When April voted for Dan, my jaw dropped. Ollie.. Michelle... Holy smokes. For the record, this is a Big Brother record! Dan is the first house guest to ever win Big Brother by a unanimous vote!!

I know it's just not possible that I'm first - but - posts so far! Yeah! I watched the show here, Carolyn, even with the words across the video, while my sister and daughter watched inside about 10 secs behind me! So fun to scream - scream - scream! before they knew for sure!

I am so glad BB ended the way we all wanted (well the majority of us) It was so worth voting everyday for Keesha. I wanted to nab Brian and kiss him, ha...and Stephen. April and Michelle were a little taken aback about the Keesha statement. LOVE IT

What a letdown though, I have no more feeds to look forward to. I will be watching everything I can on the aftershow parties, etc.
I am so glad Keesha won AP! I voted as much as I could, on two different computers. I believe if it wasn't for us, Jerry would have got it - he DIDN'T deserve it at all, I am sorry to say.

Wow, oh Wow, oh wow!!!! What a great season! Carolyn, what a great job to a great end! I am very happy for once the jury voted for the game not the feelings....if that makes any sense. I am happy Keesha got the vote because I feel like Renny will make lots of $$ w/o the 25K. Renny has soo much talant she can go on and host her own talk or cooking show...she can even open up a chain of salons! Again! I think that this is the first season that I felt so strongly about the houseguests.

Dan the Man! April did stun with her vote, wow, didn't see that one coming. She was quiet during the jury segment too. Can't believe he swept it. I had some doubts about best player ever but now Dr. Will has to hand that crown over because it's going to be a long time before Dan is dethroned. Long live the BB King!

WOW!! Yeah for Dan!! Yeah for Keesha!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooooooo happy for both of them. I loved what Libra had to say tonight. BUT my favorite speech was from Brian. He truly hit the nail on the head. I do have to say I was pleasantly surprised by April & Ollie's vote. They put all the sour grapes aside and truly voted for who they thought played the best game. I respect both of them for that.

Well everyone, I'm horrible at goodbyes--even temporary ones. But did as good a job as I could in the last post, at least without typing a novel.
Unfortunately, I have to return to regular life now, and that means taking a shower and hitting the sack so that I can wake up early. But again--and a thousand times more--THANKS to EVERYONE for a wonderful season here, and THANKS to all of you for the incredible kindness you've shown to me.

FROM BREE....Carolyn..dont make me cry! i know...its been hard..ive been in and out of the hospital alot,my neutropenia decided to be overborad the severe chronic part go figure..this unruly body of mine..:) its okay..im still here..:) its all i can ask for and god gives me alot to smile about even when im having a rough time..you,my puppy,my family,the sun every morning,the smell after rain...genie sea..love and hugs back to you..thank you... please everyone thank carolyn and all who assist her,please be kind...please acknowledge their hard work,their love for this hysterical show that continues to draw me in...and please show her thanks with a kind tip..even a little tip says alot..love hugs smiles and prayers to my carolyn..im so sorry i didnt check in ive been sicker this year than i have in the last couple,but i promise i will try to be better..even if i sneak in a laptop into the hospital or to the infusion center...they get really mad about electronics...i loeft tip and much love MISS BREE

SamanthaM, yes, by myself but I have made it hundreds of times. Used to drive it from Landing every weekend in the spring and fall, when the kids were smal. Kids had school but my antique shop was open Weekends spring and fall up there full time in the summers, now I just work part time for my brothers shop.
I used to drive back and forth to Fla alone all the time, back in the nineties. Actually the Santa Fe I have now is a very comfortable ride and the only thing I can make the trip in without my back bothering me. (my brother says the same thing about it and his back is much worse, he really likes driving it, something about the contours of the seats. I drove over 50 different cars before I bought this one. Very good on gas, and never had any real trouble with it, has been amazingly maintenance free. But the comfort for my back is the biggest thing. My mom has real severe osteoporosis with frequent spinal fractures and she finds it comfortable too. so all of you with chronic back problems next time you are car shopping new or used try riding in a Santa FE (Dan would hate that, not a Ford, but Hyundai)

I missed a lot last season. I had the feeds but once the show was over I turned them off. I think it was because I really didn't care for the winners last year. This time I want to know more and see everything.

Honestly I wasn't that surprised that Dan got a full sweep of votes. He played the best of the best.
I think if Memphis had won at least one HoH, he may have given Dan a run for the money. Yet he did not, so that did play against him in the end. These people all signed up to play a game and in the end they voted game play. Too cool!

I just realized that I forgot to have supper. Got so busy heading right to Dish after running all day clean forgot to eat.
Do any of you shop at Kohl's? (I had a 30% off total purchase peel off on my flyer, 30% percenters are like gold, usually get 15%) plus everything I wanted was on sale 50% off already.
Ever since The Northern exposure episode with the dust mites, hehe, I have been a real freak about replacing my pillows, pillow covers and mattress pad/covers and such very frequently. They were all on sale. Plus of course some clothes for the granddaughters, and new Reebok sneaks (for my back and bad left foot-broke very badly in 5 places in 2000, never been right since). Hate shopping too, but easy there. Thank goodness for a Kohl's charge and that I haven't used it this year, wallet is empty.
Gaytor will you be leaving final thoughts late tonight? if so looking forward to it, as a kind of final hail and farewell to BB!). Hugs, you are so entertaining, and always make me smile.
I'm going to miss you all so much, sniff, until we meet again for Survivor and TAR, but I will be checking in to see who's about and what's happening.

