Final 2 Interview with Dan's Sister Kelly

Good afternoon, Big Brother lovers. Seeing as Dan has now made the final 2, I thought it was high time we checked back in with Dan's sister Kelly for another little interview.

BBDish Carolyn: Watching all the pranks between Dan & Keesha, did it feel familiar?

Kelly: Oh my. Watching Dan and Keesha is an absolute trip. THAT is the little brother Dan I know so well. Especially the scare tactics. I've been snuck up on many many times.

And while we are on familiar... it has been great to watch the Dan and Renny interactions, too. I swear I've witnessed the same bantering and hounding and question dodging between my mother and Dan. Renny was definitely his "mom away from mom."

BBDish Carolyn: Do you feel Dan's gotten a fair and accurate edit on tv?

Kelly: I've guiltily watched many hours of the live feeds this summer. And it seems the CBS edit (of Dan) has been pretty accurate and true to the actual happenings in the house. Dan, in the Big Brother house, has been the lil kid let loose in a candy store. He's been silly and really took this opportunity to just have fun. Dan is truly a great guy, and although he had to make some strategic moves that really ARE part of the game, he has made us all so proud.

BBDish Carolyn: How do you think the votes are going to come down?

Kelly: This is a question that I haven't put any thought into. I'm not sure if I think I'm going to jinx it, or maybe, I just don't have a clue. Its so hard to speculate, especially with this season's cast. As we all know, it is really based on whether the jury decides to vote personal or based on game.

BBDish Carolyn: In your estimation, why does Dan deserve the win over Memphis?

Kelly: This is a really hard question to answer. Of course I would love to see my brother win this game. In my opinion, he played a very well thought out, almost flawless game. YES, even the Replacement Nominee Roulette. He was weak when he needed to be, and when the time was right, he basically annihilated his competition... but definitely with the help of...

Memphis and the Renegade alliance...

Which I have grown very fond of. It would be different if Dan was in the Final 2 with someone I felt absolutely didn't deserve to be there. But the guys worked together, trusted each other, won comps for each other, and were true to their alliance. I whole heartedly believe that both Memphis and Dan deserve to be sitting together as the Final 2. And that is what makes it hard.

So my official answer is: as a huge Big Brother fan, I believe Dan deserves to win Big Brother 10. He formulated both a short and a long term game, and executed. And that is what I believe is the definition of a true Big Brother winner.

BBDish Exclusive Interview with BB10 Keesha's Boyfriend JJ

In our ongoing series of interview with the family, friends and loved ones of current houseguests, here's part one of the interview with JJ: Keesha's boyfriend!

Carolyn: Hi JJ. Thanks so much for making the time to talk with me...

JJ: Hi Carolyn. This week has been like a roller coaster watching Keesha.

Carolyn: It's gotta be tough watching her on the block, even though she's not the target. How are you dealing with it?

JJ: Keesha being on the block is always hard to deal with. Personally, I think Memphis should have stuck with taking out Dan. I think that Dan has the votes to win. The situation puts me on the edge of my seat. My approach would have been more Matrix Style: take out the opposition with guns blazing.

Carolyn: Even so... Keesha's made it to final five. Congratulations!

JJ: Thank you. :)

Carolyn: Did you ever think when all this began that she'd make it so far, not really knowing the game before she walked into the house?

JJ: Before Keesha first left for the show, we had a few nights together where we talked about strategy. So far she has done exactly what she said she was going to do. From day one she thought that she was going to be one of the last few in the house. So far, so true. We talked about her just being a genuine person, I think that has taken her as far as she has gotten.

BBDishCarolyn: Were you a fan of the show before Keesha became a part of it?

JJ: I was a fan of the show before she was on. My friend Zach was on season 8, and I watched as much as I could of him as he battled Evel Dick.

Carolyn: Has Zach been a Big Brother mentor, so to speak?

JJ: Zach has help me understand the game. The process of the end vote is a surprise to me. So are some of the competitions. They look like fun... and then you see a guy like Memphis fall and come off a rope shaking and unable to walk. Seems kind of unfair to the Ladies playing the game.. My real mentors have been all the people who have contacted and shown me the way... All the Keesha fans out there: what Up?! Thanks for looking me up and putting out the cool video's of her and I together. To all the BB 10 fans: You guys are great!!


Carolyn: OK.. What's the story with the ebay auctions you and Zach put up?? Inquiring minds...

JJ: Well... Zach and I were having a lot of fun... and a lot to drink! That is what two crazy guys can come up with one of their girlfriend's is locked up in a house for two and half months. Zack is a very good friend, and being in the same business, we come up with some left field ideas.

Carolyn: Why did you take everything down? The auctions disappeared really quickly.

JJ: We took the items down, because I just didn't feel right about it. As fun as the idea sounded while drunk, I love Keesha, and her and I should do things like that as a team. However, I know that she will be laughing when she gets home. I would. I think that it all started when Zach told he he got $400 for the pair of boxers he was wearing right before he streaked the pool.


