The Overnight Report

Good morning, BB Lovers!  Happy Thursday to you!

The live feeds were on fire last night!  To Keep Donny or Not to Keep Donny, that is the question.  Whether 'tis nobler carries no weight at all in the Big Brother house.. nor should it.   For a rundown on the earlier part of the evening when all the game talk started please see  see Michigan Man's detailed comments at the end of the Wednesday Show Viewing party, then have a look at this quick post: Caleb to Donny: Me, Frankie and Derrick want Nicole to Go

We'll begin the Overnight Report just before the clock strikes midnight.. It may be after Donny's bedtime, but it is always primetime in the BB house.  Besides, when has an HG on the block ever had to be present when it comes to deciding their fate this season?

Caleb: At the end of the day, (Drink!) us 3 are the ones that make the decision.
Derrick: Yeah, we gotta win!  We gotta win!
Frankie: No.. he's saying about tomorrow.

Frankie exits.

Derrick: Oh.. we're drawin' a line in the sand if we do that.  That's the only thing.  And Cody.. you know..
Caleb:What's he gonna do?  Work with Donny, if we keep him?

Derrick: Pffff... Who the f*ck knows.. This is Big Brother.  Who the f*ck knows?  (yells to Frankie)  Hey, Frankie!  We only have 7 minutes.
Frankie: OK

Derrick and Frankie jog around the house..

11:59pm
Frankie  and Derrick are trying to up their activity for the week and releasing a bit of tension, drumming with the sticks..  Frankie even throws a primal scream into the mix, which tickles Derrick..

Frankie: Finally I have Cody to myself.

He piles on top of Cody.

Cody: You smell good all the time.
Frankie: Thanks.

**Fishies.

Cody: Don't worry. Why would you worry?
Frankie: I don't worry about you. I just feel like this is a.. We just have to make the right decision, and I feel like we're at that stage of the game now where every decision counts, so obviously, it makes me freak out.
Cody: Yeah..
Frankie: That's all.  Like every decision counts..
Cody: That's why I was getting frustrated.  You were mouthing your opinion, I was mouthing mine..  And it's just like, like I don't like the whole, especially when it's us 4 now?
Frankie: mm hmm
Cody: Like, I'm just goin' with the group.  There is no..
Frankie: Exactly.  We're not the group anymore.  I  mean we are, but there's legitimate concerns on both sides of the coin.
Cody: Exactly. It's like, state your..
Frankie: We could pick out a skittle.  Just kidding.

Cody: But I just..

Caleb: mm?
Derrick: What am I thinkin'?
Caleb: mm hmm
Derrick: Donny's gotta go.  And then we gotta win.
Caleb: Sounds good.
Derrick: Not only that, but do you really wanna draw a line against Cody right now?
Caleb: No, but I feel that if Nicole stays, they're all just gonna team up against me, you and Frankie if we don't win.
Derrick: It's possible.. but they gotta win 3 weeks in a row then.
Caleb: Yeah.. The thing is, if one of us go home next?  That's game over. Know what I mean?
Derrick: But Donny could do the same thing to us.
Caleb: Yeah.
Derrick: They're floaters.  But we ain't gonna lose.
Caleb: hm?
Derrick: We're not gonna lose.
Caleb: No.  We're not.  We'll be fine.

Caleb starts to leave..

Derrick: Hey, it's week 10.  We ain't lost yet.  We're not about to start now.
Caleb: No.

Frankie: No, I understand what your points were.
Cody:  And I completely understand yours.. That's why I'm like, we just mouth what our thoughts were.  Whatever.  I'm always gonna have your guys' back.
Frankie: That I know.
Cody: Good.
Frankie: It was never about "us," it's just a question of what's the right decision.
Cody: I know..
Frankie: And she will not tell you or anyone who her target is.

Cody: I haven't even gotten her alone yet.
Frankie: She wont say it. She'd be silly to say it.  Regardless, it'll bite her in the ass.
Cody: mm hmm
Frankie: And if she does say it, what does it mean?  She could say like Victoria..
Cody: Which would be fill of sh*t.  I love Christine, trust her,  but if she feels like she's on the outs..
Frankie: (whispers) That's why I'm saying get rid of Nicole.. She's got no one to work with.  Donny will never ever ever ever ever work with Christine..
Cody: Yeah but.. I still.. I just.. Don't want Donny.  And I don't fear Nicole.
Frankie: Well, you obviously don't.  She's suckin' your dick.
Cody: I don't think she does it with me like that, cuz I think she's still playing a game.  Like, I think she can act nice with Christine, but I don't think she forgot what Christine did.
Frankie: No.. I agree.

Derrick and Victoria

After a bit of small talk..

