I can't tell if he was talking to Dan or Renny, but he said something to the effect of: "If I have to put my teeth on in the shower, why can't you put your contacts on in there? That looks disgusting!" No one responded, and then he left the room...

Memphis and Keesha are outside talking about Jerry. Keesha mentions how he tries to take credit for keeping her safe... Dan comes out. Keesha tells Memphis that she talked to Libra last night, and that she felt really badly about how horrible things got the other night.
Dan asks Keesha if she's got any black eyeliner he can borrow. It's the 1st day of football practice, and he wants to put some on for his team. Talk turns to the PoV Ceremony. Dan asks her if she has a speech prepared, and asks her to say something original, on behalf of her fan club.

Jerry: You walk around here, wearing your cross, toting your bible. you made a comment to Jessie when he was HoH that if you ever broke your word, you'd give up your religion. I think ya have. I don't see the cross anymore. I don't see ya toting your bible. Now, lemme talk a little bit about you. After voting Jessie out about a half an hour after you told me he was safe, then you come up here into HoH and make comments like you were the 4th person to elect to vote Jessie out. Surprisingly, Libra did the same thing.
Michelle: Oh, she didn't come up here. She was actually down there.
Jerry: Well, but she did it. Whatever... This stated too that she was the 4th vote. That indicates then that you 2 were saying Keesha and Renny are the ringleaders in putting Jessie out... You people had nothing to do with it, but ya voted... And... what the hell was my other point.. Oh.. and that you were threatened by these people in order to make your choice. To me, you will always be a Judas in my house, and on that will i make my decision.
Michelle: He's probably gonna sh*t in his drawers. Excuse my language...
Jerry: Now you get my decision. I'm not gonna use the Power of Veto. I gave my word. I keep it. Boom.

I have been thinking about April & Ollie's game-play....or lack there of. I'm not a hater of the two like many are, but I don't understand why they don't try to make a deal with Libra and save her. Libra currently has nobody and has no choice but to accept a deal anyone has to offer. Keesha on the other hand has everyone in the house BUT April & Ollie. They could bring Michelle into the deal along with Jerry ... in return for safety next week if Libra wins HOH. It just doesn't make any sense to me to get out the person who is completely alone.

So I think Dan could be safe either way. April would work her ass off trying to get Keesha evicted, and I can only see Renny and Jerry evicting Dan if it came down to it.

i think dan was truely scared when everyone was screaming I know I was some families do not scream and carry on [we dont] and you can tell he was brought up to know that the louder you are the more apt you are to be wrong, ven memphis was apalled at the mouth on Jerry I am sure Jerrys family is so mortified by his behavior
I was washing dishes and had the feeds going. I wanted to gouge my eyes out with a fork. Jerry in is UNDERWEAR. UUGGHHHHHHHHHHH. That is one picture I never want to see again.
My opinion on Jerry's pending speech:
Dan may be uncomfortable. He will probably feel bad because unlike many in the house, he has a conscience.
The only one Jerry will embarrass however is himself. Pretty much the same way he has embarrassed himself since his first week in the house when he broke the marine code of honor.
Gosh Jerry, I gotta hand it to you-you sure are consistent inyour self humiliation.

I would like to add myself to the list of people who are over Jerry. I cannot believe that he has watched every season of this game and has forgotton two very important things:
1. EVERYONE eventually during the course of this crazy game breaks their word to someone.
2. JERRY broke his word the first week. Why is he holding Dan to such a high standard? Is Jerry's hatred of Memphis so strong that he is willing to completley write off anyone who does not support him in his quest to remove Memphis from the house?
Over Jerry, over Ollie, WAY over Keesha AND April.

it is a little depressing this season that almost all of the bloggers are in the same boat and there is not much of a difference of opinion.
everyone hates april and sometimes ollie and of course, horrible jerry.
renny, memphis, and dan are loved by all.
libra is generally hated but then felt sorry for. this goes back and forth.
michelle and keesha seem to have a little more variation in opinion, but not much.
if anyone has an opinion contrary to the majority, i would love to hear it.
it would make things a lot more interesting.

I am DUN with Jerry. I have never really liked him (knew there was another side to him), but I was willing to tolerate him.
I just hope that he doesn't ruin the chances of April going after Libra based on his current actions in the house.
Also hope Michelle gets her head out of April's A$$ and listens to Memphis about getting her out.