Yeah, for Dan & Keesha...
Was I ever surprised they all voted for Dan... Glad they all voted on the gameplay...And so excited for Keesha. And the look on Aprils face was priceless. Was nice to see her hug Keesha and was happy to see Keesha & Memphis hug as well... I love Renny, but I felt she really played it up tonight...sorry...Her speech & Brians took alot of time and felt bad that Angie didn't get to express how she felt...But, I did like what Brian said. He nailed it...
I can't believe it is over...((wiping tears)) I absolutely loved this season. My sis in law was always talking about BB but I never watched until BB9, tv only. It is so much a different game when you watch BBAD and are here with all of you fantastic people. You all have helped me get through a very tough summer. Thank you all very much... And Carolyn, thank you for being so sweet and kind. I loved everyone's poetry and fav sayings for this season. I am not too poetry savy so I greatly appreciated all of them...

I'm soooo happy that Dan won, and Keesha!!!!! I just got all my kids to bed, so I haven't got to read all the comments yet, BUT I have a serious question. Exactly how did Dan "mock" Ollie? Maybe April and Ollie's definition of mock is different than mine, did anybody else think it strange that they thought Dan "mocked" them? Anyways....glad they voted on gameplay! Yay Dan, Memphis and Keesha!!! Best season ever!!! You're truly the best Carolyn!

Wow! what a night! I can't believe that its over. :( I can't wait till BB after dark comes on. Oh yeah, not! I'm having withdrawals already. Carolyn and everyone else, what a wonderful job you guys do keeping us all informed of what has been going on. Can't wait until BB11. Hope it will be as good as this years. Hubby, kids and I all wanted Dan to win which was amazing since usually its a divided house. Anyway, thanks to everyone and can't wait to see the new pictures and interviews. Got to have my fix! Noni: Wow, can't believe you make such long trips on your own. I love to drive, so I don't mind driving for a few hours on a trip. But, I am way too hyper and antsy and I need someone to talk to, even if I do all the driving. I have some great memories of road trips up to the Cape with friends years ago.
Yes, we were at Nixon tonight. I love the teacher, but near the end she was talking to my husband and me, and I was looking at the clock thinking hey, I have to get the hell home for BB! LMAO. Marci: I forget who mentioned it in a comment earlier tonight, but I agree with whoever said that Jeery probably came in second because the people that liked Keesha AND Renny split the vote. I remember until Keesha got treated so badly by Memphis, a lot of us were going to vote for Renny. Then, we switched to Keesha. But, still, Keesha and Renny share a large fan group of a lot of the same people. So, they split the votes between Keesha and Renny, resulting in Jeery coming in second. I'm just so happy that we were able to give Keesah the win!

What a terrific ending to a terrific season! These people were so much more fun to watch than some previous seasons. They seemed to know how to amuse themselves and have fun...and entertain us all at the same time!
I liked the variety in age....wouldn't it be fun to see more variety and divide the house into three 20somethngs, three 30somethings, three 40somethings, three 50somethings and a couple older ones just for good measure?
I'm thrilled with the outcome...wanted Dan to win, but like many others wouldn't have minded if Memphis won.....both gave up lots of good memories inside the house. Thanks to both of them for a great season!
Thanks for all you do to keep us so informed! I don't do TAR or Survivor so I won't be back till the next BB...whenever that will be!

i just watched the show again to catch anything I missed the first time :) and I must say that Memphis is a really great guy. I hope Ashley hangs on to him! What a good sport and, as it seems to me, a loyal friend. We become such a "part" of these people's lives while watching & listening to them for 70 days. It makes me really hope Dan & Memphis stay friends for a long time. PS - on the refeeds we have Dan & Memphis bonding in the hot tub about their girlfriends. This was all the way back on July 21.
I think this was the first complete sweep.

I am still in post show afterglow. This is the first time in BB history I have chosen the winner and it was actually someone I really liked. I guess 1 of 11 is better than 0 - 11.

Btw, I just thought of this after seeing that pic from the finale with the boys in the green chairs awaiting the verdict. Did anyone else here notice that after Julie read the second vote, which was April's, and it was surprisingly for Dan, that Memphis reached over and shook Dan's hand? That was with only two votes in so far, but it seemed to me like Memphis was saying Wow, if April of all people voted for you Dan, then congrats, because you definitely won.

