BB12: Monday Morning - Who Will Britney Pick?
Good Morning BB Enthusiasts!
It's Monday, so you know what that means? Lots of intrigue on the live feeds before the PoV Ceremony and even more drama after!
This morning there are two operations in effect: Operation Keep Ragan Away (OKRA) and Operation Evict Matt (OEM).
Matt is fully on board with OKRA as it involves him keeping Ragan far away from Britney before the PoV Ceremony starts, while the rest of the house (Hayden, Lane, Enzo and Brendon) stays in Britney's ear about nominating Ragan to replace Brendon. This is a fictitious operation for Matt's benefit which serves as a perfect smoke screen for what is really going down - OEM.
Lane, Enzo and Hayden managed to talk Britney off the fence she was wavering on yesterday afternoon and early evening. Ragan was pushing hard for her to put Hayden up as a ReNom, and it looked like he had succeeded until BG3D got in her ear to put Matt up. They have given her assurances that their goals are her goals, namely targeting Brendon, for a change. The crowning promise of safety next week, to bring her into Final 4 with them, seems to have sealed the deal; but you never know in the BB house!

I predict a more active morning than it has been the last couple of days, as we watch the BB inmates scramble for another week of life in the BB house.

Wakey, Wakey House Guests! There's no time to waste!

They're up! Let's go!!
- Brendon, Lane and Matt are in the kitchen. Brendon is making coffee. Lane is at the sink.
- Matt joins Hayden in the bathroom. Matt wants to "get this thing done."
- Penguin Enzo comes out of the bathroom.
Matt joins Enzo outside.
Matt: Big day today. Gotta get this thing working.
Enzo: Is she up?
Matt: She came down earlier. I'll go up in a bit. Get phase one started. Then I will keep Ragan away.
Enzo: You think she'll be okay with it?
Matt: I like Ragan but I'm okay with him leaving.
He goes upstairs and Britney shoos him away because she just got out of the shower. He goes back outside, a nervous ball of energy.
- Meanwhile Brendon and Lane are joking around about what they're about to do to Matt.
- Outside, talk has turned to music which has unleashed Skippy.
Full Service Veto Holder
Matt goes inside, and Enzo tells Brendon that Matt wants them to throw Ragan under the bus. Hayden says the same. Brendon asks how OEM is going. Hayden and Enzo say they feel pretty good that Britney will put up Matt. Hayden tells Brendon that Britney's worried that she is Brendon's target. Brendon wants to talk to her and reassure her.
Britney is upstairs putting her game face on.
9: 50 AM BBT
Lane brings Britney up a cup of coffee. After a few minutes of teasing about the coffee and how she looks, he sits down at the table.
Lane: Did you get enough sleep?
Britney: Yeah. I was talking to Enzo and Hayden.
Lane: And?
Britney: And what... I'm freaking out.
Lane: What are you freaking out about?
Britney: I have to depend on other people for the rest of the game.
She goes through the same scenarios.
Lane: This plan. No one can win except us.
Britney: That's what scares me.
Bubbles.
Lane: What are you thinking? Putting up Ragan and Matt stay?
Britney: It's better for Matt to go home... If one of Matt and Ragan leave, we're the only pair in the house.
Lane: No. You'll see when this is over.
Britney: Okay. I'm putting my trust in you.... If I find after this show is over that you're in another alliance and playing me, I will kill you...
Lane: Do you think I have the brain power for that?
Britney: You better have the brain power to win HoH.
Lane: Why is your TV not on?
Britney: I was in the shower. (She turns on the spy screen) Matt tried to come up here this morning.
Lane: I know he was up all morning... He wanted me to come up here and throw Ragan under the bus.
Lane keeps asking her if she's sure she wants to put Matt up, and she says she is. Then...
Lane: Can you get engaged twice?
Britney: You will. You've already been engaged once.
Lane: No. I mean at the same time...
Britney: Lane! I'm trying to have a serious conversation.
Skippititis
When the feeds come back, Lane is going through scenarios that bring them to final four.
Britney: I was talking to Hayden. I don't think he's with Enzo.
Lane: I told you.... Hayden is our spokesperson for the other side.
Lane and Britney spend the next 5 minutes strategizing on who will go downstairs to avoid Matt, finally deciding on both going downstairs. Matt and Brendon zero in on the kitchen almost immediately... Lane dumps her and goes outside. As she goes upstairs, Matt asks her to join.