I am a grandfather, and, truthfully, I do not want how I live my life based on the way folks think a grandfather should behave. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASSE, I am only a grandfather to my grandbaby, who, by the way, is the most beautiful grandbaby in the world. I swear, I drink, and, when someone says "yes", I'll hop into the nearest bed. Is Jerry not allowed to play a game because he's a grandfather. Why does he have to act nicer than anyone else? I hate to soil how you think about you grandfathers, but they were once horndogs just like everyone else.

OMFG! I didn't need to see that pic of Jerry in his briefs. All men his age should be required to wear boxers at least, if not longjohns (the red ones with the flap in the back.) My father did and he was in amazing shape compared to Jerry.

I'm so, so tired of Jerry. I've tried to take it easy on him since he's old, but now I've just had it! I've pretty much decided to pull for Dan and Memphis at this point. I like Renny, too, but she comes with Keesha and I've seen a side of her this week I don't care for.
Everyone in the house keeps talking about how weird Dan is. I wish someone would tell me what he
does that makes everyone think that. I do think he is a genuinely caring person, but it's sad that he can't just be nice to someone without everyone thinking he has a secret alliance with them! I know he acted strange the AP week, but this goes beyond that. I wonder if they just can't accept that someone could really just be that nice, so they are constantly trying to find what he's "really" up to!!

Well, If Jerry hasn't already made enough of a fool of himself then he is going to add more to it if he does make a speech to try to humiliate Dan. He is a disgrace to the Marine Corp. I have several Marines in my family & not one would be as dishonorable as he has been. It's a game, get over it!
I have noticed the eye blinking on April & it gets faster the more p.o. she is, which is usually 99% of the time.
Is it just me or does it seem like each year these houseguests get nastier and nastier? I think they should use the same rules we use here...."no personal attacks....they're all human"

Ditto on Jerry! He's beyond horrible. What is so sad to me is that Dan won't (or doesn't) truly defend himself. He knows he hurt Jerry regardless of the circumstances and is willing to take whatever punishment Jerry is dishing out. He shouldn't! He is showing what a great person he truly is. I hope someone, anyone (even BB at the wrap party), puts Jerry in his place! Dan has not committed any crime and done nothing that isn't part of the game (and everyone is doing the same). I want someone to go further than Memphis did on last nights show and tell Jerry to shut up - he's taken it too far and is flat out wrong. I just don't think anyone has the ba, I mean guts to do it! he should not be allowed to make that speech. Hopefully America can show him how wrong he is when he gets out of the house!

I read your blogs all the time though I think I have only commented 1 time. I am so bothered by Jerry I just had to say something. Everytime Jerry opens his mouth I wince. I feel like crying for Dan and can't believe he is the only one in the house holding such an extreme grudge on Dan. Get over it! Holy cow, its a game and to take such personal attacks on someone has got to speak something to his character. Also I think I like Memphis even more after his DR from last nights show about when people talk like that where he comes from, they get punched in the mouth! Loved it!
Re CDV'rs - a tip I learned the hard way. If a show runs late also record the next show, whatever it's called, doesn't matter. Then you'll get the rest of your show in the next spot even though it will be labeled "Best American Wedding Fights that Involve Cop Tasers and Puke" (or whatever).
Christine - good catch on Jerry and the lack of military gear. Yeah, we should read into it. But I think he's doing it to "scare" Dan, not actually follow through on the using the veto.

I wasn't going to bring it up again but from yesterday, when the subject of used TP was brought up, I knew immediately it had to be Jerry. I don't know, but does he live someplace where he might use a septic tank? That is pretty common with the older people to trash it rather than flush it in that situation.
No need anymore really, with the advent of septic tank treatment products, need to, but us old people are hard to deal with when it comes to changing our ways.

I don't believe that anyone is bashing Jerry because he is not measuring up to a "grandpa" standard. Just that he is behaving like a hypocrite and has a huge mean streak. Not that being a hypocrite is NEW in the house, but his attacks on Dan are extreme.

If April gets any further up Jerry's a**, his false teeth are going to shoot out. She has been just as vile about Jerry as he has with Dan, behind his back of course. I know she has said she is just being nice until she no longer needs him and his vote, so maybe Jerry will go off on her in the future. One can only hope!

