BB12: The Penguin versus The Gremlin
Good Afternoon BB Enthusiasts!
I'm just patiently waiting for the live feeds to go nuts. How could they not?
Zing! Matt has been renominated to share the block with Enzo. The question remains, when will the gloves come off? In this corner, we have "The Penguin" weighing in at 175 lbs* with a nasty beak that can tear to shreds, and claws of a predatory cat. In the other corner, we have "The Gremlin" weighing in at 145 lbs* of pure diabolical super- genius, and ninja moves powered by diamonds. (*weights are approximate)
But what is this?
Zing! Ragan has found out that his buddy for whom he cried buckets of tears has him good and wedged under the bus wheels. Will he jump into the ring and confront Matt and annihilate him with his communications savvy and pontification?
But hold up! That's not all!
Zing! The New Brigade who have fitted "The Gremlin" with cement shoes have thrown their caps, straw hats, long hair into the ring! Will "The Beast", "The Animal" and "The Meow Meow" succeed; or will "The Gremlin" prevail?
Those are a heck of a lot of questions!

Brendon and Hayden congratulate each other for making it to Final 6. Talk moves to Matt who they both agree didn't fight for PoV.
Hayden: If you make it to final 2, you have my vote. When I get to Jury I will put all emotions aside, I will vote on game... I have said and done things I wouldn't normally have...
Talk turns to how their emotions got carried away and they all have done/said things they regret. They talk about who could and could not use the money, deciding that it's not up to them. Brendon goes on to say that the reason he targeted Ragan and Britney was personal (because they were mean to Rachel), and then when Matt started being obnoxious, he set his sights on him.
Talk turns to the people in the house that are left are pretty much getting along. Brendon says he really likes Hayden and Enzo and would love to hang with them after the show (*even after you see the tapes?) Talk turns to Vegas and what a blast they would have.
Hayden tells Brendon that they cannot talk game in Jury, that there will be a handler with them 24/7. Game talk can only happen while there are cameras around. (**Skippy must have fallen asleep...)
They start on Competition Jedi training.
Which is exactly what Ragan is doing with the camera in Cabana when he is called to DR. Before that he put his master plan together. Win the next HoH, evict Brendon, then infiltrate the pairs (Hayden/Enzo and Lane/Britney) evict one of each and make it to final two.

BB: House Guests. This is a Lock Down. Please go outside and close the sliding glass door.
Brendon: Who went to DR? Ragan? Watch him have a power or something. If that happens, I'm done.
Hayden and Brendon go inside to get tops. Matt comes out with Lane, saying there is something weird going on, that Ragan was called to DR and now a Lock Down.
Lane: You don't think Ragan hit the red button?
Enzo: He quit?
Britney: No way!
They all come out and no Ragan. Lock Down in effect with Ragan in DR. Speculations are flying. (**Hmm. That is very weird.) Matt thinks that they are fixing the camera and figured Ragan would have an extra long DR, so they can do both. The others don't think so. Brendon is saying BB is just doing things to make them more paranoid. Lane says BB keeps stealing their ideas.

We get a feed leak!
LOL! They are cleaning the fish tank... while they are all getting paranoid outside! Britney finally gets it, saying that they are scooping out the dead fish.

BB: You're not allowed to talk about Production.
Enzo: Oh you're there! What's going on!
BB: House Guests. The Lock down is over. You're now allowed to move about the house.
They go check the fish. The dead fish is still there. They check Storage. Nothing. DR door is not accessible, meaning Ragan is still there.
- Lane and Matt hop into bed.
- Hayden, Britney and Enzo congregate in the kitchen. Brendon joins.

Hayden and Enzo hang out in HoH. They wonder what's up with Ragan. They say that Ragan has a lot on his mind, betrayed by a friend.

Enzo: Tims is running out. We have to win. We're running out of people to shun. This is the time players are remembered when they step up.
Britney and Lane join.
Enzo: What you think is happening with Ragan?
Britney: Nothing. He has a lot to talk about. A lot to get through.
Let the strategizing begin!

Enter Matt.
In Britney's bed, he hops.
He tells them he's tried DR twice but they wouldn't let him in. (**Anxious Matty?) Lane goes downstairs. Enzo and Britney say they love Lady Gaga; Hayden not so much.
Hayden leaves, trapping Britney with Matt and Enzo... the two she nominated for eviction... Skippy follows Hayden! (*I like this Skippy!)

Lane: Me and you are sitting in the best spot for Final 2.
Hayden: Except I told you about the prizes. I shouldn't have done that.
Lane: Yeah. You shouldn't have! (He laughs.) Me and you are sitting in the best spot for Final 2.
Matt joins them. Topic of discussion? Ragan, then food. Then an awkward silence descends with a whole lot of things floating around unsaid.
Matt wants to know if Ragan ejects would the nominations stand. Lane doesn't think so. Hayden thinks they will keep the noms the same and not have a double eviction.