Derrick:  What's been goin' on today?  I keep seein' you talkin' to Nicole.
Victoria: Oh she just keeps asking me if it's still going on..
Derrick: Obviously we're gonna keep her.. but do you think she'll put me up?
Victoria:  That's what I wanted to talk to you about.
Derrick: Now I'm nervous.
Victoria: Yesterday, I was trying to see what she's thinking..  She's like scared to talk now, becuase she knows if she says one thing..
Derrick: right right right..

Victoria: She said if she wins HoH, she's not putting me up and she's not putting you up, like for sure.  She said hypothetically, like, should would put up Christine.. but don't repeat that to anyone.
Derrick: My question is who is she gonna put her up next to?
Victoria: Right, so I was trying to see who.. She was like, I don't think people will want her out and she'll have enough votes that she'll stay..  So I was like, hypothetically, you would never put me up, but if you put her up against Cody or up against..

Derrick: Do you think she would ever put up Cody though? (shaking his head no as he speaks)  i don't think so..
Victoria: We were just saying hypothetically everyone in the house, and I was just saying people would choose that person over Christine.  That's what I was trying to get at. And then, she wouldn't tell me who the other person is..

Derrick: That's why I think it could be me.
Victoria: No.  Cuz she told me for sure..
Derrick: Did you bring up my name, or did she?
Victoria: Well, first she told me how you and her were talking about me in the hammock, like good things..
Derrick:  Good.
Victoria: Then I was like, ok, and I was trying to get into it without her realizing  and she said she would never put me or you up. For sure.
Derrick: And she brought up our names.  You didn't bring em up.
Victoria: (makes a click noise that indicates no) She said me and you, for sure no, and how much she loves you and your honesty.. I think she'll put up Christine and Frankie.
Derrick: That's good.  Stay close to her.. and I'll stay close to the guys.  You know what I mean?
Victoria: mm hmm
Derrick: That's all you need.
Victoria: She doesn't like Christine... which is good.
Derrick: But that's why you have to stay cool with Nicole, because Christine will try and get back in  with Nicole.
Victoria: I know..

Derrick: I find it funny that she's talkin' good about me now, because remember how she was talkin' shit about me to you before she left the first time?  Remember?  She was like, "you can't trust Derrick."
Victoria: She said that?
Derrick: Or was that Zach?  All Zach?
Victoria: That was Zach.

This is ongoing..

Frankie: So we'll just have a conversation tomorrow.
Derrick: Absolutely.  Absolutely.

Frankie: Ultimately, the only reason I am so passionate is because of America.
Derrick: I know, I know..
Frankie: That's the only thing that's really fueling my passion.  Also, I think if we don't get (credit for) this mission, then that means they're f'in pissed.
**That they are, and mostly at you, Frankie, even though you've been leading the charge to save Donny.  That detail gets completely lost..
Derrick: ummm.. Honestly, I agree with your first statement.  I don't know if they'll f*ck him, because he's part of our mission.  So they're gonna take 5 grand out of his pocket.
Frankie: That's true.
Derrick: Honestly, I'm bankin' on your fans..
Frankie: But also we did a good job.
Derrick: I thought it was good, and honestly, the fact that we were asked about it so much, and the other HGs were asked about it so much..
Frankie: You don't have to bank..  Everyone was so excited.
Derrick: What else were we gonna do, Frankie?
Frankie: Murder someone?
Derrick: Frankie, if we didn't pass the test, what else were we gonna do?
Frankie: I don't know.

Derrick: The only other option was to have to convince Cody to use the Veto..  There was no chance. No Chance.  So that wasn't an option for the mission.
Frankie: Right.
Derrick: If we had til eviction to do it, then maybe..

Frankie: When you said, "My strategy is to continue to not play in competitions and have other people give me the veto," that was the funniest thing I've ever heard in my life.
Derrick: I'm gonna get some haters for that one.
Frankie: It was great.  I hope we get it.  It was so much effort.

Derrick: They either love us or they hate us, and we're about to find out.
Frankie: Damn, that's so much pressure.
Derrick: No, none at all.  I'm gonna sleep like a baby tonight.
Frankie: Yeah, right.

Skipping ahead a few minutes..

Derrick: Hey, it's game time now.  3 weeks left.
Frankie: Exactly.  No more crying. No more sob stories. We gotta do it.
Derrick: Hey.. we're gonna do it.
Frankie:Yeah
Derrick: Watch. Watch.

Frankie: Weeee!
Derrick:  You watch.

After a brief pause, we're back to Donny talk...

Derrick: I did talk to Donny tonight, and he said, "You guys are gonna have to explain yourselves if you vote me out,"  and I said, "Donny, I'm gonna be honest with you.  3 weeks ago, me and Frankie came to you and basically begged you to do a mission with us, and you looked us right in the eye and said, 'I'm not here for Team America.  I'm here for Donny Thompson' Now, you're asking us to honor the same thing.  You know?  You said you didn't care about.."  I said, "I'm not sayin' you're goin' home, I'm just sayin' keep that in perspective.  Don't throw that card out now, because I find that ironic."
** You're too kind, Derrick.  I find it hypocritical at best.

