Big Brother 12: Charge of the BB Brigade
Phew! This crew is not going to give us bloggers a break! Ready for some early night shenanigans? I will be here covering them until our Late Night Dishy Blogger, Lessa takes the reigns!

Matt, Enzo, Hayden
The Brigade boys have been quick to change their strategy. Now they have Annie in their sights. They have even called final four. In fact they have the whole game in the bag.... Enzo is on fire and my fingers can rarely keep up. He is adamant about Annie's eviction. She is the saboteur. She is making alliances everywhere...
Hayden: I feel our alliance...
Enzo:.... is as strong as sh*t.
In comes Britney to feed the boys some fodder for their cannons telling them that Brendon tried to strike a deal with her to keep her safe, as long as she does not come after them.
Britney: On the one hand we have one person in the house with alliances all over the house. On the other hand we have Brendon and Rachel on our side.
The boys grill her about Annie, and Britney says she is okay with Annie leaving. They are sure they have Monet and Kathy's votes.
Talk turns to Andrew again. Britney complains that he snapped at her.
Meanwhile down in the kitchen, Annie is preparing something to eat, oblivious that her head is on the chopping block. Andrew and Rachel are whispering in the bathroom trying to gauge the house and what they are going to do.

Meanwhile up in HOH, Britney is doing the same with Monet and Lane.
**They are certainly trying to put all their ducks in a row...
Monet is convinced and on board with getting rid of Annie. Lane isn't. He thinks it would beneficial to him because Annie would not put him up. Britney and Monet tease Lane about him being attracted to Annie.Lane: Who do you trust more Rachel or Annie.
The girls don't have a clear cut answer. Lane presses his point.
Lane: If you keep Rachel, she is with Brendon... You can't sway Rachel. You can sway Annie.
They girls insists that it's Hayden he needs to persuade.
Britney: Rachel has a way better chance of winning HOH than Annie.
**Round and round they go where they'll stop who the heck knows....
Meanwhile in the backyard, Hayden and Kathy talk about the game and how it manipulates people, and make people do and say things they wouldn't normally do.
**Honey. You ain't seen nothing yet!

They have been rehashing things. Over and over. They are hoping Hayden will put up Annie. If he does, Britney thinks they need to plan to tell Annie they are going with her, but then go make a deal with Rachel.
Britney: We need to go to Rachel and make her promise that if we keep her, that she needs to have our backs.
They are worried that Enzo told Lane what they are planning (to get rid of Annie). They are worried Lane will tell Annie.
Lane comes up and the grills grill him about whether they can trust him. Lane tells them to chill out and not get paranoid.
Talk turns to food. General chit chat and this season's favorite pastime, ragging on Andrew's religious routines... **UGH***
In the kitchen Annie and Brendon cook quietly. No game talk. Yet... It's companionable. They take the opportunity to do some Jedi game whispering about Monet. Andrew comes through from the bathroom and quickly puts in his bid against Monet.

Andrew makes his bid to put up Monet. Hayden thinks she will self-implode.
Hayden: I don't think you're the saboteur.
Andrew: I have bigger things to think about. I can't use electricity for 24 hours. I'm telling you because I trust you. That's why I have to prepare food in advance.
Neither of them think Brendon is the saboteur. Talk turns to Annie's many alliances.
Hayden: As a person, I like her.
Hayden tells Andrew to apologize to Annie because she is still upset at him about the pap smear incident. This seems to be the most honest connection between Andrew and someone from the "brigade".
They go through the possibilities about who should go up, who is the likely saboteur. Andrew tells Hayden that he talks Kristen. Hayden calls her "adorable".
Andrew: Who is on the bandwagon to get me out. Are they saying saboteur? Are they syaing character?
Hayden: There are quite a few people who believe you are the saboteur.
Andrew: Believe it? Or are they trying to get me out?
Hayden: Believe it.
Andrew: I swear on my daughter who I adore.
Andrew makes a case for taking out Britney or Monet. They agree that Monet is a lot smarter than Britney. Hayden wants reassure that he will be safe next week.
~~They are getting slightly ahead of themselves.
Andrew thinks that either Britney or Matt are the saboteur. They go through all the people who were on the couch the whole time during the blackout. Hayden is convinced Matt is not the saboteur. They move on to the first HOH comp. They agree that it doesn't make sense that the saboteur would go for the 10K, namely Annie.
Rachel comes in. Andrew leaves.
And we get the BRB screen @ 7:50... Break time! :)
Hayden: If I put someone out instead of you would you help...
Rachel: I will help you... Brendon will talk to you. He will do the same.
Hayden: I want to talk to him. Because I have only two options that will guarantee you staying.
Rachel: Who?
Hayden: I can't say.
Rachel: I will do anything. I will guarantee you until we get final 7. You know the game. When you get final 7, you will have strong players. So it's the game. I'm a strong player. I;m strong mental and physical. And I'm loyal. I won't put you up and I will take you off the block if I can.
Talk turns to Andrew. They both like him and respect his religious beliefs. Rachel thinks that Andrew doesn't realize that his "perverted" comments are such.
Matt knocks but leaves when he sees Rachel and leaves. Hayden and Rachel firm up their agreement. Rachel leaves and Matt returns. Hayden tells Matt about his talk with Rachel. Then Hayden goes on to tell him that Andrew thinks Matt is the saboteur.
They both find it hysterical.
***I have to say. I am pretty impressed with Hayden and how he is dealing with his HOH reign and the other HGs. He is calm, cool, collected and shrewd. Me likey some Hayden :)

Britney calls Annie a "skank". They move on to cutting up Andrew.
Britney: I just want to send Andrew home cause he's weird.

