The Overnight Report

Good morning, BB Lovers!  Happy Friday to you!   It's Nominations Day in the Big Brother 16 House, and as it stands right now, I believe the noms will be Cody and Victoria, but first...

Holy moly, what a night on the live feeds! If you went to bed before the 2nd HoH of the night was played, you've got some catching up to do, and we've got you covered.

Here are the posts from after the show til 12:30am BBT: Ze Button and 2nd HoH Spoiler, HoH Reveal: Derrick's Basket, Mystery Returned Pic and Letter, and last but not least, Julie's Exact Words about #BBRewind, just in case you want to be 100% sure about what she said.  I did!

In a nutshell, Frankie won the 2nd HoH of the night, and after very little hesitation, they pushed the Rewind Button.  What this means is that during the Live Show Wednesday night, Frankie's whole week is gonna be a wash.  Per Julie, the "live vote will stop, live on the air, the 2 nominees will immediately come off the block, the game will rewind, and the entire week will be re-played. "  Will Frankie be able to play for HoH?  I don't know.  Will Derrick be able to play?  Again, I don't know. That isn't crystal clear from what Julie said, and I expect speculation about it to permeate the BBSphere until Wednesday night during the live show when they tell us and end the suspense..

Next, in addition to his letter and basket, Derrick received a picture that he immediately returned to the DR.  He claimed that it was because of poor photo quality..  I'm not buying that.  I'm also not buying initial speculation that the picture must have shown him as a police officer, or later that it showed his daughter wearing a police cap.   There is a very blurry blown up pic with no visible detail being used as proof, but I just can't see BB blowing up Derrick's game like that.  They kept Frankie's secret a secret, until HE decided to reveal it to everyone. I believe they'd show Derrick the same courtesy.  Perhaps he'll let us know himself.  I'll also be reaching out to Jana, Derrick's wife, to see if we can solve the mystery.

OK.. Let's dive in and get this Overnight Report going!☺  We'll begin just before Frankie's HoH Reveal..

Watch this on flashback - It's the best Holla Evah!☺

Zach: Hollaaa! Fruit Loop Dingus!
Caleb/Derrick/Frankie: Ahh!!!!!!
Caleb: That was Zach!
Derrick: That was Zach!
Frankie: Holy Shit!! Ohh!!!
Frankie: Oh Zach!!
Cody: Dude, that was awesome!
Frankie: Oh my God. (to BB)  Again!
Derrick: That as definitely him or someone immitating him.
Victoria: That was Zach!!

Derrick: I hope we get all the jury.. Donny?
Frankie: (does Donny's voice) Holler fer..
Caleb: Holler atcher boiee.

And so on.... Watch this on flashback.  It's delicious. :)

1:49am
Fire Room
Derrick, Cody, Caleb, Victoria

They're very excited about the coming PoV comps and wondering who will get brought in to host.

Caleb: In this game, if you win you win, but it doesn't mean the world liked you the best.  Like in Andy's case?  He was nowhere near the best player.   Nowhere near a good player in that game.
Cody: yeah.
Caleb:  You know what I mean?  He just happened to win.
**Since we know Caleb defines "good game play" exclusively by comp wins, his assessment makes perfect sense.. to him.

Caleb: But, when it comes to playin' Big Brother, they're probably not gonna ask him to play again.  You know what I mean?
Derrick: Depends, if there's like a champions game, then they would..
Caleb: But, like, Boogie, he didn't win, and they called him back.  When did he go out?
**um.. yes he did. Boogie won AllStars.
Cody: He went out 4th.
Caleb: Jeff didn't win the 1st time he played, and they called him back.
**Or the 2nd.. and they've made a franchise out of him.

Derrick: He went out 4th the first time.  I know what you're sayin'.  He (Boogie) ended up winnin' AllStars.
Caleb: What's that?
Derrick: He won AllStars.
Caleb: Yeah.. but if you're just like.. Honestly, Frankie could come back to play.  He's at like 9 wins.
**lmao at his BB Barometer.
Derrick: yeah.
Cody: But Janelle didn't get far at all the one time she was in, but didn't she have like the record for wins?
**Final 3, twice!
Derrick: He just beat that.
Caleb: Because of the BoB.
Cody: Yeah, I think the record is like slanted.
Derrick: It's definitely skewed.  There's no doubt it's skewed..
Cody: With 2 HoHs every week and a BoB and a Veto, it's skewed 100%.
Derrick: I honestly think only the ones where he's left as HoH will count.  This is his 3rd HoH, and how many PoVs?  2?
Cody: Yeah, the ones where you stay HoH, that's what'll count.

