Wakey Wakey, PoV Spoiler & Aftermath

Good morning, BB Lovers! Happy PoV Saturday! Elissa revealed her true intention to Judd last night: Backdoor Amanda.  If anyone but Amanda wins the PoV, she will go up, be it next to Aaryn or McCrae.

The HGs picked players for PoV last night just before midnight.  In addition to Elissa, McCrae and Aaryn, Judd, Ginamarie and Amanda will be playing.  Since Amanda will be playing in the PoV, it could be said that this is not a true backdoor, but since the intent was there, it's up for interpretation.

If this this your 1st time on BBDish today, ya gotta go read The Overnight Report~PoV Player Picking ~ Fight Night!

It's action-packed! Big Fight! GM's head about exploded..  and who doesn't like a good GM Kaboom?

BB woke the HGs and Started the PoV Comp at 10am.. The Feeds are back and the PoV Spoiler is in this post!

Please refresh the post periodically for new info.

By request, I'm putting the tip jar into the post this morning.  The cel phone only readers never see it otherwise, and as much as I wish I could afford to do this 18+ hours  a day for free, until such time as I win the lottery, I cannot.

Thank you for your support! Without it, we're toast!

10:00am Wake up Fishies.

10:02am Trivia ~~ Could it be?  Could they be starting the PoV Comp right away this morning? As a card carrying member of the coffee addicted, I'm calling Caffeine Abuse!

10:15am Still trivia!  Wow.. Wakey Wakey PoV?!  A few @BigBrotherDish followers on twitter are suggesting that perhaps Zingbot is waking them up?  It's possible, but they tend to show us Zingbot on the feeds.. Either way..  Please feel free to move about your lives and enjoy your weekend.. We'll be here... either with updates or spoilers.  :-)

12:55pm  Still trivia!
For a very telling flashback while we wait, go to Thursday, August 22 - 11.36am on - Cam 3/4, Elissa tells Helen that if she wins HoH, she would put up Aaryn and McCrae, and then backdoor Amanda, but wouldn't tell anyone that it's her plan.

1:15pm Amanda has won the PoV!

Amanda: I won something.  And it was hard.  And it was physical. I'm gonna start to win stuff now. (whispers) Aaryn needs to stay. She'll get her out next week.

Well..  That puts a kink in the plans for the week!

1:24pm
Rainbow Room
McCrae, Amanda, Aaryn

Loyal to a fault, Amanda wants to keep their 4 together.. 3AM.

Aaryn: She's like, Aaryn, I think I made a mistake by putting you up.
Amanda: When?  After the veto?
Aaryn: (nods yes)
Amanda: haha!
McCrae: I just don't want Andy to go up.
Amanda: I don't care who you're up against, you're staying this week, and she's going home next week.

Aaryn: Whoever is loyal to me this week, I'll be loyal to forever.  I swear to God.
Amanda: I know.

1:26pm
HoH -Bathroom
GM and Elissa

Elissa: I've never been so freaking annoyed in my life.  Andy's going up. They're gonna want you to go up.
Ginamarie: I worked my f'in ass off.

1:31pm
Cam 3
McCrae and Spencer

Spencer: That girl is a lunatic.  She's in there talkin' to Nick's picture, by the way.

1:33pm
Bathroom
Cam 1

Amanda: I trust you.  I have my sales pitch for you.

Aaryn: I was like, Spencer, obviously she's trying to backdoor Amanda.  He frrrreaked out on me when I  didn't pick him.

Andy: Who the hell is she gonna put up?
Aaryn: Spencer.  Will I stay against Spencer?
Andy: Yes.
Amanda: And then we'll have our 4..

Aaryn: This is exactly why I picked Judd.. Hopefully, he'll vote to keep me.
Amanda: GM can go f herself.
Aaryn: She's gonna try to work with you now.
Amanda: She can eat my asshole, with a silver spoon.

Andy: When I went up there with GM, she wanted me to leave.
Aaryn: You're not going up, Andy.

1:42pm
HoH
Elissa and Judd
Cam 3

Elissa: Andy's so annoying and he drives me frigging insane.

Judd: So it wouldn't matter if I got rid of him..
Elissa: Oh my gosh.. This sucks..
Judd: I was tryin' to stay with big points..
Elissa: I know you have to kind of stay neutral..
Judd: I never thought she would win that ever.
Elissa: It's like the worse case scenario.. This always happens in Big Brother.. (cries) And I'm gonna go home now.  Everyone who goes against them always goes home.

Judd: Aaryn's gonna go home.  I'm gonna win HoH next week.