Derrick: "You're gonna have to explain yourselves."   No we don't.  Me and you wanted to do a mission, and he told us to go pound sand.
Frankie: mm hmm
Derrick: He cost us 5k.
Frankie: And we would have done it, if it was just the 2 of us.
Derrick: We would have nailed it.

They decide to leave the Donny decision making til Thursday... and on Derick's suggestion, it'll have to be Caleb that brings it up, and they should be non-commital, like, "Well, if that's what YOU want.." because it's better for their games..

All the while, during their conversation, we've been able to hear Cody, Victoria, Christine and Nicole.  At the moment, they're drawing things on Cody's back for him to guess..  See:
Cody: mm.. Do it again..
**and they do.

Frankie: He has them under a spell.
Derrick: Yeah.. He's got the vote.  He's definitely got the vote.
**subtext: in the event you are in and win the F3 HoH, and you win it, bring me!

Girls: (off camera) hehehehehe

Derrick: Whaddaya gonna do at this point?
Frankie: Cut them.
Derrick: If I was that good lookin', I'd use the same strategy. And it works.  Hey, sex sells.
***insert hot mostly nekkid pic of Cody here. Oh wait, did I type that out loud?

Derrick: One of em's gotta guy waitin' for her in the jury house, and she's still f'in..
Frankie: And one of them's a virgin, and one of them's married.
Derrick: He's a beast! Beast!

CUT TO:
1:45am
The critters are fading.. Caleb's already down for the count.  Nicole says goodnight, heads to the Have Not Room and she's out cold in 15 minutes..

Victoria, Derrick, Cody, Frankie, Cody and Christine are chatting about computers in the living room..  By 2am, they've moved on to show ratings.. jobs in production.. then..

Cody: Poor Nicole has to pack up that massive suitcase just to unpack it.
Christine: Yeah, that sucks.
Derrick: After tomorrow.. 3 weeks left.

Cody: That is awesome.
Christine: That is surreal.
***That is incorrect.  Close though.. It's 1 month.

And this, dear dishers, concludes the Overnight Report....  At the risk of jinxing it, I believe we're in for an Endurance Comp on the live feeds tonight, and since one never knows how long that could go, and I'll be covering every moment of it live, here on the blog, I'm going to get as much sleep as possible today...

I will be checking in to see if there's any movement on the Donny front, but if not, I'll see you back here for the live show viewing party at 8:50pm eastern... and then, BB willing.. for Endurance Comp coverage after that..☺

Nicole talking to herself. 9:27 BBT:

"I need to man up, man. Quit being weak. It's just weird being back in this house. I got a 2nd chance and I need to utilize it for sure.

There's so many options. I don't know what is best for my game right now and that is what is making me sick. What am I supposed to do, come back all fired up and cocky, put a target on my back again? No, I gotta lay low, do things I didn't do last time because I got out. If I gotta look weak to get to the end, I gotta look weak. I have a good excuse. My head's out of it. But really my head's more in the game than it's ever been.

Situations are running through my head all the time. The first comp I sucked. I didn't even know what day in the house it was. I didn't expect that comp at all. I went out first, super embarrassing but it builds a weak persona. If I hadn't lost that so terribly maybe I would be going this week. Even if I got 2nd I could have been thought of as a threat. I wasn't going to be able to beat Cody in that comp.

For the PoV I knew they were all folding and I couldn't risk Donny winning because I knew I wasn't the target. I had to let Donny stay and get eliminated. If I had stayed and knocked Cody out, Donny could have won and took himself off the block and I would go home. You gotta be smart, sometimes you gotta make yourself look weak. I'm not weak. Well, I am because I'm a have not but geeze I can't stand anyone in this freaking house except Victoria.

I gotta do what I think is going to get me the furthest in this game. I feel terrible for how poorly I did in those comps but at that time I wanted Cody to win veto and I knew they were just going to keep going down the line. I'm not stupid.

You need more confidence. Confidence is key. You need more confidence in what you're doing. If you survive this week Nicole, you need to become the gamer you were prior. I will have my confidence back, I just need to get through this week.

Oh my gosh...

Hayden will be happy I'm surviving another week but when he sees the competitions he's going to be so embarrassed."

That interchange explains the whole TA. They only had until Monday noon to save Donny... and it could not have been guaranteed unless Veto was used on him and Cody has brains enough that he would not have done that. He knows he is Donny's target. It seems people keep thinking that Saving Donny until Thursday was an option... it never was. It had to be done by Monday.

KNOWING THIS ABOVE I VOTED FOR THE TASK, WANTING DONNY TO GET ANOTHER $5K ON THE WAY OUT, Even if it was half-hearted.

Good Morning.

It appears to me that Frankie is still the only person that wants to keep Donny.

It still seems that it's only Derrick's opinion that matters. He has masterfully led everyone, but Frankie, to getting rid of Donny.

