HoH Lockdown in Over.. at least for the moment.
Listening to Angie and Michelle talk in the 50s room, they may get tossed back up there once Jessie finishes moving his stuff out, but for now, they have the freedom to move about inside the Big Brother house.
Keesha and April are at the kitchen counter, having a bite...
We're going to have intermittent fishies today, folks. - It's live show day. It has always been thus. My guess is they do it to create suspense and make sure all the live feeders tune in for the show on CBS.
On and off, on and off... At the moment, they're back on, and the HGs are starting to clean up the house. Par for the live show day course.
The excitement on the live feeds will start back up tonight after the live show, when we have a new HoH, and hopefully a new balance of power in the house. Just to shake everyone up a little... Whaddya say? ;)
Oh! And don't forget about Evel Dick's Show today on the feeds at 4pm BBT, 7pm eastern.
And of course, the live show spoiler here on bbdish for all the folks on the west coast and beyond, as well as everyone who just wants to hang out and blog during the show. :)

I was just watching Housecalls with Sheila and the comment came up that the HG are evicting people based on personal feelings and not who is the strongest player. It made me wonder how long the other HG will put up with Jessie (who thinks he can win every contest) before they get rid of him? The smart thing is to get rid of the players who are good at stratigy or physical stuff.

I would like to see Memphis win HOH. I think that would shake the house up.
It's refreshing to see this group cleaning as apposed to the last group. I remember Allison and Amanda cleaning the bathroom, once in while others would vacuum, and Sheila cleaned the kitchen all the time. I am not a cleaning freak, but it makes me see this group as a bit more mature, and that they care about their inviroment. they seem to be more respectful.
I know this is a boring topic but it peeks into the attitude of the HG. They have respect for the house. It's not all a what's in it for me attitude.

This group seems a little more boring than the last group but I definetly think it's a more mature group... maybe that's why it's a little boring? Who knows.. but I really don't like Libra and Aprils "team". I hope that Dan gets evicted (not that I dont like him but he doesn't do anything... ever) and maybe Steven or Keesha or Angie comes back and wins this HOH and kicks out April or Libra. That would be great.

Hey Alice, I think I said a couple of days ago that IMO this group is an improvement from last season. Last season seemed so immature but that could be because of the age group that was represented (I'm not making an ageist comment so please no one take it that way :-P ). Although I am ready for more drama!
Back and forth here today.....thanks Carolyn for posting updates so regular for us out here in the land of "can't sit on our butts and do nothing " land. I've got ppl coming over for dinner tonight as well as trying to get some canning done and its a nice little break coming back to the pc and reading a little update.
I have a funny feeling tonights HOH comp will be one that lasts longer then the show runs so i'll be sure to check out the site after i kick everyone out of my house!

Corey, I agree this group is definately more mature. And I don't think it is all age either. I know some teens who act more mature than the majority of last seasons HG.
Lisa, I would love for Renny to get HOH. For I would love for her to put up Libra and Jessie. I am so ready to just slap Jessie's face because he is so egotistical, and Libra just needs to shut up.

to see all cameras at once you use the quad camera..it shows all 4 feeds at once. Launch from the quad link on the main page of this blog...or from realplayer launch its the 5th button..
I just watched last night show and Dan is smooth player. I do not think I could trust him in real life. So if Steve goes tonight. All I have to say is go Dan.

The only way they can evict Jessie and Michelle is by backdooring them, and they need to get on it ASAP.

I have to respectfully disagree. I don't think Memphis would shake anything up. He has not made himself conspicuous yet, and I doubt he will do anything to do so this early. He is a behind-the-scenes kind of guy.
I'm over Keesha. I liked her a lot at first when she was "seeing through" Libra and April. She is just like them - haters not players.
I would have liked to make a montage of Keesha saying she "can't stand" this person and then that person and then the other person.
I still really like Angie. She has shown integrity thus far. It's why the mean girls hate her so... Oh if only a bus would come along (If you have seen Mean Girls you would know my reference) :->

I wanted to switch things up and not get Carolyn in trouble.
On the new poll, I'm going to root for Renny tonight to win HoH.
First, I want to see how power would affect her, and to see what kind of alliance (or at least week long deal) she can build.
Would she go after the house Alpha's (Jessie, Memphis, Libra), or would she attack the weakest members?
Same thing with Dan, although he's promised Jessie and Michelle that he won't nominate them. I have a feeling if Dad won HoH, then we'd see a Renny/Jerry nomination.
Regardless, we need some shaking of the power structure right now, or we're going to get down to boring people real fast.

