BB12: Sunday Morning into Afternoon

Good Morning BB Lovas!

Another day, another drama on the live feeds... Britney won't be using the PoV, as she very nicely told Rachel who knows she has made her target now she has to writhe in it. She and Brendon are banking on a fictitious alliance with Hayden and Enzo to get one of them through next week, and the wheel keeps turning... And as their plans are about to come to their masterful fruition, the Brigade is poised to take control of the house. Hide little hamsters...

To catch up on last nights events, please refer to:

Will the saboteur make an appearance today? Will something happen to stem the tide of destruction raging towards Rachel? Can she even redeem herself on a personal level with one of her once closest friends in the house - Ragan?

Join me as we take a dive into the whirlpool....

10:20 AM BBT

No wake up call yet...

Brendon is up. He goes to the bathroom, returns to Taj to whisper with Rachel; then he changes his batteries and goes to the kitchen to prepare coffee.

10:27 AM BBT

Wakey, wakey House Guests!
Time to wake up and jump on that crazy wheel called Big Brother!

10:41 AM BBT
They're UP!

  • Brendon and Rachel are in the backyard, moving to the hammock. Rachel says, "Listen guys. We've decided that you can double evict us." They decide to use the 5K for a vacation when this is over. It seems Rachel has accepted the inevitable.
  • Kathy is up and having a smoke.
  • Enzo and Hayden are up and about. Enzo is planning on doing laundry.
  • Britney, Ragan & Lane are awake and complaining about the music this morning. Lane scoffs, "Justin Bieber" and we get bubbles. Thanks Lane! The feeds return to them bashing Brendon and Rachel. It begins...
  • They finally get out of bed and exchange their batteries.

  • Enzo and Lane have a morning game of pool while doing laundry. He jokes around with Brendon and Rachel across the yard.
  • Rachel is hoping there is double eviction so they both can be in jury and leave the house. If not, she hopes to go to Vegas instead of Jury. She and Brendon think that Matt, Britney and Ragan have controlled the whole season. Brendon thinks that Hayden and Enzo are decent people, and that Lane is blinded by Britney. Rachel likes Britney but says that Britney acts differently when she with her, than she is when the guys are around. She is most angry at Ragan. She now wishes she had kept Kristin in hindsight.
  • Hayden, Britney and Ragan are in the bathroom doing their morning routines.
  • Kathy has joined the bathroom crew.
  • Britney, Enzo and Lane sit down to have breakfast. Enzo says what is the purpose of "them" (Brendon and Rachel) doing game talk. Britney pipes in with her mockery. They do some Jedi training of their own. Britney says it's too early to have a Before/After competition. They move on to talk about what their loved ones are doing today... (**Much better.)
It's early morning and the venom is building on both sides... (*Le sigh)

11:20 AM BBT
Dining Room
Enzo & Lane

Enzo: You're going home. (Gesturing outside with his head.)
Lane: That's all they were doing , questioning you last night?
Enzo: They were telling me that Matt, Ragan & Britney have a strong alliance. They said can't trust Matty.... They think there's another alliance in the house that they know nothing about... Greatness! I have two words for you. Greatness!

Ragan comes in. General chit chat ensues.

Enzo: They told Matty I'm intimidating. Very physical but I don't win. They were throwing everyone under the bus... It's an honor.
Ragan comes back
Ragan: Look at all that scheming going on.
Enzo: They're practicing.

Enzo tells Ragan that they were warning him about Britney being a backstabber. Ragan says he wants no drama... Some Rachel bashing ensues. Rachel comes in to have breakfast. Ragan goes outside to sit with Hayden and Britney. Brendon is on the elliptical so they are minding their manners. Enzo joins them.

11:46 AM BBT
CUT TO:
Dining Room
Kathy and Rachel

Dead silence. Matt joins the silence. Britney passes through. Matt tries to initiate a discussion about his jeans. Not a word from Rachel, except to say, "I didn't get to compete for my life." (*You did in the PoV, honey. Now stop sulking. It ain't doing you any favors... I'm actually surprised the other two have sat there so long with her banging her spoon in her plate.)