1:46pm

Aaryn to HoH

Elissa: Next week, will you target me?
Aaryn: I don't wanna say who I'll put up, because I need votes right now.  If I wanna stay here, I have to like, play the game.

1:50pm
Cam 3
Bathroom
Amanda and Aaryn

Amanda: Even if Andy goes up, I'm gonna tell McCrae, you will be here til the final 3.
Aaryn: Judd wants to vote me out now..
Amanda: Everyone will go home over you.  I'll make sure of it. Just don't do weird shit.
Aaryn: I told you why I was doing that.
Amanda: I get what you were doing.

Amanda: We have a week.  We have to make sure that GM's on the block, or that you get her back under your control.

1:54pm
Bathroom
Cam 3 and 4
Andy: If she puts me up, there's no way I'll go home, right?
Amanda: There's no way.

Aaryn enters..

Aaryn: I'm f'ing nervous. I don't want people telling me I'm gonna stay if I'm gonna go.  I will be a bitter jury member.
Andy: Same.

Amanda's coming up with a plan to try and get Elissa to put Ginamarie up as the ReNom..  Spark up your feeds, folks!  What a day! What a day!  The house is going bonkers! It's a must see!

If you've been holding off on getting the feeds, now is an excellent time to take the plunge. Here's a 2 day free trial to get you started. :-)

Anybody but Amanda for the win. To bad everyone thinks that Elissa decisions are Helens. Elissa told Helen that this was her plan. Glad that Elissa doesn't trust Andy, she's on to him.

Morning Carolyn...

I am loving watching Elissa mess with everyones head. It's just brutal that she keeps laughing at Amanda even when Amanda has the water works employed. It isn't the best strategy on Elissa's part but she isn't going to win anyway so I am thoroughly amused with her antics at this point in the game.

I thought in seasons past we got to see zingbot on the feeds, thank you for reminding me and helping my psychi (LOL).

I do not follow with DR leading these people, but that the questions they pose help these people in this pressure cooker think more clearly on their own.

Thanks again Caro, I got to sleep again knowing the news would be here this A.M. :) Hugs Girl.

Elissa is not as clueless as previously believed. Is that her interpretation of gameplay. Being so contradictory so she keeps them all confused is not a bad way to go. I have a niece who has an iq off the charts, she also scored a 1590 in her SATS. Grant you that was in the 80's, but my point here is she is so brilliant book wise but she doesn't have the common sense to come in out of the rain. I wonder if that is Elissa playing the game. Just thinking out loud I guess.

I promise I will try to make this my last long post of the day. This happens to me every year. I seem to turn against the HGs that are considered to be the 'good' people. Is it because I like the 'bad' people better? No, but their behavior is obvious. It's in your face. I don't respect Aaryn, GM or Amanda-nor do I hate them. I don't hate Elissa, nor do I respect her. I like to look at things from every angle.

Aaryn-She is pretty, she seems to be well spoken and educated and she seems to have a good work ethic. Is she a racist, racially insensitive, plain and simply ignorant or a product of her environment? I don't know. If she has never felt herself to be a racist and if this isn't a family trait, I think she can change. Her best chance is to watch this show surrounde by people who will love and support her but will also point out what she did wrong rather than excusing or condoning it.

GM-She no doubt, has a huge heart. She does not seem educated and I would assume, struggled with what education she did receive. I would guess that she is very much a product of her environment. Whether it came from family or people she surrounds herself with I don't know. She plays into the Jersey stereotype. I am not implying all people from Jersey act that way, I am specifically commenting on the Jersey Shore subculture. Because her lifestyle probably won't change, I doubt that she will ever change.

Amanda-She is a conundrum. She has so much that is likable about her but has done so many unlikable things. I suspect she plays a character a lot, whether to cover up insecurities or because she enjoys being an actress and comedian. Somehow it went terribly wrong. I don't know how much is the real her and how much is the character. I think because of the HGs she was surrounded by this year she thought she could join in and do it bigger and badder. I don't know if she would have been different in a different season. If this is a character she chose to play, I suspect she will have deep regrets when she realizes how people feel about her. If this is the real Amanda, I would believe she may need help. I think she will be sorry and I think she can change. One thing I do respect-when she fights it is ugly and uncomfortable but when she games, she keeps it on game level and does not make it personal as she proved with her conversations with Helen.

I spend more time talking about the Elissa's and Helen's because everyone talks about the GM's, Aaryn's and Amanda's. I just feel like if we could all see that even the worst people have good qualities and even the best people have flaws there would be so much less animosity in BB with 'good' vs. 'evil' every year.