Thank you C and everyone for providing the much needed frequent intermission in my work day.... I don't know what I did before I found you. Well. I never really got into the show because it seemed 'off', but I enjoy it so much more now that I can find out what is really happening. And to read the other's comments on the days' events. I like that you guys can chat about it, and disagree.

I can hardly stand to watch Jessie. He's the biggest baby I've ever seen! It's like he isn't capable of being civil and nice; he has to have an enemy at all times. And his reasons for conflict are sooooo laaaaaame! He doesn't see anyone as a threat, (mainly because he thinks he is God) so he is nominating/evicting people for lame nonsensical reasons! Pleeeeeeease get him ouuuuuuuuut so he can go home and play with BB9's Ryan!!
Oh, and he needs to wipe that "everyone's out to get me" look off of his face. I guess everyone's out to get him because he's God, huh. He needs a sense of humor. I'd love to see Renny smack him just once, hehehe.

I've only seen the last few BBs (although I'm watching BB3 on Netflix right now), so I have a question:
Has the first evicted HG ever had an effect on the rest of the game the way Brian has? It seems everything is predicated on how people treated him, particularly in those last days.
I too would love to see Renny win tonights HOH. Although her and Keesha's voices can make my ears bleed i think the 2 of them are quite funny.
P.S. wow. I can't believe Angie is the favorite on the pools so far. I thought I was the only one who hearted her!!

Well on April's bio...she lists one of her favorite activities as having sex...so now things are becoming more clear.
Also...her identical twin sister is pregnant. Maybe she's trying to make sure they stay identical!
It surprises me how bad Memphis wants Jerry out. I find both him and Libra very disrespectful towards Jerry. I think Jerry and Renny should be least of there problems. I don't trust Dan. They should of gotten Libra out instead of Steven.
I think Dan Or Angie should win! It would keep you guessing on what moves they will make and I don't think that they would be easily influenced by the others. If Jerry or Renny won they would listen to the house.And if any others went up they would just go against the opposite side!

Call me a prude or whatever but in this day and time to be having unprotected sex with someone whom you do not know their HIV/AIDS and other STD status is extremely sad and alarming. As a medical researcher in epidemiology, I find this very disappointing.
Don't even get me started on the fact that this is being shown for all of America to see. Where are people's morals. I fully accept that consenting adults are free to engage in whatever sexual practices they find appealing, But when you are being broadcast to the nation and wearing a microphone have some common decency. Ask Jesse Jackson he knows all about it!
Also it amazes me how little people know about diseases and sexuality. Women can still become pregnant not to mention susceptible to disease if semen is deposited in close proximity to the vajayjay. After all, they are determined little swimmers. What about pre-cum? Okay okay I'll step down off my soap box.
Hey Brandyinmore, I disagree about Renny. If Jerry won HOH I agree he would go with the house, but I think if Renny won HOH she would do her own thing. That is one of the reasons some of them don't like her, because they can't control her.
Kendall, it is their choice to go into the house. I don't think having "relations" is a sign of moral decay. Now when comes to broadcasting it or watching the feeds people have a choice whether or not to view the material. I for one think there is way too much censorship and pardon the expression "Big Brother" going on in this country. Moreover this show is called Big Brother for a reason :)
I'm really rooting for Renny tonight, but my second choice is Angie. Neither one of those would listen to the house for nominations. If one of them won HOH, the house would go into panic mode immediately. Of course, if that were to happen, poor Carolyn would never get any sleep because of all the game talk going on. No one would feel safe and the cat fights would exculate. The HG would be up to all hours talking game and what an interesting week that would be. To bad I don't have enough faith for it to happen.

April and Ollie are annoying and I'm quite glad CBS isn't showing the brewing romance. Didn't Ollie tell his dad right before he went into the house (I believe I saw this on the first episode) that he wouldn't do anything to disgrace the family name??? I can only imagine what his parents are thinking of his actions since they're pastors of a Pentecostal church. Yowsers.
As for HOH - I'm one of those hoping Angie wins it - or even Renny -- take it home ladies and stir up that house. I'm so sick of everyone being afraid to crank things up a notch.
And lastly, I'm sad to see Steven go - he brought so much fun to the game with his antics. If they were smart they would evict Dan - he's much more crafty than Steven. Seems they would want him out more than Steven. Ug.

I can't think of another first evicted houseguest that's caused a full week's stir, and set up the "schedule" for evictions (in some minds) as Brian has done.
St. Cappy had the Nerd Herd seeking month long revenge, and same with the eviction of Matty last year.
The first evicted houseguest usually is forgotten fairly quickly. Not this season.
