The Overnight Report

Good morning, BB Lovelies!☺  Happy Tuesday to you!  Today in the house: HoH Blogging and Pics.. and more maneuvering, scheming, lying, backstabbing and general Big Brother...-ing.

For those of you with the live feeds, here's a little light-hearted flashback funny for you that features Caleb, Nicole and Cody and has juggling, a pillow fight and a little wrestling - all in good fun.   Go to 8:50pm on Camera 3, Aug 25th, and go full screen.  It's a great way to start your morning.

If you're a Donny fan and you've given up all hope, you may want to rethink that.  It wont be easy, but wheels are in motion to turn this vote around.. First, have a look at Grande Hope for Donny from yesterday afternoon.  Then you can move on to Michigan Man's detailed summaries in the comments here.  And we'll continue the thread if anything more comes up here in this overnight report. The seeds Frankie planted aren't taking immediate hold, but they are there, and you just never know what ultimately grows in there.

We rejoin our HGs just a few minutes before midnight...

Derrick and Victoria

Following a  talk about Christine, whom Victoria is completely over..
Victoria:  I don't think anyone has been loyal to each other... except us.  I really think that.
Derrick: That's what we think, but we don't know who else is talkin' just like me n you talk all the time.
Victoria:Yeah, but, from what we know, everyone has f'd each other over.
Derrick: mm
Victoria: Yeah.
Derrick: Yeah.
Victoria: Yeah.
***And the Beatles just started singing inside my head.. ♫yeah yeah yeah..

Victoria: Oh, and I also wanted to go over with you the..
Derrick: The best way to remember it is right now, there's been 10 HoHs... so you can use your fingers..

Jedi training commences..  Meanwhile, up in the HoH Room..

Nicole, Caleb, Frankie, Christine

Nicole's telling them about the restrictions in the jury house, and with the exception of Christine, they're all shaking their activity trackers in an apparent attempt to manipulate their activity for the day.. and then on to privacy rights..

Frankie: We signed away all privacy rights whatsoever.  They're like, we can watch you shit.
Christine: mm hmm

Derrick:  I wholeheartedly believe that if we kept Donny here, he could win HoH, send one of us home, cuz he ain't puttin' up Victoria, and we'll be like, dammit, we shoulda kept Nicole.
Frankie: What about..

Derrick: Conversely, if Nicole wins, she could put 2 of us up, send one of us home, and we're still here.  But in order for either one of those scenarios to happen,
Frankie: They have to win.
Derrick: Us 5 jamokes have to lose.  And I just don't see it happening.  And if it does, one of us deserve to go home.  And if it does happen, that means there's still 4 of us left, and that one person can't even compete the following week.  Do I want to be the sacrificial lamb, as much as you don't wanna be, as much as you don't wanna be (he points to Caleb and Frankie individually)?  Of course not.
Frankie: I'll be the sacrificial HoH though. Happy to do that.
Derrick: You know what I'm trying to say though?

Frankie: mm hmm
Derrick: It's one of those things where we literally, it goes back to the box and we control our own fate. We have a say.  Last week you shoulda been more worried than this week.  Cuz you're a beast, and last week you couldn't compete.
Frankie: Yeah.  I wouldn't have won that this week.  I'm so impressed with Cody that he won.
Derrick: You don't have to rely on anybody this week.
Frankie: I know.. I know.. And her in a head to head, no problem.  I just hope it's not chance!
Caleb: I think they're done with the chances.  I think you have to win it to win it.
Derrick: No pun intended, but I think that basically was Donny's last chance.  They threw him a chance comp, and he didn't win it.

Frankie: Well, this makes me feel better.  I just like to talk about it.. cuz you're all I got.
Caleb: At the end of the day, it's not Nicole comin' after you, it's Donny comin' after one of us.
Frankie: Yup.  You're right.. You're right.. and maybe she wont.  Maybe she'll chicken out.
Caleb: It wouldn't be smart for her to do it.

Derrick gets up and leaves the hammock..  Frankie hops on..  They continue the same conversation..

