Is it Live or is it Chima/CBS-Uber/FCC Inspired Memorex?
A friend of ours who will be in attendance, just got this email regarding tomorrow's Live Show Taping:
- Additional tickets have just been released for tomorrow morning’s taping of Big Brother! The arrival time is earlier than usual tomorrow; please arrive no later than 11:30 AM.

Questions arise:
- Will the live show truly be live, or have Chima's threats made an impact with the producers and the network higher ups, who aren't keen on a repeat of her last performance, or worse, due to possible major FCC fines?
- Or do they want the opportunity to have more time editing than a live show permits, since it will be such a dramatic show?
- Or are they just calling the audience in earlier than usual, because they expect a huge crowd this week, and they will still be live?
What are your thoughts on this situation?
This announcement takes precedence over the chatter that's happening on the feeds at the moment between Michele, Chima, Jordan, Lydia and Jeff...
They're all wondering about the lockdown that's happening right now, and if there's going to be an endurance comp tomorrow... Most agree it's not very likely...

My bet is it will not be live...me thinks they are not trusting Chima to keep it under control!! Too bad someone can't sneak a camera in there for us!!!
I believe that they do not know what Chima will do or say and they want to make sure to have enough tme to edit the show without causing problems.
I guess you can say the producers are beating Chima at her own game, and SHE LOST!!
My thought is if she has a hissy fit like a spoiled child, they should just evict her on the spot..Problem solved.,
No it won't be live. There is a delay on all live shows. To keep any thing that could cause them to be fined.
What time do they usually need to arrive? That seems awfully early!

I've wondered if the show tomorrow would be totally live because of Chima's threats. If they are going to record it earlier I would understand because they have to worry about the legal ramification of the houseguests actions but on a personal note I think it would suck because chances are we are going to miss a lot of the fireworks - both during the show and after cause I'm betting the feeds will be cut a lot if Chima really goes on a rampage.
I agree with RedRhonda! I wish they COULD sneak in a camera for us! :) Does anyone else think this lockdown is for HOH build already or is it too early?
I think it will be recorded. I think Chima has said it loud and clear that she is going to go bazerk. I hope they show all the aftermath online. I will be tuning in early for all the coverage.. I do think it's gonna be eventful..
My bet is taped due to Chima. She's been VERY vocal about what she'll do if she's usurped.

Seems to me that if they're giving away additional tix, then they want/expect a much bigger crowd. But if it remains live, then wow those folks will be there all day!

yeah, I agree, I think it means that it won't be live. It is going to be very explosive. I think we all know that Jeff is going to use the power. He has the numbers to stay safe in the house. I don't think they trust chima, let alone Natalie and Jessie, because I'm pretty sure, they are the targets!

We will know tomorrow morning or early afternoon if it's not live because there will way more fish than normal. Those FCC fines are no joke. If they are worried about that it will be taped. I could see them doing it for sure. Seeing this is BB and the way the show is already edited, yeah I can see it happening.
If Chima was them too scared to air live...she needs to be put in isolation until the show is over. I can't believe one single person could turn CBS upside down. Maybe she should be expelled from the show for her violent threats!!!

I think you are going to see alot of BRB and fishes tomorrow cause it won't be live. Don't think CBS can take that chance since Chima has been pretty much braggin' @ it all week.. LOL it's a shame..
Question Carolyn.....just how out of control will they allow Chima or another HG to get? Even if it is taped? I mean really, it is just a game and there is a standard of play isn't there?
As I said in comments to the last post, the notice clearly says "tomorrow morning's taping." Even if the audience arrives at 11:30, they won't start taping in the morning. I think they slipped and revealed too much.
Maybe the lockdown had to start early because the HOH comp will have to begin earlier than usual.
That would mean that our feeds will be all screwed up. If they do everything early to tape it, we will still be blacked out until after the show airs, which means we will miss much of the coup d'etat aftermath.

I agree, due to the threats that she will throw a hissy fit and proving she really can the show likely will be taped. What about the feeds though, will those still be there and available or will they block those too? Personally I think she has quite the attitude, her saying that the POV should have to respect the HOH wishes, has she ever watched this game before? I think she would have thrown a fit had Kevin used the POV. I can only imagine what she will do when Jeff uses his Wizard Power. And as Sheri said, she should be evicted on the spot if she does because that is the game that she signed up for, if she didnt like the rules then she shouldnt have gone into the house!