11:52 AM BBT
She is ready to blow up folks. Duck for cover!
Kathy leaves.

Matt: Feeling any better Rach?
Rachel: Nope.
Matt: Sorry kiddo.
Rachel: Kiddo!
Matt: Come on!
Rachel: I just think I don't deserve to go home. Even if I had beat Kathy, I had to beat 7 other people.
Matt: It's flattering.
Rachel: It's not flattering. I don't deserve to go home.
Matt: It's not personal.
Rachel: It is personal. Ragan won't even talk to me.
Matt: I saw that.
Rachel: I am on the block, and I'm on the block against someone I love. You can't talk to me when you were my friend. Kathy can't apologize? It's just two words.

Matt: when it's not sincere. would you want it?
Rachel: I guess not. I just don't understand why everyone wants to go home? Is it because I'm feisty.
Matt: I have heard both sides. It doesn't mean you're going home.
Rachel: I am going home... Everyone hates me. The reason I have had attitude is because I have been in danger this whole time. I was happy the first week. Do you think I have wanted to be a b*tch. I haven't been safe.
Matt: You were safe the week I was HoH.
Rachel: Matt come on... All I do is get backed into the corner. I feel like a caged animal...

She goes on to talk about how Kathy stayed with her up in HoH the whole week and now she can't even apologize. Ragan passes through twice and doesn't acknowledge her. Matt goes on to gently explain to her that her behavior recently has turned people against her. He says that he is fine with her and Brendon and won't stop talking to them. He wants the old Rachel back. He talks about the Catch 22 situation in the house right now. Her attitude makes people react to her and their reactions aggravate her attitude. He advises her to try to be more approachable.

Rachel: Just wait until you come to my town and see how personal it is.

Matt tries to clarify what she meant but she won't. Discussion over. She leaves. Matt sighs. Rachel goes to Taj, gets into bed, covers herself up and starts sobbing. Brendon comes in. Says he will take a shower and come back. She tells him that Matt told her that she's making things personal and it's her fault everyone is treating her this way. Brendon is ready for a smack down... (**Le sigh.)

12:19 PM BBT
Backyard
Ragan, Lane, Enzo Hayden (napping) & Britney

Matt has gone outside to report his conversation to the backyard crew. (**Adding fuel to the Rachel hate.)
Ragan: She did have an opportunity to save herself. The Veto competition...
Lane: So was he chewing you out?
Matt: No basically she was b*tching... He goes on to reiterate the above conversation.
Britney: They are the biggest complainers in the house.
Lane: The reason no one wants to talk to them is because they will backstab you right after the conversation ends.

Everyone runs with that.

Taj
Brendon & Rachel

The same conversation rewind. Rachel has misrepresented the gist of her conversation with Matt to Brendon. He is on the war path against Ragan and Matt. (**Ruh roh!)

12:35 PM BBT
Bathroom

Brendon: No offense if you know all these people you're hanging out with, are coming after you during double eviction.
Kathy: I know that. I'm not hanging with them. Thank you for telling me.
Brendon: I'm sorry Rachel was so upset. It was hard.
Kathy: I understand that.
Brendon: They were celebrating and were super happy they got us out.
Kathy: I was happy to have done well.
Brendon: And I'm happy you did well. I know you have been struggling.
Kathy: I know they are coming after me. I'm pretty much alone.
Brendon: One of us gone this week, and they will go for the other one of us.

He's in the shower without a mic and can barely make it out.

Brendon: If I stay, I'm not after you. I'm after people who lied and cheated.

They amicably end that discussion and it turns to slop. Kathy thanks Brendon for the sweet tea, and he offers to make slop cookies for her.

Kathy: I can deal with the cold showers and the cot. I slept all day yesterday. I don't have any energy.
Brendon: Hang in there. I will make you some of that pasta stuff if you want.
Kathy: Thank you.

Brendon goes to Taj to tell Rachel about his discussion with Kathy.

Rachel: So you asked Kathy to vote for you.
Brendon: No.
Rachel: That's what it sounds like.