Lane: On the other hand if you put Kathy up, it won't cause drama in the house. It won't be as dramatizing (sic) if she leaves the house. I don't have anything with Annie. I talk to her. But it would be better with the group. Brendon will be angry but we can tell him that Annie played both sides.
Hayden: Annie does play both sides.
Lane: I can throw a vote Rachel's way. (To throw Brendon off) And if Brendon doesn't win HOH, we can backdoor him. We can keep Andrew. He would be easy to persuade.
Hayden: Andrew wouldn't put us up if he won HOH. We have been nice to him.
**Where have I heard this before? Oh right. Every season of BB. :)

Annie clears the air with Hayden about her connection with Brendon. She reinterates that she wants to work with him. She wants to know who has been telling lies about her. (About her alliance with Brendon & Rachel)
Hayden: I heard it from more than one person.
Annie emphasizes that she does not trust Monet and Britney. She maintains that they will say anything and lie.
Hayden: You can tell who in the house is genuinely honest. Some people are a little shady.
Annie: I won't sleep with Brendon anymore. I had no choice. I will sleep in here. I don't have an alliance with him. I want Rachel out actually.
Hayden: You've been nothing but great. People are throwing you under the bus.
Annie: People are against me.
Hayden: I will say people are scared of you. You're strong. You said that you want to split them up.
Annie: I do want them to be split up. They are an alliance. If I were in their alliance, I wouldn't want to vote Rachel off. You can't have an alliance this early.
Hayden: You can't have an alliance yet. (***what about the brigade?)
Hayden basically tells Annie she has nothing to worry about at this point. He sees her, Enzo and himself... Annie reiterates that she is not in an alliance; that she was trying to get information about them, as Britney and Monet wanted her to. Hayden says his position is difficult and he is being torn in 12 different directions.
**This is the gist of the conversation. Basically they are playing the game. What's true and what's not? Time will tell.

Lane and Hayden meet in the storage room. Hayden fills Lane in on his convo with Annie. They are now leaning toward keeping Annie. They need to persuade Enzo.

RedRhonda - Not a stupid question at all. They either have to provide him a kosher version, or the stuff they use is already kosher. Many common (and not so common) products are. Usually, there's a discreet little K on the product. I bet if you look in your fridge or cabinet, you'll find plenty. ;)
You covered K for kosher. What does the U and P stand for. If I remember P is for something you can have during Passover. U has slipped my feeble mind.

U is for Union... O-U is Orthodox Union -- it's the strictest kosher certification.. There's also O-K, triangle K, Chaff (hebrew letter) - K...
D next to anyof the K's is that is has Dairy in it and P is for Pareve which means it can be eaten with Milk products or Meat products...
The other major rule is after you have a Meat dish, no Milk or Dairy products for 4 - 6 hours

OK, no one has answered a question about bisexuality that was asked earlier by 'someone' (sorry I forgot the name).
I'm far from being an expert on this because I've been 100% gay my entire life. I've never been there, ever. I was a C-Section baby. Hopefully someone,and I know there has to be some among us, will explain it better than I.
Remember, this is all just my own opinion. Bisexuals are probably the group that has the hardest time to fit into the GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender) Community. They are attracted to the person and the gender isn't a factor. I don't believe as some do that they are just out for the fun of it. They do have feelings as we all do. It's just a fact.
Sexual attraction is a strange one to try to pigeonhole, and my thought is why do we have to do that anyway.
My personal belief is that it is all genetics. Plenty will argue that it's not; that it's formed early in life as a circumstance of surroundings. It's sad that in most circles they are ostracized and I have to guess that is because they are misunderstood, just like any 'group' that is different than others by SOME. Thankfully that is fading but I still say they have a more difficult time being accepted simply because they are least understood.
I really wish we could get a little explanation from a true bisexual. Lydia, Chelsia and/or James comes to mind since they are the ones that we know for sure by their own admission that they are bisexual.. unless I am really confused and misunderstanding them.
The one we really don't want to hear from on this subject would be our beloved Howie! All he would think is OHHHH!!!! More booobbbbies! (Love ya Howie, wherever you are)

You are so right. I can't count the number of times I recall an HoH going ballistic over a target winning PoV.
I'm on the bandwagon with Kristen may be the saboteur because gut tells me it's a female this year, but could it be HaYDen? (Spelled like GaYToR. Get it?)
It really hasn't seemed to phase him at all or not from what I've read. I can't wait to see the comp. I'm going to be looking closely to see if he might have thrown it so Brendon could win it.

