Good morning, Big Brother lovers! Happy Monday! One more day til the finale of BB10! Unbelievable.

I just couldn't figure out what to put on em, but I think I finally figured it out yesterday. :)

OK.. having watched the recap last night, which I found very enjoyable, although a bit light on some of the HGs, I am now 100% convinced that the real reason the Final 2 dinner was blacked out was because all throughout that couple hour period one of the producers was coming over the intercom saying things like "Ok, so now we need you to mention so-n-so and his/her role in the game." Dan's delivery was just a little too forced, like the words coming out of his mouth weren't his own, and Memphis was clearly uncomfortable throughout...
Last night on the live feeds, the boys were pretty entertaining with their Card Tossing, Beer Pong, Badminton, Ted & Debby feeding and chatter.. And if they weren't enough for ya, there was always the variety show on the re-feeds.
Here's a little rundown of some of the more memorable Renegade Chatter last night from 9:20pm BBT 'til bedtime, just after 12:30am...
Dan: We're like little kids, throwing cards around and playing with remote control cars.
Memphis: Ashley, if you're watching this right now....
Dan: She's waiting to play with something else. Ashley, if you don't take off work, that's bull...
Dan: I bet if we tried hard enough, at least one of the 2 of us could hide from the cameras. We could play like a Mission Impossible type game...
Memphis: You think so?
Dan: Yeah...
Dan: What if the twist this season is that the sequester house can see and hear everything we're doing?
Memphis: We'd be screwed.
Dan: We should have a live video internet chat right now with the fans. Why not? What else do we have to do? Right here... for an hour...
Dan rambles on a bit...
Dan: What do you think the budget is for this show? $10 million?
Memphis: Probably...
Dan: Maybe more than $10 million... It probably costs three grand a day to run this place.
***Dan, it costs more than that per day to pay the Art Department... then there's Production, Construction, Accounting, Grip/Electric, Craft Service, Catering, Mission Control, Sound, the Camera Department, etc., etc., ad infinitum...
BB's been blurting out random trivia for the boys entertainment and annoyance this evening.. When BB repeats the line about the largest weather vane being in Spain, Memphis yells at him, saying "You just told us that same sh*t a minute ago!" Dan intervenes...
Dan: Alcohol. Go see if they gave us any alcohol.
Memphis: I don't think it's in the budget anymore.
Dan looks crestfallen.
Memphis goes to look, but finds no beer, and returns to report the bad news. The boys decide to retaliate by setting up to play badminton inside the BB house. Memphis attaches the net to the Memory wall... BB isn't having it.
BB: Memphis, Stop that!
BB: Dan, knock it off!
They opt to play in the living room, from opposite couches, over the living room table.
A couple minutes later, BB gives them a 6 pack of beer. Well, 6 assorted beers. Beer pong ensues, and after a few minutes of not getting to drink anything, Dan tells Memphis not to throw the beer pong like he threw every HoH.
Talk turns to the votes...
Memphis: If I was in there, I'd vote more for game than personal feelings...
Dan: Renny, Ollie and April probably wont think too much about the game. Did anyone promise you their vote?
Memphis: (laughs) Jerry... when we made the deal... "if I leave, I guarantee I'll get you the votes..." Some crap. Whatever.
Just around midnight, after a soak in the jacuzzi, the boys are ready for a shower and bed... Memphis gets into the shower first, and Dan chats with him from the bathroom couch. They're surprised when BB insists Dan put on his microphone a couple times.
Talk turns to the wrap party. Memphis wants to skip out and go home for an hour or 2, then come back. They expect Tuesday night will be very busy, what with meeting all the producers and doing interviews...
Talk turns to chatter... Memphis is out of the shower. Dan's in.
Memphis: You should move out here.
Dan: Hell to the no!
Memphis laughs.
Dan: Michigan is gonna be the new California, minus the unisex bathrooms...
Memphis: ...And minus the weather.
Dan: No matter what happens, Tuesday night is gonna be fun.
Memphis: It's definitely gonna be exciting.
Dan: If 4 people voted for you to win, would you buy them nice gifts?
Memphis: No.
Dan: You wouldn't?!
Memphis: Dan, the only people I would buy nice gifts for in this house are you and Keesha. That's it.
Right around 12:30am, the boys are settling into bed for the night..
Dan: I can't wait to see Monica!
Memphis can't wait to see Ashley either.
Dan: My cup runneth over.
Memphis: 11 weeks.
Talk simmers down. The boys are otherwise occupied: Memphis with the Bible, Dan with his letter from home... After a couple minutes, Memphis puts the bible down and closes his eyes.. Dan hasn't run out of words just yet...
Dan: Dude, 75 years old... Every day we've been in here has been like a year in Jerry's life. That's really old.

