Julie's EXACT Words on Big Brother Rewind & the New CBS Schedule

As you know, Frankie won the HoH after the Double Eviction Live Show, and the Rewind Button has already been pushed.  To avoid guessing and speculation, here is precisely what Julie said about pushing the button.

Julie: Nicole and Christine may be out of the game, but next week's nominees may not suffer the same fate.  It all depends what happens with this button.  It's the next big twist of the summer, and it's called "The Big Brother Rewind."

Julie: If that button is pushed in the coming days, then next week's live vote will stop, live on the air, the 2 nominees will immediately come off the block, the game will rewind, and the entire week will be re-played.

Julie: That means next week's nominees could go from being on the block to becoming Head of Household.  It's a week you do not want to miss, as we are full steam ahead to the finale.

Julie: Tune in Sunday to find out who will be the new Head of Household, to see this Big Brother Rewind Twist unleashed on the House Guests, and to witness the return of Big Brother legends Jeff and Jordan for a surprise announcement.

Julie: Then, to make way for the NFL on CBS, we are changing our schedule for the rest of the season.  The Power of Veto will be back up for grabs on a new day:  Tuesday at 8, 7 central.

Julie: Then the next Live Eviction is also moving to a new day and time, next Wednesday at 8, 7 central.  Will another house guest be evicted, or will the game stop, dead in it's tracks?  That depends on whether the Big Brother Rewind button is pushed. It all happens live, next Wednesday.

For me, a couple of questions do remain.  If the game is rewinding, will Derrick be eligible to play for HoH?  As outgoing HoH who just had his entire week nullified, will Frankie be eligible to play for HoH?

Truly, I'm not expecting answers to these questions until the Live Show on Wednesday Night.  I think the plan is to drive everyone crazy with those questions until the last possible moment.

An interesting aside, since Christine was present by Julie's side for all of the #BBRewind information, we can expect the info to travel immediately to the jury house.

On the plus side:  Since Frankie won the HoH, this does completely nullify the pre-theories I saw floating around that the twist was created to save Frankie.. As per usual, there are no conspiracies.  Production does not care who wins.  They're just looking forward to sleeping in, sleeping long and sleeping hard on September 25th.  Me too.

If you'd like to watch for yourself, here's a link to the Double Eviction episode.  Julie's comments about the #BBRewind begin at 40:40.

I agree... about all of what you said and that we will find out on Wednesday. It's back to scratch... hoping for a Victoria win next Wednesday. LOL

I am really curious how they will be able to get rid off all these HGs during the time left with no eviction next Wednesday. Could they do a DE from 5 to 3 players? Insane.

I also noticed Christine there with all the info coming our way. The jury will know.

I have been reading tweets all night. And this tweet by Joan Rivers from earlier this summer, regarding Big Brother is just WOW...

Two Big Brother contestants have had grandparents die this season. I’m a little upset... Cooper just submitted an audition tape.

Given her choice of words I think we can infer that it's as if this week never happened. While I would prefer that EVERYONE could participate in the new HOH comp next Wednesday, I fear that Derrick will be ineligible. She said rewind not reset. Just my two cents. Maybe next week Frankie doesn't win again.
Happy day dishers and thanks to dear Caro and Lessa for keeping me in the loop!

Wasn't there another season that the rewind button was used.. I can see it happening.. in the DR but I can't remember when...

Julie does not say that there won't be an eviction on Wednesday's show (does she?). So the week could be replayed within the hour-long show, culminating in an eviction vis-à-vis a Double Eviction episode.

Caroline, thanks for all you do. Long-time lurker; new poster. :)

So many conspiracy theories. They would sound less insane if at least they were somewhat consistent.

First 'fans' were convinced that 'Production' designed the game for Frankie to win, then it was for Donny, then Derrick, then Nicole, and now we are back to Frankie.

Maybe they will reply this whole week in one night Wednesday to keep things going time wise.

I don't see any mention of who pushed the button, production, a cast member? I remember BB14 they had a re-set button when they were coaches and a member of the house had to push it. Anyone know who pushed the rewind button? I'm thinking production but it's never mentioned.

Julie had a twitter comment that explained rewind a bit more, she did say all houseguest will be playing for HOH. Good for Derrick if true and unfortunately good for Frankie too.

Lisa, I think they all pushed the button together--all the HGs. Some were insistent it be pressed--Frankie, Caleb. They all surrounded it and did it together? There are photos everywhere.

Since it is called a "rewind" instead of a "reset" it implies to me that it goes back to when it was pressed. But then Frankie was already HOH. Just the nominations would be undone.

As for the idea it was to make sure Frankie was saved--they had no way of knowing he'd be HOH when they built the twist. If anything, everyone thought he'd win the DE HOH (he's been winning everything and said he wanted to win that one, but then everyone missed it but Derrick) and not be able to play on the HOH later that night?