If Derrick had wanted to keep Donny he could have jumped on board when Cody suggesting backdooring Frankie. If he had we would be facing a sure eviction of Frankie this week.

We will probably get down to Frankie, Caleb, Cody and Derrick, and Victoria, before they realize that they have to vote each other out.

Thanks for your reports Carolyn.

Not posting much anymore... staying away from comments and social media in general as much as I can. All the bashing and negativity has gotten to me.

I LOVE these House guests. I have seen the game being played all summer and respect it, even if not as exciting because it is predictable. Now the drama will start. May the best woman or man win. They are still there for a reason.

A final take on Donny, who I like as a person. He has not been a good player and I think it all stems from being lied to and shut out having aligned with Devin first day. When that alliance first happened Donny was so excited and happy that I believe he became gun shy to reach out after that. He kept all his thinking to himself until it was too late. It is all about numbers, this game. Who is on your side and who is not. But I preferred seeing Donny burned that third week rather than the way Dan burned, the real old guy Jerry (75), at F3 in BB10. Donny could have bounced back socially, but he did not. Jerry also needed that money... his wife had Alzheimers and her care was not cheap. But again, this is a game and not charity.

I disagree with the assertion that Donny wanting Frankie and Derrick to save him for Team America is hypocritical because Donny didn't want to do a task a few weeks ago. The fact of the matter is that Frankie and Derrick have been anti-Team America from day one. From them running upstairs to tell Cody to put Donny on the block as a replacement at the 11th hour to Derrick constantly trying to convince America Donny isn't with them, they've been anti-Donny and anti-Team America. If Derrick is allowed to try to guilt us into disliking Donny then why isn't Donny allowed to guilt them into keeping him?

I don't think there has ever been a season where I've had such bittersweet feelings every Thursday. I love the potential for a new game to start, I HATE that someone is leaving (unless they decide to evict Christine, then by all means "Kick rocks" Sweetie!!)

Sorry, I just can't like her - I promise I tried though;)

Hi everyone! :) long time reader first time commenter! I also think there could be a last minute flip for Donny if the TA results are revealed before the vote, but it would be entertaining if they voted Donny out and found out afterwards that the mission was a failure. I want to see them scramble and sweat a little bit.

I agree, and what is the deal with them calling him a floater with all the comps he has won? Every time donny has tried to talk game he has been punished. He is completely alone. If donnys a floater then Caleb is a floater.

A lot of commenters are saying Donny is not playing a good social game, I have said the same thing, but the fact of the matter is the only people who actually like Donny are Pow Pow who went out early; Jocasta, weak player; Zach unpredictable and all over the map and in both the Bomb Squad and the Detonator alliances; Hayden and Nicole who thought they were in a four person alliance with Derrick & ? (Cody? Not sure.). In other words with friends like this who needs enemies?

There is not one person who wanted to work with Donny with the exception of Nicole when she returned, but as much as she likes Donny as a person she can't work with him because they are on the block together and even if they weren't it is too dangerous. They are outnumbered and her only chance is to worm her way into the good graces of the "in" crowd.

As for Team America, Frankie and Derrick were mad and still carry a grudge against Donny for turning down one of the missions, but they never had Donny's back; Team America was not a real team, just a money making scheme.

The only reason Frankie wants to keep Donny this week is because he knows Nicole will come after him, what he doesn't know (but should) is that he is expendable. His alliance already tried to get rid of him once.

You really can't survive in the BB house if nobody has your back, that Donny made it this far is a miracle. He could have stayed up all night, played pool, stood on his head and it wouldn't have mattered. For example, can you imagine the HG wanting to cuddle with Donny and play with his hair?

This is the weirdest group ever, I would want to smack a grown person for getting into my personal space like that. I really don't get it, but it has been a bonding mechanism and those who don't partake are out of the loop, with the possible exception of Derrick who is the least touchy feely member of his alliance. But even Derrick has hoisted Victoria over his shoulder. Not that there is anything wrong with it, just seems a bit odd to me.

I just hope that Donny exposes Derrick and Frankie for TA and the money they made if he doesnt get their votes. Why wouldnt he? They would jump to the front of the block line. Why does the "mastermind" not see that as a big issue for his game?

As mush as I would "love" to believe that I do not think they (Frankie and Derrick) will flip vote as it would raise to many eyebrows. As Derrick would say "it's not good for my game". Oh how I would love to see it happen and watch the looks on all the faces...hahahaha

I think the task Donny passed on was to convince the HOH to put someone OTB (as a pawn?) and then get that person voted out.

I would have passed also. To begin with, they would have had to agree on a target. Donny would have been outnumbered 2 to 1. Whoever the target was, it wouldn't have been anyone to hurt Derrick and Frankie's long term game but would have been someone who could have helped Donny's long term game.

