Big Brother 11 HG Intro Videos & Info about the Hidden Room

Very soon, the folks that were involved in the press junket this week will be releasing their videos, and we'll be putting them here within this post.
While we wait, it seems fitting to start with a clip from the mother ship - CBS.
First up, from CBS. Julie Chen and Allison Grodner let on a bit more about the cliques...

Of special interest in Lang's article is info about the as yet hidden room:
- Executive producer Allison Grodner teased that one of the three bedrooms, a jungle-themed enclave, will feature a nasty surprise.
“It is a room that will test their resolve,” Grodner said during a recent tour of the newest “Big Brother” house. “I will go out on a limb and say that it is the worst room to sleep in any `Big Brother.’ After 11 seasons, that’s saying a lot. This is a special treat for the houseguests. Each week, one group of houseguests will end up in this room.”
Ladies and Gentlemen, the mysterious hidden room.Not so terribly mysterious anymore. It's the room all the HGs will want to avoid.

In this latest clip, we see the formerly hidden room, and we learn about the shower on the right.
This season, whichever clique loses the food challenge is doomed to the barren room for the week, and they're also barred from hot water showers. They must only shower on the right side where it's cold.
To be honest, what struck me most in this video, beyond the new details, was the ever growing BabyBot! :-) Julie is glowing! :)
At long last, Ross Mathews is the 1st to deliver the goods on the HG interview video front! Ross' 1st offering: The Men of Big Brother!
I *love* Ross! I'm so glad he's doing this. So funny! He cracks me up absolutely every single time, and he'll be back with the girls tomorrow!

I am really intrigued by the Steven BB10 post abt Jessica BB8, Sheila BB9, & Brian BB10. What could this mean!? I can't wait to be speculating with you all over these next few days!
I think we will have a chance to vote someone in since they are revealing the 13th HG a few days before premiere. Break the news and have us vote on who should come back sort-of-thing.

I think you may be right.. or maybe the HGs will.
But it makes sense. Otherwise, why reveal the 13th on the 7th and not on premiere night?
Oh wow.. I wish they'd show us this room! Ugh.. I'm gonna have to wait to see it until Monday the 13th probably when I'm catching up over the weekend!

Hmm. Re-read the press release and think my theory still works. Veteran HG competes with the winning team each week (with a different one each of X number of weeks). And that gets the winning team the possible advantage of getting the vote of the vet and (when they are down to five HGs) one of the previously returned vets gets to be voted in by the five left to compete for a spot in the final four.
Etch that in glass and we'll see if I'm right.

Great job, Carolyn! If Brian comes back I wouldn't mind that but the other speculations I'm not too excited about! Just have to wait & see how it plays out though! Woo-hoo! There is definitely a mix of personalties though.

Julie looks awesome! The MR is pretty barren. Earlier I said I liked the pool room but I wouldn't want to have to sleep under plastic blankets, yuck. Like the decor but not to have to sleep there. At least in the MR they get blankets. The sound of dripping water in the HOH room with the waterfall would have me running to the b'room all night! haha! But, guess I could get used to it to be in that room if I was stuck in the house!
Just watched the video's and Julie is beaming. Thx for posting them and saving us all the time looking around for info..
Of all the houses thus far, I am really liking this house look the most, dare I say. I would LOVE to sleep in that HoH room, KNOW THAT!

Anyone else think Russell is really good looking, but you think you'll wanna throw some duct tape over his mouth within the first 30 minutes of hearing his voice on the feeds? I'm having a very bad feeling about this man.
Agreed on the BabyBot Bump for Julie. I couldn't help but look and think we'll have a mini ChenBot soon!

They only showed part of the 3rd bedroom. I wonder if there is more to the "nasty surprise" Maybe they will do stuff to make them more miserable like cut the AC or make it very cold. Or maybe the lights won't be able to be turned off. There's all kinds of stuff they could do.
And cold showers are MISERABLE. My hot water heater went out once and it was even in the dead of summer when the cold water is actually tepid and I could barely stand to stay in the shower long enough to get clean.
I gotta watch something until I am watching BB11 so I am watching BB10 on AOL TV. Ok this is gonna be a long wait till BB11, cant watch the kettle boiling yet . . .

I was just on YouTube & saw a video from WeLoveBigBrother. In it, Allison Grodner was talking about the new season. The interviewer asked a question about the reveal of the 13th HG. Allison said that the reveal will be on the 9th not the 7th. I'm not sure if you heard about it or not.
I'm surprised no one has figured out what's so wrong about the third room yet.
It seems pretty obvious to me that the awfulness is that the room is somehow tied to the composting of the human waste and will probably stink to high heaven.