I guess the show will not be live. Chima has every reason to be upset. She is going to be screwed this week! I hope Jeff gets what he deserves! Plus he already has the $25,000 jury prize in the bag.
Just curious... does anyone know what time they are normally to arrive for the live show? How early is it for them to be there by 11:30? I believe the show starts at 5 PST or BB time for TV so 11:30 seems really early??
I believe if Jeff uses his power, which I think we all believe he is going to use it, it will be the best episode in BB history!! I absolutely can not wait till tomorrow night!!
I think there's always a few seconds of delay. What is interesting is that we have this new announcement, and the HGs just went on lockdown. Perhaps BB is setting up now for the competition, because it's going to be earlier in the day? I hope that feeds resume right after and that they don't make us wait until 9:00 Eastern to see things go down!

Dang! It just hit me today that I made dinner plans with a friend for tomorrow night. WHAT was I thinking? It's too much trouble to try to switch since my husband had to arrange his work schedule so he could come home and keep our son so I can go out.
I'm so mad at myself! I don't think the show will be live. Is it bad that I'd rather stay home and watch TV than go out and have dinner with a friend? haha
I can't wait to see what goes down. I hope they don't edit too much of the drama out. I bet the audience, be it a live show or not, will be able to hear Chima explode since they sit right outside that door.

You would normally have to be there at 3:30p. That seems like an awfully long time to have an audience just sit there waiting on the live show to commence.
I think they are worried about the FCC fines. And I'm sure the DR/BB has warned her, yet she still continues to say that she'll blow it up Thursday.
If I were AGP though, Chima would have serious repercussions for me having to change my production. Like either a penalty nom or serious stipend deduction. How much money are they having to spend it order to push up a live taping? Seems like that would be a lot given the current economic climate and worker's unions.

If that is the case and it is not live then CBS is a bunch of cowards. Tell her ass in the DR look you signed up for this and if you do one more thing to screw with this show and production we will gladly be escorting you out of the house with the person that has been evicted and oh yea you will also be hearing from the CBS lawyers. No instead they will screw with the whole show to cater to one person.

Carolyn: I have a friend that works over at CBS. He does not do anything with Big Brother but I will give him a call on my way to volleyball and see if he knows anything. It can't hurt to ask. I will let you know if anything materializes.
Unfortunately I think it's going to be taped so that they can cover their bums when Chima flips out. I really hope she flips her lid and just gets evicted on the spot. This is going to be a great one folks!!

OMG CAROLYN! That makes me wonder, will the endurance comp start earlier than 6pm BBT? Will the first part of it even be on the feeds? I don't know about you but I will plan on steaking out at about 1 or 2pm BBT... if I catch anything and you are out I will be sure and notify in every manner possible!!!!

Is the live show ever truely live? I would imagine they always use the infamous 7 second delay on Thursday nights. Most nights after the eviction and before HoH the sound cuts out 2-3 times, I had always assumed that someone let a bomb slip because they thought the live feed was over. This could still work but if there is an extended foul-mouth rant(over 45 second of bleeping) it might get boring.
If they want to control the show on Thursday night they might need to sneak a sniper with a tranq gun up onto the HoH landing. They all signed releases, right?
I doubt they are on HOH lockdown already because they don't seem to know what's going on. In the past it seems like they warn them when there will be an extended lockdown so they can get any laundry and the smokers can get a last cigarette etc.
I have a bad feeling tomorrow is going to remind me of the old double eviction weeks where we got whole days of nothing but fish--ugg I hated that.

My guess would be that they aren't doing a live broadcast because of Chima's childish threats.

Remember on BB9 when they had the disco ball endurance when James so geniusely back door'd Matty? That was 1st in the jury house week. So do you think it could possibly be endurance this week to spice it up even more that the CDT?
I don't think they should alter the live show because Chima is being being immature. They should tell her point blank.... do it and you're off the show and no stipend. She isn't running stuff there and she needs to be taught a lesson. in my opinion anyways. :0)
Holy Wow Batman! I want our live show! But I understand CBS's stand on what they'll allow on live tv. It sucks that Chima has to ruin it for all of us at home watching!

I've been thinking all week the show wouldn't be live. I don't think CBS will take the risk. I really don't like that because we will definitely miss out on the aftermath. I don't want to miss their immediate reactions and all the drama as soon as the episode raps. I would have preferred that they tell her, if she acts up she will be swiftly removed from the game.

