BB13: Thursday Wake-up Meltdown
Good Morning BB Dishers!
Are you on the edge of your seats waiting to see what will happen on the live feeds today? I sure am!
This season has been anything but boring, with the feeds hopping like water in hot oil! There's a lot of tension and anticipation in the house today with the upcoming eviction and HoH competition that many will be fighting for. Yesterday's eruptions have unsettled many of the house guests. If you haven't had a chance to see it for yourself, refer to Carolyn's splendidly crafted Overnight Report.
Today we're expecting the HoH lock down. Awkward! There will also, no doubt, be more Jedi training and strategizing as well as drama.

- Shelly is the only person awake on the feeds it seems.
- Jordan and Lawon are up. Jordan takes her blankets from the Asylum room and goes into the Chrome room.
- Kalia is up and goes to the bathroom. She and Shelly comment on how cold it was last night.
- f1/2 on Brendon and Rachel in the Asylum sleeping, hugging tightly.
- f3/4 following Shelly to the bathroom then to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee and sit at the counter while reading the Bible.
- Brendon says, "You'll be okay right?" They snuggle in.
- BB tells Daniele to change her batteries sternly which she does and goes to say good morning to the sleepers in the Chrome room. Then back up to HoH and under the covers.
- Brendon and Rachel finally get up and go to the kitchen.
- Shelly greets them and ask how they are. Brendon says, "Better days."
- Rachel goes to the bathroom to get ready.
- Shelly asks how Rachel is doing. Brendon bitterly says that he knows he's going home and that he doesn't like the way things happened. He says it will be a season of floaters and that they will pick Rachel off. Shelly says there are people who have her back.
- Jordan is power-whispering with Lawon in the Chrome room, telling him about Brendon and Rachel "throwing her under the bus" and lying, then about her pep talk to Rachel. Lawon says that last week was it for him and now it's game ON.

Rachel comes out to the kitchen with attitude, saying she has no one in the house. Shelly tells her in no uncertain terms that there are people who are there for her. She says the majority of the conversation last night was to look out for her, to make sure that she's not floating, and that she's okay.
Shelly: Sometimes Rachel forgets she was Rachel before she was with Brendon. You are one tough cookie.
Rachel: I volunteer to be the first one to Jury.
Shelly: Don't say that.
Rachel: I should have not said anything.
Shelly: Get that stuff over with and get back in the game... Why?... Especially of all people in here I can't believe you won't say Get ready!
Shelly continues the pep talk, but Rachel is not having it. Shelly counters with, "If you're gonna walk out, walk out today!" It seems not to be having any headway. Rachel is bitter that they fought hard to keep others in the game, winning all but 2 competitions, and now they won't go to jury. Rachel says that she's done and she won't be competing.

Meanwhile Jordan and Lawon are hearing everything in the Chrome room and discussing what Shelly is saying. Jordan calls her a sore loser. Jordan says, "She acts like she con't do anything without him." Lawon tells her he has talked game since day one.

Shelly has had enough at 10:48 AM BBT, and goes to the Chrome room to vent for a bit to Jordan and Lawon about Rachel's pity party. She tells them to come out and help her.
Instead what they do, is to eavesdrop. Shelly is riled up and tells her to get over her pity party. Rachel is determined to tank her game. She says that she talk to the doctors yesterday and she's f'ed up in the head and...

Brendon and Rachel go to the Purple room to continue the pity party in private.
In the kitchen Shelly says she's had enough and won't be wasting her time playing psychologist.

The CBS ad to vote for your favorite player had me cracking up. First, just seeing the words 'favorite player' with Brendon's picture was reason enough for me to chuckle. But the fact that they had him evicted before he was even evicted. How are you supposed to expect the unexpected when even they are already expecting him to walk out the door?
I kept picturing the cars in shows like Get Smart where the driver would push a button and the passenger would go flying through the roof. I could just see the new headlines.
"HG Brendon prematurely ejected from BB house without a parachute." (Maybe even without a pair-a-shoes since they seem to be in such a hurry to push him out the door.)