1:51am
Skippy flips camera 1 to the DR Door.. it's time for Frankie's HoH Reveal..

Frankie: Who wants to see my HoH Room?!!!!!!!

Everyone comes out in a hurry.  Caleb gives Frankie a big hug, and they all head up the stairs to see Frankie's HoH..

Caleb: Hey, where's Nicole and Christine?
Frankie: Nicole and Christine!! Ah haaaaaa!!

They all enter and Frankie begins screaming about something immediately.

Frankie: Oh my God, that's Lauren.  Look!  She's making such a stupid face.  I love her.

Then he moves on to the next thing to scream about.. while everyone huddles around Lorens' picture.

Frankie: Ahh! I love it! I love this picture!!!!
Caleb: You've got a blue blazer on in this picture.
Frankie: Yes.  That's Lauren.  She's my roommate.  She's a little  firecracker.  She's a dancer at The Box and a circus performer and like...
Caleb: Look, your boy done hooked you up with another blazer.

Frankie: Look! This is Fire island.  That's where I l... That's where I'm happy.
**aww.

Frankie puts on the blazer..

Frankie: Lon.. Oh my God.. And Pants!!
Caleb: And pants?  Your boy's gonna have to hook me up.
Victoria: Ohh, a suit!
Cody: That's custom made too, right?
Frankie: Yeah. I already had this.  He just sent it to me.

Frankie is equally excited about condiments and the rest of the items he notices in his basket.

Frankie: Oh my God!  Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard!  Makeup!!! More skin care products! This is awesome!
Cody: You got a bunch of tofu, hummus, guac...
Frankie: H n M??  Oh my God! LAUREN!!!! I Love you!!!
Derrick: You look so different in that picture.
Frankie: I'm so happy right now!

Frankie: Oh!! I got my sister's album!! (he jumps up and down)
Caleb: Letter

Frankie moves on to his basket, which is filled with treats he likes.  Veggie Sticks, Quinoa, Fig Newtons, Skittles..

Frankie: Oh my God.. So many skittles.  Good thing, cuz he have noms tomorrow.
Caleb: hahaha
Frankie: Heh heh..

Caleb: Read the letter!
Frankie: ok, I'm sorry.

Frankie takes a deep, dramatic breath..
Then opens it..

Frankie: (overflowing with happiness) My friends..
Caleb: Your friends?
Frankie: Yeah.
Frankie: It's from Strigs..

Frankie, Frank Boudunkis..

Frankie, my love, I am so ecstatic watching you.  Tough times never last, but tough people do. So keep strong, as you are.  And keep it light, because nothing is ever too serious.

I hope you realize what a life changing role you have in this world and have had to everyone around you.  Everything I touch, I break. Wine glasses, hearts, my body..

All: hahahaha!

Everything and everyone you touch, you change.

Frankie: Oh my God, Lauren, "everything I touch, I break.  wine glasses, hearts, my body"

You are a true honest person with a fierce force not to be reckoned with.  Just know that your spirit and your journey through life will open everyone's eyes and minds to become a better person and push themselves to be as inspiring as you.

It just isn't the same without you, but you know I'm striggy shufflin' around with the same ridiculous energy we emit.

Frankie: Good girl.

Isn't it fun eating, drinking and sleeping with a whole new random group of people?  It must be challenging, but it makes me smile.  You are irreplaceable.  Keep shining bright, babe, and I will see you when you are back, so I can give you the biggest strigs hug ever.

I love you so much.  I miss your face and  insanity EVERY NIGHT!!!

Love and Light,

Lauren Strigs
Frankie: Oh my God.. That was awesome.  I love her so much.
Cody: Is she one of your roommates?
Frankie: Yeah, she's the little crazy one.  I call her Strigs, because that's her last name.

CUT TO:
2:40am
Quad
HoH Room
All of the HGs are talking about Christine getting loudly booed..

