Power of Veto Spoiler and Aftermath
The live feeds went to Trivia at 11:42am, signaling the start of the PoV Comp. Ginamarie is hosting. Here are the players:
Aaryn - HoH
Elissa - Nominee
Helen - Nominee
Jeremy - MVP's Nominee
Amanda - Chosen to play
Nick - Chosen to play
1:05pm
Elissa: That stinks.
Helen: He's like the Frank of this season..
Elissa: It's kinda good that Amanda didn't win though.. He probably wont take himself off the block though..
CONFIRMED: Jeremy has won the PoV
Jeremy: Every comp so far.
Kaitlin: You are an animal. A serious Animal!
Jeremy: I'm glad you realize it. If Elissa doesn't go home, I'm going after everyone else.
Amanda and Andy are up in HoH making nice and gathering intel... Ginamarie and Nick are present to kiss the ring as well. It's a jovial atmosphere..
Andy: It wasn't even close. She (Elissa) was doing the worst of everyone. Because she was watching everyone else.
Downstairs in the Have Not Room... Helen is doing calisthenics to burn off nervous post comp energy.. Spencer comes in to touch base, make nice and offer to cook up slop for whoever wants it.
Candice: I'm gettin' my slingshot. I'm gettin' my slingshot, gonna slay the dragon.
** :0) made me smile.
Elissa: They just hate me. It motivates them. I'd love to know why. Actually, I don't want to know. I don't care. I'd be offended if people like that liked me.
Candice: It was a game of composure, like not losing it when they fell, and perseverance.
Elissa: So you think Nick definitely had it?
Candice: He was super close.
Elissa: I analyze every situation and think. I'm not like a quick responder.. It's so bad.I should have totally been able to do that. That was heat and balance. I'm so disappointed.
**Wow. Heat and Balance.. For someone who teaches Hot Yoga? Girl, they're trying to help you.
Elissa: Oh well.. at least we win at the game of life, right?
1:27pm
Cam 3 and 4
Elissa denies being MVP.
Candice: Well, if you're not, then who do you think is?
Helen: Andy?
Candice: Someone with a big personality. Definitely someone who gets a lot of DR time. What if he was MVP and he put himself up?
Elissa: Yeah right.. I don't think people would..
Candice: When do y'all think the Ceremony's gonna be?
Elissa: I wish I could dislike someone like that. They're on a mission..
1:32
Helen: Dan Gheesling. Dan Gheesling gets himself out of everything.
Elissa: Did he win competitions?
Helen: No.
1:34pm
Candice: Why is it always boys at the end? Girls win comps..
**Do I see an independent thought bubble forming over your head?
Candice, Helen and Elissa talk about women going after each other instead of supporting eachother and what a shame that is..
**I sneak inside the house and water this little seedling..
1:57pm
Cam 4
Howard, Spencer, Aaryn, Jeremy
Spencer: Candice doesn't have any merits to be here. They had to have, like, a black chick.
Skippy flips us up to the HoH landing immediately after that remark, then back after a minute.
Aaryn: She's told a lot of people that she'd never put them up.
Jeremy: She never said that sh*t to me.
Aaryn: Otherwise she would've put someone weaker up.. If she didn't have deals.
Jeremy: I'm gonna come after whoever doesn't vote her out. I can't take her negative vibe anymore.
Howard: I just hate her fakeness.
Jeremy: And after she talked about my mom..
Aaryn: What'd she say about your mom?
Jeremy: Just that she could never be proud of me. It just didn't sit well with me when she personally attacked my mom.
Spencer: She's f'ing mentally challenged.
Jeremy: SHes so used to riding coattails..
Spencer: She's got all her husbands money.. She feels like she's slumming it to be eating slop.
Howard: I think she's intimidated because she's not the pretties woman in the house.
Jeremy: No joke. I'd f*ck a bag before I'd f*ck her.
Spencer: Andy. kidding.
Talk turns to the photo booth. They believe they'll do photos there tomorrow. Aaryn encourages him to hold up his PoV medallion and flip off America in his picture.
2:05pm Nick joins the cockpit crew.
Nick: Can I sit here?
Aaryn: Yep. I'm actually about to go and lie in my nice comfortable bed.
That makes 4 of 5 members of the Moving Company.
Jeremy: She's gotta go.
Nick: Oh, Trust me.
Jeremy's tooting. He blames the wine from last night.. and then shares his conquest.
Jeremy: Things got feisty last night..
2:09pm - Candice joins the boys in the cockpit. All of them suddenly mention how tired they are and about to go do this, that and the other. Judd joins too.