Sanmantha, recent years I have had my granddaughters to drive up with. But since they moved to fla I'm on my own. Although when they were up in June visiting, the girls and I drove up and back together so my daughter and son in law could drive up by themselves. The girls and I ALWAYS stop at Mystic Aquarium and village(awesome fudge there in the village, have stopped every trip that I have passed through during business hours for 30 yrs). The little one goes crazy over the Beluga whales. And the touch pool where you can see and touch the rays, when they poke up out of the water their little faces look like they are smiling, they are so cool to touch.
We sing, play the license plate alphabet game, try to spot the most different state license plates and other car games. We usually arrive hoarse from singing, their still young enough to like me singing with them.
My daughter and son in law do not enjoy long drives with kids. They bring a stack of movies for the dvd player and don't even allow the girls to sing along with their ipods. I like to hop off on side trips when we find something that rickles our fancy. Last year we did the Roger Williams zoo in RI. We've been to Battleship cove, Plymouth,Mystic seaport, and lots of other places on the way.
Hey Carolyn, did anyone ever say dish blondie looked a bit like Suzanne Someers? Just saw a pick of her on TV.
I'm rewatching the finale and I thought I heard it the first time...but I definitely caught it the 2nd time.....Ollie saying (as he put his key in) unforgivable..then quickly corrected as unforgetable. LOL!
DKZWV, that might help avert a repeat of mob mentality. It would be very interesting to see how alliances develop. I would like more even more of a cultural and ethnic mix too.

JulieB. I agree about long trips alone. I used to go on a lot of scuba trips alone to the caribbean, etc. In 97 I did my dream driving trip.I started out inland NJ to PA to West VA, to western NC, SC, GA, then back up the East coast to Cape Cod. Stayed in a different place every night over a month played a different golf course every day. Spent 5 days In Maggie valley in near AshvilleNC at a hotel with golf school, tough course over hill over dale in the mountains there. Of course in those days I could afford it. That was my post separation gift to my self, hehe. Ex called me 9 days into the trip and wanted to join me. I said no, smartest decision I ever made, that was one merry go round I had to get off, although we are good friends now, he still wants to get back together but I want no 3 person marriages, me, him and his mother, hehe. maybe when she's gone. He lives in Russia now, teaching English, don't know how that happened he's Italian and can't even speak that. But did date a YOUNG girl from the Ukraine for about a year just after we split.

Noni: You sound like such a fun grandmother, those lucky girls! We're just the opposite of your daughter and son in law - we don't like long trips without our kiddo along. He is EXCELLENT in the car and has been since infancy. He rarely sleeps in the car (even at night) because he doesn't want to miss anything. We often do what you do and take diversions on our road trips. Driving just a few hours away for the weekend often turns into a six hour trip. Well, we often get mega lost almost every trip and it's pretty comical because we blame eachother.
Oh, I will NEVER have a DVD player in the car. This kiddo has everything he could ever want but I cannot stand the idea of him zoning out to a DVD in the car. Instead, he talks a lot and we have a ball. He likes to see all the sights, and ask questions.
Funny that you mentioned Mystic, because we were thinking of taking a trip there this summer but never made it. We just found out tonight that the school trip next May will be to Camden Aquarium, which the kids will all love. We went their on our own once about three years ago. I still want to plan an overnight or weekend trip to Mystic, though.
Ms.Fitz: I recorded tonight's show also (on two Dvr's, lol) and since I missed a lot, I plan on watching it as I go to sleep tonight. It will help make up for no more feeds and no more BBAD to drift off to.
Marci: I missed that part! I'll have to pay extra attention when I rewatch it on the DVR.
Hmm, I thought that looked like Monica. But, I did think it didn't seem like a very good girlfriend/boyfriend hug after almost three months apart. But, then I noticed her run back off to her seat, like she wasn't supposed to run up to Dan anyway, so maybe it was just a quick hug she had to get in there.

OH MY! Carolyn, you just gave me a case of the vapors. I haven't seen Will Wikle in a while now... that was almost a finger twister... I loved his stint on LOGO in the Travel Show.
He was one of my favorites too. Loved his season but not the way he was booted. Marvin hit it on the head about who went up that week, "The black guy and the gay guy, because God told you to do it."
OK, I have been trying to stay nice about all seasons but bring up the Fitless Twins again and I may have to go off.

But....
Keesha should be damn proud that she won the hearts of America. Considering some of the edits she didn't have to just win over 7 jury members she had to win how many thousands of votes across the country. Granted we worked hard for the girl here, but she still needed a lot of other help.
I am not belittling Dan's win, they are two very different things. I am thrilled that he won and very happy about Memphis too. If he decides to sell the car I hope he makes a bucketful on it.

Samantha, You HAVE to do Mystic, it's great in the fall, how about Columbus weekend. Their penguin habitat is out of this world. I have been to Camden several times and like it, but Mystic is , well, nothing compares.I have been to over a dozen major aquariums and it is my favorite so comprehensive and a lot of hands on stuff for kids The performances are not tricks. They do real training demonstrations. Huge shark tank, Sea lion, seals, the babies are so cute. And its so much fun to watch in the out door habitats the mother sea lions training their youngsters. dolphins. Maddy loves the clown fish too (like Nemo) You can spend the whole day the village is great too, very different shops not the typical, very eclectic mix. The Seaport itself is not as good as it once was but I am comparing what I had already seen years earlier. Check out the aquarium web site.