Derrick: That was brutal.
Caleb: That poor girl. "BOOO!"
Derrick:  You go out there, they're all around you, then you gotta interview f'in in front of em.. I mean, that's a representation of 11 million people.
Victoria: Gahhhhd..
Caleb: Literally.  9 to 11 million people watching that live, seeing her getting booed like that.   That's crazy, man.  If I get booed, I'm walkin' back in the house.
Victoria: haha
Cody: Haha! You aint kickin me out!
Caleb: Nah.. You ain't booin' in front of me.. (makes a ninja noise) I'm my own person.  Somebody else gotta go. I'ma go out the Storage Room.
Victoria: haa!
Caleb: I'ma go out the storage, the back way, talk to Julie in the mornin' when there ain't nobody out there.  Catch me on the flipside.

Cody gets up from the couch.. and walks out to the HoH landing for a moment.

Caleb: He's gonna re-enact it.  Here we go..

Cody opens the door.

Cody: Boo!!!

Cody closes the door and turns around.

Cody: Walk my ass right back in the house.

Caleb does his own reenactment of how he'd handle the booing.  First it's a retreat back into the house, and then..

Caleb: How bout this, guys?  I'll just go eff myself!

CUT TO:
3:50am
Cam 3 and 4
Living Room
Caleb and Derrick

Derrick: If Cody goes on that block tomorrow, which is what I'm thinking, based on what you said..
Caleb: I do too.
Derrick: ..unless Frankie changes his mind.
**lol.. Frankie has such black widow intent. Man. First Zach, now Cody.

Caleb: I don't think he is (changing his mind).
Derrick: But we've had his back the whole game, so..
Caleb: The only time I didn't have his back was when I found out he lied to be about all that stuff..
Derrick: But you guys already squashed that.
**Loving the convenient and collective amnesia here, since Frankie was Derrick's just in case backdoor plan tonight, and Caleb well knows it and was game for it.

Derrick: That doesn't mean Cody ain't gonna win the Veto.
Caleb: If he does..
Derrick: We're goin' up.  One of us.

And.. it just doesn't matter.. Because the Rewind Button has already been pushed and no matter who goes on the block or stays on the block this week, whoever's up there on Wednesday night is coming down, not going to jury.. at least not without another crack at another HoH comp and another PoV Comp.   What DOES matter quite a lot is how well they keep their games and relationships intact over the next several days.

CUT TO:
4:28am
Frankie, Derrick, Caleb
Frankie fills them in..  I believe this will be the last section of Today's Overnight Report..

Frankie: Essentially I told him that uh.. hehehehe..
Frankie: ...hehehe..that neither of you could handle the emotional burden of going up on the block.  ::snort::
Derrick: Oh my God.. That's how you put it?  you said we couldn't handle it?
Frankie: Essentially.
Derrick: Did you crush me?
Frankie: no
Derrick: You so did.
Frankie: No.
Derrick: Alright, well lemme ask you this..
Frankie: I didn't confirm anything.  Nothing can be confirmed.
Derrick: But did you tell him there's a chance?  Does he know he's goin' on the block, essentially, without knowing?
Frankie: I.. without knowing.
Derrick: Ok, so,  if he comes to me and says, "Did Frankie say anything to you about potential.."
Frankie: Just say that he said,
Derrick: He had talked to you..
Frankie: I talked to you about the fact that you have never been nominated before.
Derrick: Right.

Frankie: That was the thing.. and that's it.  And that I spoke to Caleb about the fact that he, you both have kept me safe 3 times.
Derrick: SO if he says to me, "Frankie kinda indirectly.. I think I'm goin' up," I can kinda say "yeah, I kinda got that hint too," or no?

Derrick: I don't wanna push the conversation that wasn't there.
Frankie: Yeah, that makes sense.
Derrick: Like was that what the understanding was, or?  Cuz probably tonight when we're in the Fire Room, he's gonna go, "Frankie kinda told me.  I think I'm goin' up."  I don't wanna be like, "Oh Really?!"
Frankie: No, just be like..
Derrick: I can say, "yeah, he did talk to me.  He said that I had never been on the block before, but he did also say that I had kept him safe and he appreciated that. And that, whatever he did, he hopes that we respect it."
Frankie: Yeah, exactly.  And that basically, the decision, and I will say this to all of you.  I was like, "This is not a decision based on anything for the future."  I'm not betting that he's not gonna win next HoH.
Derrick: Right.
Frankie: I'm not betting that you are gonna win.. or you.. or that you're definitely gonna keep me safe.  But he's definitely gonna keep me safe, cuz in essence, I'm on the block next week, because only the HoH is safe (at final 4).