2:20pm
Spencer and McCrae
Spencer: The 7 has to be broken up somehow. I want Elissa out though.
McCrae: If we get everyone else in the 7..
Spencer: We'll basically say, we can get Jeremy out next week.. Might as well vote Elissa out. Say uh.. Get Amanda to tell everyone to vote Elissa out this week. Don't tell Helen. She doesn't have a vote anyway.
Candice passes thru. They cover by talking about summer movie openings. Then Andy and Judd come to stay/.

Can we say...DISGUSTED!
Ugh! The diff between Jeremy and Frank, though, is that I started to like Frank. He was a likable guy. Jeremy is a huge bully and needs to be knocked down a few pegs. Kaitlin makes me sick. She makes women look bad, always on his every word...He doesn't care, sweetheart, WAKE UP! I came in not wanting to like Elissa, but she is NOT Rachel, she is socially awkward and very sweet. I will be very sad to see her go, but if she does, I will be pulling for Howard and Helen. This cast is hard to get behind, too many narcissistic people.
Is Jeremy arrogant enough not to use it?
Bummer
UGH!!! I feel like I'm going to vomit! It's going to be hard to watch the feeds for the next week. We all know this is the death of Elissa.
booooo hissssss at least she gets to nom someone else... maybe they can get nick or spencer out
How disappointing!
I think it's Elissa's time to go. There is no way the other HGs will vote for whoever replaces Jeremy (if he uses the veto) because they are all now thinking that he has a big chance to win the next HOH.
My only hope is that Jeremy doesn't use the veto because he fears for Kaitlin and then the other HGs will finally realize how dangerous this person is. One can hope, but I don't see it happening.
Heat and balance might have been an attempt to help Elissa, but you still have to be a hungry competitor
Wicked bummed Jeremy won. I hope Elissa gets to stay.
Sorry to say it but I'm not surprised at all. For the same reason I wasn't surprised Aaryn won HOH, no not the alleged cheating. BB just has a weird way of things working one way for awhile then going the other way.
I also don't think the MC will cut Jeremy. They want to have the physical team and they have that right now. Why would they change. It does seem that Elissa's only threat to anyone is to win the MVP each week. So why not get rid of that. They want to use her for the MVP but keeping their alliance strong would be a higher priority. Elissa will be one of those ppl that will play BB a few times until they find the right combination for her. If she leaves this week I doubt that will be the last we see of her in the house.
The good news though is there won't be much reason to watch the HOH room. The 3 will stay in there as much as possible and Aaryn and Jeremy have no vote and we know who Kaitlin is voting to keep so nothing that happens in there matters any more.
Looks like Spencer could be in hot water too!
http://www.uprr.com/newsinfo/2013/spencer_big_brother.shtml
My hope now is that Jeremy is so cocky he won't even use the veto on himself. He hasn't watched the show enough to know what happened last time.
I am surprised that Jeremy is saying he will use the POV on himself. Yes, you always use it on yourself, BB 101. But in this case when his woman will be in the cross hairs I thought he would forgo. His confidence in his alliance isn't quite as strong as I thought. He has the votes with the MC and Kaitlin. Letting Elissa put Kaitlin up affects not only his personal time in the house but she is a lock vote for whatever he wants to do.
Union Pacific statement regarding Spencer Clawson's comments on the Big Brother reality television show
The values represented by Spencer Clawson's comments during the Big Brother show do not at all align with Union Pacific's values. Mr. Clawson is on unpaid leave of absence while participating on Big Brother. Union Pacific does not condone his comments.
Union Pacific is acting in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement terms regarding Mr. Clawson.
Jane - Nice find. Can we interpret that statement to mean Spencer's a union man and protected by freedom of speech?
**and has a real job - unlike the girls who have opportunistic tiny agencies clamoring to "release" them and get themselves noticed.
ShiShi - I'm still hopeful... Truly.. But i'm also legitimately surprised when I don't win the lottery.
What does Jeremy mean "every comp?" This is the only one he has won by himself...
BerdacheBear
I wasn't offended. I hope you didn't think I was being defensive. I have seen several comments that it may not have been an authentic letter from Aaryn's family. I just didn't want to add to the rumor by saying it was from her father. I had assumed it was because that was what the person who posted it said, but I should have known better than to automatically believe it.
Why wouldn't they vote Caitlin out if she goes up?? Jeremy can threaten people all he wants to but he can't control who the MVP nominates?! Makes NO sense for them to vote out Elissa knowing she's an MVP lock and none of them will go home no matter who wins HOH.