Yay Carolyn! I ordered the feeds from bbdish yesterday and Im soooo excited about this season. I love Ross so Im really glad he will be a part of the Big Brother experience this year. I was wondering about the more in-depth interviews from CBS2. Do you think they'll be posted today or maybe Ross is getting the "dish" early?

Yep, and from the slight 15-20 seconds of Russell, I can almost already tell that he will be a man that I love to hate. Loud and abrasive are 2 very good words for the man. Please Russell, prove me wrong!

OK so I watched every video you posted Carolyn I have to say what a great job you do to keep us all well informed, I loved seeing Ross interview the male hg he cracked me up with the 6 nuggets what great advice he gave, I can see now that Laura is gonna get under my skin shes to into her self I see her and Lydia proberly going at it, Laura reminds me to much of Jen BB8. Like I said in a previuos post i sure hope if any recycled HG that would come back I still stand by Brain BB 10 and Alex BB9. As someone posted on here that Alex is still posting, that really dosent matter as we recall while Alex was in the house last time his buddy (Johnny? I think his name was) Poor Alex really got shafted jumping out of that box.

The CBS2 videos were supposed to be uploaded today, but for some reason, they weren't. The interviewer only stated that they "might be up today, but most likely tomorrow" and asked for fans not to hate her.

How was it that I knew by the time I get here to catch up and comment that Carolyn would already have gone horizontal? Some things never change from season to season. She's still a wuss. LOL LOL LOL!
A lot to digest today and the DQTD didn't let me have much keyboard time. That's fine. Once the feeds start he only exists to feed me and be sure I have cigarettes and cola. (And he knows it.)
Ry, I have to agree with you big time on Russell. But I formed my opinion on that one before I even saw him speak. Even before I read his bio. I'd only attempt to do him with a double socker. (Think double bagger except his face is hot.)
I really can't say I like any of the men this year. Surfer dude, Braden, reminds me of Jesse. In the short interview with Ross Matthews he used all the wrong words in all the right places. A box of rocks come to mind.
Casey and Jeff may be my two fav men. I reserve the right to rethink that at a later time to be decided by me. Is it just the shirt or does Jeff look like a younger version of Jeff Probst?
Ronnie? He may at least be in my top 6. Time will tell. I have to see him in action with the other HGs.
Kevin. Thought I would be all over that just because he's gay didn'tcha? Well I'm not. Another one that rates a wait and see for me.
Now to wait for Ross's interviews with the gurlz.
I noticed in the polls that Lydia is leading big time for the favorite right now. I probably have to agree although I didn't vote for her. I want to find out more about her. Would love for her to be the 2nd and hopefully 1st sane openly lesbian on the show. Yvette and her love for Cappy still gives me the creeps.
Until later... I'll probably stay at least 3 posts behind again tomorrow. Why break a long-standing trend?

Love, love Ross. I think it's so cute he has a picture of his dog, Louise. His daily Talky blog was hilarious. I think he has is going to have a good time doing this show as well as entertaining us.
“Have and Have nots”
“This season we’re going to be revealing to the houseguests, instead of your traditional food competition, we have a ‘Have and Have Not’ competition,” she said. “There will be a group, that if they lose this competition, will be subject to the worse living conditions that we’ve probably had in Big Brother. That will include living in this really sparse, horribly cold, cold room. And having to take cold showers and, of course, subject to that week’s food restriction. This is like living on a block of ice in the middle of a room under bright lights that never turn off.”
The viewers will have some control over the food restriction:
“Starting in the second week… we’re going to put it to the vote, for the viewers to decide what the food restriction is,” she said. “Now the people on food restrictions, basically the ‘have nots,’ will of course be able to have slop and other food condiments that in the house as always. But they will add to that a food restriction that America has chosen. So that will be their main staple. Whether it be sardines, or lollipops, or chocolate, or squid, or whatever it is, we will put it out there for the viewers to suggest and vote.”

I would think the Outcast group will be the most interesting since in high school these people would probably be in three different groups that are considered outcasts or not part of a normal clique. I think the other ones will probably fall in together pretty easy although Chima may resent being in the nerd group since she has looks too and probably thought she overcame that stigma.

And, does anyone else get a feeling Russell is like Jesse from BB10?