Caleb: It would not be smart for her to do that, and I think she would rather last another week than to go home the following week.
Frankie: Yup.  I agree.  Cuz then she can maybe win again or something.
Caleb: Yeah, exactly.
**and then take one of you out.. and Frankie, if you're nominated and it sticks, the boys will toss you like a hot potato.

Caleb: And we'll just tell her, Nicole, if you don't put up Christine and Victoria,  you can't compete next week, and when one of us win, we'll send you home.
Frankie: Yup, you're right.
Caleb: Even though she'll go home the following week, if she doesn't think it through correctly.  I mean.. That's just the options we'll give her.
Frankie: Yup.  And she might be more receptive than Donny.
Caleb: And she might be like, ok, yeah, fine, I'd love to last another week.

Checking across the yard, Cody, Christine and Derrick are playing pool.  Victoria and Nicole are thee spectators..

Caleb: But at least we'd have the chance to win Veto.
Frankie: I just hope we can convince her to put up Christine.
Caleb: Nicole?
Frankie: Yeah.
Caleb: I think she would.
Frankie: Yeah
Caleb: Well, we'll just tell her, if you don't, you're goin' next week.  It'll be you or Victoria.  Which one do you want?

Nicole and Derrick

After talking with Nicole about what went down with her and Zach the week she was evicted, Derrick works on rebuilding bridges.. if she's going to stay, he'll need to.

Nicole: I feel like an outcast in here.
Derrick: You're not, though.  You haven't said a word to me, and I'm still votin' to keep you.
Nicole: But that's not necessarily what you want.  It could just be what Cody wants.
Derrick: I'm not gonna do what Cody wants.
Nicole: And I felt like..
Derrick: Cody's not runnin' it. We're all makin' our own decisions.
Nicole: Oh.
Derrick: Donny's gotta go.  Cody told me that he spoke to you.

Nicole: Yeah..
Derrick: Cody said that he spoke to you and told you not to run your mouth, don't campaign too much,  cuz you don't need to...
Nicole: Right, but I wanted to talk to you.
Derrick: But the fact that I know that Cody told you that?  I do trust Cody, and that's why, basically trusting you, because by keeping you here, you could win HoH, and we are gonna vote to keep you...
Nicole: Right.
Derrick: And I hope that if you win HoH, you don't throw me up there.
Nicole:  No.  I wouldn't.

Moving right along...

Talking about Nicole staying and how to talk to her...  and what of Frankie trying to keep Donny?

Christine: So what if Frankie is able to convince people?  Are they gonna come after us, or are they still gonna go after Nicole and Victoria?
Cody: You talkin' about Frankie and Caleb?
Christine: mm hmm
Cody: They f'in better not.  I would be livid.
Christine: I would be so pissed off.
Cody: I would be livid.  You would probably find out before I would even come close to finding out about it..
Christine: ok
Cody: And I don't think they would come after you.  I think they would come after me.  I think Frankie, when he gets a chance, is gonna come after me.
Christine: Damn!

Cody: I think you're playing dumb...
Christine: I'm dead serious.  Cody, I have told you every time Frankie and I even have talked about game.  I told you every thing that was said.    Frankie has not mentioned your name at all.  He hasn't mentioned anybody in the Detonators.. Bomb Squad..
Cody: I think Frankie's just chillin' right now, and he's crazy paranoid.  I know that if I was HoH again, I would have to send Nicole home.
Christine: Yeah.
Cody: Like, period.  I think Frankie's gonna try to send her home, but if he fails, I think he would..  I don't't know.. I don't know what he would do.
Christine: The thing is, he could try, but you have voters.

CUT TO:

The instant Derrick and Nicole finish talking, he heads back to the bedrooms and runs into Frankie..

Derrick: She came inside as soon as I came inside.  She's good.  She's like, "listen, I know that Cody told me not to talk to anybody and that you guys are all voting to keep me.  I just wanna say, I appreciate your vote... and that anything you may have heard about me before I left..