Matt: Whattup?
Britney: You know.
Matt: I hate bothering you on your birthday... Freaking out Brit. What's going on?
Britney: You know what's going on! I don't know what's going on. You know the position I'm in. We didn't win that veto.
Matt: But how did I get placed in this position to be replacement nominee?
Britney: This isn't easy for me. We didn't win the Veto. Now I have to send someone home. I don't want to put up Lane. Ragan didn't get to play Veto...
Matt: You picked me to play Veto and now I'm in this position.
Britney: I chose you as House Guest choice... so you could play... I played the Veto. I didn't win anything. I opened Pandora's Box and I got punished.
Matt: I got punished too in a way...
Britney: No you didn't. You got a power.
Britney goes on to emphasize that she is alone in the game. Matt counters that she has Lane; and she says that he has Ragan.
Matt: I don't understand why people think we're a pair.
Britney: He was up here campaigning for you.
Matt: I didn't ask him to do it... I wouldn't campaign for him. I'm here for Stacey... (**eyeballs STAT)
This goes in circles.
Britney: I don't want to put up any of you guys... If I put up Hayden, Enzo will go home. From my standpoint, I don't think it's fair for Enzo to go home in a costume with no clothes, when he fought in the competition.
Matt: What about the rest of the game I've been busting my ass on? He competed this week, but I have been busting my ass this whole time.
Britney: I agree. But the only mistake you made was in week 3. One of them would have been home, and the other would have been picked off, and it would be a different house.
Matt: But you're saying that Enzo has been busting his ass this week, but I have been busting my ass every week.... (and he brings up Stacey again)
Britney: It's a horrible position for me. I wanted Brendon gone, and now I'm in this position.
Matt: That's why I'm saying if I stay, I will go after Brendon.
Britney: I don't know. The point is I'm not safe here no matter what.
His constant hammering at Britney reduces her to tears.
That doesn't even make him skip a beat. He brings up Stacey again. He brings up the fact that he will be public enemy number 1.

Brendon comes in and asks for a moment. Britney sends him away.

She wants to blow dry her hair first and Matt does not budge. Skippy intervenes...

Hayden: When I had to put up Brendon and Rachel, I felt badly. When we evicted Annie, I felt horrible.
Britney: Matt is the stronger competitor.
Hayden: I think Ragan took a dive on those two endurance competitions, but I do think that Matt is a stronger competitor.
Britney: I feel bad that I have to take Matt out, when Ragan was throwing me under the bus hard core last week. On the other hand, Matt had the DPoV and he didn't have to.
Hayden: He said that he wasn't going to use the DPoV unless he was on the block which means he wouldn't save Ragan (or you).
Britney: He wants Ragan to go up. I think he's tired of being associated with Ragan because it has come back to bite him.
Hayden: Wait. He knows that I'm not going to go up?
Britney: I told him you're a good guy and I don't want to put you up. And it's weird because he didn't suggest you. He suggested Ragan which tells me that he's tired of the association.
Hayden: You need to do what's best for you.
Britney: I need Brendon gone so bad.
Hayden: If Brendon goes to the end, I think he would win everything. He would have to win HoH and PoV from now on. though.
Britney: I want Brendon gone so bad.
Hayden: I told you, if I win HoH, I'm putting up Brendon and Ragan.
Britney gives Hayden an overview of Matt's case. Britney says he's not that huge of a competitor. They talk in circles some more and Britney reluctantly asks Hayden to send Brendon up.
Feeds cut to the backyard where Hayden is telling Enzo and Lane about his conversation with Britney. He tells them that Matt was throwing Ragan under the bus.

