Thursday Morning with the BB15 Final 4

Happy Thursday, BB Lovers! As of 10:02am BBT, it's wakey wakey time in the Big Brother 15 house!

I've been sitting here for a while now, waiting on the wakeup, and all the while thinking, they'll probably send us to trivia pretty early today..

It's just a feeling I get.  They do it when they want to maximize interest, and anything they can do to create intrigue around the possibility of McCrae not being evicted tonight would do just that.  Could just be wishful thinking though, too..

Last night, Final 4 HoH and PoV winner Andy told Spencer and GM that he would like to break it gently to McCrae today..  Nothing personal, Exterminators, etc., etc...

If this is your first time on BBDish today, and you'd like to get caught up, please have a look at The Overnight Report.

While we wait on the wakeup fishies, here's another sale I couldn't pass up: Today ONLY: Champion is offering Free Shipping plus 20% off Everything! Click link to activate offer. Offer valid 9/12/2013. :-) New exercise gear for everyone!

As of 10:25am, The feeds are back!  Andy's up in HoH listening to music and watching the spy screen.  GM is burrowing deeply into her bed, and McCrae and Spencer are off camera.

10:36a
I'm not sure I'm equipped to describe the level of sheer excitement..  I'm also not sure if the Uhas Shrine has recently expanded, or if I simply failed to notice Fly Nick before..

11:07am
Andy descends from the HoH Room to get some clothes.  GM says good morning and toots.  We get our 1st view of the Chair Room bed lumps, otherwise known as McCrae and Spencer.

11:23am
HGs, kindly do something, or I may start making things up..

11:27am
Fishies.. HoH Lockdown may be on the horizon.. and if so, that would lead us into trivia.

11:29am

Andy: Can you please not play the Big Brother theme on repeat?  Please please please please please!

Spencer and McCrae enter the HoH Room..  Then GM

Spencer: Good morning, sleepy head.
Andy: Can you please not play the Big Brother theme on repeat?  Please please please please please!  Ginamarie, can you please ask them with me to play the 80s play list?
GM: (does as requested)
Andy: I just know that that f'in BB theme is going to play, and I'm gonna have a mental breakdown.  I'm gonna kill everyone in the room.

11:32a - Fishies.  Skippy, if you mean Trivia, could you please go to trivia, so I can go for a bike ride?

11:50am - Still fishies.. I'm throwing caution to the wind..  I'll check back in a bit to see if the feeds come back up for an afternoon update.  If not, I'll see you back here tonight at 8:50 pm Eastern for our FINAL Thursday Show Viewing Party of the Season!  Followed by Endurance Comp Coverage... :0)

12:15pm Feeds are back.. Andy's clearing out of the HoH Room. McCrae's in the shower downstairs..  I'm taking a nap, just in case the endurance comp goes super long tonight..

Neener Neener! You didn't got me. I had this feeling that since I had typed so much there may be a new post so I refreshed the front page tab first. I cut my novelette from TOR and I'm putting it here. :-p~

Now I have read TOR and it's about what I expected. a bit of nastiness, a bit of game play and a bit of lying as someone was begging. That's what happens on a usual Wednesday night. I "ALMOST" feel sorry for McCrae but I can't quite get there. He was a true floater in that he laid back and let Amanda do all the work for over two months. He was happy to be her sex toy. He was even passive doing the deed.

One year there was a phrase used in Big Brother. It involved a sheep, the grim reaper, and a giant needle sticking out of a spool of thread. "You reap what you sew" has never been more true than with the cast of BB15.

I don't understand the references to skating. Was that the PoV comp or were they measured for skates for Part 1 of HoH Comp tonight? I see things about GM being a great skater but if she was so great why didn't she win PoV Comp? I'll just stay confused.

Applause goes to Carolyn for all these TOR hours she has given us this year. She does so many other things but TOR turns her life completely upside down.

I'm a bit sad to see so many fair weather fans say they are done with the feeds and with the show for the year. Where are the true fans? Where are the super fans. With statements like that it proves those who say it are neither. I've been watching feeds since the first year we were able to do so. I may not like the ending but I have spent each summer avoiding and ignoring other things in life to give full, or as much as I can, attention to each season. I've never quit watching. I may take a few days off to clear my head but to miss the Finale??? I could never.

My biggest problem this season regarding the feeds was the nastiness on Feed Chat. It wasn't only at Dish Chat, but everywhere. Once I switched to the Twitter tab and used my ignore button on the ones that were there only to stir trouble, I enjoyed the feeds again... or as much as anyone could enjoy this season of vileness.

I know this would be the hashtag everyone would like to give me so I'll tell myself to:
#quityerbitchin' and go back to being my clueless self.

Morning Carolyn and all:)
I hope you were able to find some peace last night Carolyn and get some much needed/deserved sleep. My thoughts are with you.

