Overnight Lite ~ A Proposal, Nominations & a Clarification. I Smell a Rat!
Good morning, BB Lovers! Happy Saturday to you! At some point today, our BB16 HGs will be playing for the Power of Veto, but first... Let's get you all caught up on what went down last night. Quick -like!
First up, Jeff finally popped the question, and Jordan said yes! Mazel Tov to the happy couple! About damn time, Jeff.
Apropos to their meeting in the Big Brother house, they brought it all back to the backyard, and the Big Brother 16 HGs were there for it all. We'll be seeing their engagement party on the Sunday Show. Personally, I would have preferred a luxury comp for our current HGs, but I can certainly understand the ratings allure of returning America's favorite BB couple to the backyard for a segment.
Next, as expected, Frankie nominated Cody and Victoria. All of the HGs will play in the Power of Veto Comp today. As a reminder, since the Rewind Button has already been hit, neither Noms nor PoV really matter this week.
Everything will be rewound on the live show Wednesday night. Fan-wise, and I'm sure production-wise as well, it would have been MUCH better if the HGs had labored over the decision to push the button and perhaps not done it til the last possible moment. It sure would have kept my interest more peaked.
OK.. now onto the Clarification. I really hate the clarification. Derrick fans, I'm sorry. Chenbot had a malfunction. It happens. While Julie Chen had initially stated that ALL HGs would be able to compete in the next HoH, she has since retracted that statement. Here it is in black and white, and pink, because I had to make something about it pretty.
And.. Just in case the graphic above doesn't show up for someone: UPDATE: Julie sent the following update for clarification on this point: "To clarify: All the Houseguests, who competed last night, will play for HOH all over again. Sorry for any confusion. Chenbot malfunction. What the bleep #%€?¥!?”
So, as of right now, barring any more clarifications, Derrick will NOT be able to compete for HoH come Wednesday Night.
Now on to the Rat! America has voted, and much to their delight, Team America has received their next assignment.
Frankie and Derrick plan to tackle this task Saturday night, so as not to interfere with their own PoV prowess, and keep everyone up til 6am Sunday. It should be a hoot!☺
Listening to the live feeds as I'm writing, it's been flashback funny worthy since the moment I began at 3:07am, starting with an innocent Victoria comment that cracked up all the guys and progressing into a very frank, often amusing sex education class for Victoria.. Sex ed for the virgin from the perspective of the 20something male. What could possibly go wrong? ;-)

I hope there are no more coming. They said rewind. It would make no sense for Derrick to be able to compete in back to back HOH's. fortunately for him Team America is keeping him safe. I hope Cody and Victoria stay on the block and the rewind happens after the eviction vote. I hope Derrick votes Cody out
I am a little confused isn't frankie the hoh right now so wouldn't he not get to play..Derrick was hoh during double eviction...then frankie
Thanks, Carolyn!!! <3 Really didn't like the gold button twist until I found out that Frankie won HOH. I know he can still will the next one, and/or (very likely) the POV. I could strangle Caleb for not back-dooring Frankie when he had the chance. Haven't been posting as much as I had in prior seasons, but lurking. You do just a fabulous job. Have a great weekend. xxoo
The rewind will happen just before the vote.
Frankie gets to play because if the rewind is done it sets the game right back to the moment AFTER Christine was voted out. Derrick was the HOH who put her up. As such, he doesn't get to play in the next HOH comp. The HOH comp the Frankie won never happened at the point the rewind goes into effect.
in the middle of the live eviction the game will stop cody nor vic would know who voted them out or not and im sad derrik wont play hoh
OK, so I love Jeff and Jordan, but the BB House isn't exactly what I would expect from Jeff for a proposal.

I feel same, I am confused on the HoH deal as well. I thought I had it right in my head but the more I think about it the more confused I get, LoL! :O)
Nancy, as I understand it, the 'rewind' will be to the second HOH that night, which is Frankie's. Since Derrick was outgoing HOH, he was unable to play. Same rules apply.

The thing I don't understand is the numbers. Five players left,
no one goes home the 10th, that leaves the 17th to get us down to three players for the 24th finale.
So doesn't there have to be a double eviction, or are we going to have a final four instead of three to fight it out the last day.
Or, am I missing something entirely? Help!
At this point in the game, the reset button is meaningless. There can be no power shift and It makes a boring week even more boring. The only possible hiccup will occur if they announce who would've been evicted - then Derrick is forced to show his cards (if noms don't change). And the only way that changes anything is if Derrick votes out Cody and then Cody becomes HoH and targets Derrick.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. We're getting some cooler weather which is nice, super hot and humid yesterday. I know, what am I complaining about, it's been in the 70s almost all summer with only a day here or there higher. Really nice Summer overall.
As I mentioned in the last post this rewind will really mess Frankie up, happy dance, because he has to put his cards on the table as it were. If Cody or Victoria win POV his renom will be telling. Either way though if he doesn't win HOH or POV after the rewind I think he is gone this time, hopefully.
At first when I read, I smell a rat, I thought you were talking about production again with this clarification. But no, a real, fake rat running through the house. As dirty as it is I wouldn't be surprised if they had one. Don't know if they'll be successful though as they could just go up to HOH room and have a must smaller area to cover. Then ask production to get it. Maybe it will be fun though.
I haven't been watching much lately. I turn on the feeds and nothing is happening so I go play The Sims 4 instead.

I really hate to hear the clarification that Derrick want be able to compete. I personally think he is the only one left who can beat Frankie in a mental comp. The other ones don't stand a chance. Very unfortunate.
Seems to me that Frankie will win Wednesday's HOH too, so nominations will remain the same. If by some twist Frankie lets the HOH slip through his fingers, he's a shoe-in to win the POV so he won't be going home anyway. I suspect this rewind button will amount to a whole lot of nothing.
I'm kinda disappointed in the TA challenge, they stay up all night anyways so I don't think it would be that hard, plus it says wear down the competition by.... But if they wait until after the POV then what's the point of wearing them down? Idk I just think that one is way to easy!