Brendon: Everybody has to win PoV... We have 5 people versus one. Ragan won one PoV. The odds are against him.
Britney: The odds were stacked against you and look at you... I'm basically taking someone out of the game for you. Someone who has pledged his loyalty to me.
Brendon: Loyalty? Matt was downstairs throwing Ragan under the bus.
Britney: I know. But this is me... I put you up and I apologize...
Brendon: I trust you more than Ragan. I need you in the game. These guys will go after us when he's gone... We need to work together.
Britney: All I'm asking from you is that I am safe no matter what.
Brendon: There is a very good opportunity to flip it around and keep Ragan on our side.
Britney: Even if it's double eviction, it's going to be fast fast fast...
Brendon: Even if it's DE, he will be so out of it, he won't win anything.
Britney: We can't count on it. I'm just concerned that I will be your next target.
Brendon: You leaving will not benefit me.
Britney: I think you and me know if we make it to final 2, it's the most fair. We are neck and neck in the game.
Brendon: So you and I are on the same page...
Bubbles.
Brendon: I'm not coming after you.
Britney: As long as you're not coming after me, I want you in the game.
Britney hammers home that she doesn't want to go home if Ragan wins Veto. Brendon suggests that they sit down this week and map out a strategy. They seem to be working through a final 2 deal, but how true that is, only time will tell.
They go around in circles some more, and finally hug it out.

Enzo: So what's Matt doing now? Throwing Ragan under the bus?
Britney: Hard core.
Britney then tells him about what Matt said about Ragan and Enzo.
Enzo: You swore on your family. I trust you. I swore on my family. You're safe until final 4... Then all bets are off. We win HoH. Brendon goes home. We put Brendon up. We put Ragan up.
They go on to say that Matt's move to throw Ragan under the bus, sealed his faith, making him totally untrustworthy. It's a short conversation, and the come downstairs.
With a short stop to gape at the Praying Mantis they caught, Britney joins Ragan at the hammock.

Britney: I just want to make sure that you know that no matter what happens, that I love you... I'm here for you, no matter what.
Ragan: Oh Britney... I think I'll be out the door right after him,
Britney: No you won't. Brendon will be out the door.
Ragan: They will fight as hard as they have for PoV. Hayden and Enzo will not try. They have not won a single competition, not because they can't. Because they don't want to. And even if they did, they won't put Brendon up. If Brendon doesn't win the PoV, maybe he will be put up...
Britney: Ragan....
Ragan: I just strongly feel that way... and that position we're in... even if I win HoH, then the they will all be in the following one...
Britney: So will I.
Ragan: But the next one will be physical...
Britney: I've gone through every option, Ragan.... I am playing with my conscience... I don't want to put you up. It doesn't feel right for me to send Enzo home in a penguin suit with no clothes when he is the only other one who showed up to this competition.
Ragan: son't you think that's strange that Enzo decided to fight in these two competitions.
Britney: I do. but so did we...
Ragan: I know I'm saying, don't you think that's strange? You're HoH. You do what's best for you. I won't hold it against you.
Britney: I have been thinking what's best for me... and I don't want to lose you....
Ragan: You won't...
Britney: A lot of people have been in my ear all day to put you up... (*You mean Matt, right?)
BB: Britney. Please go to the Diary Room.
Ragan: See? That's why I told you I'm next....
Britney: You're not. People will say anything not to be put up. I have no reason to lie to you and say that people are throwing you under the bus. I just want you to know I have your back.
Ragan: Thank you....
After trying to reassure him a bit more, she finally goes to DR.
Inside, everyone is pacing like they're in a delivery waiting room while blowing smoke up Matt's shorts...

Okay....in the battle between live feeds and the need to practice guitar we've reached a compromise. I play my electric unplugged while watching the feeds....was there really any doubt?