He has said he's in a union. He can only be fired for cause and he's on unpaid leave right now. There is probably nothing they can do, at least right now. Also it's not a job in the public eye so they probably wouldn't do anything anyway. If all the bigots in the country got fired, half the country would be fired, at least.
Thanks, Jane :)
Wait a second...Elissa doesn't need the money because she has a rich husband. But Helen can go home because she has kids and a sick father. Wouldn't having kids and a sick father be a good reason that someone would need the money? So who does need and deserve the money? I guess it must be Spencer since he took an unpaid leave to do the show.
jane
Spencer also talked about his use of illegal drugs. Would having that on video be cause to fire him or would they have to actually catch him with drugs in his possession or in his system?
Hi,
.... "Aaryn encourages him to hold up his PoV medallion and flip off America in his picture."
.....now there's our all american girl.....
It came to me early this morning before BB Wake-up.
Elissa's (Rachael's) fans are really not doing her a favor by voting her MPV every week. I think the houseguests know it's a popularity vote and being such that puts an even bigger target on her than she would already have.
She already has that target due to association. MVP puts a homing device on the bulls eye.
Can she survive eviction two weeks in a row? I guess we will know on Thursday.
If anyone has already pointed this out, sorry. I haven't read all the comments I've missed the last couple of days.
:o)
GaYToR
If Elissa leaves I have my fingers crossed that pandora's box will open and she will come back. Game on b**ches, a la Rachel. Funny I was not a Rachel fan but...
Grenden, no. He could talk about having murdered someone. Unless he's convicted of a crime or caught in the act there is nothing that could be done. They might have drug testing at the railroad, but he would have to actually have a bad piss test. There really is freedom of speech in America.
The reason those women could be fired was not because of what they said specifically, it's because in an employment at will situation you can be fired for any or no reason. A collective bargaining agreement will have termination for cause, which is articulated in the contract. Many large companies without collective bargaining agreements will have termination for cause, but the cause will be a lot looser. Most companies would probably have some kind of zero tolerance policy when it comes to protected classes (race is one, sexual orientation is not in most states, and general misogyny is perfectly legal as long as it's not sexual harassment in the workplace).
So, tried to comment ... here is attempt #3:
I kept trying to hit the like button whilst reading your transcribing! Lol!
My fav part is Jeremy getting offended by Elissa going personal saying that his mom won't be proud (J - she won't!) meanwhile he had spoken abt her husband, called her deragotory names and wiped his butt with her hat. Ye ur right J, she's the monster cause she's the one who went personal. Ur an angel and a winner of ALL BB comps (1 and a half of them so far...)
I have to say, I never disliked anyone in BB history as much as Jeremy including BB9 cast... I knew someone like that in real life and I still have nightmares 20 yrs later... Bullies shld never be tolerated.
Hi Caro! Just got the feeds thru BBDish and I can't follow all of the craziness so tnx for making sense of it all for us :)
Just anticipating the next question, the HGs are not employees of CBS or the producers. I don't know what their contract calls them, but they are essentially interns, not even independent contractors. They get a stipend, not a salary or payment for services. That basically means CBS can do anything they want within the law, regardless of what their employee handbook might say -- so they could throw them out or keep them in for any reason, even if an employee might get fired for the same thing.
I'd rather them bring Rachel back than Elissa
Grendon: No problem. I hadn't thought you were being defensive -- but I was, about you, because you mentioned the father, but you weren't the one who gave the *working* link to the letter, so I was doubtful it was the letter you had referred to. But, as I said, the whole comment was just a way to make a snarky little comment about Jeremy's huge ego and his extremely high intelligence (according to him).
Ughh.. this really sucks. Jeremy is such a bully threatening anyone who won't vote his way. Hopefully that'll just make them go against him. They should split up the Jeremy/Kaitlin showmance, isn't that why David was evicted, because of his showmance? Let's hope Elissa survives another week!
@REGY: Plus, Jeremy is upset Elissa was "attacking my mom," when in actuality Elissa was merely expressing an empathy FOR his mother and her probable disappointment in her son's actions. His arrogance/ego is so large, he can't even see people's comments for what they are.
Okay, I want to keep rooting for you Howard, but you are making it hard. I get that sometimes you have to keep your mouth shut and play the game, but at some point he is going to have to check these people. How does he sit there while Spencer says Candice has no "merits" to be there? That they just had to have a black chick? So does Spencer fill the out of shape, redneck quota? Ughh. They are getting bolder and bolder with their comments in front of him.
Aaryn and Ginamarie might also have been subject to "morals" clauses, which are common in entertainment related contracts of employment and/or representation. Making racial slurs on national television would most certainly amount to a violation of those clauses.