Derrick: ..is not really true."  I said, I did hear some things.. I wasn't really happy with a lot of it.  And the fact that you hadn't talked to me up to this point was a little weird.  But, that being said, I do think people view Donny as a bigger target.  And I think the vote is gonna be pretty decisive.  I'm not gonna say who's votin' which way, but it'll be pretty apparent.  She's like, "ok, I wasn't gonna talk to anybody, but I felt nervous just relyin' on Cody," which I understand.  But.. be prepared to say something, because she did say she was gonna go to everyone.

Frankie:  I wonder if she'll actually come to me.
Derrick: I don't know, but she did say it.  Now that could be a complete f'in stroke job, but she just said it to me.. 2 seconds ago.

Frankie: What do you think?
Derrick: I think you're getting too much resistance on Donny.
**I concur.
Frankie:  I agree.
Derrick: And I don't want you to hurt yourself.
Frankie: I agree.
Derrick:  That's why I wanted to keep it more an open conversation that an opinion of Frankie.
Frankie:  Exactly.

Derrick: That's what I'm there for, buddy, and that's why I'm glad you did it, because I feel like there's a lot of this..
Frankie: At least we tried..
Derrick: Exactly. And you know what.. If it presents itself again, because of some type of paranoia that develops over the next day or 2..
Frankie:  Exactly..
Derrick: ..we take ahold of it.  But.. I don't want Frankie Grande to be the guy leadin' the charge.
Frankie: I think..
Derrick: It was perfect.  We left that conversation all feeling better about each other.
Frankie:  Exactly.
Derrick: And that wasn't the intent of the conversation, but that's how it went.

Caleb: We were in the kitchen, I was talkin to Victoria.  Nicole walked up and said, huh? I said, alright, I think Christine is jealous of you, because now you're back in the house,   and when you were gone, Chrisitine had Cody to herself.
Cody: hahaha
Caleb: Now, Cody is showin' her, you know what I mean?  Like, you're talkin' to Nicole a lot, and you're interacting with her.. I think Christine's gettin' jealous about it.  That's why Christine's not leavin' your side at all.  Due to that fact.  And she was like, "Yeah, I've kinda noticed that too." And I was like, it aint a big deal.. that's just how I see it.

Cody's taking it all in..

Caleb: And then Victoria was like, "yeah, when you left it wasn't as bad, but now that you're back in the house, she seems to not be letting Cody out of her sight at all."  And then she was like, yeah, kinda seems that way..  At the end of the day, (**drink!)  I think she would put Christine up.
Cody: I think so too.

Caleb: Now, who else would she put up?  I don't know.

Good night and Good Morning,

No doubt Donny is leaving this week. If you are one of the people who want to send money to Donny in the campaign started by a fan...

Know this:

Tammy Seaford ‏@SeafordTammy 7h
#dollars4donny is NOT approved by his family!!! They are asking that it be stopped!!

JackyStacky ‏@JackyStacky 9h
#dollars4donny is ABSURD there are actual charities to donate to instead of a guy who signed up for a game show that he's getting a stipend

Staci Morgan ‏@Stacilyn22 9h
Im gonna say it #dollars4donny is stupid If you don't win then you don't win He is too classy to accept the money anyway

Tammy Seaford ‏@SeafordTammy 7h
Donny's brother and nephew have posted on the #dollars4donny website and their posts were deleted.

This is from Donny's nephew: Chaz Hatley 3 mins ago Hi everyone, my name is Chaz and I am Donny's nephew. My family isn't big into social media, but they wanted me to let everyone here know that we do not support this fundraiser and we are positive that Donny would not either. So we all ask you please do not donate any money! The family has nothing at all to do with starting this fundraiser. Thanks to all his supporters. Go Donny!!!

I hate to say this but I feel like Derrick and Frankie considered keeping Donny because they are becoming aware of fan reaction. It's also possible that production is getting heat about this season being so predictable and they needed to televise at least an attempt at a vote flip.
As always, thanks for TOR and your tireless efforts Carolyn.
Have a great day dishers!

I'm saying it here first...I want Victoria to win HoH! She definitely won't get out my fave (Derrick), but he could convince her to shake up the house a bit, without putting blood on his hands!!!

Wouldn't that be interesting lol

Grendon,

Maybe Cody can't see the light because of all the rain...and he doesn't have a newspaper to cover his head!