Before I get on the phone and give AT&T a good talking to, and then after I've warmed up with them I start on my doctors I have to make one comment, or more like pose a question.
Why do people still refer to Brendon as B/R, B&R, Brenchael, etc?
Rachael has been out of the house for two weeks now. Brendon is playing his own game and doing a damn good job of it.
Brendon and Rachael were a couple while they were in the house together. So were Hayden and Kristen to a lesser and shorter term degree. Matt and Regan are still going strong but no one pairs anyone but Racheal (now out of the game) and Brendon.
That should get me going for my day of phone calls now and also give you an idea of the attitude those poor souls are going to get from me.
I'll be listening for the PoV Ceremony.

I'm liking Brendon a whole lot more since Rachel is out, but I don't think he is playing his own game at all. Everything he is doing has either been set up by or wished for by Rachel.

As much as I don't want to, I can't help liking Brendon. Look at him bringing coffee for everyone, he was such a gentleman to Brit during the Chum ordeal -- I don't want him to win, but I gotta tell ya, I'm thinking he's a heck of a nice guy.
PS I think I am falling hopelessly in love with Lane (which would make me such a Cougar since I am 25 years older than him!!)

Brendon is probably the ONLY HG that has Britney's back and she wants him gone first and foremost. This group is not at all good at reading people and knowing who to trust and who not to trust (which is something Jordan was good at last year). I too was hoping she would discover how genuine Brendon is during their time handcuffed together, but again, she listens to others more than she listens to her own feelings.
Britney's biggest problem and her eventual downfall in this game will be her inability to trust herself.

Do those meanies think u have no life and just sit in your basement blogging for them? Maybe they need to get a life too! I will however admit that I get a little disappointed when there is nothing new to read but I would never get mad at you guys for not posting...
Well I'll end by saying thanx for all you guys do.
As usual I can't tear myself away from the feeds, Blog, and comments to kick start the day when I need to get things done. To borrow from Genie Sea (I always try to give credit if I remember it wasn't originally mine. That doesn't always happen though.)

The cap of Brendon serving coffee says that proverbial thousand words to me, although I rarely stop with just a thousand.
Throughout this game, from Day 1, Brendon has been nothing but nice it preparing food and drink and doing the cleaning. Doesn't that say something about his true personality? That's not a trait you suddenly pick up for game play. It's a learned habit.
I wouldn't throw any one of them a piece of bread or a drop of water if they had treated me they way they treat him.

You won't believe what just happened. I was getting up to let the dog out, he moved and tripped me. Down goes the dog, me and my freakin' laptop flies across the living room. Busted the screen. OMG! I hooked up an old monitor to it so lets see how long that lasts.

I wanted it to be Brit and Brendon, but because she is so ignorant to Brendon's loyalty I'd sooner see her go asap.

Before I make any comments on the game today, I want to get personal for just a minute.
I just want all of you to know how much I appreciate this site. Three weeks ago yesterday ,I lost my seven year old dog unexpectedly.
It has been rough, especially since I have been a stay at home mom all those years, to my kids and to my precious dog. I miss him sleeping beside me, following me around all day, etc. This site, and this game, has kept my mind off of it. At night when I get weepy, I can come here and get caught up in the game, and not think about him so much. Thanks for that:)

I really wish they would show something other than Matt & Britt right now. I'm so tired of hearing him mention his so called "sick" wife. Especially since I remember Brit telling Lane either last night or this am that she had a little brother that would need taking care of for the rest of his life and that's at least part of the reason she was in the BB house.

Michelle so sorry about your computer. I agree with you about Enzo, they need to keep his mouth shut. He definitely has issues with talking and spilling the beans.
I think they have to take the shot at getting Matt out now. Those opportunities do not come along often. But I also think they need to get rid of Enzo next. He is just too much of a liability for everyone.

Ok...so now I am really aggrevated. I really want Matt to go up and he is so playing the sick wife card...Does anyone know what blogs these people would read so I can voice my total disgust with him? I can't imagine Matt looking at such a high class site as this. If Brit is dumb enough to put up Hayden I hope it goes to a 2-2 tie so she has to pick...it would serve her right...and I hope Enzo or Hayden gets HOH and puts Ragan and Matt up and Matt goes and then Brendon wins and puts up Britney and Ragan....If Enzo goes it might be better for Brendon's game, but I still want Matt to go this week!