BBDish Carolyn: OK.. fair enough... So what's your take on Michelle, Ollie and Jerry's behavior last week? In terms of all the below the belt name calling...

JJ: Wow... I remember that. I think that they were just really bored people with nothing better to do than lie and pick on people. I had to look at the source. None of them were worth listening to.

BBDish-Carolyn: While we're on the subject of other HGs, what's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of each of the final 5?

JJ: Renny - I think that Renny could win, if she doesn't get the shaft. She seems very nice, takes care of the house and has won the votes of the other HG's.
Dan - He plays well, but no one can trust him.
Memphis - Why why why can't you see that you can't trust Dan???
Jerry - I'm gonna give you a piece of my mind when I see you. Keesha was the only person that was nice to you, and you put her up on the block.. What do they say about a dog that bites the hand that feeds them?
My dearest Keesha - I Love you, and keep up the good game! Some how, some way I hope you find the path you need to win.


BBDish-Carolyn: How have you been watching Big Brother 10?

JJ: I watch it all.. I believe that anyone who has a loved one on the show would. Both Gizmo and I watch the shows, and I check the updates as much as I can. I can't do it 24 hrs a day, however, if I have a computer on, usually one of the screens is on the live feeds. The tv broadcast... it seems like a quick re-cap of the weeks events.. The feeds are fun. The show just shows the highlights.


BBDish-Carolyn: Last but not least... If you could have a 3 minute uncensored phone call with Keesha right now, what would you want to tell her?

JJ: There is so much to tell her. I don't think that 3 minutes would do.. The #1 one thing is that I love her.

BBDish Exclusive Interview with BB10 Dan Gheesling's Sister Kelly

Because of the promos and pre-season interviews, we started the season with all kinds of preconceived notions about the Big Brother 10 houseguests. This statement applies more to one HG than the rest, and his name is Dan Gheesling. We were ready to toss him out with the bathwater before the live feeds even sparked up for the first time...

Now with a week of Dan under our collective belts, we're getting to learn who he really is, and I gotta tell ya, I'm impressed. Tonight's Diary Room session on the Sunday Show makes me even happier I chose to make this the first family interview of the BB10 season.

BBDish-Carolyn: Hi Kelly. Thank you for making the time to talk with us. Dan's fast gone from one of the most hated in the house to one of the most loved. Those pre-season promos sure weren't kind!

BB10 Dan's Sister Kelly: You're telling me! :)

BBDishCarolyn: CBS made sure we knew his politics. What would you like the BB loving audience to know about your brother?

Kelly: Dan is very strong in his beliefs and morals. I can't argue that. Quite frankly, I think it is a very admirable trait of his. Of course the pre-show interviews capitalized on his political and personal stance on controversial issues, however, as you can see now in the house, he is definitely not the type of person to judge or push his beliefs on to other people. The more time he spends in the house, the more I see the real Dan. The funny, fun-loving, compassionate, and loyal person that he is. All of that is not show...that is the brother that I know so well. Even though, I have never seen him with a mustache until last night.

BBDish-Carolyn: Had you ever watched Big Brother before this season? Dan seems to be a student of the game...

Kelly: Big Brother has been our family show since Season One. We are loyal feed watchers and forum readers. So you have to imagine what a surprise this was to our entire family. Dan has watched seasons on and off, but I know he is a huge Dr. Will fan.

BBDish-Carolyn: Have you been watching Dan on the Live Feeds?

Kelly: Of course!

BBDish-Carolyn: This week, Dan's on the block, but he's definitely not the target. How are you and your family dealing with it?

Kelly: Watching Big Brother is always intense when your favorite player is on the block.
Its just a little more intense when its someone you are related to. :) But, whether or not he makes it another week or another month, we are so incredibly proud of him. We back him 100% and if this is his week to go, I know he'll come home with such a great experience and amazing stories for us all.

BBDish-Carolyn: What's your take on Dan's game play thus far?

Kelly: Going into the house, I wasn't sure what his approach was going to be. But one thing I knew for sure was he was set on continuing to be a role model to his students and his football team. I think Dan is playing a straight and loyal game with integrity. He's a smart, crafty guy though... he takes in and observes more than some of them might realize. I'm positive many of his moves are calculated. And its good to see that he can do that without compromising who he is or what he stands for. It's kind of a breath of fresh air in the Big Brother house.

BBDish-Carolyn: Last but not least... If you could have a 3 minute uncensored phone call with Dan right now, what would you want to tell him?

Kelly: Right now I wish that I could tell Dan how proud I am of him. And how much I miss him. And how much we all miss him. Dan is such a huge part of our family, its hard not being able to pick up the phone and check in on him. I would ask him what he has up his sleeve, because I know there is a master plan...and of course, I would tell him to get Libra and Memphis out stat....but...something tells me he already realizes that needs to be done.

BBDishCarolyn: Thank you very much for making the time, Kelly! :) We wish Dan the very best of luck, and we hope to hear from you more as the season progresses.