Sneaking outside to see what is up... I hear a bunch of snoring....

They're so sweet-looking when they're not talking...

~*~

Lisa M: If you read my follow up post, I admitted that their use of side alliances was smart and I gave them credit for that.... I also gave credit to Matt because I do think he is playing the game. I said they are the best of the worst.... realtive to everyone this season they look great BUT put them in any other season and they would be nothing...

I still disagree as to the others of the brigade.... how can you say "its a different way of playing the game" when they aren't playing the game at all? Not even TRYING in comps, hoping for vetoes that have luxuries so they can get something out of throwing it, etc.... that isn't playing and I don't have respect for it.

I see how people say floating is a good game strategy... but unless you are sitting at the end with another floater, floating is playing for 2nd place and to me playing for 2nd place isn't playing at all

Good morning everyone. Wow another night of Rachel and Brendan bashing, and also watching them become more clueless by the minute. Of course, everyone is still clueless to the Brigade. Seeing that R and B are pretty much done, I have now shifted my fandom towards the Brigade. Not that I even like any of them either, but I now despise Regan and Brit. Can't wait to watch the Brigade eat them up. That's what mean people get! Lol. Man, R and B are really going to feel like fools when they watch back. I really do think Brendan is a good dude. Oh well. Have fun guys.

I wanted to say this on the overnight report but I guess I can say it here.

Carolyn, I think it's adorable when you're recapping the night's events and say something along the lines of, "Brendon and Rachel are under the covers... you can check it out in the flashbacks if that's your sort of thing."

I don't think Brendon/Rachel hanky panky is every ANYONE'S thing but it's still really cute and nice of you to make the effort. :)

Good Morning Genie and all you lovely dishers~

Good Morning Prince Charming, or should I say Fairie Princess??? Either way you can be mine on the dish . . .

Watching the feeds last night was sort of like watching one of these shows that are on MTV, everyone is just mean, saying mean things about people, acting like their sh*t don't stink . . .

Rachel knows she is going and she is going to Jedi train the sh*t out of Brendon, probably to no avail. One comment made about him is spot on ~ the man chokes in/on competitions. Rachel would have better aligned herself with someone else, I am afraid . . .

As for the Brigade: Matt is kind of like the mob boss, yes the brains. Enzo and Hayden are the henchmen, they do whatever is instructed by their boss. Lane, well, he really just seems to be the one that doesn't really talk much so he is the silent guy. Having their side alliances revealed was a brilliant move, all the HG's see that alliance so they are truly unaware of the big picture here . . .

Ragan, someone needs to really analyze how different he has become. They have all touched on it, just not followed through.

Britney, well, I have fallen off of that train as she is just going back and forth spilling only enough beans to have everyone look somewhere else . . .

Kathy, please free the catapillars! And go home . . .

Brendon, he believes people way to quickly and we are watching this large, beautifully built man stumble . . .

My Little Julie Chen alliance (boy I wish we had a different name) which horse looks like its going to actually finish this race? Right now my money is on Matt, don't want it to be . . .

As far as the Brigade goes they are all playing the game. They are going undetected, they are positioning themselves to be the final 4, winning comps does not define good game play IMO.

If you are standing at the end you must have done something right.

I can't take another day of B/R bashing...The house says they are sick of B/R talking about everyone, but isn't that what they are doing.
I don't care who wins this season. I do think it would be funny if Brendon stayed and at least made it to F2, but we know that is not going to happen because the Brigade is ruling the house now. I hope that when this game, if you can even call it a game, is over that Ragan looks back and realizes he WAS PLAYED and he deserves it. Him and Brit are mean girls...

Good morning all and Happy Sunday!

The Brigade IS playing the game. How can anyone say Matt is not playing, he has won 2 HOH's now. The other members are on the sidelines and making alliances and gathering information.

They are also ALL STICKING together which is oh so rare. Even willing to go on the block to get another person out.

Regardless, they are all being very strategic and thinking every move through.

Britney - Well she's a smart cookie. I think we can all agree her gameplay is ridonculous. Haha. In a good way! Love her and Ragan and still voting for those two to make it to the end.