I am SO sorry about the loss of your sweet fur baby. I lost mine too, on July 23rd (about a month ago) and I too am grieving for her and missing her terribly. Just wanted to send you a big hug and to let you know you're not alone. We're among friends here.
I dont know how much more of this game I can watch this season. Last year I had a clear favorite from early on, this year, I'm not sure I really care at all who wins (as long as it's not Enzo) I find it interesting that Matt made up this big lie about his wife, yet the things the HGs think he is lying about are all the truth!

There's nothing that suggests to me that Britney will honor her word to Brendon, I wish she would see what an asset he could be if they had a final 2.

@ Michelle, ouch so sorry about your laptop. Screen on mine went out and I survived about 8 months with it hooked up to an old monitor so hope yours lasts a long time.
The bald Brendon is growing on me every day, maybe bald I can sepearate him from the tool that I always thought of as the Brendon that was so controlled by Rachel.
Now if only my girl Brit would realize that Brendon is probably her best bet moving forward, she had a huge opportunity while chained to him to bond, he was the perfect gentlemen.
I hope Lane stays true to Brit. I can't believe I am going to say that Brit and Brendon are now my hope for final 2. Matt will win the prize for years to come for best non personal game play, every move has been strategic with zero invested emotions. His ability to compartmentalize and never feel any remorse at some of his moves is sorta spookey.

I'm so frustrated and discouraged with this season right now. I know the gameplay has amped up and most are loving it but it's just making me sad. I know most hate Ragan but I still sorta like him. He's playing crappy right now by putting all his trust in Matt but at least I can respect his loyalty. Matt has coninually stabbed Ragan in the back. Hayden took those prizes and they are keeping that info from Brit so she believes Matt took the prizes. Britney thinks Lane is totally on her side and I think he would vote her out in a heartbeat. His comments to the others about having her "under control" infuriate me....as do Brendons claims to have Rachel and Kathy's jury votes under control. There seems to be so much disrespect for women with these guys. I never thought week 2 that Britney would be the most rootable person in the house for me.
There are 3 realities to this game. What we know, what the HGs know and what the HGs assume they know.
We know everything because we're just that good. Ha-ha. But I am trying to put myself in the heads of the HGs.
What they 'know'-Matt's wife has a horrible disease and he can't afford medical treatment. Should anyone give up their chance to play the game because of that? No, but you would think they would play with a little more humanity.
What at least 2 of them assume and have decided it's a fact- Matt took the prizes. At least 4 of them (including Matt) know this is not true. But the 3 who were supposed to have his back have placed the blame completely on him.
What all but 2 assume and have also decided is a fact-Matt's the saboteur. They are so sure they are right that this is one more justifiable reason to get him out.
What at least 2 of them assume-Enzo's wife has a really good job and makes a shit-ton of money. The 2 who assume this are still throwing Matt under the bus in order to keep Enzo in the game.
Matt has become public enemy #1. Not only do they consider him a competitor and a threat to their game, not only do they consider him a threat in final 2 because of the sympathy vote, it seems like they consider him to be at the root of all evil.
The BG has completely erased all memory of the deals they had to carry fake alliances and the fact they they have all thrown their fake alliances under the bus. (and yes, unfortunately, this also includes Lane)
I don't think anyone with a sad story deserves to win anymore than anyone else. They all gave up a lot to be here. But they are doing it in such a nasty way. Based on the fact that they 'know' Matt's wife is sick, it kind of sickens me that Enzo and Hayden would not only campaign for themselves but completely lie and set Matt up for something they did. Unfortunately, Lane is also guilty because he knows the truth.
It makes me a little sad to see what greed would do to people. Matt came into the house playing this game with the lie. But only we know that. Enzo, in my opinion, is probably not much different in his real life. But Hayden seemed like a nice guy who's recent actions seem quite heartless. (and yes, unfortunately, Lane is guilty of this too.)