Britney: I think he's mad at Matt. I wasn't sure what that speech was about. I thought he was mad at Hayden. When Ragan came up I asked him.... He was mad at Matt because Matt said that he is in this position because Ragan was hardcore campaigning for him. (*paraphrasing and condensing)
They go on to discuss the things we have already transcribed today. What Matt said to Enzo about Ragan. What Matt said to Britney about Enzo and Ragan. They see Ragan and Matt on the spy screen and boot it out of HoH before they can come upstairs.

Matt follows Ragan to the hammock.
Matt: You don't seem like the normal Ragan tonight.
Ragan: Well...
Matt: I don't want to adversely affect your game, and if you need to distance yourself for me.
Ragan: I don't think it makes any difference.... It doesn't help that first thing this morning I am told that you are throwing me under the bus... and it doesn't help that the things you were saying in the kitchen sounded exactly like that...
Matt: Britney though I was throwing you under the bus? No... that's not it. No....
Ragan: You knew the three talking points I was going to bring up to Britney and then you tell me you're in this spot because I was campaigning for you.
Matt: I didn't bring you up. She was bringing you up. (**Matt gives him the fairy tale version of his conversation with Britney. Question is? Will Ragan buy it?) Do you want me to talk to Britney and explain?
Ragan: No. It makes no difference until I see the DvD to see what really happened. This whole thing opened my eyes about what I need to do from now on... And I went up to talk to Brendon last week, when I didn't want to, and I shouldn't have but I was encouraged to do. I've done things that have increased the target on my back.
Matt: I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it like that or to be taken that way.
Ragan: I didn't have to say anything in the kitchen.... It's what you said in the kitchen unsolicited. I was like wow!
Matt is still playing dumb and innocent, putting all the blame on Britney.

Ragan: I don't know. I don't feel comfortable sharing my observations.
Matt: I don't want to lose that... (**I hear words coming out of his mouth but nothing that's new)
Ragan: The webs of friendships and alliances in the house, with you leaving, makes me expendable.
Matt: That's the best position to be in. That's why they would want to keep you... Whatever conversation you want to have with whoever you want in the room, I'll do it. (*Do it!)
Ragan: Our friendship is the realest friendship in the house. I do think that your back was up against the wall this morning. Given the choice between the two of us, you wanted to stay.
Matt continues to lie even with the out Ragan just gave him. He is saying that he was only defending himself, when in reality, he was trying to get Ragan put up.
Ragan: I needed a swift kick. I need to play the game for myself. I have been zombie Ragan this whole time. I needed this wake-up call.
Boys! Britney is right there! I can hear her voice. Go get her!
Matt: If I;m going out the door, I;m going out the door.
Ragan: As a friend, I'm telling you it's a done deal.
Matt: Who have you talked to?
Ragan: It's just an impression I have.
Matt: I don't want to lose your trust whether I stay, I don't care.
Ragan: We will stay friends. As far as trust, in this game, it's all an illusion. (*Welcome to Big Brother on Day 52...)
Ragan goes on to pontificate on his theory that the three guys (BG 3D) are an alliance, then there is an overlap with Lane and Britney and another one with Hayden, Enzo and Brendon. Matt is doing such a bad acting job on pretending not to know any of this, that I am stunned Ragan doesn't see this.
BB don't call Hayden to the DR! Call Matt! Why do you hate me this much? Fifty minutes later, this is ongoing and pointless. The only useful thing said is by Ragan who tells Matt he is going on Thursday no matter what.
Finally, an hour later, Britney comes over to check in with Ragan. Ragan starts talking about his DR, and BB voice-slaps him. Britney leaves.
Matt: Watch her when I'm gone.
Ragan: Why?
Matt: Talking about someone who does double-talk... She's more dangerous than Brendon... Watch her like a hawk.... You have my Jury Vote.
Ragan: That goes without saying but my chances are slim.
Matt: Well, if I could stay then your chances widen... I will keep trying... (to stay)
Ragan: If I can get the next HoH... then I think some of what you're saying can pan out. That will get me into the group of five... I would have to survive two more evictions to get to the group of 3. (*Notice he changes subject?)

Free at last! Free at last! They end their conversation and Skippy follows them inside where there are other people doing stuff, like getting food and eating...
The Haves and the Have Nots Eating together and talking in a civilized manner.
- Enzo, Hayden, Lane and Brendon go outside to play pool.
- Britney asks how Matt is. She says that he looks very depressed.
- Skippy wakes up for a hot minute.
- Ragan is talking about the speed of D.E.
- Brendon goes inside and Hayden tells them that Britney told him Ragan thinks they are in an alliance. Enzo says, "Who cares? Matty is going home. Britney is still gonna be with us."
- Skippy rears his ugly head because Ragan has found his vocal cords again and keeps talking about Production....