That pig was so cute it almost makes me want one.
We had really bad winds last night from Ike. I do not know how you guys on the coast can deal with all that and not leave when they say one is on the way.
I figure our wind was maybe a 10th of what it was for you guys.
And the damage it must leave behind.
I guess a lot of people up here are without power because our power guys are all in Texas. ☺

Carolyn, I hope your back is doing better. I haven't gotten to all of the posts and comments from yesterday yet. Silly me, I thought it would be quiet around here yesterday, just like the BB house. But, I see now that I missed a lot and have to catch up!
Carolyn, I just finished watching last night's recap show and I thought the same exact thing! The entire episode seemed so scripted, with Dan taking the lead and playing host, mentioning one HG or incident after another. I don't recall the Final 2 ever walking us down memory lane like that and I could just tell that BB was telling them what to say.
Like you, I figured that this was the reason why we got blacked out of that Final 2 dinner. It seemed so forced, and Memphis was TOTALLY not into it at all, lol. I hope BB doesn't start doing this every season.
Haven't posted much but I am hear every chance I get...which is everyday!
I will miss having this to look forward too.
I will be hear for Survivior, however I don't think it will be the same.

Oh, I just wanted to mention that I LMAO'd again at the part with Renny's impersonations, even if they left a lot out.
Also, I loved the Dan and Keesha part, and it made me miss Keesha all over again.
Of course, I enjoyed watching the sock puppet segment again.
But, my most favorite part was the oh so weird and uncomfortable singing of Happy Birthday to poor Keesha, followed by the funniest moment of the season - dead silence for a few seconds and then Libra's asking "Anybody want cake?" I laughed so hard and then I had to rewind it three or four times and laugh again and again!
G'morning Carolyn and all other dishers! Happy day before the finale! lol Wasn't able to post over the weekend, but just got caught up and you all are the best. All the well wishes and thoughts and prayers for everyone was really nice to see. Warmed my heart.
And of course got some chuckles from Gaytor. :-)

Hi, Carolyn. I pulled up your site and saw an overnight report posted, and thought, what on earth could have happened to have warranted that?hehe. You know, with only Dan and Memphis left in the house.
You're post made me laugh.
Stupid hurricane Ike passed through here yesterday when I was at my Mom's in the country. Trees down everywhere, power lines, stoplights out, the power went out at Mom's a couple times yesterday, and then the internet, cable, and phone went out here at my house late last night about 11:00 or so and didn't come back on until 9 this morning. 30mph sustained winds here(higher in other areas) and gusts up to 70-80mph.
He is a nasty bugger!! I can't ever remember a hurricane passing through here with the level of sustained strength as Ike. Even Katrina only dumped a little rain on us. I hope Ike dies a horrible death! Is it okay to threaten physical violence against hurricanes?
Anyway, just wanted to say hello.

Can't stay online too long, just wanted to check in and let everyone know we are fine!
We seem to be the only neighborhood that only lost power for 8 hours, and have internet.
Have most of family and pets still here and trying to get back to clean up and check out things so they will be ready to go home when they get power.
Having to be careful with gas until stations can get power, but we are fine and very blessed.
Hope everyone else is same. Will check back in later today to read blogs and comments (I haven't seen the show since last Tuesday!).