America didn't get to vote for the target and, frankly I am surprised they voted for the task. So many people (myself included) have complained about the predictability of one side ruling the house for the entire season. Why vote for a task that makes it that much easier for the ruling side.

My main issue with that task-It's just mean. We all know that BB is more about the entertainment than the game. But that task would have payed 3 people for absolutely destroying someone else's game and using them as a chess piece in a match they didn't even realize they were taking part in. The mission to hide people's belongings should have been harmless fun. That turned into a lynch mob out to get Zack. Even though it was partly his fault for announcing that he was the theif, a lot of fans didn't see it that way. They felt it was the final nail in the coffin that ended Zack's game.

I don't care what Donny's reasoning was for refusing to do the task. Laziness because it just seemed too hard. Selfishness because he knew one of the outsiders would be the sacrificial lamb. Or if it was a moral/ethical decision because he didn't feel good taking money to unfairly destroy someone else's game. Whatever Donny's reasoning was, I think it was the right decision.

@Tella - We seem to agree on so much!! :) That was beautifully stated and I absolutely agree.

@Mattitude - It's all perspective, apparently, because I don't see it that way at all. If anything, the person the most gung-ho about Team America was Derrick. Just because he wanted Donny on the block, does NOT mean he wanted Donny to go home. Derrick doesn't do anything without reason and he certainly hasn't been playing emotionally. If he was playing emotionally, Donny would be staying this week. If you want to dislike Derrick, dislike him for the masterful game he has played, not because you think he's a bad person.

I agree with you, Carolyn. As much as I like Donny, and I'm glad to see he's campaigning now, but he showed up the little late to the party. Using TA is a good strategy but he can't discard it one week and then try to use it to his advantage the next. Derrick is way too smart for that and will no doubt make sure Frankie understands it too. And as for Donny using the "old man" bit, I'm about 10 years older than him and I certainly don't feel old. He acts like he's got one foot in the grave..... Maybe if I was living with a bunch of 20 & 30 year olds, I'd feel the same way as him.

@Tella

Loved your comment and take on Donny.

I, too, like Donny as a person...he seems like a really nice guy. I'm not sure if Devin had a great deal to do with it or if Donny is more of a loner. Donny works in a job that allows him to work alone a great deal of the time. In his private life he enjoys reading. Both of those choices are conducive with being an introvert. There's nothing wrong with that, however, it's not the best personality type to play an interactive social game. When Donny is one on one with someone he feels comfortable with he does just fine but if more people are involved or if his comfort level is tested, he clams up. That's just him. A great guy but not a great gamer.

The night before Nicole was voted out she and Donny had a long talk. (I posted the time/cams at the end of the last post that night) Parts of the conversation were very funny - the funniest I've ever seen Donny. Later in the convo Donny explained to Nicole why they were both in the situation they were in. He talked about how they had both tried to play the game alone instead of making alliances. He said everyone else in the house had started alliances way back at the beginning of the game and now it was all a matter of a numbers game. Without being in an alliance with other HGs having your back, you are doomed to be evicted. No one can play and win BB without having an alliance to protect you. You cannot play in and win every competition. He seemed to have a good handle on where he had failed as a player.

A couple of days later was when the Zingbot came to the house. When Donny's zing was about him having no social game a light bulb went off in his head. For the first time all season he started to talk a little game and made his first attempt to play a social game. Unfortunately for him it was a little late to start the game and he didn't really have the tools he needed (game wise) to be able to change a situation that has been in place for 2 months already. A great guy but not a great gamer.

Hello everyone. Thanks for this forum. Love it!
I have to say that i'm in two minds about who i want out. I'm for the underdog every year which includes, for me, Donnie, Nic, and Vic this year.
Donnie is the man! Great game on chat last night with feedsters saying donnie is the inventor of BB to the Messiah. It was a lot of laughs! I want Donnie saved just to screw with the boys but i don't think donnie would winn endurance and just be right back where he is now. Nic on the other hand, whether she wins HOH or not, has a great social game and could redirect the target to Christine. And Vic, she could slide right on by to F2 and maybe jury would give her the win just to stick it to Derrick. ( a girl can only hope!) Regardless i don't want any of the boys or Christine to win. I guess my intolerance for nasty behaviour has ratcheted up since last season and even though i know ugly things have to be done to people i don't agree that ugly things have to said about other HG's, and Nic, Vic, and donnie have done the least bashing.
I do have to say i can't wait to see panic on Derrick's or Frankie's face if they are ever put up on the block in the coming weeks. If that happens buckle your seatbelts because they will unleash Holy hell. And i think if Nic gets HOH she will be bullied so unmercifully that production might have to step in.
Just my thoughts.

All of this "maybe we should keep Donny" hype is a farce. I don't know if it's Frankie's idea or production's but either way it is not real, it's just a way to keep us interested, to give us false hope. I don't believe any of it & like I told fellow feedsters I'll believe it when I see it.