But... Rewind Button.. ;-)

And this concludes the Overnight Report.  I'll see YOU when BB wakes the HGs.

Good Morning.
What's the over/under on Frankie winning out the rest of the comps, either HOH or POV?

With Frankie's HOH being reset that does, I think, give the best shot to get him out.

Of the remaining houseguests I think Frankie may be the only one who would take out Derrick.

If no one goes home Wednesday, which is what it seems with the reset, will they need another double eviction?

I hate hate hate production meddling in the game this late.

It is not fair on the houseguests and to me makes me not want to watch the show.

I find it funny that people are happy about this twist only cause Frankie is HOH.. yet if Zach, Nicole or Donny were in the game and HOH it would be the worst thing ever.

Especially this late in the game. The HOH could put up 3 out of the 5 people this week and then to have it all gone away.

I for one this week would have been excited to see who Derrick chooses to keep: Victoria or Cody. It would have actually made for an interesting week/eviction to see Derrick possibly try to vote Cody out.

With the Rewind Button, it's not clear - or maybe I'm not clear - will anyone be evicted on Wednesday or will everyone stay until the following week evictions?

Good morning

I wasn't here for the viewing party so I was
just catching up on last night's post. I was glad that not everyone was cheering for Christine's boos. I thought it was disgusting. They never allowed that before Aaryn and then, it was because she said things that were offensive to entire groups of people and not just her fellow HGS. What has Christine done so much worse than anyone else? Mean girl? Many-think Monet. Going after fan favorites? Always happens-think Shelley Moore. Nobody approved of what she did with Cody but she is out of the house now. There is a lot of healing to do and 'at the end of the day' it's none of our damn business.

When these HGs leave they have to decompress. There is a reason that BB keeps a psychologist on hand. To have to walk out to that kind of hatred and not even be sure why-her head has to be spinning in a hundred different directions.

Yes, I come to this site and make judgements, complain and have HGs I don't like. Then the show ends and I move on with my life. So, is changing the rules for the audience BBs way of giving the fans a final chance to let HGs know what we thought of their game? I think it's just another sick way of being entertained by someone else's pain and I find it disgusting.

Based on last night, Caleb should get boos. Just because he mellowed out does not negate what he did to Amber. And what about Cody? He is as guilty as Christine. Even Derrick has haters. And then there is Frankie. His boos should be off the chart. What if Ariana's in the audience again?

It's just not fun to watch someone squirm like that and be humiliated when the truth is, she hasn't done anything to hurt any of us or to change our lives.

As for the button conspiracy......to save Frankie.......because of Ariana's fans. Well how did that work out? If that was their goal they would have waited to find out who won HOH. And my friend follows Ariana and told me she hasn't been tweeting much about BB since Frankie's popularity has taken a nose dive.

Good morning, Jerry!☺ I don't know.. He certainly is quite the comp beast..As far as another double, I don't think so.. remember they tend to go from 5 to 3 very quickly, in condensed weeks, and 3 stay in the house til finale night now usually..

Good morning, Seasons! :)) When people first saw the button they were positive it was production's way of saving Frankie.. conspiracies theories left and right.. the truth is this - there is always something thrown in this time of the season - mostly because they need to fill the airtime with something, shake em up and keep things interesting. Ultimately, this may not actually harm anyone. We don't know what the parameters of the next HoH comp are for play..

Good morning, Carla! :) It's unclear to me as well, but I think we'll have all 5 in the house for another full week.. Remember, origially, the show was scheduled to wrap on Sept 17th. With the week extension, they needed to figure out how to keep the bodies in there another week.

Good morning, Grendon! :)) Not a Christine fan at all, and I was appalled at the boos.. Just horrid, classless behavior.. I tweeted as much. Also, I feel protective of the HGs.. They've been in a bubble, and to reemerge to hatred like that? Not cool.. People forget they are PEOPLE.

I believe even with the reset button pushed someone will go home on Wednesday. They will just start over, so it will be fast comps (hoh & veto) like we see on double eviction nights. But only one will go home.
I love that Frankie reset his own hoh..lol!
I agree with Grendon, people may not like Christine but if I was her last night I would have been bawling! Poor girl, very awkward!

The rewind button conspiracy should be put to rest. Production on this show takes months to plan and while they may leave themselves options for game twists, it's not like they sat back and said, "How can we save Frankie this week?" People don't realize how much work goes into planning these twists and designing competitions. While I have no doubt production tries to influence the game, it's through DR scripts and the like, not by planning twists with a single HG in mind.