I've been thinking about how they are going to bring back a houseguest. Do you think they will tell the houseguests tonight that it's going to happen? If whoever gets HOH knows ahead of time that the person they get evicted has a 50/50 shot of staying, how would that effect who you nominate? I'd probably have a meltdown just contemplating all the variables. lol
Thinking about Rachel a lot. I keep thinking she will still be very competitive even if she is a mess. The Ben Folds song "Bitch Went Nuts" keeps going thru my head when I think of how she could potentially act this week.

I think part of this is a plan by Rachel to make people think she's not going to compete tonight....and if not oh dear!
but I kinda think once he walks out the door a serious fire may light in her!
I'm not sure who I want voted back for another chance at the game. It would depend entirely on who is up for eviction. If it's someone I don't like I would want someone who has a chance to beat them. I know Dom's a decent competitor but none of them had much chance to really show us what they can do.
If someone I like gets evicted next week, I guess I would almost hope for Keith to come back because I just have a feeling he's all talk, no action. However, I don't know that for a fact. And I know he doesn't stand a chance in hades so it's a moot point.
If Rachel is evicted next, just for shi*s and giggles I would buy popcorn to watch a Cassi/Rachel smackdown.
Keep in mind, I am basing that last comment on the notion that Rachel will be back to full Rachelness. If she is having some kind of emotional breakdown then I don't want the smackdown-I just want her to go home.
As a footnote, I am listening to the feeds right now. Rachel just said that no one will stick their neck out because they are afraid of going against the house. Didn't Rachel target Cassi because Cassi wasn't afraid to go against the house? Seems to me she did the same thing to Kristin last year.

Brendon is the absolute worst person for Rachel to be talking to. Brendon loves Rachel because she can be controlled and any woman who can't be controlled would not be with him. Even when he is building her up, in a backhanded way he is tearing her down. He isn't telling her anything useful or helpful. They do love each other but I trully believe it's a love born of necessity. They both had empty spaces that needed to be filled. Unfortunately, the chosen person they each found to fill that space was the most unhealthy choice they could have made.
And the downward spiral continues.

You can't argue a person out of depression. As irrational as Rachel is, and she is irrational, she never should have been let back on.

I feel for her (not so much him). But mostly I'm infuriated that the producers let them back on. She should be in 2x a week therapy with a good med chaser. This happens to people. It's not unusual. But it needs to be taken care of or she'll end up with a suicide attempt.

It's easy when you are winning. She fell apart last year when her chickens came home to roost. I have little sympathy with Rachel. If she wants to leave, fine. Her new strategy, though, is to become less of a threat and more of a "floater" (as she defines the word). In her case, not totally stupid approach although she's wrong in broadcasting it. She would be much better shoring up her relationship with Jeff and Jordan at the same time, though rather than isolating herself and brooding. I don't buy this "mental health" angle, though. She's just losing and losing badly.

Good morning everyone. I never thought I would say this but I am seriously worried about Rachel! I think she is beginning to crack under the pressure and Brendon is just egging it on by agreeing with her instead of trying to pick her up. He could do it if he tried. He could encourage he that she truly does have other people on her side i.e., Jeff, Jordan, Shelly, Adam but when they see her behaving this way they are ready to abandon ship. She is literally a self fulfilling prophecy. I really worry about her on the outside of the house. Where is that old 'fighting Rachel'. This is just pathetic. Quit encouraging her Brendon!!! What a PhD jerk!

I don't have the patience for someone to continually cry & not do something to try to make it better. Rachel will not listen she loves to be the center of attention good or bad. She has no intention of walking out or giving up. Whether She realizes it Or not She's manipulating the hg & that is what she blamed others for doing.

