Lydia was geared up to fight with Braeden. He told her earlier he wanted to talk to her & she told Kevin she didn't have to talk to him & was making some pretty ugly remarks about him to Kevin. Braeden's remarks were out of line, but remember, folks, many people do stupid things when they are heated & their back is against the wall. I'm not excusing him at all. No one is perfect. I do not feel sorry for Lydia one bit. The more I see her the more I am disliking her & wishing Kevin wasn't so chummy w/ her. I didn't even listen to the fight between her & Jordan. Some of these people get riled up & go on & on & on & on about it. Just didn't want to hear what a victim she is cuz he picked on her. She has been rude to him & stabbed him in the back. Yet, that is part of the game too! And, the other thing, someone says something rude, mean, slur & then wants to apologize & the dynamic in this house is there is no forgiveness when they apologize. Ronnie said he will probably apologize & Chima said, it's already out there. So no forgiveness for someone when they recognize their error?
Hey hey everyone!! I'm behind this season so far...but I spent a few days in the hospital at the first of July. For those of you who remember from previous seasons, I've got blown discs in my back and I got them fixed this month. Five years of pain taken care of in an hour and a half. Part cyborg now, but no pain. Got one of those netbook computers, too, so the keyboard is smaller. Forgive the typos.
BIG BROTHER IS BACK!!! I've missed you Carolyn!! Now to spend the day reading and catching up on everything! Ca't believe Jessie is back...I"m having to hit mute on the TV when he talks. Still not a fan.

OMG! They need to back off of Jeff, I'm right there with him, I don't understand how he became responsible for Lydia being nominated. In this game you've got to be responsible for yourself. Lydia is quickly losing favor with me if she is going to depend on other people to save her. You've got to save yourself in the BB House.

What a day! My first day back to work after 1-1/2 weeks of vacation (not much of a vacation, but at least time away from my desk).
I started my day at the Dr. getting my allergy shot and spent the next 4 hours dealing with an allergic reaction to it (not so much fun).
Now I'm trying to get into work but I want to keep up with Big Brother.
How am I supposed to work when the house is going crazy? Shouldn't my boss understand this and just accept this? :)

I'm so happy for you that your back surgery worked. Orthopedics and Neurosurgery has come a long way in 17 years. I've heard some great success stories. Just don't try to do things too fast and overdo it.

When some people are angry they can be blinded & can't even think straight. Things fly out of their mouths that immediately they regret. That's why hurtful, racist words & remarks are the worst and most painful weapon a person can use. Everyone is different in how they react to anger. Using hurtful words can be a crutch for people that can't find a way to express their anger & can stem from many life past issues. That is why many people go to anger management classes.

But right before Jordan went to confront Lydia and she jumped up off that couch in the restroom, Ronnie jumped up to and looked so dejected when no one went to follow Jordan. IMO, you could tell it was killing him that he couldn't follow and see the blow up.

I was wondering if anybody knows if the Dr came to check out Laura yet? I thought he/she was coming yesterday but never heard anything about it.
I dont have the feeds yet due to the fact I have a hearing problem and wouldnt be able to hear so I am still debating on whether or not to spend the money since AI wouldnt be able to hear anything.

You know. When I was in HS a favorite teacher said something after some incident that "Using curse words is only for those with a poor vocabulary." That is an exact quote. I was so impressed with it I still remember it and mostly practice it. Cursing to me includes slurs directed at any group. Guess that makes me really old school but it certainly bears passing on. Wish I could tweet that to the HGs.

Ruby thank you for explaining that lesser used slur. I got very upset with CNN's Rick Sanchez about a nonth ago for calling a friend of his (can't remember the comedian's name) that was on his show doing an interview. They were/are obvious friends and it just came out like an everyday nickname for him. Of course I never got a reply from Sanchez but at least I vented as I do very often when I hear or see something I don't like, especially on what is supposed to be the best cable news network. (can we say Ted Turner/Time Warner ego? Was that voted on or in a poll?)

not to be TMI, but I've had recent experience w that phenomenon. on March 16 this year, my roommate decided live wasn't worth living anymore. he was a really cool guy w a sharp mind & a solid Rare Books business. Why do the people who get casted not know what is PC and not PC to say especially on live tv. I mean calling somebody names because of race, gender, sexual preference and numerous other things should be known that you shouldn't say them.
I don't know if it bothers me that they would say this stuff or if they really are like this.

I think BB has crossed the line this year. Sure it isn't going to be on the TV edit and hopefully it would never get on the live show nights, but... well too many thoughts on the subject to list all my gripes.

gaytor - as a general rule I think it's offense to call woman Boob's, but when you get triple E fluid filled silicon balloons implanted in your chest, and your breasts enter the room 30 seconds before the rest of you, by design - you are kind of asking for it.

Regarding the video & if it's Laura, I don't think it's her. When they introduced they said another name & it wasn't Laura & said she had a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology. Don't believe I heard Laura say she had that kind of degree or any mention of college. This girl really does look like her.
Interesting to know though if Casey & Jessie realize they were at the same event or if they know each other & aren't acknowledging it.

ive heard the words but none of these folks strike me as particularly toxic people in regards to the isms. Seems to me that they are young somewhat disenfrachised people for the most part, certainly not the power elite.
They sling words around to get a rise out of folks the isms fit the bill, folks in the house react to em, mission accomplished. To me its just as offensive if some one was screaming Mother Fer at me as to fag etc.
Other than to get a reaction from someone I cant see any other reason for using the words.
Seems few in this house give any thoughts into their words or actions.

If someone is so ignorant and uncaring about how they are perceived by people and feel the need to spew garbage, then they show who they are. If others overlook these things, then they are as much to blame as the offenders. There is no excuse. Not anger. Not ignorance. Not naivety.
BB doesn't censor anything on the feeds, but it edits for TV. There are a dozen things that are said every day that I take objection to, and that shows me what kind of people are there.

The feeds are not censored. The choice is: Do I watch the feeds or don't I? That is up to each individual and what they can stomach.
In real life, no one gets by saying that crap in my presence without being challenged and I am not afraid to point it out. That is all we can do.
What bothers me is when people come onto sites like this and use the defense that Jeff only said f****t because he was in the heat of the moment, or Braden was using racist words because he was in the heat of the moment.
How does that excuse the language? To me that is worse than somebody being ignorant and uneducated about the subject because they know it is hurtful and are using it on purpose. Because if you don't know you are being hurtful you can learn from your mistake.
Here I go again.
Anyone else think it is time for AGP to pull out the Three X rule or even instant penalty noms? I say it's way past time, but then again how would they manage to explain it to the TV Only's. especially those who don't even follow the blogs?
I'm now in a quandary over what should be done.

I had the off today and spent it watching all the drama. I am surprised at all the racial comments.
I don't recall ever seeing this stuff in previous seasons.
I hope that production will step in and tell them to cool it.

Sorry i up and disappeared. Huge storms rolling around here with flood warnings/hail/tornadoes and wind so i had to shut down for a bit and save my battery life on the tablet just in case!
As for everyone doggin on Laura today, lets not forget she is not feeling well and a doc was suppose to come see her. Now rumor is possible stone and hell if it was me i wouldn't be very socialable either i'd be hiding out somewhere in pain just trying to will it all to go away.
I think Laura deserves a bit of a break if she is not well.