As for Derrick & his game, I like the way he's playing. The lying & manipulating is expected in BB & he's the best at getting everyone to follow his game plan without them knowing he's leading them. Lucky for him that they're all so young & stupid. I doubt he would fare as well against older, more mature players. What I don't like about Derrick is him lying to America. The live feedsters see his disloyalty to Team America but the edit he gets implies that he is all about TA. Stop blaming Donny when the missions fail & maybe look at yourself & Frankie for better decisions. Frankie has hardly done his share of working at missions as Frankie is all about Frankie.

As for Frankie's game I think he's a lot smarter than they all know. He's good at all kinds of competitions & he has his own agenda that he will reveal very soon which may be a big shock to his alliance. This week was the perfect time to backdoor him. He could win HOH tonite & make the big move that we've all been waiting for, and Derrick's game could be torpedoed. (BTW, I detest Frankie & hope that he doesn't win BB...that would be the straw that broke my back for the year of The Frankie Show).

Here's hoping that Nicole is not the softee that she has been so far. She talks a big game but she is just too nice. She wants to play an honest game & she can't stand the thought that somebody doesn't like her. When I saw her 1st interview my first thought was "naive". She may be smart but to play BB you have to have guts & an "I don't care what people think" attitude. Good luck, Nicole!

Donny, be happy you're out of the lion's den and I know you will appreciate being in the Jury House & finally getting the peace & love you deserve.

Re the attempt to flip the house vote:

I don't want to keep harping on Derrick because he's not the HG I dislike the most, but the way he keeps pushing in Donny's face that Donny said "I'm here for Donny Thompson, not Team America" is pretty hypocritical.

First of all, those were not Donny's exact words. Donny thought the mission would destroy his game and he was simply trying to emphasize in his somewhat awkward way that he didn't think any TA mission should jeopardize any of their games. Derrick and Frankie even agreed with him at that point, but they just wanted that $5K so badly that they had to pin the blame for not getting it on the one who balked and the one whose game might have been ruined.

It is hypocritical of him because the next week they all agreed that even attempting the TA mission would jeopardize ALL of their games and it wasn't worth it for $5K. So now who's anti-TA boys?

So, Derrick, I beg you to please be quiet about Donny NOT being pro-TA. He was pro-TA when you guys weren't. Donny was the first one to say that TA was his only alliance and that if they believed anyone had their backs more than him, they would be wrong. I guess you forgot that conversation, Derrick?

As for why Derrick doesn't want to keep Donny, I'm pretty baffled. I get that he's sure Donny is targeting him and Nicole isn't. That part makes sense. What I don't get are the tears and "battle of conscience" he's been displaying. Is it for "America" so we won't hate him for voting out the old nice guy and part of "our" team? That's truly my belief. He's a master manipulator and if we think he's not manipulating the fans through the cameras, we'd be just as stupid as his fellow HGs. He loves using the feeds to get to us and while I fell for it in the beginning, I truly think it is a part of his plan to get out of this game not only winning but having America/the fans completely in love with him.

Surprisingly for me, I don't hate Caleb like I used to. I still think he has some issues regarding women (I won't forgive him for ruining Amber's game with his stalking obsessive behavior) and his self-inflated ego, but I will admit that without his obsession in the game he has leveled out and, at times, even seems logical. I still hope he doesn't make it to the end, but he doesn't have to be evicted next for my happiness. I do wish he'd stop doing that character that is some kind of stereotypical "redneck," though. It's pretty offensive, IMO.

I also feel Frankie's new "Sid" character should bite the dust. Using a Down's Syndrome kid as a character should be off limits. Again, IMO. At least it appears to me he's imitating someone with Down's or at least someone with some sort of mental incapacity.

I loved hearing Nicole's thoughts and being let in on the scam she's hoping she is perpetrating. Way to go, Nicole. Fingers crossed you smoke the HOH and can do some real damage.

Caro & BB Buddies (((HUGS))))

Tella -- Agree 100% with both posts. I feel validated!

Re the results of the mission, I understood either Derrick or Frankie to say yesterday they would be advised of the results during the show tonite. Julie would ask one of TA a question about what they would like if they were a HN. There were to reply apple pie. If she said yes, they passed. If she said no they failed.

@martie 13

I have to disagree. I do believe the second thoughts are real. I am positive Frankie does want to keep Donny. Why wouldn't he. It has nothing to do with conscience or kindness.

If Donny stays it's more possible TA money. Frankie feels sure Nicole will put him OTB. He is not sure who Donny will nominate but doesn't think Donny stands as much chance of winning HOH as Nicole.

With Derrick, the doubt also has nothing to do with conscience as he would like us to believe, but he does still have doubts. He also thinks Nicole would be better in certain comps. He thinks Nicole would likely go after Frankie but doesn't trust her. He feels certain Donny would come after him. And he thinks if Donny was in F2 he would win.

Caleb definitely thinks it would be better to keep Donny for his own reasons, mostly comp based.