I have been away with a house full of company and just fired up my feeds. OMG is all I can say. It is truly sad to watch a person totally melt and this time it isn't her being dramatic, it's very real. They are both in need of counseling on a level as individuals and as a couple. Worst thing they can do is get married before they get them selves in check and get to their inner core issue.
And I believe ED is only going to be on the show as Dani's dad being interviewed about her gameplay. Like Farrah and Dom's BFF. I do not think the HG's will have any interaction with him.
I hope they don't get to interact with him. Rachel will say he blinked twice and that meant he hates her and wants her dead and that Dani will win HOH when she can't even play.
I need a damn xanax and I am not even on the show. UGH!

What a huge a$$ mess! I never was a fan of Rachel but man it breaks my heart to read all of this1 No one should ever feel this low - i hope help is available for her and soon.

All I can say is wow! I am loving me some Shelly right now..lol
I think that with all the new twists coming that cbs is gonna do whatever they can to talk Rachel into not leaving. If she leaves I think it will mess up everything they have planned. We all know that the dr puts ideas out there sometimes, so I wouldn't doubt if they plant the seed to Rachel that its not over, and that there might be a twist down the road. Just my opinion.
I think I continue to watch this show season after season to get furious at the producers for casting people with active mental illness.
Just for the record, what I suspect Brendon has is incurable. Personality disorders are pretty much with you for life. Depression or even manic-depression is very treatable, and Rachel probably does have PTSD from last season. I wonder whether Brendon kept her from getting treatment because he thought he could fix her. I have no idea if that is true, but it is something a narcissist would do. I think he gets that it is beyond his control now (insisting she see the shrink). That is good. Good for him.
Though I think there is a decent chance she will rally without him there, it is not unreasonable at all that he is worried about leaving her.
For what it's worth, I think he genuinely loves her, and vice versa. There is more than a little co-dependence. They are both the best and worst partners for each other. They completely feed on each other, for better and worse.
Hey All! Having to watch on CBS.com for another week, so I am behind the curve. You guys are soooooo right about Rachel...she needs professional help. She really believes that her identity outside the house is affected by what people think/say about her behavior inside the house. The reality is that her self-esteem is dictated by being with a bright, if not domineering, guy and being on BB. And with Brendon leaving and her not having any power, the old self-esteem meter is below zero. She may now be the most delusional reality contestant in TV history

Did you notice (for once) how quiet he was when Shellie was trying in vain to give Rachel a pep talk? I'm glad Shellie called him out for validating her behavior.
He won't make a lot of progress with his research in finding a cure for cancer. He's got a full time job in corralling and keeping Rachel dependent on her.
If the two of them would pull themselves out of their own fantasy world, they would realize that to win, it's more than just being competitors. You have to play a social game and not come off as brashly as they do.
If Rachel stays, they will definitely have to keep that psychiatrist in house!
What do you guys think of the houseguests learning about Brendon's "unveiling" on Skype and subsequent sickening apology on youtube?
I am the last one to defend Brendon, but he is really out of his league. I think he is doing the best he can. There is no right way for a partner to handle this -- except to get her help and then follow doctor's orders.

If I was on a show like BB I probably would not want to watch myself. I probably would not want to read the things that had been written about me. But if I had the year from hell, I probably would not want to go back on the show for a repeat performance.
Rachel had 2 choices. Stay out of the limelight until people forgot about her or come back and try to change her imaage. If she chose the second option then she had to be willing to face herself and admit her flaws and figure out where she went wrong.
She said the mean stuff Brit and Monet said really damaged her image. I don't buy that for a minute. I can wholeheartedly understand that it hurt her. As far as her public image, it made her seem more sympathetic. I liked Rachel for about a hot second last year. Even when I couldn't stand her anymore, it had nothing to do with things Britney, Monet or Ragan said.
I guess I am as frustrated as Shelly right now. I know where Rachel is going wrong. I can pinpoint different mistakes she has made. It's crystal clear to me why so many people don't like her. But if I sat down with her and tried to be as matter of fact as possible and had every intention of being helpful and coming from a caring place, I know it wouldn't make a bit of difference. Rachel would walk away at the end of it all having learned nothing. It would still be her thinking that she tries so hard, she does all the right things and everyone just hates her for no reason.