Aaryn is joking about Nick being gay (shockingly not in an offensive way). I was going to post the same idea a few minutes ago. Nick was talking about dating in NYC and referred to rich men not women. It sounded like a slip. This is neither here nor there, just BB intrigue.
@Jumbo:
Now THAT would make one heck of a Pandora's Box! LOL
I'm not an Elissa fan (but I don't dislike her either) and I could not stand Rachel's mood swings (the absolute worst loser I have ever seen) when she won or lost a comp. Luckily Elissa is not like Rachel, but she does have a huge target on her and I do feel sorry for her. I don't understand why CBS recruited just 1 player with prior game ties. I also don't like the recruited players on the reality shows (Willie Hantz and Brandon Hantz are 2 prime examples). Surely there are enough willing fans to get 16 players each summer.
If Elissa replaces Jeremy with Kaitlin ( I thought she had a big fight with Jeremy and dumped him only to go back to him? What an airhead with low self esteem.), I doubt the others have the numbers to get her out and risk the wrath of the bully, Jeremy. I do worry that Jeremy will feel too big and dump his MC alliance for Kaitlin.
If Elissa is voted out, I wonder who wins the popularity contest called MVP? I do think Elissa made a big tactical error in admitting to be MVP to McCrae and others. She would have been better served to keep quiet and nominate someone who was mean to her then puff the ego's up of the young kids and tell them they were so popular it must have been someone else.
At this point, I think Nick is laying low and playing a good behind the scenes game. I would like to see Nick-McCrae-Amanda in F3.
Aaryn is being really sweet to GM. It's almost upsetting to see her being nice. People are such a complicated mix of good and bad. I guess that's why this show is so fascinating.
P.S. I've took a mental health week, that's why I am watching the feeds 24/7.
I also wonder since Jeremy/Aaryn "won" HOH this week, if he might be denied the chance to compete on Thursday. That would be poetic justice if Helen won and put him and Kaitlin up.
And one more thing ... there is always someone that it infuriates me they let on the show because I think it is dangerous to them. GM should not be in this situation with active bulimia and no therapy. This is a serious disease. She said she has throwing up every day for the last 10 years and stopped completely when she came into the house. She has no outlet for all that emotional turmoil. They are going to take her out of there on a stretcher.
Is it just me or is this show getting so painful to watch?
OMG GinaM needs to get a grip. She needs to quit telling that made up story about Matt back home. I dont think anyone is falling for it. Nick is just not into her! Of course, Aaryn enjoyed telling her all that crap so she could feel superior. After all she reads psychology books every week for fun as she has said many times....(said with sarcasm)
You must be on the East Coast! I just read your wicked comment in my best New York/New Jersey voice!
I agree with everything you said. Jeremy is a pompas ass, arrogant, self serving POS!!!
I agree with everything you said. Jeremy is a pompas ass, arrogant, self serving POS!!!
id love to see a Pandora box bring ellissa and rach back LOL
I hate thinking she may leave and i am also set in case she leaves.
I still hope Jer and kait and the rest the crew get fired and know america hates them
Is that REALLY a personal attack on Jeremy's mother? It is just like high school, the bullies pretend to be the victims...
Can someone please draw me a picture of who is with whom? It may be very simple, but I'm struggling to figure out alliances...
I want so badly for a rumor to start in the house that if Elissa goes, Pandora's box might have Rachel in it to take her place! Elissa needs to stay. I hated Rachel on the show but I really like Elissa's control of her emotions and calm demeanor.
I want to be Elisse's Fairy Godmother and come in with my wand and say Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo it will all come around for you :)
Wow.. what a wonderful group of comments... You all seriously rock. :)
BTW - The Overnight is up! Come see!

Its probably "cause" to test him when he comes back, especially since he's making decisions about conducting trains but I don't think they can fire him unless its in his system. I guess it depends on the collective bargaining agreement.
Stacey
Yea and he's acting all indignant that she insulted his mom. Umm, mr self proclaimed genius in hiding, that was an insult directed at YOU. Wow. And he keeps saying he's not just a pretty face. He was smart to give arryn the key tho because he's insured that he's at least got a say this week and he's still eligible to play next week.
stacey
That is interesting. Even an indepent contractor can be terminated for breach. I wonder exactly what class of arrangement they have if not contractors. I'm not familiar with laws about interns. I don't think we even have interns in key west. Other than doctors (I think. They might be residents) from the university of Miami.
Stacey
You know what? I was thinking same. I was disappointed in the whole, "...not the prettiest one in the house...," line of discussion
Stacey
It a.joys me how they act angry that America prefers elissa. They can't possibly think America's gonna embrace homophobic bigots. Jeez