On a personal note, even with the God awful haircut, I'd take Cody over Rocky any day of the week!

Good Morning!")

@Foofie

That is certainly an interesting perspective on the possible reason for keeping Donny.
It had crossed my mind too but then I think that it will come down to who they think has less chance at winning an endurance comp..which is coming.
Also I am sure Derrick is concerned at the one on one Nic and Vic are having lately.
They have known Donny must be a favorite of America as he along with them was chosen for AP.
But using Caleb's line " At the end of the day" They want to win 500k.
Anything is possible in BB house and there is a lot of time till Thursday… It will be interesting how this plays out. Who ever they decide to keep will not hesitate to put up a big player….and wouldn't that be fun that a big move came from one of them.
Have a great Tuesday!

To avoid the heat that production is feeling, they should've launched a backdoor Christine or Frankie campaign before the Veto ceremony. People love Donny. People love Nicole. Surely they would know that people are not at all loving many of the other hg's and stepped in while Cody could've still been swayed to use the Veto. I hope Nicole wins hoh on Thursday and nominates Frankie and Derrick. If turn the feeds back on to watch that go down!!

I confess I am a Derrick fan.

At the beginning of the season I thought that I wouldn't like Derrick. Simply based on my initial impression of the chubby-faced, piggy nosed cop. I thought he would be arrogant, obnoxious, and a terrible gamer. But then I watched him interact with all of the different houseguests and day by day he won me over. People in the house naturally gravitated to him for advice and comfort. To my utter shock whenever someone asked him for game advice he actually gave them good advice for their individual game. He didn't give them advice that was really in his best interest only disguised as something good for them, he gave each person the advice that was best for them. It was amazing to watch. He did this over and over again.

It got even better when I watched him be the go-to-guy for emotional support when someone was feeling homesick or insecure over something. He always has the time and knows the right things to say to help whoever it is to get over whatever it is and feel OK again. Some fans turned on Derrick after the night in the HOH room with the confrontation involving Victoria & Zach. When Victoria started to cry everyone thought that Derrick should have rushed to her side to comfort her...I did too at first...but then I thought about it and understood why he didn't from both a game standpoint as well as a personal standpoint. When she started crying I thought about it and realized that it was the 5th time she had cried in the last 24 hours - that I saw on the feeds...were there other bouts of tears that I didn't see? You can only comfort someone who uses tears so frequently so many times before it gets old. From a game standpoint Derrick's objectives were multi-faceted. For one thing he needed Victoria to realize she had in a way betrayed him. She believed someone who had already lied about so many things, so many times and if that wasn't bad enough then she went to Nicole and repeated everything possibly harming his game. She shouldn't have done that. She should have gone to him directly and discussed it like she does constantly with all her personal matters. Another objective was to let Zach and everyone else know that he wouldn't sit idle and allow someone to throw him under the bus. Finally, he needed to get out of a jam and re-direct attention away from himself. It worked beautifully.

Derrick has played this game better than any one in the house. He has worked 24/7 playing this game, IMO no other HG has worked anywhere near as hard as he has. Some fans say he is a control freak and he runs everything in the house...well, guess what? That's how you win this game. It's true that Derrick's hand is in everything that goes on in the house from nominations to evictions but he didn't just wake up one day and everyone decided to let him do that - he has worked his ass off to get there. Nothing has been given to him...he works for it constantly. Does it get boring for the viewers for one person to have so much control of everything? Absolutely. Is it an easy task to get yourself in that position? Hell no.

Derrick has played a brilliant game so far (and yes, he has made mistakes along the way) and he deserves to be where he is now. I am one of those fans who appreciates really good game play. The fact that I have observed him being a really nice guy too is icing on the cake. One last thing.....now that I have gotten to know and like him...he's turned out to be a really cute guy!

Derrick is in a lose lose situation. I'm pretty sure both Nicole & Donny are coming for him and only him.
I was shocked at how badly the houseguests did at the HOH comp. Why didn't they have their days memorized?? Get your head in the game people!!