Just getting caught up on the feeds I had a friend who called that likes to talk and spent over two hours on the phone. Boy did I miss a lot! Thank you so much, Caro and Genie for all your hard work tonight. Oh, and for those of you who are on Twitter and use the web for it, you should try TweetDeck. It keeps everything together including your Friend's updates, Mentions and Direct Messages in all in one window and you don't have to hit refresh at all. It does it all on it's own. I hope you guys don't think I'm spamming, it's just that I would be lost with it and I wouldn't use Twitter without it.

I went back and replayed the scene where the lights go out and the saboteur strikes, just to see who was telling the truth about where everyone was sitting.
I found a few interesting things. Monet and Kathy were not in the room at all. They appeared later, after the lights came back on.
When the lights went out, Brendan was sitting in a chair next to Lane. When the night vision came on so that we (the viewers) could see, but the houseguests still could not, Matt was sitting in the seat that Brendan had previously been sitting in and Brendan was gone. I don't know if the houseguests knew that Matt had moved.
During the scene, Matt went from wearing shorts while the lights were off to wearing PJ pants when the lights came back on. Similarly, Andrew changed his outfit. I don't know if those things are at all related to the context of the situation, or just bad editing.

I'm having a Carolyn night and doing the "Ice Ice Baby" thing. I even canceled my show tonight because of the pain. Again who am I to even mention that? She's been going through it for years now and never complains. She rarely mentions her pain.
I've developed some C-Spine problems over the past several months to the degree it's really affecting my abilities and tonight was one of those nights. I can't be over the top flamboyant with my arms, and with drag if you don't do that you look terrible. I start ESI's soon. Insurance just approved it. I'd probably rather have surgery and get it over with but the doctor won't let me do it my way.
Have I said this already? I'm in the mid-stages if OldeTimers, but I have been for years now.
(Disclaimer: that is a terrible disease and probably everyone here has had a loved one affected by it, including myself. I pray for a cure daily. ((Yes, Annele, I pray. There I said it.)) so I'm not meaning any disrespect.)

A quick little note on kosher certification which might be helpful for background:
The letter "k" by itself means only that the manufacturer says it's kosher. There are some kashruth symbols like the Star-K or the Kaf-k that incorporate this letter of the alphabet, but they are trademarks of their respective organizations.
The OU symbol that looks like a "U" withing a circle (see http://www.oukosher.org/)has adopted some default markings that have become the industry standard:
+ all kosher certified products are presumed to be parve i.e. neither meat or dairy;
+ when you see the letter "P" next to the kosher symbol that simply means the product is certified for use on Passover.
+ if a product contains dairy ingredients or was prepared in the same pots and pans, etc. as a dairy item, it will have a letter "D" next to the kosher symbol. Check out a box of Oreos and see. :)
+ if a product contains meat or poultry, it will have a letter "M." Take a look at some kosher hot dogs.
To sum it all up, a product marked with an OU-P symbol, like a box of Manischewitz macaroons,is certified to be kosher, good on Passover and parve (again, neither meat or dairy).
Hope this is of some help in understanding this question.

@ Michelle in Indiana an Orthodox Jew can't do anything basically on the Shabbat. That's why Andrew had to cook his food before sundown. Using electricity require, for lack of a better word, manual labor and that's forbidden. Were he outside the BB House he would also not be able to drive or operate any machinery. He would have to walk to Synagogue.
I know I got some of that wrong, and there are also so many rules I can't even imagine, but basically they can't even use the electric candles so many Synagogues use now. They even have to have someone come in to turn the candles on for them.

Hey Michigan Man - while the East Coast is having a heat wave, we here on the West Coast have been having below normal temperatures. Now granted, our normal temps are quite nice and I will never complain about our weather. The nights are chilly enough for a light jacket or blanket. No need for parkas or heating blankets, but it has been a little cool in the evenings.
So go ahead and chuckle as much as you like but just know that this time of year is not our normal weather.

Stephanie it's not just this summer though. There are HGs every year saying how cold it is. I think it's the lack of humidity that makes it seem colder to people from the South. I had trouble at first not thinking it was as hot as it was because you have no humidity out there.

Well, think about it, they spend how much time in the sun during the day. Then the hot jacuzzi at night. Just watching them I want to grab a blanket.
My daughter was born in So Cal and she is always huddled in a blanket or wearing a jacket at night. She is super thin so maybe she doesn't have any meat on her bones to keep her warm.
I think different people are just that, different.
But the BB house is always the same!
The pictures this year are really weird - Rachel's looks like, well, nevermind, I must keep it clean - oh its okay, she looks like the cover of a DVD that my boys never wanted me to find under their bed . . .
