I've been waiting on your post all morning. *hugs* Lots of thought and love going your way, today.
I appreciate the honor you show every year on this day. Take your time, and take care. Love, Angela.
Thank you for the tribute, Carolyn.
Good Morning Carolyn,
Hope you have a wonderful day!
Thank you for this tribute, Carolyn.
Thank you Carolyn!!
FDNY, NYPD, and NY/NJ PA are in my thoughts and prayers today, as well as the families off all the innocent people who remained trapped inside...
As a firefighter and EMT, I pause today to remember my 343 Brothers who ran in when everyone else was running out. They are my heroes.
Rest Easy, Brothers, You've answered your final alarm...
Where were you when the world stopped turning?
A simple line in a country song that has I have always remembered regarding 9/11.
Thank you for the tribute Carolyn.
Lovely Carolyn, you give a beautiful tribute and I thank you!
David Lockner: Beautifully said, Brother. As an EMT at a volly FD here in PA, I appreciate your sentiments and echo them 100%!
I can tell that none of you awesome Dishy peeps will ever forget. God Bless the USA!
Good morning Carolyn
I'm late this morning. I knew there was no TOR but I still wanted to say hello to my friends. I guess the timing for the BB schedule worked out well. I think this is a perfect day to have a feed break.
Thanks for taking the time to help us all not forget Carolyn !!!!!
I remember that morning like it was yesterday.
My thoughts and prayers with everyone today that was involved and lost loves ones.
We all need to reflect on just how precious time really is in his in this crazy world we live in and never take a second for granted ever.
Be kind to everyone you see and met today
May God bless and touch all those who have been affected by this tragic day. <3. Thanks Carolyn for your remembrance!!!
Good Morning and have a Beautiful Day of Remembering. I am reposting the below from last night for the poem.
Having little to watch as the withdrawal sets in. Not liking the leaks that have come out from taped show. :-( McCrae better win Veto.
Spent time watching beautiful 9/11 Tributes on You Tube. Then I saw this tweet from my favorite BB9 Houseguest and it all brings it back to reality. May they all R.I.P. And NO... I will NEVER FORGET!

Fitting for the day and for the previous conversations this week about losing a parent. I lost my mom two decades ago, she was only 46. A teacher handed me this poem and it has ever since brought me comfort.
A Parable of Immortality
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, 'There she goes!'
Gone where? Gone from my sight ... that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, 'There she goes!' there are other eyes watching her coming and their voices ready to take up the glad shouts 'Here she comes!

Very sad day not only because of 9/11 but my husband has boarded a flight to take him back to the sand box for another long year :-( God Bless America
Thank you for your post. I re-read an old article about 9/11 that touched my heart. In it, the author talked about how he had been one of the "priveleged" who worked in an office in the Twin Towers and the "lesser" people became police and firemen.
After 9/11 he had to confess to himself his snobbery and was able to humbly and with infinite gratitude honor those who climbed the stairs there, never to return.
I, too, had my feelings about rescue and emergency responders forever changed that day.
I will never forget, in the same way that my parents insisted we honor veterans of WWII, to instill in my grandchildren a sense of what came before and the multitudes who gave their lives so we can be free.
Thanks Carolyn. It seems that 9/11 sadly is this generation Pearl Harbor. David Lochner and brnidgrl thank you for your selfless service.
IDPINK thank you to your husband, you and your family for all of your sacrifices.
such a sad day.thank you Carolyn
hello...r we not having a bbdish viewing party for tonight?

I knew I would find this here today.
Thank you.

I hope everyone had a peaceful day and you remembered this day in your own way.
Any day when nearly 3,000 lives are lost is terrible and should never be forgotten. Neither should the casualties in the War on Terror, in the years since.
We have lost 6,717 lives in Iraq and Afghanistan along with 50,897 that have been wounded. In Iraq there has been 4,488 deaths and 2,229 in Afghanistan.
I pray every day that there will be some peace to be found for the family and friends of all who have been lost and that some day there will be no more war.
Until that day comes I support our troops put in harm's way still, and those that have come home. I especially remember those who have come back home to a completely different world than they knew when they were deployed. I'm thinking of those who have come home with missing limbs, eyesight and such. I think of those who made it back severely burned (as was my nephew-in-law) and of those who's scars can not be seen on the surface but they still suffer from remembering the sights they saw and ultimately PTSD and other mental problems.
I think of all that, but not just on this one single terrible day but all year round. I try to do things that make me a better person to honor them.
