I've been quiet since week 1, and I've been following along as a silent support for BBDish. Today while hiking I was thinking about the comment section letters. Many of them are kind and supportive of you and the cast, and some of them have been troubling my thoughts.
I don't wish to attack anyone, I feel everyone's opinions are valid and relevant.
I'm disturbed by the titles some of the beloved writers are labeling the houseguests; some mildly harmfull and some pretty darn harmfull.
When I express "harmfull" I am insinuating with regards to what happens to these guests when they leave the BB house. The power of mean spirit on the internet has taken lives, persueded people to commit suiside, torn apart families and friendships, and has become a gateway for bad behaviors and crime in the physical world.
I've witnessed some letters with comments in them labeling house guests with types of disorders. These are horrid labels for these guests receive upon their arrival home.
I am the daughter of a psychologist and I can assure you that my mother and all of her "like-profession" circle of friends would never diagnose anyone without a thorough examination. And furthermore, they would never print it for the public to see!
I noticed someone wrote that there are no cures for disorders. Doctors in the field understand that finding a cure is not in the scope of their work. Treatments are their forte, cures are for the scientists; as Brendan is hoping to be. All disorders can receive treatment.
Also, I have seen the cut of Shelly, Brendan, and Rachel on the patio sofas where the seed of the so-called lie took place. Shelly asked Rachel and Brendan if they would "consider" a final three. Rach and Bren said "yes"
When Rachel interpreted the convo to the other houseguests, perhaps she forgot to mention Shelly's request was to "consider". I feel Shelly believes she didn't say it was a "deal" and therefore in her heart she knows she wasn't deceiving anyone.
I wrote this letter with hopes that statements like "mean girls" and "liars" and "narcissist" would become fewer, and these amazing people who chose to play a competition in front of the world as they're locked up, malnurished, and depleted of proper sleep may return home to a safe and loving society.

I am sorry, its a huge mistake not to put up Dani and think she won't use the veto to bring down Kalia.
Dani does not want to play with Porsche alone.
Dani plays in the POV no matter what, it just doesn't make sense to me. Even if u put up Kalia and Dani and porshe wins, she takes off one, the other still goes home. With Dani not in it and she wins, u know just Porsche will go home.
I'm on disability so I am a stay at home mom. I love the freedom to express myself on this site and obviously I spend a lot of time doing it. I also have a lot of time to watch the feeds. Some seasons are pretty boring and the update is pretty much all I need. This season, if you miss a day you're completely lost. I have probably spent almost as much time on the feeds this year as Caro and Genie.
I try to watch the whole picture unfold. The chain of events. The actions that cause the reactions. I am passionate and opinionated. But I always try to explain the reasoning behind why I feel the way I feel. I know not everyone will agree with me all the time. Lately I have felt like I've been rubbing a couple people the wrong way so I have tried to be extra careful. I don't think it's working, but at least I have put forth some genuine effort.
I get Jeff. I am quick tempered and have a very sarcastic self-deprecating sense of humor. I was surrounded by a father, 3 uncles and 2 grandfathers who were much the same way. I knew them as real people, in real life, outside of a reality show and know they were all incredible human beings. They were generous, funny and kind. I think outside of BB Jeff is probably a very nice easy to get along with person.
I think most of the people in the house are much different than they are in the house with the exception of Brendon. With him, I think what you see is what you get.
I have been really hard on Rachel because that behavior is just hard to grasp for me. Some of it I do believe is unintentional and uncontrollable. Some of it is rehearsed and calculated to get a reaction from people. I do believe she has self esteem issues. Sometimes they make her seem sympathetic and kind of sad. Sometimes they make her seem petty and catty.
I know there are people who are tired of hearing about Rachel's faults because they don't think that she is a bad person. I get that. What I guess leaves me confused is why some people don't understand why a lot of us don't think Jeff is a bad person.
I'm hoping dani and kalia get nominated so they can't use the veto on each other.The either get rid of porsche or dani.

Diversity is a beautiful thing, if we all looked the same and agreed on everything, well it would just be a boring world. I love a good debate, when the person I am debating with can keep it at just that and not take things personally or out of context.
I appreciate everyones comments here, weather I agree with them or not.
Hello Carolyn and fellow dishers! I posted on the last blog but alas, Carolyn started a new one with the nomination spoilers...not complaining.. Dani trusts only Dani. She will fight for the veto regardless if she is put up or not.
Just have to say: calling someone a name for no reason, such as a sexual or racist slur is uncalled for. Calling a narcissistic person narcissistic is not name calling, it's descriptive and calling it like it is. If it's hurtful to the houseguests when they come out, that's the price they pay for behaving in such a manner.
Hi Carolyn and Genie! I tried earlier to post from my phone but I'm a "technotronic" dummy and I really wanted to tell you this story. Anyway, here it is again if you didn't read it.
After a horrible week at work I got through my day by knowing I would have BB to watch and the dish to view with, I fixed a tray of supper and set up my computer in bed in front of me and the tv in front of that. I even posted for the 1st time and Carolyn answered! Joy Joy! At 8:10 a South Louisiana thunderstorm started and my power went out! No worries I thought, I'll watch on the computer...Nope, the internet is through my cable.
It's 100 degrees outside and quickly becoming unbearable inside so I took my phone to my car with a pillow and cranked the ac and kept up with the whole competition through your wonderful sight!!! thank you soooo much!

I believe Shelly is pretending to be allied with Dani and her side just so she can bring info to the J+J team.
If it wasn't for Shelly, Rachel would've been evicted 2 weeks ago!

