BB12: Morning Report - Friday, Aug. 6th
Good Morning BB Lovas! Happy Nomination Day!
What should we be expecting on the live feeds today?
Pre-nomination campaigning and post-nomination drama, followed by more campaigning. Possibly the opening of Pandora's Box, and Ragan's ensuing long DR session when he finds the envelope waiting for him. Will he accept the challenge? Based on his modus operandi thus far, it's doubtful he will take the risk. Will Enzo then be offered the task because the twist needs to stay alive? If so, will he accept? My personal prediction is he will because it means cash in his pocket and no skin off his nose. But who knows? This is the BB house we're talking about, and after last night's Endurance Competition, even production must learn to expect the unexpected...
Welcome to a new week in the BB house! The game has reset and the power has shifted.
It's not surprising that Matt is planning on putting Brendon and Rachel on the block. The house target has changed from last week, however; the consensus is that Rachel is much more dangerous at Question/Answer Competitions which they're expecting next week for HoH, therefore Rachel must go before Brendon. Of course, there is always PoV, and Rachel ain't no slacker... She has a lot of fight in her yet.

What kind of campaigning will we expect today? Rachel will probably offer Matt her 5K bribe to avoid the block. Tears will be shed and pleading will ensue.... Will the tension between the power couple increase and will this new threat put an end to their showmance? Will Jeff and Jordan make their surprise entrance into the house today?

Brendon comes back in and Rachel says something unintelligible about a dream she had. Then silence as Brendon watches over her.

Hayden: Britney gets up, turns the light on, and Rachel starts crying... (Hard to hear. He has no mic.)
Enzo: Oh my G-d! America hates her..

Enzo is explaining(lying) to Brendon about why he slept in Jumanji. Talk turns to being tired. Their participation in that long and exhausting Endurance Comp took everything out of them. (**Eye roll... Yeah I won't be getting over that any time soon.)
Talk turns to the ongoing Lock Down.
Enzo: I have not heard any signs of dismantlement.
Brendon: I have never heard anyone use dismantlement.

Lane: This Pandora's Box...

Feeds return to Matt telling Lane about Britney saving his ass last night...
Matt: What if it's Pandora's Box? It would be crazy.
Lane: It would be awesome.
Britney joins them.
Britney: What if it's another competition.
Matt: That would be awesome... They woke me up last night and told me.... BUBBLES!
BB has locked Matt out of HoH! Pandora's Box!!!
Talk turns to Rachel crying over the girls making out with girls conversation. Britney leaves and talk goes back to final 6 options... (** One step at a time, boys...)
Lane: Brendon ain't gonna win sh*t... (**Pot! There's a message from Kettle for you!)
The mocking of Brendon and Rachel commences before their first coffee is even done, intermingled with talk about production.
Genie: Stop talking about things you shouldn't, so I can freakin transcribe a whole conversation.
Ragan joins the bash-fest in Cabana... Talk turns to being tired, being woken up too early, why the heck they're locked out of the backyard and HoH, followed by plans for working out around their various sore bits.... (**Le sigh...)

Brendon and Enzo are fake bonding.
Brendon: I think he will put up Rachel and I.
Enzo: He probably will.
Then Brendon goes into turbo whispering... I can't make out a word. I think he said something about Matt gunning for Enzo next....
Enzo: If you guys get split up, and you stay. You, me and Hayden. Let's do something. Bam!
Brendon: I don't want Rachel to go before me.
Enzo: No?
Brendon: She deserves to be here more than I do.
Enzo is blowing tons of smoke in Brendon's direction.
Enzo: I don't trust Matt.
Rachel comes storming in.. She is ticked about being told that her shorts would offend someone. (By Kathy apparently)
BB: Matt. Please come to the Diary Room.
Rachel changes into something more appropriate. Rachel leaves Enzo and Brendon to their fake bromance. They are dissolving into fits of giggles.
The caped crusader joins the schmooze-fest. Hayden joins and jumps into bed. Lane starts to tell them about Matt being locked out of HoH by BB and we get.... (**Guess?)
Talk of the town. Big feet, Lock Down, PoV comp, margarita parties and barbecue grills. (**Rinse. Lather. Spin us into a coma.)
They are all seriously cracking up at their comp performance. When Brendon leaves later, the mocking begins.