I just checked the GoFundMe page for Donny and they have only raised $1,355 so far. I believe this campaign was started in reaction to the very real possibility that Frankie will get America's Favorite (if he's not Final 2) because of his sister. I have not donated and don't intend to, but if Donny doesn't want the money he can give it to charity. Frankie is definitely not America's Favorite; however, he has fought hard to stay in the game and if he makes it to the end more power to him.

The save Donny campaign seems to have wound down. Donny hasn't played the best game, but he has definitely displayed the most heart. He will definitely be remembered. Maybe he can do commercials for AARP when he gets home. Ha ha, I kid.

Who the HE!! do Frankie and Caleb think they are?

If Nicole wins HOH they are basically going to threaten her. She can't play in the following HOH so if she doesn't put Victoria and Christine up, one of them will win and send Nicole home. If she does put them up, she will
get another week.

#1-They can't guarantee her that week. If Donny goes home this week and Nicole wins and sends home Victoria or Christine, they are down to 6 people. If they targeted Victoria or Christine, who is going to volunteer as a pawn? And if, by some slight chance, Victoria/Christine won POV, are the guys seriously going to sacrifice one of their own to give Nicole one more week and let her get into the final 5? Heck no. Nicole should not believe the lies and should not tolerate being threatened.

#2-Who cares about getting one more week. Even at that point Nicole would have to win every HOH/POV or go home. She made jury. All of the people who end up in jury and don't make F2 will make the same amount of money.

Nicole's only option to stay in the house is to win every comp, so if she has the chance to take out anyone before she goes, why wouldn't she take out the biggest player she could?

I already know that if Nicole stays, wins HOH and puts up 2 guys, they are going to come at her hard. It's going to be relentless, intimidating, threatening and downright nasty.

And there you have one of the problems with this season and the main reason that Derrick will NEVER be Dan. I wasn't even happy with Dan by the end of season 14. But Dan never forgot it was a game. His funeral was a game move. 'You have me in check-let me figure out how to put you in checkmate.' Even when backed into a corner, pushed and called names, Dan used strategy. He never used intimidation. He never used threats. And, to the best of my recollection, he NEVER called a woman a bitch.

Good Morning Carolyn (sorry that I forgot to say that last time)

I think it's funny that Victoria and Nicole are getting closer and Christine is the outsider now. I'm sure it doesn't bother her right now because her game has been based on being one of the boys. She said at the beginning that she wanted to be the last female left.

I wonder how she will feel when she realizes that, as much as she personally wants Donny out, not only is it not the best move for her, the guys have their own reasons for wanting to keep Nicole.

The guys know that if Donny stays and wins HOH, he will most likely nominate 2 of them and still have 2 left if he needs a renom. They think if Nicole stays and wins HOH they can convince her to nominate Christine and Victoria. Guess who the target would be in that case? I'll give you a clue. It starts with C and rhymes with pristine.

It served Christine well to surround herself with guys believing it would give her a better chance of winning the game. They have her back about the same way she had Nicole's a couple weeks ago. You know, with a knife in it.

So...if Nicole stays and wins HOH, the predictability may come to an end. And maybe I could start getting excited again. Right now I am thinking I would like a Nicole/Victoria final
2. That's a duo I could root for. (And something I NEVER thought I would say.) Hayden or Donny for the favorite player prize. That could be an amazing end to a lackluster season.

@Ryder and Lulu...welcome to the Derrick train! There are not a lot of us in here so I'm glad to have you. I don't understand the Derrick hate and I hope he wins the $500,000.

Hello bbdish world!
I am not getting my hopes up for an eviction surprise because it always seems to be motivated by production and the editing staff. Week after week with a little exception, production primes the cameras to make it look as if there will be independent voters and then it is # - 0 almost everytime!!

We have been waiting all season for an endurance comp. Think it'll finally come?

I do think that Nicole has the better chance to win an endurance comp. Who knows who she would put up.

She has been making nice-nice with everyone and, I think, only talked honestly with Donny.