Having said all that, I agree with a previous poster who said this rewind is way too late in the game. I appreciate shaking things up but I'm only happy the button is there this week because Frankie is HOH. This would have been better 3 or 4 evictions ago. It will be interesting to see how it plays out but I wish they had done it sooner.

Oh boy. I agree 100% Carolyn and Grendon. It is no secret that I am not a Christine fan but I thought the boos were unnecessarily harsh. My heart goes out to her. I said a prayer for her then and again this morning. I hope she is ok. :-(

I saw on Twitter a photo of Derrick in the SR talking to Frankie and Derrick said, "I'm worried this (button) will say you're dethroned".!!!!

Now, of course the "I'm worried" part is not true, but I am just in awe of Derrick's knowledge of the game, he is the only one thinking that it could be a bad thing, I could be wrong on that, for I've only seen bits and pieces of them talking about the button.
Caleb kills me with the "it could be 10K for each of us!" or this one "It could be a Super Luxury Comp!" Good grief Caleb!

Where are my manners?! I am so sorry... I forgot to say good morning!

Mornin' Carolyn! Isn't "Photogate" just the strangest?? I cannot wait to read what you find out and btw, love the word, "Photgate" perfect!

Mornin' Jerry! Hope all is well with you :)

Mornin' Alisha and Thanks so much for that heads up, I cannot wait to hear it!

Mornin 'Grendon! I agree and I was so shocked, and the look on Christine's face, looked like she was physically ill. I hope they let her talk to someone after that.

Mornin' Carla! I'm a bit confused myself.

Mornin' seasons! I, myself, have never believed production messes with the game. Like Caro says, they are just ready for it to be over so they can go home and sleep for months! LOL! ;)

Love and Peace to all you BBDishers out there, it is gonna be an awesome week!

Good morning everyone

Grendon and Carolyn I agree with you with all my heart. I think what was done to Christine was terrible. I actually felt sorry for her and I really wanted her to leave last night. No one should be treated in this manner.

On a side note, Caleb also said last night if that happened to him he would cry! lol

Have a great day everyone.

g'morning, Carolyn, everyone!

that's the beauty of the Rewind button - how much they expose their games to each other will dictate the tone of the rest of the game. and i hope it's gonna be brutal and intense.

my ideal final 2 - Derrick and Victoria. Derrick - for being the master manipulator. he played this game and the HGs so well, they're blinded by it. Victoria - to piss off the remaining HGs. if she makes it to F2, they only have themselves to blame because they all played by Derrick's playbook.

That button started the merry-go-round again. Not sure what the future will bring but I am excited and curious about the ins and outs and final dispostion. I hope Derrick is safe but if he goes he will discover many people admired his control of the game.

I feel bad for Christine. She's a fan and must know that booing from the audience is frowned upon and she received more than Aaryn last year, which had been the worst. There are mentions of her DOR'ing but I can't see her giving up her stipend or jury salary but she may have many anxiety attacks between now and the end of the game.

Thank you Carolyn and Lessa, as always, for the TOR and events of the night.

At least we will find out everything a day earlier :)

We gotta get to the bottom of photogate. It definitely wasnt blurry. What is going on with Victoria? She is like an extra that finds her way into every scene in the movie...just walking across the screen wondering where to stand.

My rewind button prediction: Derrick cant play. Everyone else can. It would be good if BB lets it go all the way through the vote and says "by a vote of 2-1, Cody you have been evicted...but because the button was pushed the week will be replayed

I whole heartily agree w/you! I cried for poor Christine. Just broke my heart for her. Of course Cody will get cheers because he'll be looked at the way Caleb/Frankie looked at it. They think it all rest on Christine because she's the married one & Cody's an innocent by-stander. Makes me sick.

Way to much BB on my mind I guess.

BB fans have always been a slightly rabid and very judgmental sort (including myself) but booing Christine doesn't make any sense.

Christine did/said nothing comparable to what Aaryn/Amanda did, and even they got some cheers.

I expected tepid applause at worst for Chris.

People will now boo if a HG has a hand in eliminating a popular player, even though that is what the game is all about.

You have lunatics who use megaphones to actively screw up the game, and you have adult 'fans' who think "that is a great thing to do."

Some 'fans' are very hard to understand.