@ Ryder
@ everyone else

Ryder, I mostly agree with your assessment of Donny. However, I have a few additional points I'd like to make.

Donny & Kristine (his girlfriend) probably did a lot of thinking before signing up for BB. Knowing that he lives a mostly solitary life and is probably an introvert as well as having OCD, they made the decision anyway to try to play the game. It is/was a favorite TV show which is what they based their decision on. Unfortunately they weren't live feeders so they had no idea what living in the BB house was really all about. (My eternal question has always been, can you truly be considered a superfan if you don't get live feeds?)

Big Brother started off 42-yr old Donny's inevitable downfall by putting him in the house with 12 20-somethings and 3 low-30-somethings. It's surprising he lasted this long, and all because of his comp wins. Also, BB wanted him to continue growing the beard which was very short at the time of the 1st interview. I'm sure BB wanted the Duck Dynasty impression, which paid off for them. But the impression it made on the HGs, plus his southern dialect & colloquialisms, was not positive. It made him seem older than 42, and they probably thought he wasn't too bright either. I think the first time Donny said "I am old" was in a sarcastic way because he could tell that that's what these youngsters were thinking. It was only after that I think he began to use it to his advantage.

Donny is not old. 42 is not old. But Donny has some physical ailments that limit his activities (bad leg, bad back according to Kristine). Also, he was raised in a very different environment & culture...it is a very simple life. That combined with the OCD & introversion make Donny seem way older than he is.

So, in addition to all of the HGs having already formed unfavorable impressions, Devin comes along & speculates about Donny being some sort of super soldier or being more than he says he is. So Donny was put on the block & even though he was given an apology from Devin & not evicted, the dye was cast. (Devin sure did do some damage in the short time he was there).

Now, I'm excusing Donny his own responsibility for his poor position in the house. His introversion prevented him from making friends and alliances early on. I think part of this was because of the shell shock of the reality of the behavior he witnessed early on which was not what he expected. He became paranoid sooner than normal, and like a true introvert it took him a long time to open up and warm up to people. I had hopes that he would be less rigid and more adaptable, but it just wasn't in his makeup. But ATEOTD Donny is a kind, genuine, intelligent man who made a wrong turn into reality TV.

You are so right about what I think is the most important aspect, Ryder. A person like Donny is not capable of being a gamer, not in this kind of game anyway. That said "to be honest with you", "quite frankly" "at the end of the day" "it is what it is", and "my thing is" Donny is a winner in my book.

Donny is a genuine, good person who stepped out of his comfort zone into a totally alien world that shocked & confused him. But he will fine. I hope that the love, kindness & support he receives when he gets out of the house sustains him and erases all the bad memories from his head.

@Grendon

You are probably right. I am just too suspicious of BB's constant interference. I feel they're using Frankie as their big draw for ratings so I get skeptical whenever he displays behavior that contradicts previous behavior. But I hear you when you say Frankie is concerned for his own game (aren't they all?) but I think he's wrong that Nicole is safer for him than Donny. I think they are both after him, but he may not be their #1 choice. I'm not so sure that Derrick's feeling about Donny is accurate either. I know Donny knows Derrick is a threat but he keeps saying that Frankie, Cody & Christine are the ringleaders, and he might be sincere in wanting TA to stay safe. However, I've resigned myself to Donny leaving so it's all good as long as either he or Nicole can break up the (too)long reigning alliance.

@Damnskippy

Yes, Caleb's obsession & stalking of Amber was crazy & I too blame him for ruining Amber's game. But I have to admit, other than that & some of his other questionable behaviors (anti-Arab violence, possible animal abuse) he is quite entertaining in a train wreck kind of way. I follow him to see what craziness he'll come up with next. (Get help, Caleb)

I would LOVE to see Donny do that!!! That would be both highly entertaining and a seriously smart move on Donny's part. If Donny stayed in the house it would be a bad move but if he got evicted and wants someone other than Derrick or Frankie to win, that is the single best move he could make. I wonder why D and F haven't thought of that? Or maybe they have and I missed it. Either way... something tells me it's just not in Donny's character to do that anyway :)

Unfortunately, your team is at risk right now, so lets hope that they can pull themselves together before this vote, the exposure after the vote is announced will guarantee that none of your team sits in the finals. Thank you very much.

@Ryder Thanks. Donny has not lived with anybody for 21 years according to his bio. Coming into a house with so many young people and little in common made him out of the loop... and he didn't show interest enough. He should have taken this thing on as a summer job and pretended to be more interested. I probably would have had little in common with these people, I am 8 years Donny's senior... but I would have changed my sleeping schedule for sure.

I heard the apple pie comment too. It won't make a difference, because the saving of Donny as a task was to be completed by Monday... so keeping him would not matter for TA's sake.