Regarding the game. . . .I agree with so much of what you have posted this season Grnedon, and unfortunately, I agree with your TOR post, as well.
I wish there was a way to just see the jury house segment and the final q&a/voting. It's almost painful to watch all of the remaining houstguests (sans Mccrae) and I really don't want to watch any more feeds that involve throwing others under the bus.
I know in my head that Andy has played a good game. It's the heart in me that can't reconcile his strategy. It would kill me to have to root for him, even though I know he has played the best. I think the part that really bums me out is that he would be in the exact same spot he is in now if he hadn't turned on 3AM- he would just be a lot more likable.
I am hoping GM and Spencer are smart enough to know they can't beat him.
Looking forward to next year. I think a lot of future casts will learn a lesson from this season. While it will wear off in a few years- 2014 should be good.
Barring any miracles, I am off like a dirty shirt and look forward to an exciting 2014 Big Brother.

PS- Carolyn- If possible, could you keep your donation link active through end of month? I am sure I am not alone in wanting to show my appreciation come payday:)

Good Morning

I have to say that I'm exited the season. is over :) and I know its just a game and the day after the finale I'll go back to my normal life and will forget all about the houseguest but it makes me so sick to think that GM or Spencer will win this. I really would love to see Andy leave in third place though. I do think that gm and Spencer would take each other if they at least want a chance to win.

It has been fun. Can't wait for next year.

I will not be wasting my AF votes because I know Elissa will win (just to make Andy mad). But there is really nobody I would give it too. I loved Judd at the beginning but was not a fan of his when he came back.

Thanks Carolyn for your hard work we apresh :)

Hmmmmmm ... really wanted McCrae to be in the F2 with Judd. Now, seriously, I really don't care. There are arguments for and against the remaining HG's and whether or not they deserve to win ...

Yawn ...

Don't care ... can't make me care ...

Thank you Carolyn for all you do!!!

Good morning all,

I really want to understand why people don't like Andy. I personally enjoy his sense of humor, he is not particularly ugly to anybody (more like catty), and he has played "his" game well. I say his game, because his style might not be to everyone's taste, but it was still effective. Thought????

Good morning Carolyn and all. :)

I hope somehow, by some miracle...Andy does not end up in the final two. As much as I dislike both Spencer and GM, Andy takes the cake for me. Ugh.

You won't get an argument from me Britt. We totally agree. Andy played the best game of the entire cast. We really don't know what David or Nick would have been like. They left much too early. But of those who actually stayed past the first couple of weeks Andy has done the best.

Every year people try to decide the Jury votes and justify them towards who they want to win the big money, but while I haven't gone back to check every season, I can't recall one that the jury as a whole votes strictly along jealous or angry lines. They have calmed down and realize it's a game and as BB Fans they want the best player left to win.

There are a few exceptions to that train of thought but the exceptions are individuals. Not entire juries and I don't think it has ever affected the outcome. I sometimes wish they would because I don't like a finalist but in retrospect they did the right thing.

This year just seems to be more emotional for us, the viewers, that it is even for the cast. I don't think I have ever seen such a strong division among the viewers as there has been this year.

I think Andy has played a decent enough game to deserve the win. No matter who wins they will be the weakest winner since ive been watching. If GM wins it will be a Helen lead human tragedy!

Britt, I have to say the reason people don't like Andy isn't because he hasn't played his game well, but the type of game he's played is particularly hurtful.

His strategy has been to use his likeability to make numerous people feel like he was their best friend. These people would tell him personal things about their own lives, would trust him, would think that he must want to look out for them in the game because he seemed to genuinely care about them as people. Then, he not only voted those very same people out, he pitted them against each other, framed them, blindsided them, blabbed personal secrets, destroyed alliances, and made sure that even as his "best friend" walked out the door, it had nothing to do with him. After that person was gone, he'd make comments tearing that person to shreds (Helen, Amanda, Aaryn, Elissa, and even Judd.)

When you play in such a personal way, you may be playing a smart game, but people forgive "I did this for game play". They do not forgive what is perceived and felt as highly personal betrayal. Andy finds the vulnerability in others, pretends to relate to it, and uses it against them. And while they are hurt and crying, Andy is smiling because he succeeded. There's almost a sense of complete lack of true feeling or empathy, although he uses the illusion of feeling and empathy to relate to others and mastermind plans.

I would love nothing more than to see him go home in third place. But if he does get to the final 2, and the truth about him is known, he will never win. It is equivalent to Russell Hantz from Survivor brilliantly masterminding the game, but not getting a single vote from the jury members. Twice. Playing a game that gets that personal and makes others feels betrayed is a game that people can't see past emotion to respect...at least, not in the course of a few weeks.

Then, there's also the editing. The TV broadcasts make Andy look funny, likeable, sarcastic. He's the redheaded, white, gay guy who's skinny and smart and plays the underdog well. They don't ever let on that some of what he has to say is as crude and offensive or manipulative as everyone else. They let it come off as if Aaryn were the only racist one, Jeremy was the only uber-macho misogynistic one, Amanda was the only bully, Elissa was the only overly emotional bitchy one, etc. In reality, almost every one of the houseguests this season displayed some viciously unlikeable traits, often in the way they would speak about other people. Andy's "What if we did something really offensive on 9/11?" conversation alone would be enough to make CBS wary of using him in the future. I think they're all going to get a severe reality check when they get out of the house...but oddly enough, Spencer will probably be the only one getting an actual check. He can use it to pay his bail money when the cops come knocking. (since his employer called them to report some of the comments he made.)