I don't see much hope in changing Derrick's mind on who to vote out, they will probably end up with another unanimous vote. :-(

Ryder-Bravo for the nice comments on Derrick and his game. He has been amazing to watch throughout the whole thing. Frankie is our "glitter" so some folks don't really pay attention to how Derrick is handling each and every one of these kids in the house...Woohoo Derrick go for it!

I've only been watching BB for a few years and so I didn't meet Dan until season 14. I wasn't a fan of his, but I had to admit that his game play was masterful. As far as a strategy goes it was amazing. The whole Dan funeral thing was a piece of ART! Beaten down, backed into a corner and somehow he pulled it off! So I totally agree with you - he never forgot for a single second that it was a GAME and his every move was based on strategy. He didn't threaten or name call. He did deserve to win season 14 based on his game play but Ian was so danged likable that Dan just could not overcome that.

After what she's experienced in the house so far, Nicole should expect to be blindsided yet again.

So it's about 5:30 and they are doing the ice bucket challenge. I thought they are not to know about what's going on outside of the house? I guess this year it's pick and choose.

Finally! Thanks Ryder for "coming out of the closet"!! ;)"

You've just said everything I've been trying to say, except I said it all in pieces... plus was kinda scary this year to step up and say who you were for, if it was Derrick. I did say "Team Derrick!!" a few times, but... it is what it is, I guess.

Thanks for putting it out there in a very good perspective. The only thing different with me wss that I picked him on week 2, could not wait to see an undercover agent work that magic!

Peace & Love,
Pam

Derrick "sealed his fate" Re:Donny leaving and keeping Nicole. This comes after a night of long talks between Derrick and Nicole and a bury the hatchet session between Frankie and Nicole. Everyone is good with Nicole again and looking to work with/use her to get further along.

Derrick and Caleb want Christine out and feel Nicole can win and do that. Frankie and Christine still want her out next week. Haven't seen enough of Cody tonight to know what he thinks.

Derrick enters HOH, finds Cody sleeping.
Cody:I don't want Frankie winning HOH this week.
Derrick:What bothers you.
Cody:He's a scumbag.

Cody's talking tough again. Will it come to anything. Probably not. Cody tells Derrick he didn't use the POV on Donny and put up Frankie because he was watching Derricks back. At the same time we are back where we were when Nicole was HOH. C/D vs. F/C feuding it out. Derrick and Cody talk shit about Christine and then she comes up. Derrick runs into the bathroom and Cody pretends he's sleeping and listening to music. Cody shovels crap at Christine. Now Frankie is here again. Anything up there now is all bs.

Nicole and Donny are on cams 1/2 at 9:11pm walking the backyard.

@Shi Shi, YaY! I wasn't sure yiu were on the train as well, but with yhe death and famimy drama, I was gone a lot and missed a ton of comments!

I'm a little worried about if Nic gets HOH, as she did tell Donny at the table, the night she came back in, that she is putting up Derrick and Cody for sure if she wins HoH!
Has that changed? If she pulls it off and if Derrick cannot see this, it's gonna be really bad for Team Derrick!! :(

@Ryder - I was a Derrick fan as well. I'm not really one anymore.

And, you're right, it was the Nicole/Vic confrontation that sealed the deal for me that he was mostly not a nice player. Maybe a nice person outside the house, but as a player he was crossing a line that I don't believe ever needs crossing even in this game.

I don't agree that Victoria should have gone to Derrick first. She has the right to play her own game as much as anyone. She has a right to discuss game play with anyone! She is not Derrick's pet or Derrick's property even though he seems to believe that is their relationship.

Cody and Derrick are a true alliance and they don't pass everything by each other all the time. They still manage to play their own games while discussing game play with others. Derrick and Victoria aren't even in a real alliance and Derrick is playing her hard. Only Vic thinks they have a true alliance. So for him to make her feel guilty and ashamed for betraying HIM is beneath fair game play, IMO.

Derrick was the one lying about The Detonators. His game was about to get exposed and, therefore, he used tactics to correct his game by deflecting blame onto Nicole and Victoria for something he did. Notice all he did to Zack once Zack confessed was to say essentially "Okay, we're good" and left it at that. Why so strong armed with the women who were the innocent parties in all this? Because, IMO, Derrick feels he can dominate and control any woman he wants, but his bros are more his equal and, therefore, he allows them more respect.