Matt: Do you think they're setting up a new comp?
Hayden: They're probably cleaning from last night. But if it lasts a few more hours, then there is something else probably going on. (**Maybe they'll make you all retake the HoH Comp and the first 6 will be Have Nots and must dismantle the build as your punishment... A girl can dream.... heh)

Everyone else, except Ragan, are congregated in Taj. The topic of conversation? Rachel being ticked off at Kathy's shorts comment, and who she will throw under the bus. Rachel bashing ensues... Britney takes front and center with her deconstruction of Rachel. The plan is for Matt to take the $5 K bribe, putting Brendon and Rachel up anyway, and donate the money to charity...

Also, from last night, I don't know who commented that the comps and show won't get more exciting as long as so many in the house feel safe. ITA. AGP recognizes this, I think, and tried to help by giving Ragan enough clues about the boys. It just didn't work.
Which brings up my third issue today. I think that level of oblivion and blindness to the game is why some many of us are dissatisfied with the season and the players.

Sidenote Matt, Lane, and Ragan:
When it's true a little wallowing is allowed, the true test is what you do after that counts.
I see Britney is way ahead in the polls for playing the best game. I actually don't agree. She has one major weakness-her loyalty to and trust in Lane.
Matt is not my favorite-I can't get past the lie. But he is playing the game. He won't give up an HOH, not even to someone he should feel safe with. He has alliances and sub-alliances but he won't put his own game at risk for anyone. He won't necessarily stab someone (like Ragan) in the back, but if that person becomes a liability he will not risk himself.
He makes his own decisions. He proved that with his first HOH. Even though everyone was thinking he was crazy he was able to trick most of them into believing he had 'a plan.'
He is not my fave, but I do respect that he flat out refused to make another deal with B & R last week. Especially since it was before the POV when he could have potentially gone up as a renom.
I like Hayden, but I think if Matt and Ragan could have swayed Brit for a 4th vote, Kristin actually could have been more of an assett to Matt's game.
Also, who are they trying to convince with all the talk of how sore they are? These are people who have been working out. It takes more than that for even me to be that sore.

Aimee - I completely agree with everything you say. Ragan used to be my favorite. But after seeing that he was blatantly told by production about the Brigade, with Kristen re-confirming it, and him STILL being completely blind and not believing it? That was the last straw for me. I still think he's very intelligent, but like many others in the game is playing a very emotional game when it comes to Matt. All of this mixed in with the fact that NO ONE is playing for themselves and going with the majority...makes for a very dry and bland season.

Now we have a game. real strategies about whose better to leave and who you want late in the gameand trying to make that happen. There's gonna be alot of quizzes and mental comps to come which will give the brigade problems.
I see alot of inter-brigade plotting coming soon, so I am now anti-Brigade again, since it's gonna be an individual game in the end.
I was glad to see yesterday alot of postersreally disliking Enzo the magnificent. I knew he was a dirty schiester the second he opened his mouth.
Rachel better stop whining and playing this game.

I do appreciate that maybe they are starting to realize that they aren't a great set of houseguests if the conversation from last night is any indication. Question about the Sab 2: Will he have to forfeit his chance at the $500,000 grand prize. If Sab 1 was successful, she would have walked out the door with just $50,000. Has anything been mentioned re: that?
Either way, I don't think Ragan would do it. It just doesn't gel with his gameplay. If offered to Enzo, I don't think he would do it either. He is too PRO-BRO-GADE!!! And being Sab 2 would most probably throw some salt in that Brigade Final 4 plan.
Couldn't the reason the power in the box is the most powerful because it unleashes the sabeteur... probably one of the most sneaky things ever relased into the BB house... it might not give the HOH any more power in the game... it could be a check for 10 grand or a vacation or something but the power lies in taking the prize

Not in defense of Rachel's comments, however in the back of my mind I recognize the impact the producers have on what is telecast on many of these reality shows. I feel that production has more to do with what is shown in the goodbye messages than the HGs realize. And in this particular situation I feel they lead her into the My Man comment.
I have also been an addicted fan of Bachelor/Bachelorette and the expose that has occurred with those producers has supported the fact about producer's impact on the outcome.
It seems to me that some of the previous HG's have eluded to the fact that they had been influenced in their comments by what the production person had said to them in their DR sessions. And it is important that we always keep in the back of our minds that this is a business that is totally focued on ratings, hence income.
So whether it is DR attempting to out an alliance, or messages being ones containing repetitous wording why are we surprised?
I was one that was initially upset with Rachel's comment. But after having time to absorb it, I recalled how Frank and Justin had been portrayed by their producers. And I attempted to recall any other time that Rachel is so emphatic about someone coming between her and her man. Yes she was upset that Kristen had talked to Brendon alone. But I feel production brought all the rest into play.