Listen up BB - Dan's idea for a twist (the jury house getting to see everything going on in the BB house) is a great idea for next season. I missed there not being any good twist this season.
C- I like the mug design, but I still wish you would get rid of the blond sex kitten. You're much hotter than her, how about your face. OK. I heard you, you don't have to yell. What about C=Venus doing something stylized and cool with your image?
I always love that the HG's don't realize that the entire prize money is the pay per episode for a couple of sitcom stars. And that BB has to be careful of the food bill. I wonder what Grodner makes - more than everyone on the blog put together. Hell, the six individual beer types product placement would cover lobster every night.
Speaking of money, I wonder if they would have to pay scale rather than the stipend to any AFTRA members - and I wonder if they screen them out. I'm not sure how they would rate 24/7 productions, but it's got to be at least 3k a day, looking at the scale sheet. I wonder when the rules are going to change for these "game shows?" I'm surprised the networks have gotten away with it this long.
Just watched the clip with the piggy. I loved the days of BB when everything was basic and the HG's looked like real people. Oh, progress.

It gave me a lot more appreciation for what everyone in TX and LA have been going through. Can't imagine having that wind and buckets of rain coming down at the same time!

Forget who said it, but someone was saying on CBS site no one regulates what comments are said, etc. I have seen that on quite a few sites and that just goes to show you what a first class, caring, and truly high class blog site you are running! Not only do you care about the HG, the other commenters, and even the anons (which at times must be hard). You go above and beyond and hope you realize just how much I, and I am sure so many others appreciate and love what you have done here!

Like Rhonda, I look for your pic here, particularly when I'm in a rush and don't have time at the moment to read all the comments. When I have to skim quickly, I always look for your pic as I scroll down just to make sure that I see what you've said, and what's going on.
Plus, now that the topic has come up - please forgive me, I mean no disrespect at all ever, but I always thought that pic in the logo looked a little pornish. Someone please tell me that I'm not the only one!

Sorry I had to dip out again last night. I had company that showed up while BB was on so I had to finish watching it later.
I was talking to my friend in St. Louis while I was trying to catch up on the comments around midnight and had to read some of Gaytor's comments to her. She cracked up! I hope I can get her here to join us for Survivor. She is the tv only viewer that I told y'all about. She said she is voting for Renny to win AC. I have been going to my daughter's and voting for Keesha to trump her votes! lol! (at least she wasn't voting for Jerry!)

I cannot believe ED re Keesha's tooth. She had it pulled and has to wait to have the implant completed and then was called for BB. Although I am a fan, I won't get into HIS appearance! At least maybe Keesha will get AC!
And I have to say, I got a little teary reading the comments last night and saw people missed me. Still not sure if that was good or bad, but nice that the 'family' noticed missing peeps! lol
IMO one of the best things about the Dish is the kind caring people here, including our host!
I was missing because while Carolyn's back got better, mine got worse. Then I spent hours on my knees on tile floor trying to rescue a leopard gecko from my two cats. I love to watch them have fun, but one cat tends to eat the geckos and I can't handle it. And I don't win very often. The cats are as fast as the geckos. Ick
My vote goes for Carolyn's face on the logo too! Everyone that's been here knows Carolyn's sweet face. Those who haven't been here it won't matter, they will get to know and love you like we do!
I only noticed her tooth once she pointed it out that it was missing. When she smiles really wide, you can see a black hole, lol.