What I saw in that HOH room was victim blaming, mind control and Derrick going overboard in order to regain control. Some may say Derrick had a right to protect his game, but the method he employed to do that was horrible.

It was fairly disgusting for me to watch honestly.

It had nothing to do with Derrick not rushing to her side when she cried, and everything to do with how he verbally abused her until she was a sobbing mess. He messed with her mind and emotions and spoke so forcefully AT her that she was unable to speak her own mind at all. In the end, he made her feel guilty of "betrayal" because he knew HE was the one who had betrayed her and he couldn't allow that to be seen.

He basically tried to do the same to Nicole and she, for the most part, was also victim blamed and ended up saying sorry to him for doing absolutely nothing and thanking him for believing her. How messed up is that when the innocent parties apologize to the person actually guilty of the crime? Some say great game play; I say unnecessary strong arming tactics.

He has also shown his true colors by calling all the women in the house "bitches" at some point (usually when he's being backed into a corner in the game and he looks like he's losing control). However, calling women names is never necessary no matter how stressed you are. And just his general game play where women are concerned, as if they had no right to have game play and they should all defer to him as the alpha male, has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I know I will receive some flak for using some trigger words like "abuse" in this post, but I truly feel what I saw warrants such strong language. Maybe it's just because I am a woman and know how it feels to be verbally abused by someone who is controlling, and I know others don't see it at all, but this is what it appeared happened to me which is why I am no longer on Team Derrick.

Everyone, of course, sees situations differently and has the right to be Team Derrick 100%. I just can't be one of them.

Oh, also, regarding the attempt to flip the vote for Donny, I also think it was mostly for TV purposes. They always have to have evidence of some suspense - will they won't they - before an eviction vote. If there had been no talk of flipping, there would be no footage to support that tired BB trope.

TOR stands for The Overnight Report. Fishies refers to when the live feed is down (they show the fish tank when that happens).

Damnskippy, (I doubt you will see this and I will try to say it again if I can find a spot so pardon my redundancy...)

That was absolutely the very best most flawless explanation of what was wrong with Derrick's behavior the night in the HOH that I have ever read!

I can never say it so well. It is partly the fact he KNEW he was guilty so that we know his anger was feigned and just to manipulate the women. And the way he used fear--Vic has said she does not want to talk game with anyone bc "SHE IS SCARED WHAT DERRICK MIGHT DO!" In other words, he has frightened her out of playing the game.

THAT is bullying. It may not be the kind where a child is frightened some big kid is going to physically manhandle him, but it is bullying bc someone is afraid to act freely bc they fear another. BBUK warned a women she could be ejected from the house bc she did the same to grown men. Sometimes the sizes are reversed, sometimes it's just in a game, but the toll on the human heart and soul is the same. FEAR.

Derrick's behavior apparently goes right over the heads of most men watching, and many women. But there are serious gender issues involved. He does think women are there to be used. Just watch the conversations he has with men vs women.

With women, talk invariably consists of a tiny meet and greet (for ex, "Whew! That was some comp we just had!" and then perhaps a comment about the winner or why he didn't play as well as he wanted to--pure game since we know he throws many comps.... Then he invariably brings up missing his daughter and perhaps his wife. Pure game manipulation. He will go on and on about how his daughter changed his life. Did it to Christine Wed night again. He never spends any noticeable time taking small talk. Never talks about fishing, movies, even his family other that his wife and daughter.

But with the guys, it's lots of small talk. And game strategy. But even with Christine, he never talks strategy. And with Vic, the strategy is just making sure she will obediently do what is best for his game. Listen to the different conversations he has with the 2 genders. It shows a deep-rooted sexism that has affected his entire gameplay and social interaction. And bc of his position in the house, the game and existence of every person there.

When he gets angry or feels the absolute guarantee he will win is threatened in any way, he will become extremely controlling and even abusive. How dare a woman think she has a right to play her own game, possibly harm his game..... How dare she talk with anyone in his alliance?

And TY, damnskippy, for explaining the HOH room debacle so well!