Someone somewhere at sometime has coached Frankie to open his dang mouth when the camera is on him. Please, ppl, take note of this on live shows, all pics taken and when he is aware of the cameras on him. There has to be a very insecure person inside of him.
HGs, if Frankie is playing, you will not be winning. I reckon you should have set him free when you had a chance, BMC.
Speaking of BMC...he is far too aware of Frankie's fame to cross him. He has delusional ideas that Frankie will hook him up w/ his sister ..maybe to sing w/ her, etc. He has delusions he will go on a date and still have a relationship with Amber. He thinks..no, HE KNOWS he is America's Fav (Frankie thinks he is, also). He often has a fleeting great idea for a move, but hears the voice whisper and he makes a turn back in line.
Cody allows ppl in his head and has very few original ideas. He allows these ppl to turn him up or down. He is just a cuddly bear. Although, I did not like that he allowed the voice coming at him to change his mind about Donnie. He did know that Christine was good for his game to take to the end...but he ALLOWED the voice coming at him to sway him.
Nicole thinks the house ifsrun by Frankie (who is misted by the Voice).. She is mad at Cody (who is led by the Voice). Believes Caleb to be too loyal to the group (who is led by the Voice). However she is unaware of the VOICE!!!
Victoria, precious innocent childlike darlin', hears only the VOICE.

At first, I was going to vote team America option A, but after quick thinking I didn't want Frankie to have any nutritional edge on the other HG's. My first motivation was hopes that Frankie would get caught by the other HG's eating and they would see what a sneak he really is and work to get him out, but I didn't think there would be enough HG's jumping on that bandwagon.
They seem intent on jamming up Derrick's game. I guess I am a growing conspiracy theorist!

It's not Team America keeping Derrick safe. It's Derrick's brilliant strategy of 'sucking' at comps... so he has a F2 with all of them. Not expecting Victoria to bring him, but the others most likely will.

It's a Rewind Button, as if this last HoH never happened... with other words, Frankie is not really HoH at the moment. ;-) Well he is, for our entertainment... but that is it. He may very well win again and it all be a complete do over.
I have a feeling it will all play out LIVE as if there was a DE, without the Double.
The best convo of the evening was Caleb comparing Vic's ideal man to Caleb trying to purchase a new truck with bad credit. It was ROFLMAO funny, and I don't roll to often! After sex discussion... 3:46 AM cam 1/2
Sounds like production is meddling and trying to kill Derrick's chances. I'm sure the picture was the beginning and now he cannot play in the comp. What a bunch of bull. Sounds like the political arena lives in big brother production room. Sad to see them destroy such a flawless player.

Thanks for the heads up on the convo with boys and Victoria. I find her refreshing because personally I am so fed up with the over sexualization in our culture today. I am not religious, nor a prude and grew up in Sweden for heaven's sake... but I find the way kids just have sex these days sad. It has become just another 'going to the bathroom' act for so many. And somewhere the generations before us shake their head... because there was something to the "don't give the milk away for free". It really has not helped long term for many young women today. Why should a guy commit? Just saying.
It was interesting that this 'saving yourself' convo shut Frankie up finally and he went back to the HoH bed. I find him being all over the guys this season has been no better than Christine with Cody.
I agree with Jumbo. For the Rewind to make things interesting.... they must do a Vote Eviction first...then announce who is being evicted...and THEN tell them it is a Rewind. You never know, who could turn on who, and what the repercussions could be. Things could be said that the HG couldn't take back.
So I went back and watched the convo with the boys and Vic about sex this morning. you were right well worth watching. Might change your mind about your credit score. :) I think Vic has three new Big Brothers that she can call fir advise and look out any guy who hurts her. BMC will be coming after you and well as a pissed off cop. She is so innocent in some ways you can't help but like her.
Contrary to what it may initially seem I think this all helps Derrick game more than anyone. By having a new TA mission no matter how easy, Frankie will now definitely keep him because he wants more missions and more money. Also I don't think Derrick would want to win this HOH even if he could play because he would show his hand too soon. He has no reasoning he could use for which guy goes up with V. Also he can't risk putting Frankie up initially because if he came down Derrick would be enemy No. 1 and his odds of surviving that are not good. It's best that he "can't" play because he's protected by all of them any way. Best case scenario Cody wins rewind HOH and Frankie gets sent packing.
I don't understand why people are worried about Derrick not playing for HOH after the rewind. Unless he does something drastic to blow his game, there is no way he would be voted out. Frankie is the only possible vote against him. No matter who Derrick is up against he would stay.
Carolyn, just admit it, like the rest of us. It's boring and interest is lost since Zach left.

It will be interesting to see if he pulls down Victoria and puts up Derrick ( we all know this doesn't matter, but they don't). If anything it hurts Frankie's game if he does.
I cant believe I'm saying this, but this vulgar man deserves to be in the final 2 with hopefully Derrick. I don't hate people but I dislike Frankie TREMENDOUSLY! He is the beast mode vulgar man I've ever met. Btw I have many gay/straight/ heterosexual friends and they all think the same. I have a friend who writes for a big blog ( lol, I don't mean to sound like Caleb, haha) he is a gay black man and finds him disgusting. Anyway, here is how I would like it to go. Derrick and Beast Mode Frankie in final two ( this way Ariana can't have a say in Americas favorite). Poor Caleb, well suck it up because I highly doubt ( I would bet my mortgage on it) you won't won't A.F. Then Donny or maybe even Zack win A.F.