She is a lost cause. Obviously her game last year cost her a lot, but then don't go back...or at least try to be a different, nicer, softer person. I'm not sure how she validates the fact that it's so horrible for Brendon to be leaving but it's ok for Jordan to go? She is so self absorbed and so wrapped up in how much she dislikes herself she can't fight her way to fix the problem. We sure got a whole lot of info on her past year though. And a lot of us called it last year. I think she needs some serious counselling and Brendon can't help her.

Uff. Having dealt with (and overcome) depression in the past, listening to Rachel is bring back a lot of stuff. I now see what Jane was saying last night: Rachel shouldn't be on the show. She clearly has mental health issues and I can't see this having anything but an adverse effect on her.
And Brendan. It's so disappointing that Brendan's silently validating everything Rachel's saying about herself. Uff this is sad.

I have no love for Brendon or Rachel however I think they need help. It is uncomfortable to watch this break down and it is in no way my idea of entertainment. It disturbs me that BB allows it to continue.
The stark contrast between their relationship and that of Jeff and Jordon is well... even more evidence that Brendon or Rachel should not be in this game.

IMO, the people behind the show do not care one way or the other how the HG are treated mentally inside or outside the house. They cast people hoping for the drama & egg them on accordingly. It happens on every single reality show out there. It's all about ratings & the almighty dollar. To the public they will act like they care & maybe (I would like to think) someone might care. But after Rachel's display last season & things that happened after the show. If they truly cared they would not even have approached her or Brenden about returning.
Wait...I just saw when Rachel was having her pity party with Shelly she wanted to know why people wouldn't just go against the house and vote Jordan out. That makes me think, more than anything, that she is just attempting to sway votes. I don't buy it. If she is being sincere, then I feel for her. But I think she is just trying to manipulate the votes.
I used to think Rachel's refusal to take responsibility for how people feel about her was all just ego based and obviously hiding some serious self esteem issues.
When she went off on Dani yesterday, it was interesting to watch as she just let her anger build and then huffed her way into the DR where the producers apparently egged her on (or so she claims because too often Rachels version of reality is all self made). I remember Rachel told one of the HG in her HOH that she gave a shout out for them, I recall she said she did the same thing last year. I looked at this second HOH and she gave a shout out to her niece.
So then how does she get so riled up that Dani did the very same thing she did? The only explanation is her anger that Dani came up with it before she did and in her distorted view of the world, the rules that apply to others don't apply to her. And Brendon just reinforces that because every time he envisions Rachel was slighted he comes to her defense and never first checks the facts. When he finds out he was wrong then he chastises her for being emotional.
Rachel and Brendon's desperate need to cling to each other seems to stem for a deep dark lonely place that neither has ever understood or figured out needs help. If Rachel doesn't push the red button, I suspect we will be getting triva and palm trees for much of the rest of the season every time her break with reality becomes a little more intense.
Love her or hate her, you have to feel something for the obvious pain she is in.
Hey Jane! You hit the nail on the head. It seems to me that Rachel comes off so brash to hide her insecure feelings. I feel so bad for her mom also, I can't imagine watching my child go through this and not being able to help. But then again, if it was my child I would be kicking the door in to get em out!
Love her or hate her, it's clear she has an illness and deserves treatment.
The Rachel situation has gone from mildly entertaining to not entertaining to sad. The woman is a psychological mess and does not belong in a fishbowl. CBS made a mistake putting her in this situation. This cannot end well for Rachel at all. Either in this "house" set or afterwards. Very sad.

