That'd be too unfair and God knows the other HGs (especially Rachel) would jump all over that.
Guess all we can do is wait.

according to the same convo on bathroom couch between Dani, Dom and Cassi (sorry, don't have the time of that convo, but about an hour to an hour and a half ago maybe?): there will still be an eviction this week and the survivor will get another golden key.
SC- Any clips with ED could have been taped over the first week of them in the house. It's basically live, so they wouldn't have any clips past what happened last night.
Divr- I like your way of thinking. Although I think the duos will be split up after the 4 golden weeks, I would like to see Dani, Jeff and Rachel duke it out in the end. I too am in favor of the oldies versus newbies......so far. Give me a full day of the feeds and I bet I'll change my mind. :)

Ok I watched the video and Dick has been promoting this for a couple of months now. CBS already knew about it. And from the way Janelle talked yesterday she knew who was going in because the past houseguests do talk to each other.

Hi Lorsby :) It's alllll speculation at this point. However, the nominations stand and they are going ahead with the POV comp tomorrow. It's been a couple seasons since they brought back a player by popular vote though, so that's certainly an option to throw into the mix, especially now that the numbers were unexpectedly diminished.

Ilissa, I agree with you...don't see Dick throwing in the towel just yet....as far as I can tell they were not nominated and IF he was going to fall on his sword it wouldn't happen until after POV and there was no other way to save Dani...but again, I prefer the 'falling on his sword' theory to the alternative possibiities, especially since I don't think this is another twist.
just reading the comments section i dont think that he would do that for danni he loves the game to mucha nd she needs him in this place more than anything i think it has to do with the video also they were safe this week with rachel as hoh so him to fall on the sword is too early this happened last night when the video went viral i am positive it is because of the video

Hey, read in the comments that in the previews, they saw Dick in the house ... well, he was there for almost a week so maybe that is what is in the previews.
Make sense that ED would leave and let Dani get the key. A fathers love no matter who the father is, doesn't explain much but, maybe that is why he left. So she would have a chance. He knew if he stayed in the house, it would be to win, not second place but to win.

Wow. I am in shock that Dick is gone. I honestly don't think it was because of the video. Like Carolyn said in her post he gives Big Brother a lot of good ratings. Remember in Season 8 when he and his son had worked out that code and everyone was mad about it. CBS could have kicked him out then but they did not. I honestly think its some kind of twist (maybe i'm paranoid like the houseguests) Julie said there would be another twist revealed. And reading some of the other recaps Production refuses to tell Dani where he is. When the chima incident in season 11 happened they all knew she was removed. I'm sure if that was the case this time they would tell the houseguests. And I'm sure the eviction would not still be happening. It's going to be one interesting season.

I haven't read through all the comments so I'm not sure if this has been brought up or not. I watched "Rumor Control" with Reagan and Dani last week. I'm not sure which episode it is but all caller asked Dani if she would be going back into the house with her Dad. Dani simply replied "ask my Dad!" At the time this made me think that maybe he was going to hold the duo back. Maybe this was his plan all along? Even so, it makes me sad. BB8 was the first season I watched. I feel emotionally attached to D&D for that reason! LOL
It seems as though Dani is attaching to the new HGs well (from the interaction I saw on the feeds last night). If this remains to be so, she will go far in the summer and I hope she makes it and wins.

I totally agree with thatdudeswife about being sad about ED being gone. I was so excited to see what he would do this season. He will be missed. But, looking forward to a new day on the feeds!
I'm so incredibly disappointed. Dick is one of my favorites and he's already gone before I got to enjoy one night of having him on the feeds or BBAD. Yet, I have to see Rachel for another season which is about the worst thing that happened since I saw Jesse walk through the door for a second time.
And yes, I know I am nitpicking here, but once again Rachel forgot to pack pants. That dress she was wearing was so short it either had to be a shirt or she's been shopping in the children's section again.

I just re-watched last night's episode and noticed something I didn't see last night. I'm not saying this is/would be the reason for Dick "disappearing" but it looked like during the HOH competition that he, or the banana itself, ripped where you would grab it with both arms. Seemed like he was holding on with 1 arm at the end, which I don't think would be possible otherwise from the middle of the banana.

I'm actually kind of rooting for the BB veterans over the newbies now that Dick is gone (hated him). I thought I'd be the opposite. Jeff deserves a win this season :)
Does anyone know how the POV will work? If someone from the nominated pair wins they take BOTH themselves off and then a new pair will be nominated? That's what I'm guessing... instead of just one person coming off.

I know the POV and nomination will go as planned... but with only ONE pair up for nomination, I was wondering how it worked if whoever gets the POV actually uses it. They would have to take BOTH people in the pair off the block, correct? Instead of just one person.
For example: If Porche wins the POV, she would take BOTH her and Keith off the block and Rachel would have to nominate a different PAIR... instead of just PORCHE taking herself off and Keith staying on the block and Rachel replaces only ONE nominee... correct?

I was looking forward to his Dick At Nite show. STINK!!! I wasn't that keen on him his first season but I knew this season would be great with him.

I really hope his health and his loved ones at home are all ok. I'm (as well as my mom) are LONGTIME Dishfans/readers. this will be post number TWO to be honest i don't post that much here i (as well as my mom) just read what Genie and Carolyn, Gaytor (if i spelled that wrong i'm SOOO sorry Genie and crew) We LOVE YOU all! We've been fans since season 1 of Big Brother.
I was SOOO happy Dick came back! I LOVED him (as well as Jeff/Jordan and Chilltown!)
here's my take on this and some evidence to back it up:
1. Julie said, at the end of the show, that there's another twist coming.
Then Dick is GONE later that night? I think he got called to DR 7:00 eastern time (i'm from Jersey) so that's..4:00 p.m BBT? If i'm wrong about that time please correct me.
Maybe he's part of this twist?
2. As other's have said Dick's picture has NOT been blacked out. It's still normal. Also his KEY is still on/in the memory wall.
That usually means they are still in the game.
3. They have been on lockdown since the feeds started. Now i didn't stay up for the start of the feeds BUT i watch (or TIVO) BB afterdark and that was at 1 a.m.
Is there a connection between the Lockdown AND Dick's departure? The obvious connection is that POV is being set up but i can't help but wonder if there's a connection to Dick's departure.
4. Little BB History for you all: When the Chima incident happened (BB 11 Jeff/Jordan's season) Allison Grodner called Chima to the DR and she was in there FOREVER! Then Allison Grodner called ALL the houseguests to the living room and explained what happend to Chima. That was when they had to redo HOH and Michelle won
Now with this season Dick was gone for about 9 hours (at the time BB after dark was over) I think by then (or even now) Allison Grodner would have called all the houseguests in the living room and explained what happend. They told Dani that Dick is ok and NOTHING else (if i'm not mistaken)
5. Another BB history: During Big Brother 9 (Til' Death Do You Part) Neil had to voluntarily leave for whatever reason (i can't remember if Julie asked him to leave because he was bashing her or it was a family emergency) They BLACKED out his picture when he left THEN told Joshua and gave him a new partner.
Now with this season with Dick (IF he voluntarily left for person reasons) in my opinion they would have blacked out his picture, TOLD Dani what happend. This would back the fact that she has one of the golden keys.
I don't know to me it sounds like a twist. The video doesn't seem to be the reason.
But this is just my opinion and i thought i put my 2 cents in! LOL