I'm completely guilty of being frustrated with the house-guests and not always being nice. I think there are varying lines drawn for what people feel is appropriate, although Carolyn and Genie are great about moderating comments, as believe me this place is like heaven compared to others, I still think it is all relative to what someones views are when it comes to crossing the line.
I do share your sentiment that the comments about people having mental disorders is inappropriate for various reasons, but others may not like the fact that I called Dani Arrogant, or really want her out of the house because I feel she has been really cruel at times, along with Kalia. I try to tone down what I'm saying on here, but I think others get emotional about this game and they feel this is a place where they can express themselves, but I do agree that we should all be cognizant of the fact that the house-guests could at some point see these comments and that it could affect them negatively.
On the other hand, not that this is an excuse, but I also would like to think that any BB fan knows that when they go on the show they are putting themselves out there on a reality TV show, and that they could be perceived in a negative light.

I have followed BBDish for years, and I don't think I've ever posted. Today, though, I felt compelled to respond to Pally.
Pally, as a reformed psychologist, I think it's important to remember that people use descriptive terms that occur in psychology, but it does not mean they are making an official diagnosis. You can call someone narcissistic without meaning they have Narcissistic Personsonality Disorder because it's an adjective which is descriptive of their personality. The same goes for saying someone is anxious or depressed; they are descriptions and do not imply that they have Major Depression or Generalized Anxiety Disorder. It is easy, however, when you are exposed to the field of psychology to forget this fact. I am sure that no one on this site is trying to officially diagnose the houseguests.

Well, I'm hopeful nominations stay the same and Dani doesn't go up. My ideal way for it to go if nominations stay the same is for Kalia to go. I guess we'll just have to see. I'm hoping Daniele wins POV at least. :)
I have to say, I like to see everybody's point of view on each of the houseguests, no matter what it may be.
As far as people thinking Jeff's a bad guy outside the house...I just feel like he can't be. I mean, Jordan is probably the nicest person on the planet and she's dating him, I just can't see her staying with a man that is so "mean" and what not. If that makes sense. That's just how I look at that situation.
Good game move? Bad game move? I guess it will depend on if Dani throws the veto...I am rooting for her as well as Jeff, though, so I guess I'm happy as long as Dani doesn't go home.
I do not understand why it has to be luck only that Porsche has come in second on comps according to Rachel, could it not possibly be that Porsche is actually good? She's apparently better that Rachel at them...just my opinion as usual.
I have been a fan of BBdish for a very long time. When I first found this site, I was a ghost follower. Always afraid to say anything. But I loved to read everyones comments about the BB house. Finally, one night I decided to post my commment and let's just say, Carolyn scolded me for my comment. Yes, it was fair... and I should have read the rules before I posted. :) I never made that mistake again. I have looked at other BB sites, and believe me, this is the best site there is. Caro has the rules and we should follow them or our comments will not be posted. I agree and disagree with some of the comments and I know others feel the same about it. Carolyn is the best and so is Genie and I trust their judgments on what can or can not be posted. BBDish I gotta have it!
Dear Goddess of the Dish ... from the comments that I see printed, I can only imagine what you have to sift through ... and discard ...
I work a full time job so I barely have the time to keep up with the Dish, from the bottom of my heart ... I thank you for your hard work! I will tip when I can, I just had to put down a deposit for my move ... and will have to come up with rent for a whole month in a couple of weeks ... oh I digress ...
I love the dish where I can come and root for whomever I choose!! Even a HG that some will call names, etc ... Sure, sometimes I feel like I shouldn't post what I do, but you have created the blog site for us to use for BB ...
I too can get caught up in what people are saying, but I do my best to not dive as deep as others ...
I made myself a promise this season to not get into the catty part ... last season I said really mean things about one of the HG's, not on the dish ... somewhere else. What did it get me, locked out of the event!
Here is to the dish, Carolyn and Genie, our fearless leaders who have given us a safe place to share in our 'addiction' ... BB!!
Oh Big Brother!
I don't think anyone in the house is a bad person. i just get tired of some people holding some to a higher standard than others. Jeff seems to get a pass cause he's "just jeff".
People seem to defend him more than others. "oh that's just jeff. He has all brothers. He's used to talking to people that way."
I heard him yell at Jordan and then go out and tell Adam "she's so dumb" Among many other things. Jordan makes excuses for him, and so do many fans. I myself see no excuse for it.
I just don't think Jeff is any better than anyone else there. And people seem to not see, not post and totally ignore the things he does. Yet on the same token, they are quick to call out any other HG who does it.
Nobody cares who you root for, but at least be fair about it.
My favorite is Dani, I root for her cause she plays the game, period. I like to see people fight in this game and show they really want to win. I can do that without putting down any other HG.

I just want to say I love this blog! I look forward to it everyday you all do a great job.
I think the people in the the house do what they need to do to survive, whether it's lying (which they all do) or put on a show like Rachel.
I would love to see Dani & Jeff battle it out in the end. Just my 2 cents :)
I just wanted to post really quickly to say that I think the interesting thing about this game we all love, BB, is how the emotions and feelings of both viewers and players alike can change from day to day, depending on what is going on in the house.
I often find myself really loathing one player only to be rooting for them a week later, sometimes even the next day.
For me, BB is a really interesting look at what happens when you take a bunch of very different people, put them into a box and surround them with cameras 24/7. completely isolating them from the world, and expect them to behave normally. With no outside stimulation, it's amazing more players don't go completely off the deep end.
I suppose I must be OCD, because I just cannot stop watching.....