Never been a Rachael fan. I truly believe that if she wins HOH tonight she will bounce right back, if she looses I'm afraid she will really loose it, literly. We all have breakdowns at some point, hers is in the public eye, nowhere to hide in the BB house.
Hey im new to the whole commenting thing but i just want to say that i feel so bad for Rachel. I dont cheer her or Brendon on in the show but as a person i feel so bad.
She is too dependent on Brendon. First she came into the game for herself and now he has had such a big influence on her life that she can barely function without him. Their relationship seems to do more harm than good for her. its heart breaking to watch. :(

Ok. In all seriousness, I have NO idea how Rachel passed the psych test? After just watching this morning's antics on flashback, I think BB should remove her from the house asap. She is certifiable. And Brenden is her freakin enabler! Its ridiculous and very very sad. All of these years I have watched BB, there is always someone having an emotional breakdown, fights, etc but, she is beyond all of that. To have cried and layed in a hammock for 5 hrs yesterday and this morning STILL be in that same place in your head? And not a thing that anyone says to her, "gets" through, kwim? Its plain crazy. Shelly made perfect sense to her when she talked with her this morning. And Jordan did last night and today as well. Nothing,computes. Let her DOR.

So, what a morning, huh. I hear what some are saying ... that today's tirade is part of some master plan to flip the house, but frankly speaking I don't think Rachel's a good enough actress to pull that off. I really think she's living in the moment and her world is a very dark place right now. Her reactions are what we've come to accept as typical-Rachel behavior when things are not going her way. She's paranoid at the best of times and volatile at the most inopportune moments, but she's staying true to what we've seen so far from her.
Drama, drama, drama ... and in all of that a truly insecure person who cannot deal with the extra stress of being a reality-tv villain. I hope someone (BB/AG are you listening?) puts her out of her misery if she does not bounce back tonight .. and I mean that in the most genuine way.

First time she came into the BB house, she came for herself to win. She was independent. Now she can barely think without Brendon. I enjoyed my first nigh with the feeds. I did not watch the start of Rachelle's meltdown last night and from what I have read I don't want to.
I agree with everyone who is saying that she needs real help. I also agree with Jane that she shouldn't have been allowed back on the show.
Maybe her leaving would be the best thing for her. I doubt the producers will let that happen but it should be more important to have Rachelle's mental health cared for.

Watching morning meltdown, Shelly is so...I don't know. Your competing for a half million dollars Shelly, if she wants to go, let her go. If Rachel becomes a floater and Vegas comes back I'd like her more. I do agree with Shelly there. No way Rachel can be non competitive.

Hi, I'm a newbie. Not a fan of the newbies just new to posting. I just really feel for Rachel. I use to be a party girl and I met a nice guy who said it was him or my lifestyle. I chose him and we had a seven year battle of getting me straightened out. I was Rachel. I cried a lot, co dependent, moody, irrational and my mouth got me in trouble a lot. When you stop partying you just don't know who you are anymore. If you are not the life of the party than what exactly do you have to offer? She just hasn't figured out yet how to act if she is not the crazy party girl from Vegas. If she could be that person she would be secure, confident and having a great time. But she is committed to brendon and to moving on from that person. And I believe that she will sort it out and they will have a long and happy life together. BTW after my seven years of pain and misery we got married and have two kids and are very much in love:)

Not sure who said it but deciding on who to vote for to fight to come back against the next evicted houseguest is in itself, and interesting dilema. If you select Brendon, and the next one out is Rach... oh my. Just so many options running through my head. Most bad.
I am almost thinking vote for Keith just to not cause more drama but then that is not the game we all love so much. But if Rach self evicts, then what does AGP do then? LOL. I sorta love to see AGP struggle with new problems. :)