Afternoon, all. Like Grendon earlier, I can't bring myself to use the word, "Good," because it just isn't with respect to BB right now. :(

SushiUshi, I agree with you regarding Andy!! Had he stayed LOYAL to Goof Troop/3AM, he would be in the EXACT same spot that he is now and would still have the respect & admiration of LOTS of BB fans (& probably much of the jury)! Instead, he turned on them and then just plain talked NASTY about them after they were gone. I don't think he has a chance at winning if he gets to F2 because, as Grendon pointed out before, he got personally nasty about people he called friends (Helen, Amanda) and hearing that is going to hurt them most of all.

Britt: This is why I have NO appreciation or love whatsoever for Andy at this point...Voting competition out IS the name of the game, but TRASHING them personally after you've done so is NOT!! Talk about a sore winner! For me, that's why I can't bring myself to root for him even though his game play HAS gotten him this far. It wasn't cattiness, it was downright mean the way he talked about Helen, Amanda, & Elissa (and I'm not an Elissa fan by ANY stretch of the imagination, but she didn't deserve HALF the trash that the Final 5 have talked about her - and Andy was GLEEFULLY part of that trashing!).

Word of advice, Andy: It's one thing to be proud of what you've accomplished, it's another thing entirely to be boastful and mean about it. That makes you the lesser and renders you undeserving of the accolades.

I agree, Brit. Whatever we may feel about his style of play, Andy was playing the game from the moment he passed through the front door. He stayed true to his alliance(s) until he shrewdly decided it was time to move on, but he didn't "float" to the power each week. He's the most deserving winner of the final 4.
However, I just can't cheer for the Andy we've seen since Elissa left. He has said some really nasty things, and often initiates the Elissa-bashing. There's no need to be that ugly. She's gone, let it go already!

Know what struck me from TOR? GM doing her nails a half hour before bed! I need to find out what kind of super-quick drying polish she uses. If I did that, I'd wake up with sheet-thread impressions on all 10 fingers!

Good morning Carolyn and all my other wonderful BB Buddies. I don't really have anything new to say. So many of you have expressed exactly how I feel. When McCray leaves tonight there really won't be anyone I want to win. I do think it would be poetic justice if Andy got sent home at final 3.

Brnidgrl I agree completely with your assessment of Andy.

I probably won't be watching the feeds after tonight. Can't wait for the finale to see if people like Andy, Spencer and GM get called out.

Everyone have a great afternoon.

Good Afternoon Carolyn. So sorry for your loss of a friend. :-(

As for this game... McCrae leaving and I am done with feeds and not even interested in the endurance tonight. This has only happened to me two times before. I quit... even though I am no quitter.

Of the remaining HGs, I would love for GM and Spencer F2... just for the hell of it. In life, as in the Game, I find nothing more troublesome than betrayal of one you trusted. I can take a snake up front, I can take a perv up front, I can take a bigot up front... but I can not take a betrayal even if it is "good" game play for that 'trusted' person. If I was in the House, backstabbing would hurt more to me than any vile words of any kind. To have a 'friend' who you trusted, backstab you to cut you from your chance to make half a million dollars... much worse than any derogatory remark to ME. Maybe because I am hurting financially and know how that win could change my life, while somebody saying vile stuff does not change me a bit, but says more about the person saying it. That said... in this game I HATE ANDY with a PASSION. I hope he is sent packing at F3. If Andy makes it into a F2 I hope he comes second. Spencer and GM have both been more loyal... so let them fight for the votes and I will laugh at this despicable season.

Since BB 16 has been cleared to GO... I wish for an ALL ALL STARS and not a mix of newbies with Stars, or a bunch of NEW (not related to anybody) Houseguests. So tired of the casting. Tired of the stereo types. Surprise us with a gay guy like Matt Bomer for a change. I just miss some class after this year of extra ordinary crudeness.

Will miss most of you, too many to name... until next summer. May you have health and good fortune. Hope to have a job by next year so I can tip Carolyn for what was a 'painful' summer.

Signing off.

:-)

Hello all! I am SO late! So I know none will probably see this, but here is my take anywho. I agree with Brit. I really can't stand Andy and all of the tears and drama for people on exit. I also hate how vicious he is in talking about the BB evicted. They are gone. Why beat a dead horse? HOWEVER, he has been playing the whole time. Spencer has been the ultimate pawn, no pride in that distinction. GM is just naynay, but you cannot argue her heart. She just is not very strategic. McCrae... The emotional favorite. Even I'm rooting for him some. But what has he done, aside from winning POV in a pinch twice? I have trouble rooting for Andy, but will not be mad if he wins. Not the way I was when Ian beat Dan. I'm still fuming about that.

pacing the floor as he listens to the exterminators lay out there game.
But really its very simple...

(the BB game, the formation of a new alliance)

"It all happened while you were sleeping!"

and the ...."WHAT IF'S"
* If you listened to your gut!
* If Judd had told you before he left"
* If you didn't have a showmance
* IF you had just PLAYED the GAME!