On a separate note, I also see that they are playing an individual game... just like Donny did a few weeks back when he didn't care about the task. Why is it OK for one to bail but not another. Derrick benefits having Donny gone, Frankie does not... this is why Frankie pushed harder. Nothing about allegiance to the TA. Like Donny said... they are all playing for their own game and don't want it ruined. But in BB fans world... you can do what you want as long as they like you.

Thanks as always Carolyn, I do hope that you got in some good shut eye today. I agree, we are well past due for a good old fashioned endurance. let's see, Cody is OUT, that leaves, Derrick
Frankie
Nicole
Victoria
Christine
Caleb
I don't think Derrick will last long, Caleb might last longer but at the end of the day, I don't see him in it for the long haul. Victoria might hang longer than we all think. Christine as well,Nicole I think will be one of the first down of the girls, let's not forget she's been a HN , that does not bode well for a comp like this. I see it coming down to Frankie or Christine. UGH..As much as I'd LOVE for Nicole to win it,I don't see it, I sure hope she proves me wrong.
Anyway, I hope it is a very long brutal one, make them earn it..They've been lucky with comps this year in my eyes. I hate to see Donny go, but like many other's feel he did this to himself, he didn't really start playing a social game until Zingbot,I do agree the Devin ordeal spooked him but too little too late..I do feel it's a mistake on their part though because IMO Nicole is a bigger threat. I look forward to waking up and seeing who won, I wake up at 4 AM for work, that's 1:00 BBT , hopefully, I'll know something before I have to leave at 5:30 for work. I'm having major issues with my feeds now, lot's of feedback, sound blending on all four cams etc, it's driving me nuts, I've cleared my cache and cookie and history several times, tried other browsers and still have it, so sadly i'm not able to watch the feeds now :*( so I TRULY Appreciate all that you do xoxoxo

I agree Tella,

It is unfortunate when someone's dislike for a contestant devolves into personal attacks about who they are or what they do outside of the house. It's as if they are only being viewed from a single dimension at the viewer's discretion. Hatred.. or animosity can be malignant forces though.

I've seen negative comments about livlihoods, their friends and families, and even sourness over cuddling. Cuddling! It is a wonder how any of those things affect viewers personally; and perhaps the greater question is, for what reason?

No one in the house is an absolute paragon and no one is an absolute villain. Each HG is composed of both elements as they struggle towards the finish line all the while consigning themselves to an isolated fish bowl. The distinction here is certain HGs may be vilified in the minds of some, thus nullifying any positive notion attributable to their person. We all have our favorites and least favorites, but no ones' hands are entirely clean due to the precedent the game sets.

I believe history can attest to us that conventional opinion often has a tendency to mar indepedent thought and fair consideration. So while what's been said may not change any minds, perhaps it will at least be cause for examination of reasoning.

Like I said before, Nicole should know better than to not expect to be sent home, though she's been told she's staying. If you don't learn from history... Well, you know.

As for the TA "mission" - even if saving Donny wasn't possible given the time constraints, that was a very poor excuse for a "show" and they could have grown a brain and come up with something better than that. They could have locked themselves up in the HOH for 24 hours and convinced everyone else that production did it to them. They could have done any number of sabotage missions or convincing someone to do something missions. Oh, that's right they don't have Zach to volunteer to do their missions for them. Any way I look at it they deserve a big FAIL on this one!

I know it's a little late in the day, but I have been thinking about Donny and Derrick today and thought I would post my thoughts.

Donny...... of the remaining houseguests, he is definitely my favorite on a PERSONAL level. He is kind, humble, and down to earth. Unfortunately these aren't characteristics that help one win the game of BB.
I agree with the previous poster (sorry, I forget who it was) who said Donny's naturally an introvert....and it's hard to overcome that in a game largely based on sociability. I think back to the first week when Donny was actually tearing up over the fact that his housemates were actually kind to him......I think he is not very used to that in his real life.

(Part 2, because my phone is annoying)

Derrick.....Whether it's because he is just that good, or because his fellow housemates are that easily swayed- he is by far playing the best game this season. Do I see instances where he is heavy handed? Yes, of course. I didn't love it when he made Victoria cry, or any of the perceived "bullying" of the female HGs. I do believe we may have seen glimpses of his true personality in those moments, but I am not ready to vilify him for it. I might not choose him for a friend, but that isn't what he is there for. This is a game, and he who plays it best deserves to win, whether I personally like them or not.

Hello All!
Sad to see Donny go tonight (if everything that's been talked about comes to pass).. It's too bad.
But whether I like it or not I kinda get it. Derrick and Frankie don't want to ruffle feathers and expose themselves against their alliance. Everyone is so afraid to rock the boat or go against the house in this season, it's pretty sad. I get not wanting to be the outcast.. But sometimes you have to go against the grain to make a big move!

So excited that tonight we may finally get endurance! Fingers crossed like every other week! Lol

Here's a question for you guys... Do you think if and when Donny gets to the jury house that we will finally break the Team America secret???