Well I know I'm in the minority, but I understand why Brenden and Rachel are always on the defense. The things Britney and co. said about her and Brenden last yr were horrible. I don't get how ppl defend Brit and even Evel Dick, but admonish Rachel and Brenden.
Brenchel has been public enemy from Day 1 last season. They are easy targets are unfortunately add fuel to the fire themselves. They do brings lots of things on themselves, but I think it's from being attacked so much. Wouldn't you have your defenses up if you were picked on, talked about and teased constantly by every single person, including good 'ol Jordan?
Again, yes Brenchel brings it on themselves, but why is it so bad for them to be hurt? They are actually TRUE fans of this game. Hayden, Lane, Enzo, Lawon, Dom, Cassi - none of them were true fans. They couldn't tell you the difference between Chicken George, Maggie, and Marvin. Most of them were mainly models who lucked up and got on a TV show b/c of their looks. That's like me losing my job b/c I wasn't the prettiest, even though I have the most knowledge...
I am not trying to get ppl to like Brenchel, but I do understand them. They've (by choice) been subjected to so much in-house and internet hate that I understand why Rachel has no self-esteem or self-worth.
Also - it was DANI not Rachel who wanted Cassi out and spearheaded that charge so that Dani could work with Dom. Rachel of course was more vocal about it so she took the brunt of that. Especially when her BFF Jordan started the rumor that Rach was jealous of Cassi for being so darn gorgeous...
- You are only allowed to give shouts-out to your own family members NOT to/for other guests. So Dani is absolutely lying. (Great gameplay though).
- And Brenchel is suffering this week's eviction for not backdooring Jeff last week. I don't get why Jeff/Jordan and their fans are upset b/c JJ are safe b/c of this. Brenchel included JJ in each of their deals and the favor was not returned.
Rachel said it today, but I doubt she heard her own words. She said, "Brendan, before you, I was living in Vegas, going to school and working. I had lots of money and I was this happy girl"
The year she has been with Brendan he has crushed any and all self esteem that girl ever had. It was low to begin with. The way she would say "all I need is Brendan" was kinda scary to hear. This is an emotionally abused women. Just the fact that she is still dealing with Penis-gate is sad. She mentioned it this morning as "the most embarrassing thing in my life" The girl needs to get her self to a councilor pronto..Brendan keeps her down, because if she started thinking for herself again, she would leave his sorry butt. He keeps her grabbling at a dream that is so far fetched it will never come true. (Brendan the inventor of the cure for cancer)
I kind of think it would be hilarious if Rachel just walked out the door with Brendon.
Rachel is her own worst enemy! She's making Dani look like Mother Theresa. She would be stark raving mad by now if ED was still in the house!
She needs to put on her big girl pants and stop acting like a petulant child or she needs to just pack up her shiny toys and go home. I can't see a house full of people putting up with her for very long.
~Wyycked Jules~ I don't think Rachel will leave with Brendon. She has moments of clarity and strength. I think her drive to stay will be stronger than to leave. We won't know for sure until it happens, but I predict she will stay and be far more functional without Brendon, once she gets over the initial shock. But it's hard to know how fragile she really it. She's so prone to drama it's difficult to know where the fine line is between her true pain and her melodramatics.
Just for the record, because it makes me feel better, I've thrown out the word crazy for Rachel, as have lots of others. I think she's bat-shit nuts. But the depression is not crazy, it's a chemical imbalance and a clinical emotional response. She is not crazy. She needs therapy and perhaps some meds. So do millions of others. Depression is very very common. She needs some help and some time.
That other kind of "crazy," the one where she is a loud mouthed wacko in shinny costumes is not a bad crazy. It may be annoying sometimes. It's also fun and full of life. That's her personality, love it or hate it. The pain she is in is something else altogether.
I dont like Rachel, but BB shud be ashamed of themselves for letting her back. period. I was critical of them last year for letting her in, to invite her after she has proven she clearly can't handle it is pretty disgusting.
She shud be taken out for medical reasons and put in inpatient rehab on BB's dime
Just read Dani's blog and she mentions Farrah, Tony, and Josie, but it doesn't say what she said - she said. That could be b/c BB took it out. I don't think Dani would lie about something so intimate. She doesn't have a husband or children, but she's been in love before, I don't think she would stoop so low. I think she wrote it, didn't know she couldn't and BB took it out. Maybe we will never know for certain.
Please let Rachel be okay and please no one vote for Brendon to come back in. Is in not in her best mental health interest. Once apart, they need to remain apart. If she misses him that bad, no amount of money (stipend) will keep them apart. She can always hit that red button and leave.

Wow, what a night and now today, it has been. I agree that Rachel should leave the house with Brendon. She's no good to anyone anymore and I don't think anybody wants to take on that drama, especially Jeff.
I am totally going to vote for Dom to come back. Dani needs his support in a house that is completely against her (man, I wish ED wouldn't have left).