I love buttons probably as much as Frankie loves buttons. And I'll admit, I woulda done the same thing for the shear reason of the excitement that comes from pushing a button. But I do think Frankie is showing his lack of actually watching the show vs learning about big brother on wiki...super fans should know, nothin good comes from hitting a button in the big brother house.
Jumbo-I'm with you on when Julie should spill the news about the reset. Love explosions , or as they call in my line of work, unexpected bursts of energy.
Back to the button, I'm all over the place...seriously bummed the button got pushed cause now all week I'll be reading these wonderful updates by caro, lessa, and comment updates by Ryder/MM and anyone else I've left out...but I'll really be thinking "that's great but none of this matters come Wednesday". Super bummed.

Carolyn

You confused me there for a minute when you said it goes pretty quickly from 5 to 3. To me it looks like a normal flow with 1 HG eviction this Wed., 9/10 (after the rewind, HOH comp, noms,POV comp, etc.) leaving 4, and then 1 eviction next week 9/17, leaving 3.

I'm conflicted here because I think if they rewind the week it could mean they go back to just after Frankie has won HOH. The button was pushed which starts the clock to 5 days, 19 hrs. which technically is after Frankie has become HOH. This would be terrible. It would only affect/change his noms (if he makes new ones) or the result of the POV comp. For example, say that this week Cody & Vic are noms & Frankie wins POV, noms would probably remain the same. If Cody wins POV he takes himself down & someone else goes up.

However, if they rewind to just after Christine's eviction, Derrick is officially still HOH & there would be a new HOH comp. which could result in someone other than Frankie being HOH. To me that is a true rewind.

This one statement by Julie seems to suggest that the rewind goes back to immediately after Christine's eviction:

"That means next week's nominees could go from being on the block to becoming Head of Household."

Sorry if I've wasted all this space with my speculations but I think I need some clarification. But I'm hoping the 2nd one is correct.

I'm not a "fan" of any of these 5 HGs although I think Derrick has played the best game and I don't want Frankie to win.

As much as I love this game, I loathe the haters. I will never understand people who find joy in hurting other people. That was my take on Christine's exit last night. You are all correct that it was uncomfortable and unnecessary.
Probably my most loathed HG in all 16 seasons was Aaryn, and even I never took to contacting her, or tweeting her, or booing, etc because she is a human being. She deserved to learn from her actions. I don't really think about her that much anymore to be honest, but I hope she sees her words were wrong.
Anyway, back to my point lol
I felt horrible for Christine last night. I have been an advocate for her somewhat this season, in telling the judgmental ninnies to mind their own business, but I still wanted her to leave last night. But I was seriously saddened by the behavior of those booing her in the audience. Sorry state of the world, causing one pain to satisfy yourself. :(

OMG! ROFLMAO! @Kdecruz, you just made my week! That's hilarious! Every year watching so much on the live feeds, I will talk to myself, or close a bag of chips, when I am not watching and, like I picture myself with a mic on and the feedsters listening! It's the strangest feeling and I wonder if others feel it too, so hard to explain, lol!
Thanks for the laugh! Yep, we probably all are in for too much BB! :)

I agree completely Jumbo! Dying to know about "Photogate"!
I wonder, if Cody made that up about Derrick's wife, feeding the baby, does he know the true job Derrick has outside the house? Hmmmm.

I have mixed feelings about the reaction to Christine. I do feel sorry for her and I know she must have felt very hurt by the negative reception. The behavior of the audience was rude and unacceptable to be sure. On the other hand, it might work out for her good. It was obvious to me, from her actions in the house and from part of what her husband said, that Christine and Tim will need to repair their marriage after all this. If Christine tries to blow it off as game play or "just friends" things will just get worse, fester and prove fatal for their union. In the light of the reaction of the audience (and what she will be reading after she gets home) she will have no choice but to admit she was wrong and make amends. Let's hope it all works out for good and their relationship is strengthened by all this!

Good Morning!
Wheeew Carolyn you’ve been “Crushing” it!

I had to watch the show on the dvr late last night due to unforeseen circumstances; it’s my polite was of saying some Froot-Loop Dingus phoned me just as the show got started~!