I don't think it is happening but if Ragan hit the red button Matt would get to stay. Brit's HOH would be like Michelle's when Chima left. Ragan helping Matt, at this point, is the biggest reason I don't think it is happening.

As a person who despises Enzo's game play I will answer that. Enzo talks all about the BG and loyalty but the first chance he saw greener pastures he went there. Matt won HOHs for the BG. He kept them in the game. He hung out with Ragan to throw the scent off the BG. People started to suspect that Enzo and Hayden were together or those two plus Lane but they never suspected Matt was too. Matt has been 100% loyal and Enzo has been a great big rat. I want Enzo out that door Thursday. It's probably a pipe dream but you can dream.
AGP wants to mess with us so they called Ragan to the DR and then a lockdown outside just to mess with the house and with the live feed viewers.
Barbara - I had just enough time to run some errands and have dinner. I need to pace myself since I've started a bit early. :)

I dared to F5 and saw something about Regan in DR and others on lockdown. Think it's a meltdown or is he doing a DOR to save Matt?
I'd be very afraid if I were Matt, but he would deserve it. I can definitely see Regan becoming a stalker after the season is over.

Ha@ the paranoia! If I were Britney I'd be freaking out. I am okay with her decision, I have no idea what I would have done.
This week is when it gets REALLY hard to nominate. She's doing VERY well keeping Ragan on her side and getting the BG and even Brendan to her side the best she can. I gotta give it up for her communication skills.
Still my girl! She came to PLAY and I love when someone comes into the house to PLAY...unlike Enzo. I just WISH people would see that HE NEEDS TO GO! They are going to let those three dudes get to the end and they are SO going to regret it after the show.

As "logical" as Ragan likes to think that he is, he is playing the game personally and so is blinded to the fact that he needs Brendon. He, Brendon and Brit need to team up and break up the BG--if Matt exposes them, that is. My thought is, they need to go ahead and let Matt go, then form a final 3 alliance.
Ragan thinks he can infiltrate one of the pairs, but what he doesn't realize is that it is much bigger than that. He hates Brendon so much that he is not even looking at that as a possibility.
Ragan's no ejecting himself, and Matt's not staying!!

All live shows are loud but there is loud and there is LOUD!!!! I work for a country radio station and we put on a summer concert I work at and it's no where near as loud as the metal shows I went to when I was younger. Lady GaGa is pop basically so her shows wouldn't be that loud. It really depends on what instruments are being played and how many amps are on stage.
Man, look at the way Lane is checking out Britney describing how to wash your hair in the have not shower . . . I was so waiting for the ear thing . . . I'm just saying . . .

Jeesh These guys practically have Ragan out the door. I wasn't getting the impression that Ragan was ready for a meltdown. He seemed rather calm when he was running thru the jedi training in the Cabana room. They might just be grilling him about what he's discovered about Matt today.

Cris - I was thinking the same thing. Gosh, I hope not. But why would that warrant a lockdown? 99% sure he is just venting and talking with the psychiatrist. And probably loving the idea of the HG's being paranoid with him being gone so long.

I think Ragan was prepared to forgive Matt for throwing him under the bus, understanding that this is game play. But Matt's now owning it when Ragan called him on it, without the Ragan drama, will be unforgivable in my mind. The fact that Ragan is not buying Matt's attempt to explain it away but says he wants to wait to review the tapes tells me he isn't buying it at all.
Matt is gonna have a lonely few days ahead, the 3DBG avoids him like the plague, Brendon can't stand him and now his bff chump Ragan is finally seeing the light.

Genie, sorry should have said it better. I know they told Matt they weren't splitting the vote. But I see it as they still let him think that it was a long decision they had come to rather than that from the moment Matt went on the block they had no intention of splitting the vote. Brit senses that and told that to Ragan. I think it is important that Matt not really understand that 3DGB set out to put him up as part of a strategy. He is suspicious but mostly feeling that they just prefer Enzo over him, versus he is the target.

O.K. Ragan just said the relationships in the house are as follows:
Hayden, Enzo and Lane
Hayden, Enzo and Brendon
Britney and Lane
He also said that at one point he believes Matt was a part of Hayden, Enzo and Lane.
No one thought he knew what was going on. Matt knows that Ragan is eventually going to find out everything. Why wouldn't he come clean at this point and tell Ragan the truth? His chances off staying are slim to none. At least if he spills his guts he leaves with some integrity and possibly salvages a friendship because he has said in his blogs that he considers Ragan a true friend. So the worst that happens is he walks out the door feeling good about something he did.
There is also a very small chance that Ragan could share this info with Brit who could then fill in Brendon. It probably wouldn't help, but 2 days can change a lot.
I'm just not understanding why Matt would feel any loyalty to the BG at this point. Most especially Enzo. I would think that after this week he would love nothing more than to see them follow him into the jury house one after another.