They can threaten Chima all they want but she's a wildcard. She could still go off. Considering all the times she's been heard threatening, they have to take precautions. They do not want to end up in major legal problems because of her.

After reading the comments and thinking about this, why doesn't CBS just keep her in the HOH room after her one on one talk with Julie? That way, if she freaks, she is locked in, staff can come through the moving walls up there and escort her happy, lunatic rear out?

No, they don't let the audience watch. I was there last year when they had the earthquake comp.

1. Seems plainly obvious that the show will not be live, but hopefully they will still make the feeds available. Or at least go back and put the feeds they black out before the show on the flashback feature so we can all go back and see what actually happened!
2. I'm going to have to side with Chima on this one. The Coup d'Etat is the most unfair power ever to be in the house. It forces Chima to make two enemies (the people she nominates) and then end up not having even one of them go home! Chima IS getting screwed, and at minimum they should give her automatic immunity next week so that the situation is as fair as possible!
P.S. Just to be clear, this does not mean I like Chima in any way, and I would make this same argument if anyone else was the HOH.

CDE is not a new power so if she is a proper BB scholar, she knew it was a possibility.
She obviously has it twisted because she thinks the POV winner should respect her wishes. She thinks that no one should ever be taken off the block unless it is she.

The more I think about it. I think that Chima will be on the couch. And before the live show CBS will reminder of the rules. Than Jeff will nominate both Jeff/Natalie. Chima will explode and Chima and Jesse or Natalie wille evicted.
My thoughts are if they expect trouble from chima, Get her up in the HoH room for the regular "last" HoH interview and then just lock her in. After removing all breakible things. Then they can still keeps things on schedule. They can control what the viewers see, keep things "LIVE" and the CDT (if played) and eviction ceremony can go as planned. If a tie, CDT winner breaks it.

I live in Sacramento and just found out that I got tix to the show tomorrow. Do you think the audience will get to see what really happens in the house (I love a good hissy fit), and will it be worth an 8 hour drive down to LA for me to attend? My concern is that the tix says it is not guaranteed that I'll get in. Let me know what you guys think I should do!
Is there any precedent for HG's that go overboard in the house? I only started watching towards end of BB10, so not sure if anyones ever been disciplined/kicked out for making too big of a scene or being too violent, etc.
I am very much in hopes that Chima gets the boot for being out of control after Jesse gets evicted! It's a 2-fer!
Hi all.. This is what I think. I think, after watching all of the BB shows that the producers know exactly what is going to happen. They want the ratings. I think they know from looking at the message boards that Jeff and Jordan are the most popular and to keep people watching they will try and do anything to keep them in the house..As far as Chima goes they could be worried about her but look what is going on... it is bringing up the ratings of the shows and here we are commenting on it.. Maybe this is a ploy to get us to sign up for live feeds.. who knows but I do believe they know what Jeff will do already and they are excited about it.. I have to say out of all of them I would like to see Natalie go.. That would leave just Chima and Jessie to squirm and I would like to see Jeff or Jordan win this week. A double conviction week?? that would be great, but I do not think they will do that unless someone in Jeff's alliance wins HOH.. Of course this is just my opinion, but once again here we are talking about it, cant wait to see it and that is what CBS wants..

Yes, the removal of HG's have happened before. Three times for physical contact and once for threats.
BB's motto is to expect the unexpected..... I think CBS is going to do the biggest trick/prank on us.You can't tell me they don't know what we write are what the other sites write about the show.
The show is going to be taped and the live audience has to be there early right.So here's what I think is going to happen....NOTHING.

I bet it's not live or it will have a 5 minute delay. I don't think I've been this excited about a big brother episode since season 8 with Daniele, Dick & Zach in the final HOH comp. My son has football practice until 7:30 tomorrow night. I'm gonna rush right off the field as fast as I can to get home by 8:00.
I can't wait for tomorrow night! I was wondering what it says in the contract they have to sign? Does it say something like "We run the show and if you don't like what happens too bad?" If Chima acts so badly that they throw her out, will that affect whoever Jeff puts up i.e. Jessie or Natalie (fingers crossed). There may not be an eviciton if that happens

i think that if Jeff doesn't use the cdt after bb had to rearrange eveything then i would be upset and maybe everyone else who voted for Jeff should be too and in the future we dont vote for Jeff for anything.