They dont want other HGs knowing of production's deceit, but also the Live Viewers.
I wish pandoras box was like Matt had to give up HOH to someone (which I think would be to Ragan aka the new potential sabeteur) in exchange for getting immunity for next week or something... no likely, but I can dream damn it!

I seriously think I may take a break from the feeds and comments for a week. I am starting to lose my interest and it is a shame. The constant bashing of the underdogs when all are doing crap is disgusting.
The constant lack of playing the game and throwing comps is disgusting.
I miss the days when people hung on to a key or whatever for hours because they knew they were not safe.
I miss the fire in the belly of Janelle and Dick who were targeted constantly and never gave up.
I miss the fun of seasons past and the constant ridiculing of others.
I also believe that the Sab. 2.0 will ONLY be offered to one person, the one who is even more delusional in this game than Rachel and Brendan.

Hi. I noticed that no one has caught what they said on CBS during the announcement to vote for the new Sabot. They said that if the person declines, it will NOT be offered to someone else. The only way they would have offered it to someone else is if the person who won was voted out at the last eviction. So if Ragan declines, the offer is DEAD.
Also, I am so annoyed by BB this season, to the point where I almost don't even want to watch anymore. Production seems to be WAY too involved and it is really pissing me off. I had posted on BB Dish FB last week that a lot of what is going on seems very fake to me. Like bad acting. Now I know that I am right. Especially after last night with the constant bubbles. That is when production in putting their 2 cents in and forcing the outcome of the game. It's just ridiculous!

I find it strange that the shorts were "too short", but in past seasons girls ran around in bathing suits all day long, even cooking in the kitchen, (Sharon).
They shoulda left it alone, at least give us something legit to talk about.
Too bad Pandora's Box cant be a whole new cast of houseguests.
My husband told me this AM, "damn babe, you coulda won that comp." And that is actually saying alot since I am 40 and recently had my back fused. These guys are pitiful
I get more or a workout carrying laundy to the washer, pushing around the vacuum and holding onto my 80 pound Labrador. GGEEEEZZZZ

Oh, and I've said this before but I think if they get rid of Rachel first Brenden will be lost. He would be more likely to leave on his own than Rachel. And even though I'm not a Bro-gade fan, to me that's the best thing they can do is get rid of Rachel first.
And I think it's a shame Brenden hooked up with Rachel. I think if he hadn't have he would have been able to bond with the other guys and had a shot. Right now he seems like the fifth wheel trying to fit in.
Actually, according to the AG interview in Entertainment Weekly, Annie would have left the game after the 5th week. She would not have been able to keep playing for the 500,000.
JLuv: That is a very disturbing statistc about the omlettes! I would imagine if you ordered whatever one they had that was the most basic and asked for egg whites and only vegetables and no cheese it couldn't be more than a few hundred!

Maciemay....I agree with you 100%..Rachel is the only person in the house that is not afraid of the house. She plays to win, no matter what.
I do not like some of the things she has said, but she is playing the game..
If any of the others think they are doing a good job, than they better go back and watch all the BB episodes to see how to fight to win...

I am also a big fan of the Bachelorette/Bachelor shows and I agree with everything you have to say. The same thing for Survivor.
The producers want an exciting and interesting show to watch and they tell people to act a certain way and to be more dramatic for the cameras...
and this is why all the hate towards certain people bothers me. They don't want a boring monotone do nothing HG... but rather one that stirs emotions and leading questions over and over again to get a certain wanted clip is so obvious. When people sit in the DR for hours for a minute of footage... there is plenty of edits to pick from.
This is why Evel Dick was so great... he played along and unlike these bores was good entertainment. Bashing and talking about production is boring after the first couple of weeks.