After this week, if Britney wants to stay longer, I have a feeling she KNOWS she has to win HOH this week and she's going to be fighting hard for it and is in the process of gathering people together to make some sort of alliance and if she's smart she'll put up Matt and Enzo with the excuse that she wants to backdoor Brendan....we'll see!

Yes, I am on board with the House getting Ragan out next . . . now, how do we get the HG's to do our bidding . . .

If Captain America can pull a win off and win HOH, put up Matt and Ragan . . . Matt could win the POV, but so could Britney and so could Brendon . . .

Best Case scenario, with Brendon as HOH: Matt Ragan - no one takes them off and Ragan goes out the door, BB12 just got rid of the second saboteur . . . they will go down in history . . .

Oh my, look at the time . . . I do need to get out the door, I will take my laptop with me to my son's house and I will check back it because I really can't go to long with out my fix of the BBDish! Gotta Have IT!!!

I completely agree about Ragan, but I'm still unclear on how Matt will act if his buddy is on the block. Matt seems to me like he could some how operate against the Brigade. I think Hayden, Enzo, and Lane prob need to feel safe in the Brigade, but Matt can advance pretty easily without them, and he knows it. I think that situation could be something to keep an eye on. Matt, I'm starting to believe, is thinking pretty far ahead in the game. There may be a lot of things that make Matt unlikeable, but for those who like a smart game player, he could be the guy to root for.

that 'armchair' was so spot on. If Regan hadn't become such a little bitch, I could feel more sorry for him when he gets that big dose of reality. Now, not so much.

I could blame his actions on picking up Matt's ways, but I'm not going to because Regan was a compassionate person when the game started and I think Regan is his own man. He didn't have to go there. I didn't think he would be that easily influenced. He is definitely thinking with that other head.

I really wanted him to go far, but now I'm not feeling it. I'm not feeling it for any of them now except maybe Brendon.

I'd love to see Brendon pick it up and clean house not domestically but game-wise the rest of the season. I really think, or at least hope, he has been holding back because he knows Rachael has made herself the bigger target with her mouth and general... I can't say that word here. It's a derivative of a word that would crumble Rule #5 and I already push the Rules beyond acceptable limits at times.

Brendon (and this might be the only time I say anything negative about him) does whine a lot about the endurance competitions. I'll give everyone that one, but I have a but.

He's just a little off target on his reasoning. Endurance comps are almost, but not exclusively, geared for a female to win. This season differs only in that Matt is 'petite' for lack of a better word.

Jordan floated her way to victory last season and I couldn't have been happier for her to beat natalie, but she did float. When she was on the block, she was always the less threatening and was saved till the end where she won a couple of the most important comps. It's easier to beat two or three people than six or eight.

You can win BB floating.

You can't win BB if your not in the Final 2

I have a comment to make about the bashing they do to Brenden in particular. Why do they call him an Ogre? He, in my opinion, is actually a good looking guy and who I think is the most good looking in the house.

One other comment is about Ragen. I was very much pro-Ragen at the beginning of the season but now I feel mainly sad for him because when he gets out of this house he is going to feel like he 'got got' in a manner of speaking. I would feel completely bad for him if not for his constant bashing and need to throw around the term "bi-polar" as tho he himself is able to diagnose people.

Sorry Genie, end of rant.

I think people are gonna start trying harder in comps despite Enzo suggestions to throw the next. I think we're really gona start to get some game. After Thursday.

Good morning everyone,
I thought I'd jump in for an update this morning to see if there were any changes. Unfortunately there weren't. Now, I feel compelled to voice my opinions even though I did not watch the fields yesterday.

1. You can say that Matt is playing a good game in much the same way Russell played a good game on survivor. I cannot be a fan of either for similar reasons. The lies both told at the beginning of the game (Katrina/wife's illness). Must a person spill their entire life story, no; should they tell such horrible lies to win, no. I have no respect for such game play.
Futhermore, they both suffer from the same illness: a self-satisfied smugness of their superiority. Believe me, I am very proud of my accomplishments and abilities. I am also very well educated and intelligent, but I do not behave that way.