Carolyn, I don't want to hassle ya, please believe me. So, I'll just say one more thing on the subject. Your site is so well known and has such a large, loyal following of both regular posters and lurkers, that I don't think changing that pic would cause confusion, especially if everything else stays the same (the polka dot background, the banner with the HG's, the layout, etc.
Since you're probably too modest, I liked Jane's comment: "What about C=Venus doing something stylized and cool with your image?" I did a Google Image search for "shhh:" like you mentioned you had done for the current pic (which is on page 36 of the search now, lol). I found this pic, which maybe could be an example of what could be done with a pic of you:

He (BTW his name is Gizmo) is a brat (african grey) that never shuts up and terrorizes the cats and me!!! Favorite saying? "Mommy is mean!" He was sick and I had to give him shots in his tummy. Still haven't watched last nights show.....i decided to throw a nice dinner party yesterday so i didn't get free time till after 10. I don't expect i missed too much tho.
I find myself saddened that the end is so close. I'm not much of a fan of the Amazing Race nor Survivor so i wont have a lot of input over the fall/winter :(
I plan on doing renos on the bathroom and dinning room over the winter but hoping I'll still find time to come say hello to everyone on here.

Wow, you started it in All-stars? I thought you had started way before that! I joined you for all of season 8! It was funny cause I discovered you thru myspace! I never paid much attention to BB sites, but season 8 got me really into it cause a good friend of mine from California knows Evel Dick and I got obsessed with everything that had to do with that season! LOL!
Yay, so I only missed one season with you! LOL!
After this week, I probably won't be coming here as much either. I never got into Survivor or the Amazing Race. Although, I worked for the radio station where Richard Hatch was the morning DJ. He was as Steven described Jessiee...a tool, lol.
My co-workers all loved Survivor, so even though I didn't watch the show, they would include me every day when we decided who was going to be voted off our company's island. LOL.

Lily - The ducks are because there are always rubber duckies in the house... Some seasons more than others. The Bots are because earlier this season, blogger thought I was a robot, because I post so much, ;) so they shut down the site for a week, and I had to redirect everyone to another bbdish site. :)

I'm so glad that some of you that are dealing w/ Ike checked in. Stay positive & know many prayers are being said for things to calm down very soon & you are all back to normal quickly. Thanks again to everyone who sent me comment's regarding my relative's home. They already were able to get their adjuster out there today so fortunately they are starting to recover slowly.

I absolutely agree that you should put your picture on the site. I would much rather see your sweet face! Would it be egotistical? Absolutely, NOT! Personally, if I saw a change in the logo to a site I visited & questioned it, I would look it over first before giving up & leaving. You've got my vote! Yeah, for a redhead on the logo!!!!
I loved the video of Ophelia. That brought back memories of BB2. I remembered how sad I was when they had to say good-bye to her & I hated to see her leave too!!! She was so cute!!

RedRhonda - that was me that commented about the CBS site & how they don't regulate the horrible comments that are made about HG. I have seen that on other sites also but what really bugged me is that CBS is the network this show is on & they do nothing to try to maintain some sort of respect for the HG. After all, CBS does know they are all over other sites & to put them up as fair game on their own website just nauseated me. I agree with you, as I was looking at a couple of them with my mouth hanging open, I thought how wonderful it is to have a site to come to that is respectful & we don't have to be subjected to that trash. But, the sad part to me, though, is that our sweet Carolyn does see that from some commentors & it made me realize how priveleged we all are to be a part of her community.

Was pleased to see the article on Dan and his job. I have been worrying about that. His victory in the house is a significant hint of what kind of coach he is. My little(or not so little) rhymes are my way of sharing with all my friends here at Dish. I will check and see if Carolyn might be amenable to posting the lot after the season ends. I know she has a lot to do and the 1st thing is a much needed rest. ( I’ll number them, have forgotten most of the exact dates.) Good Afternoon to all. BBAD was pretty predictable. I think Dan has played the best game. I've been on sites saying they wonder if Dan and Memphis will stay friends. Memphis has already said that he doesn't want anything to do with any of them after the show is over. We'll see.
Sorry for all of you that are suffering the wrath of Ike. I'm lucky and live in an area where there are no hurricanes and seldome ever a tornado. Went to Florida 4 years ago on Friday the 13th as the first hurricane of the season hit. Never want to do that again. This one seemed like a really bad one. Please take care all and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