HeatherMN: I completely agree. Boring season. Two thumbs down. Most of the houseguests are completely unlikeable, and not even in that "love to hate way." I more am thinking "why did AGP casting think you were worth putting on TV? You aren't entertaining me!" LOL
Aimee: I agree. I have had some friends over to watch the show recently.... I had been watching reruns of Season 8 and they got addicted and wanted to see the new season. I prefaced it by saying that since Season 6 it has been SOOOO good except for Season 9 which didn't get too good until the last few weeks... but this is the worst season I have watched! I just keep watching in hopes that a game changer will happen.. not so much yet...

I did not hear this whole conversation so I may be wrong. Sounds like Rachel feels sorry for Britney and Nick because 1. Britney has never been to a sex party 2. Britney doesn't make out with other girls 3. Britney wants to have a family.
Rachel pities them and the boring life they will have. My sister was a conservative, good girl. She has a beautiful home, two really good kids and she enjoys life. I had a wild streak and don't regret it but thinking of my daughters---I prefer not to think of them doing some of the things I did.
Anyways, different things make different people happy. To each his own, live and let live and all the other cliches.

I think there's a flaw in the plan to take the $5000 and still put Rachel and Brendon up. Then they won't give him the money. If one part of the deal is violated it's voided and they don't have to give him the money.

I'm kind of with you Heather. I usually have the feeds up all day everyday. In fact I watched during the day at work last summer. I have missed days at a time and I don't even worry about it. That's in part due to Carloyn, Genie, and Lessa and in part due to the fact that it's just not as much fun as usual. I just turned them off to read my book. Well, maybe I'll leave them on but muted in case Jeff and Jordan do come visit today.

Is it possible for Rachel and Matt to treat the diary room as a trust account? LOL! Rachel puts a lock box in the diary room with the 5000 chip in it, if Matt doesn't nominate them initially or as a replacement, she gives him the key.
If it were under normal circumstances, I would say that her giving the money in exchange for no noms was just a risk of the game... but why does Matt have to bring his wife into it?! He could just as easily of said "ill take it and not keep my word." But instead he had to bring up his wife's "illness." That is just very offensive to people who actually have been dying of illnesses and don't have the money to take care of it... maybe he should take that $ and donate it to a REAL charity.

Maybe Matt is just telling everyone that he will take the money and put them up anyway, but he KNOWS that if he does take the money he cannot. Then when nom's happen, he can just tell his BRO-GADE, "They wouldnt let me! Since I took the moeny, I couldnt put them up!"
That way, he can still work both sides like week two.

Stephen - Matt didn't say it was for his wife's charity at first. He just said I want to take it and give it to charity or something, just to take it from her. Kathy suggested another charity and then someone (I think Britney) said he will probably give it to Stacey's then he backed up and said oh yeah I will split it between Kathy's and Stacey's. I don't agree with the lie but he was just throwing something out there to get the point across he wouldn't take the money to get money, just to be mean to Rachel.
Every season, there is always a group of houseguests who think they are the "chosen" people and somehow better and more deserving to win the game. They are a bunch of self-righteous bores who make fun of and mock everyone else in the game and usually just sit around and not really play a good game. This season, it's the so-called "Brigade" plus honorary members Ragan and Britney. Everyone talks crap about Rachel & Brendon who, besides actually playing the game, don't waste endless hours bashing other people in the house to entertain themselves. They have had gigantic targets on their back since week one, just because they like each other. They made a mistake by acting on their attraction too blatently, but it's too late to change that now. So even with the gigantic targets on their back, they still managed to make it to week 5. They are at least playing and playing to win. The other slugs, Lane, Enzo, Hayden, Kathy and Ragan are just taking up space.
I know that Rachel or Brendon is going to be leaving this week. My only hope is that once they do go, the other one comes back with a fury and stomps on the heads of the other remaining floating dorks.
I've been busy lately and not able to read comments, but I', glad to see it's not just me. This cast is LAME. Britney has potential, Enzo is starting to make me laugh (at not with) and Lane is sorta funny I guess. There's no one I love to hate, there's no one I love to love and Ragan is QUICKLY getting more boring. At least Kristin is gone. I hated her and I didn't love it.
Hysterical: Matt beats it out of there mumbling, "Please don't give me my room back. I don't want to talk to them. I'd rather shoot myself in the face."