2. In answer to Kristin's question, I personally lost my respect for Ragan when he joined the mean girl contingency. Have all the houseguest fallen prey? Absolutely. I did however, expect better. Also, if you go back to comments made by Jane and Stephen last night they give very valid reasons for their disappointment in Ragan.

I will now climb back down off my high horse and do my laundry.

Genie- I'm sorry for the novella. Please forgive me.

Hi Genie and all,

I remember hearing an inspirational speaker once say that people are like oranges. You never know what they’re made of until they’re squeezed. And when they are squeezed, with some people you get orange juice (basically their insides match their outsides in terms of behaviour). But with other people, when they’re squeezed, you get toxic chemicals.

I feel like this really applies to BB.

The thing is -- to me -- no matter how stressful it gets in that house; it’s a game. They’re not at war, it’s not life and death. Assassinating someone’s character is not related in anyway to game play.

I get that they don’t have the distractions of tv, books, etc, and that it's a pressure cooker type environment, but descending into a cruel mob mentality seems like an extreme choice.

This is my first year with the feeds and I’m not sure I would get them again, because I simply have no stomach for all of the bashing.

I understand that choosing not to participate in the bashing might put a target on one’s back -- but there is such a thing as basic human decency and compassion. There are numerous examples all over the world of people under even more stressful circumstances than these house guests (real life and death) who they do not fall into this kind of behaviour.

It makes me a little sad.

The fact that it’s a game -- to me -- is not a good enough excuse.

Still ... I am trying not to judge and to give them all the benefit of the doubt. I see hints of all this talk being uncomfortable for some such as Hayden, which gives me a little hope. Maybe when Rachel and Brendon are finally out, the focus will return once more to game play.

I am thinking it will come as a shock to the remaining guests that once R & B are gone, they are going to actually have to vote one another out!

Alright, descending from soap box.

Good morning all!

I am disappointed in Ragan as well. I posted last night that they ALL talk about everyone else, but I expected for Ragan to be the voice of reason that would point that out to the house. For example, Enzo comes back to the group after talking to Brendon, and repeats something negative Brendan said about Matt. (while Enzo was baiting him and joining in) They all gasp in amazement at how horrible Brendon is, then go on to bash him-as a group-for an hour, sitting on their moral highhorse and judging Brendon, calling him a horrible person.

Ragan used to be that voice of reason that saw both sides of any issue...and there ARE two sides to every issue. Now he is joining in on the mob mentality, IMO.

I agree with some of the other bloggers that Matt is indeed playing the best game, and is setting himself up for the win by being the one to break up Brenchel. We all know in the end, the jury chooses the best player and not their best friend. (well usually)

Did you ever notice in almost every season of BB, the alliance most hated believes themselves to be the most loved by us viewers, and the most loved never even mention whether or not the viewers like them?

Given Rachel's emotional breakdown regarding Kathy and Ragan's perceived betrayal (& even when Brendan said his family might not approve of her) I wonder if she has struggled throughout her life with others accepting her.

She did say at one point that she worked hard to establish her personality and who she was.

I'm thinking this is something that is a bit of an Achilles heel for her.

Hello Genie,

I have said this before, never seen Dish so divide on the HG.

As of right now I am team Britney. That is subject to change. It also has nothing to do with me liking her. At this point I feel like she has played the best since Mobet left.

But the sad reality is not a single one of these HG has captured my heart like J&J, Dan, Kesha, Chelsia, Danielle, Janelle, Howie or any of the other BB faces we all love so much. That is sad. Hopefully that will come back next season.

I don't have any sympathy for Rachel this week. People won't make deals with her-she wouldn't make deals with Kristin. She's on the block against the person she cares about, so was Kristin.

Yes, people are talking about her behind her back but she has done the same thing. Maybe it sucks more because she is on the block, but Rachel was one of the mean girls talking crap about Kristin when she was on the block.

