7 More Days til Big Brother 11
Good Morning, BB Lovers! Happy Thursday!! Can you believe there's only 7 days left til Big Brother 11? I can't wait to spark up the feeds and get this thing goin' already!!
Yesterday was an enormous day for BB11 info. We got to see & hear all the new HGs for the first time. We learned details about the twist. The HGs are essentially back in highschool and they'll split into 4 teams:
- popular
- athletes
- brainiacs
- off beats.
The new HGs will also be surprised to discover that a mystery 13th Houseguest is coming to the BIG BROTHER house, to join the game and give an advantage to one of the cliques - as an extra team member.
Speculation about just who this 13th HG will be is still running rampant around the internet, but many seem quite comfortable that it's either Brian from BB10, Sheila from BB9 or Jessica from BB8. It could all just be a huge red herring to throw us off though. We shall see! :)
On the house tour with Julie, that I watched a few times - cuz the first time through, I pretty much just sat there oohing and aahing at her belly - we saw a glimpse of the 3rd bedroom, and we learned a bit about it's function.From what we've seen, it's a stark, barren place, with no mattresses and only blankets on the floor. From the descriptions we heard from Allison Grodner, it'll be frigid, like living on a block of ice, and the lights never go off in there.
Further, the 3rd bedroom is where the losers of the "Have & Have Not" Comps will live for the week. So, in addition to being on slop, they'll sleep in there, and they wont have access to hot showers for the week. Sounds like a recipe for some very happy campers, right? Yikes.
My only question is this: What happened to the "jungle themed room" that Grodner had mentioned earlier? Is there indeed a hidden room this go around?
Finally, the video interviews started coming in. Ross Mathews was the first to deliver on that, and he gave us our first video look & listen of the men. Ross has promised he'll deliver the women today, and we're expecting the videos from quite a few others who participated in the BB11 press junket today, and for the next 7 days.
Will there be more surprises for us to devour in the next 7 days? Bet on it! This is Big Brother, after all. :)

Hey, have you done the math on the houseguests? There will be three in a clique. I can't quite figure out which one each of them will be in. If one is being kicked out and replaced than the three old HG's have to be able to fit the four potential clique spots. Do you think they would go along with this not knowing which of the three? We need a map.

I have to say I was a little disappointed with the HG's after watching the CBS intros, but relieved after watching the videos from Ross. IMO, they couldn't have picked a better host for post house interviews than Ross! I love him!
I'm now even more excited (if that's possible) for the season to begin.

7 more days? I had better work on guitar teaching stuff for the next week hardcore (I will be teaching at two schools in the fall) i will be back on next thursday. i am not good at waiting. once that first eviction rolls in the season will be in full swing!
If it is a former HG, please let it be Brian.

AG said that one person wins hoh and it guarantees safety for the group unless they decide they want to get rid of a member from their own group... Its still an individual game prtty much except that theyre gonna be playing for things together

Im trying to fit those 3 previous hg's into those categories and I sure can't come up with one for Sheila...athletic? brainiac? off beat ? etc.Same for the other 2...Can anyone else categorize 'em?
I'm wondering how strictly BB will enforce the "have nots" from sleeping elsewhere during the day. In previous seasons we know houseguests slept all over the place during the day. It will be interesting to see how they control that. Maybe the 13th houseguest will be a principal/rule enforcer for Big Brother. I also wonder if the returning houseguest(s) are actually potential winners or not. Will they be true houseguests--able to win in the end or just paid to go in the house and be part of the twist.
I am so excited .... can't wait until next week and all the drama gets started!

What's kinda weird to me, since the house has 'gone green' why would they have a bedroom that the lights never go out? That's where I think the lights from the bicycle would have been a good idea. If you need light in that room convince someone to pedal the bike to get the light.
Either way I am sooooo ready for some BB action!

Am I confused? Did I dream it? Or did I really see this, and from Julie I think?
I thought the 3rd bedroom would be a jungle theme.. may ala rain forest. The worst room ever with lots of surprises that would make the HGs sleeping there miserable. If I did see that I was thinking bugs, noises that never stop (chimp yells, creepy crawly things and probably sleeping on the jungle floor. I don't think the room we saw was finished because we just got a peak in the door and a promise that there would be more to come.
Very proud of myself to be commenting on the current post. I don't expect it to last but who knows? For now I am off to pay the online bills. YUCK!

I am so excited I can't stand it!!! Please, please let it be Brian. I just could not handle Shiela. Unfortunately, in my old age I don't remember a whole lot about Jessica except she had a showmance with Eric. Although I have been watching BB since it began I don't have the memory of some of the past HG like others do. Being on Carolyn's site does make more of an impression of HG instead of being a TV only as I was until last season. I remember tons of stuff about last season. Wonder what ever happened to Ted, the spider? Maybe he is going to be the surpise HG!!! I sure am chatty today, guess that means I'm really pumped up for it. Woo-hoo, just think 1 week from today it will all begin!!!

One team will be living in the 3rd bedroom.
I'm beginning to believe that Sheila, Brian and Jessica will be in the house together. Each working a winning team.

Carolyn - In an interview AG was asked about the jungle room it was phrased like "we heard you said there is a jungle room" her response was basically I did not say there was a jungle room not sure where you heard that and went onto explain the "cold room"
I think the former house guests fit into these categories: Jessica-Athletic, she is a cheerleader, Shelia- Popular, she is a former pin-up, and Brian- Brainiac, he over thought his plans while in the house.
Please don't get my hopes up that the better half of team Jeric coming into the house. No way. IT HAS TO BE SHIELA. BIG SHE will keep it REAL!
Is Ross a Guy that had a sex cvhange or is it a girl dressing like a guy? NO offence but he sounds like a girl.
Ok i am confused what is media day? And why was there a competition and a veto etc..Are those not the house guests because I kind of thought that it was hilarious to see the guy in leather.

During the phone interview Allison did with WLBB, she was asked about the jungle room and replied that she didnt remember saying anything about a jungle room, and pretty much dispelled it as a rumor. *shrugs*
At long last, I get to greet everyone properly! :) Whole lotta behind the scenes stuff goin on over here. :)

It's way too much to stand regarding all this breaking news about Big Brother over the past few days.
so looking through the HG's I am seeing some possible pairings in Jeff and Jorden, Russell and Lydia and of course Kevin will be drooling over a lot of the HOT guys.
Carolyn when you said the hidden room will make for some cranky campers you forgot to also include that it will make for some awesome tension which will lead to some great fights I'm sure ;)