4 things I would like to clear up
1. If any of the prior houseguests told April how cute she was, they didn't show it on the Sunday show.
2. During the food comp they clapped for Libra the same as they did for everyone else.
3. The reason Julie asked Michelle about the banner is because we all know she was lying and Julie wanted to put her on the spot.
4. Dan did NOT say he and Monica were supposed to be this season's twist. He said they were supposed to be one of the couple's on BB9.
Sorry, I thought of a fifth.
5. They make Jerry change his teeth in the shower because it gives them the opportunity to get rid of him for a couple minutes. After all, it is hard to get away from people in this house.
I feel bad for Libra and think she is getting the royal shaft. She was in on the jessie thing and is not sorry she voted him out, but Keesha has thrown her so far under the bus it is sickening. I am 63 years old and hate that Jerry portrays the elder generation as hard nosed simpletons. I thought he would have empathy since he has lived so many years and learned so much. Know he is in the minority of elderly that feel as he does. I know it is hopeless, but I wish Libra were saved.

I agree with you about Jerry in the sense that if he were bed hopping I'd be all for it. It would be hilarious. But, I dislike (hate IS a very strong word indeed, Ollie) his game play and his inability to forgive and/or forget, or both. THAT is my biggest problem with him.
As for being a grandfather, no I will never know the feeling except with our dogs, which are our children and grandchildren. But I am a first-time great uncle of a beautiful, nearly 1 year old little girl and I'll argue all day and night with you about who is the prettiest and most perfect( :p~ ) She is the Queen of My Universe.
Heather, I agree, it can make for better fun when we have more diverse opinions about the HGs, as long as we are nice to each other, which Carolyn and X do an excellent job of making sure of. But this year the cast is so much easier to either choose to like or hate their game play. I do have to say I am enjoying this cast more than any other in the 10 year history. AGP's bit of a crackdown on the rules this season has really added to the show. I rarely give kudos to AGP, but in this case I do. I can only wish it would get even stronger. If I hear one more HG scream at production for using the 'put on your mic' button, I am going to scream once again.
MsFitz, I think the only time April isn't blinking is when her eyes are rolling back in her head, underneath Ollie, so that would make 99% of the time just a bit high.. just a TAD bit high. ;)

Hey everyone, love this site...without a doubt the absolute BEST!!!
I have a theory on Jerry, he is without a doubt vile and insulting, but I think there may be a deeper reason he keeps burning Dan...it keeps him in with people. As long as Jerry "hates" Dan, he has something to talk about with everyone, and he seems to get some attention from it. Whenever he needs to join in the conversation, he can bash Dan. If Dan left, Jerry wouldn't have anything to say and would be ignored again.

I swear Jerry.....stop acting like Dan owes you his allegiance! Dan doesn't owe you anything honestly. Dan isn't like a terrorist or something and Jerry isn't some military officer. Humans generally get cranky, get delusional, get upset, get offended, and get spiteful! Especially when you are cooped up in a situation like Big Brother! I really doubt that his family is anything but proud of him though.
Why it is that Keesha can behave like a spoiled and vindictive 7 year old and no one anywhere seems to blink an eye? She from the beginning has shown true lack of character and of any of the HG's, is the one I would expect to be just as shallow and cattie outside of the house as she is in the house. But I don’t really “know her” so the only thing I can hope is that she does not come close to 1st or 2nd place at all. But other then that, I say good luck to her in life. “kumbaya and all that crap”

I know we all have a problem with Jerry's behaviour in the house lately.
Really if any of the house guests cared, including Dan, someone would tell him to give it a rest. Including the diary room folks.
Because he goes on and on and on, he's just making that target a lot bigger for himself.
And really Dan knows he is not being talked about kindly, he tried to build the bridge and Jerry really wants nothing to do with him. Dan can't react strongly, it's not in his nature so I suspect we'll be hearing about this over and over until Dan and/or Jerry is gone.

With the exception of Jerry, I'm really enjoying rest the hamsters this week.
I love watching Keesha and April, they hate each other for the same reason, jealousy.
Libra and Renny are both playing a very sneaky game, making little comments about various hgs and trying to plant seeds of doubt about the hgs intentions. Renny's doing a better job, as she seems well liked right now.
Michelle and Memphis are both being fairly strategic this week. It's been interesting to watch Michelle without Jessie to distract her.
Dan is both devious and seems genuinely nice. An interesting contrast.
Ollie is pretty disposable, but it's getting fun watching how he reacts to April's constant picking.
And Jerry...well he's just repulsive. AND NEEDS TO GO!
Re: Jerry's age, and how it shapes people's feelings toward him:
I think that, for the most part, we've been pretty fair regarding Jerry. I think we all understand that it's tough for him to be in a house where almost everyone is in their 20s and 30s. For example, I mentioned in the past that it was unfair that he was labeled a "perv" by some HGs for some of his comments. They wouldn't have elicited the same response had they been made by someone in their own age group.
I don't want to speak for everyone, but for most of us the vitriol towards Dan has raised our ire. Dan hasn't acted as deviously or dishonestly as most HGs (everyone except for Renny IMHO), but Jerry is treating him as though he is the devil incarnate.
Also, the comments regarding Dan's religion have really sent a lot of folks over the top. Religion and spirituality are very personal things, and the sort of comments Jerry has made are below the belt. I think we'd feel the same if it was someone Dan's age who was saying these things.