I can't believe that I actually feel a little sorry for Matt. IMO, he tried for too long to play both sides. If he had gotten Britney out with the DPOV instead of Kathy, I think the BG would have stayed with him.
I like Brendon much more now and admire how he has fought to stay. I don't think he will make it to the end though. No one has his back, and that's a must at this point in the game.
Ragan really got on my nerves with Britney last night. Obviously, he will say anything to get her to keep Matt. He kept speaking for Matt, and I couldn't understand why Britney didn't pick up on the fact that Matt is not promising her final 3, only Ragan. Or did I miss something?
I was reading yesterday's comments and saw how some idiot had the nerve to challenge Carolyn for not being chained to the desk publishing blog comments. What nerve, my suggestion for Carolyn is to tell the idiot to put $1000/week in the tip jar and she will happily consider being chained. For $5K/week it is a deal.
What do idiots expect? Carolyn, Genie and Lessa do this because they love BB and in doing so support each of us, how dare someone criticize them for anything at all.

Can't wait till the renom is done. I am so afraid Britney will not get rid of Matt at the last minute. He needs to go. I have not been a Matt fan since the lie about his wife. I know the game, and I realize you lie, cheat and backstab. BUT IMO that is just going too far. For those of us who do have a disease or some disability, or love someone who does, it is too much to let go.

I've been thinking hard here, and know what? WE have the luxury of knowing absolutely EVERYTHING and being able to judge what should be done clearly and concisely.
The Hamsters don't. We forget that.
We seem to be frustrated w/Britney for "not making the right choices" when we totally forget that she knows NOTHING of what WE know of the others and she's a naively trusting soul who thinks she knows what she knows and that's the end of it.
Poor kid. Poor Matt. SOMEBODY needs to take out ENZO before he meow-meows him self into half a million.
Stephanie from the West Coast, I have the extra monitors because one is for a still broken computer that we hope will be repaired one day soon.
The other ones, well the reason for all of them were great package deals that came with free monitors. Since I never know when one might go out, and I'm a hopeless pack rat, I never throw or give anything away.
I know there are great charities that could use them, and that's the only way I would get rid of one, but I'm not going to go with Goodwill or Salvation Army because they would go to their stores for resale and I'm not sure how much that would help the people they serve.
I would donate to a school or non-profit organization for startup needs if I could find one.

I think there is a chance Matt will expose the Brigade but it would only be to screw their game up. It would not help him to stay - it would just piss off Lane and Hayden, the votes he needs. He'd have to work overtime on Brendon and it would take a DPOV type of miracle to win that vote. So, I think it could be in his pocket to throw at them on the way out but I don't think it can save him. But this IS Big Brother after-all...so anything is possible.

To those who have lost thier furry friends, so sorry to hear of your loss. We lost one about 18 months ago that had been with our family for over 10yrs. The kiddo's still talk about her chasing the lizards around.
I just hope that Regan listened when Britany told him...you would be surprised what people will say when their back is up against the wall. I don't think Regan has thought that she was probably talking about Matt. It just wouldn't occur to him, I don't think.
@Julie R, I agree with you. I almost lost my mother 3 time back in '07. Thankfully she is alive now but has been disabled since then. I don't think I would be any good at this game because I couldn't and wouldn't lie about the health of one of my loved ones. I was raised and have always taught my kids too that you don't lie about one of your loved one's health and you never swear on someone's life.
So I would probably loose at BB...lol

I didn't originally want Matt to win. I actually didn't even like him at first. I haven't started rooting for him harder, just not rooting for the few people I did like as much.
I would almost like to see Brit and Ragan as final 2 just because the BG are such a bunch of idiots and I have never rooted for Brendon. And what would both humiliate and infuriate 4 he-men more than to lose to a tiny little girl and a tiny little gay man.
I do still love Lane. On a personal note, aside from the game, he has become my favorite HG. But I don't want to see him play like a total scumbag. Supporting the prize lie in order to keep Enzo in the house is a scumbag move because the only one who will suffer is Britney. I think that's kind of heartless. I know, I know, it's part of the game. But there have been a few player's who made it through with most of their morals and values still in tact. A couple of them actually won.