Small note on “Boo-gate”
My ex was a race car driver. He/we (depending how many of us were out and about at the time) were booed at, screamed at, things thrown at us, people calling our children names, death threat notes on our cars, surrounded by angry mobs…it was crazy to say the least.
What I found interesting was his fan’s reactions. They were very protective of him/us. They would feel far more hurt and angry than we did and they would go to great measures to protect us. I feel it was because they had (at some level) developed a relationship with my husband, even if they had never known him personally.

Now I know Christine isn’t a regular in the public eye, but I believe she’ll have that inner-knowing that she cannot have the whole world love who she is and she’ll be okay by now, if not sooner.
We’ve been developing a relationship with her as viewers, each of us at many different levels; so, perhaps some of us are feeling a little protective of her right now, feeling angry at the boo-ers, regardless of our feelings about her.

I felt the Boo’s were more about her exiting the house without shaking her opponent’s hands and congratulating them on a good game,(poor sportsmanship). Fans are very quick to correct someone’s immediate behavior.
I realize when Julie mentioned Cody some of the audience hissed and some light booing, no comparison to her exiting the house.
We raise our children in all kinds of sport venues to be a good looser and shake your opponents hand at best, but most important to be a good looser.

ITA, Grendon, about the booing. OTT harsh.

But what I disliked more was the HGs afterward talking about the reason and basically giving Cody a complete pass. He is just as responsible for flirting, touching, cuddling, etc. a married woman as she was in participating. (Although, TBH, we don't know Chris/Tim's relationship and she admitted that she's always been a touchy, feely person, so who is anyone to judge?) He had a choice and he made a bad one. While I don't condone the excessive booing, I hope when Cody leaves he gets his fair share.

But since this is the year of the misogynist, I'm thinking the boy will get cut some slack.

Hey everybody, thank you Carolyn for all your hard work this season. I haven't been able to be very active this year. I'm back to being a lurker.

I got my ULTA flyer this morning and I kept staring at the picture from the "it" line of cosmetics when it hit me! It's Jamie from season 1. The beauty queen from Washington. Her makeup is wonderful by the way.

I don't believe Christine was upset about the boos to any great extent--what she was in shock over was her very best buddies in the house voting her out and keeping Victoria! These were guys she cuddled with all summer. And they cut her without a word. Cold. She was in shock, hurt so badly.

Christine was, in her own eyes, a full member on the B.S./Detonators. The extensive conversations the guys had all season were behind her back. They knew they met and planned virtually everything without her, so they never felt she was a full member--and it seemed perfectly consistent to cut her loose early. They had it planned for many weeks. But to her, it was a shock. Not only was she ejected from the house, the alliance, and the game, she just lost her 2 best friends and cuddle buddies minutes after voting her older best buddy out, for them! And Victoria, not even a member of the alliance, who never threw comps for them, never won and used an HOH to target a former friend, stayed behind in the house, another week closer to final 2 or 2 or winning?? That's a burn, to be sure! She stalked out, not saying goodbye or letting them get in a word of explanation to get her jury vote (she knew their insincerity all too well). Boos were just the icing on the cake--she was already in shock and near tears. We knew she'd cry as soon as she got alone, away from cameras. What happened to her with the booing was just another guy or 2 (and strangers this time) taking their swipes at her. Nowhere near the pain of her BB bfs hurting her like they did.

As for those boos, 2 things: 1st,the main voice was MUCH LOUDER than the rest, which were few and softer, hesitant even.... That man was in very close proximity to a microphone! 2d, the others were more likely from the AUDIENCE, just a few soft boos, again predominately male, but indecisive, unsure whether it was right to do it, or okay...apparently a voice or production person had told them they could boo this time, although it was generally not permissible?

I believe the main loud boos were from either a producer or the person responsible for herding the audience, getting them psyched up, etc. They decided they could improve flagging ratings by playing into audience dislike for Christine. The paltry boos other than his loud amplified ones showed how BB fans (except for a tiny handful, not even a measurable percentage who get carried away) let the game go after people leave the house. We don't try to make an evicted HG cry on national tv, after she's been evicted.

The small group of attackers who go after families and evicted HGs are not real fans. They don't watch podcasts, read blogs, spend hours on feeds. They are internet trolls, always looking for someone to attack because they are miserable and the anonymity frees them to release pent-up aggression, become the bully instead of the bullied for a time.

I only noticed the loud man's voice booing into the mike when I replayed the show. Another manipulation by production at the expense of the game, its players, and those of us who love it. Pandering. Thanks to those like Grendon who remind us that we don't act like that and shouldn't start now.