I think Penny's theory about Jerry vitriol against Dan is very insightful. It does get him some attention in the house and an excuse to hang out with the current in-crowd.
And I really wish Dan would stick up for himself with Jerry. He needs to remind Jerry that Jerry led the way down the betrayal road. Then, when Jerry starts yelling and cussing, Dan should just walk away, saying he (Dan) won't participate in that type of conversation, but when/if Jerry wants to have a rational conversation, Dan will be ready.

I liked Jerry, but his continued ranting about Dan and than friggin' vote is driving me crazy. I guess his kids never did anything that made him angry or disappointed, or maybe they did and he just disowned them. What I want to know what did Dan own Jerry? The only one that could of been angry really is April, the vote just didn't go her way. I can't believe I'm telling a man his age to grow the hell up! If I was his family I would be so angry for the way Jerry is acting.

It is all about honor and respect with him. Most likely a combination of his upbringing and time in the military.
He went out and talked to Dan when Dan was in the pool and Jerry thought he got Dan's word that Jessie would be safe.
All Dan said was, "Okay." Nothing like "I give you my solemn vow."
In Jerry's mind Dan broke his word to him and this make's Dan scum. Dan broke his word so he is untrustable, ever. Another way of thinking about it, how many you have heard the phrase, "All a man has is his word" ?
If you want to get to Jerry, that's it right there. And I'm willing to bet if any hg were to bring up what Jerry did to Brian all Jerry would do is deny deny deny.

I never liked Jerry and just like u guys see him now, I saw him that way from day one with the Memphis thing. I want Libra to be saved but it will never happen. Keesha is the worst kind of person who acts like they're your best friend then take you to the woods tell u its a picnic and then chops ur head off. I wasn't calling anybody out re. Ollie and April having sex. I just don't see the big deal. It'w what the majority of Americans do. Married or not. Religious or not. I just don't get why people are making that part an issue.
Libra doesn't know April and Ollie had sex. Did I miss her walking in on them or something? I simply responded to what somebody said. Isn't that what this blog is about? I was not being rude. I just don't get the whole puritanical response to two grown ups having sex. Period. That's all.

I don't think that Jerry is trying to play the Evel Dick role, just because his rhetoric equating Dan to Judas has carried over to the DR. Dick would go off on an HG and then laugh about the whole thing in the DR.

I have the same feeling in my gut when Jerry attacks Dan's religon as I got when Natalie used to go on and on about "Team Christ". This is a TV realty show and disparaging remarks about a persons religion or "evil doers" has no place in it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking censorship, I'm talking about being human and allowing to live and let live.

It seems like Jerry would be a great person to go to the end with. There is no doubt that they all could win against him, (probably even Libra!) The longer he is in the house, the more the HGs are completely over him.
I wish one year, as a twist, WE could pick the winner! And, the HGs didn't know it. They are delusional about how America see them. Especially, Jessie, April and Michelle. That would help real player get subscribers more than anything. No one, who is aware of the live feeds, would be able to live without them. And, then we have here to kick it about. Believe me, I am not appreciating Jerry's game right now. But, it is not any different than a lot of others.
He is a player in the game. He cusses (just like everyone else). He obsesses on one player at a time (just like everyone else). He brags when he wins (just like everyone else). He thinks his perceptions are the truth in the game(just like everyone else).
We do not know if he is a horrible person. We only know what game he is playing. As much as we might not like it, it is not that different than anyone else in the house. It just comes off differently because he is 75 and OUR expectations of him are that of a 75 year old grandpa, not that of a player in the game.
OK, again I do not like Jerry's game.
I do believe a lot of his obsession from Dan comes from a deep hurt he feels. Yes, it is misguided. But it is real to him.
I don't like how he is handling it. But, why is evil? Are any of the other HGs evil when they keep bringing every single conversation back to the wrong-doings of the person they perceive to be their biggest target?
No, they are all playing the game. Some are just not playing it very well.