The only difference between this week and last week is that the other people were still willing to be decent to Kristin when she was on the block. If they aren't willing to be nice to Rachel, I don't think it's because all of them have changed. I think Rachel needs to look within and figure out what it is about her that makes people find her so unlikeable.

Hello my pretties.......

I was just going through all the comments and I am really sad to see the alot of people, myself included are jumping off the Ragan bandwagon.

I thought he was genuine in the beginning and now is a self proclaimed "mean girl". I know that people can change in the house, and there must be alot of stress associated with this game.

Now, with that being said, Ragan is not a target, not on slop, not gonna be backdoored, and is in the middle of a majority and liked by most. If he can change like this under the BEST of BB circumstances, well, I have to say, I dont care for him much at all anymore. This to me is a real depiction of Ragan, and I hate that I got got.

Stephen Ritchie, I agree with everything you have said...well for 2 days now. The Brigade has IMO had some great luck and thinks it has all been them, but I also see a small crack. Some of the Brigade are noticing that Enzo may be well liked by America and I feel that there will be alot of scrambling long before final 4.

Lisa M: I don't think we have completely seen what type of floater Regan is - same with Lane and Enzo. If they can pull out wins towards the end when they need them, then I can respect that.

The type of floaters that bother me are the ones that float all the way to the end by simply jumping on the bandwagon that the majority is on, not sticking their neck out, and not winning competitions when they need to. I can understand throwing a competition if it fits into your game play, but I am not sure if Enzo, Lane, Regan, or Kathy will ever win anything. I guess they might win as the numbers dwindle, because their odds go up.

I actually didn't dislike Rachel at first. I knew she was probably going to annoy me. Just not my cup of tea. But I didn't dislike her on a personal level or anything. And I did think she would be really good at this game. I think her behavior has been worse than some, probably not as bad as others. It's her double standard of shooting the arrows at others but then acting like it's incomprehensible that the arrows should ever be shot back at her.

P.S. I have no idea why I chose arrows. I think cuz I'm just so sick of the damn bus.

"I get that they don’t have the distractions of tv, books, etc, and that it's a pressure cooker type environment, but descending into a cruel mob mentality seems like an extreme choice."

Very well put.

I am somebody who have watched the feeds since Season 1 and who has never missed one show. A true addict. ;-)

This season is like a couple of other seasons, more or less Season 6... when the majority and mob mentality gunned for Janelle early on. I never like bullying and this is a form of it. Some people I expected more of... Ragan who has probably been through it in real life... but the mean mob mentality from the start against Andrew, Brendan and Rachel has been ugly. They were hated because they fell in love and were open about it and targeted from the beginning. They knew that if they did not win... they would be out.

What is more disheartening are comments from people that excuse their favorites and yadeyadeyada.

Hey everyone...I've been reading and catching up...looks like there may be a little drama today, Rachel seems to be fueling the fire under Brendon's butt!

Next season (if there is a next season...) they shouldn't look for people with big personalities. They should look for people who've had a history of competing - like maybe people that played sports in high school and college, and won tons of things. To me, that would be awesome to see...a bunch of athletes who are very competitive in nature going for the 500K. There won't be any 53 minute endurance comps then! I can imagine them lasting well into the night for hours!

I'd also like to see more of a mix in cultures. Yes, they've usually had one or two houseguests being the odd one out, but the majority of competitors have been caucasian. I'd definitely like to see more Hispanics as well (I may be biased, though...my boyfriend is Hispanic, lol). But I think that would be really interesting as well.

(Even thou I wished Rachel wasnt going*crosses fingers*)
Brendon Im hoping will see more clearly if Rachel gets voted out. Guess Im still hoping there is a real man hiding inside that masculine yet whimpy shell.

Even thou I hated Kathy doing that mock shooting with her fingers at Rachel. I think that was just wrong, especially coming from an Officer.

I do feel that someone in the Brogade has to know that to win Brogade jury votes, they need to be sitting next to someone who wasnt "in" the Brogade with them. IMO.

Sorry for the lengtrh... I cant wait for others to feel the uncontrollible emotions one has when on the block. I doubt any of them will do any better than the last 4, It is not going to be as "fun" as they think.