I notice small things (thank you live feeds). The night of the mattress flipping, what bothered me far more than the heated fight between GM, Aaryn and Candice, was watching Kaitlin. She didn't say as much so she came off looking like the good girl who fell in with the wrong crowd. She sat in that room egging in on and then sat there grinning from ear to ear and laughing. It was so obvious that she was enjoying seeing her friends make fools of themselves and seeing Candice being hurt-those are the things that I pick up on and that's why it is so hard or me to keep my opinions to myself.

I'm sorry for preaching. I am done.

I don't think Elissa is clueless at all. And I don't think Elissa really wants to win. But I do think she would love to take out Amanda or McCrea or even Aaryn for that matter. And she will go down in the history of BB if she can backdoor Amanda!!! Well, in my opinion anyway

Ugh....I got, got..lol

I'll repost here what I said on TOR:

Good Morning Carolyn!! another long night!!

I awoke to trivia, so it's giving me time to think all this through...

I've been in the chats all season trying to squash the rumor mill (at least in the Dish room, and this latest rumor about Elissa's plans being changed in DR is just another one of those.

Do I think maybe DR might have asked a few questions that maybe Elissa should have already been asking herself, And maybe she actually saw the light and changed her plans? Yeah, that's probably more like it.

I have been referencing a blog written by a former HG, and BB winner, all season when addressing this DR interference rumor, that seems to come up every year...and it really opened my eyes about what actually goes on in there, and why so many HG's always feel that DR told them to this, or that... I would post the link, but out of respect for Carolyn I will not do so unless she says it's OK.

I think all along Elissa had an idea that using Amanda as replacement nom was an option, and Helen did lay out this plan to her before leaving. I don't think Elissa really thought it work though, until she started answering DR questions, and figured it all out through her own answers...

I haven't been an Elissa fan all season, however if Elissa had been the person I've seen the past 24 hours, I probably would have liked her...her talk with GM in HoH last night showed a side of her, a down to earth human side that I hadn'r seen until now. And to see GM actually gain just a little bit of self respect during that conversation, and see the inner person shine through was amazing...I truly believe if Elissa had been the kind and loving Elissa we saw last night with all the HG's all season she may have just been a good enough influence on them all that we wouldn't have had all the rude remarks and comments we have had this season.

That being said, I'm no Amanda fan either...her time has come, and it's time to go home. Amanda missed her shot early on by not realizing how heavily her strategy relied on Helen's, and not teaming with Helen from the get go...with Helen gone, Amanda's strategy went too...With Amanda controlling the HoH's target each week, and Helen selling the "vote for who HoH is targeting" mantra, if they had workeed to gether to selectively pick off the HG's 1 by 1, they could have been an unstoppable duo...especially if noone caught onto them working together. But als, that was not meant to be....Amanda, I hope you enjoy your time in Jury house, dear!

Going forward...with Amanda gone, Judd, Spencer, and Mccrea could get together and work to remove the rest of the house, maybe drag Aaryn along for good measure and "Brigade" her, or even Elissa...Every Brigade needs a Britney after all...lol

Just some of my random thought for today....I'll shut up now and let you all get back to trivia!!

I am hoping for a guy reunion/alliance. The girls have been too emotional and unlikable. Originally I was hoping for Goof Troop part 2. But long before Judd came back and referred to Amanda as the devil, I knew she would never let McCrae work with Judd. For that reason, I was more than ok with her being evicted. Unfortunately, Judd seems to have a lot of anger directed at McCrae so right now the idea of them working together doesn't sound so good. Of course, a week can be a long time in BB land. Hopefully something will change. I, for one, am not a Julissa fan.

Personally, I don't think Elissa is done, I just think this is the first week she has been able to play the game her way. In the past, she had no support, even Helen has shot down her ideas so many times. Finally with Helen gone and winning HOH, she is able to do something. We have seen Elissa be kind to Candice so we know that has always been there so her being kind to GM is not a surprise to me. I think she knows that GM is a person who takes on the behaviors and charateristics of the people she is around. JMHO

Thank you Carolyn, I did remember that from a few seasons back, I just didn't know if there had been some sort of falling out or not...I couldn't remember...

So for those interested in what really goes on in the DR, here's a great article written by Jun Song earlier this season...

http://jundishes.com/2013/07/23/big-brother-diary-room-faqs/

Grendon, I agree...going forward for Judd, Elissa is not his strongest ally, but Judd is really not showing his hand yet since he came back, other than making sure he isn't going right back out the door this week...I think the events of this week will make up his mind for him who to join with....without Amanda there to control McCrea, we may very well see a guys reunion...

One constant, from year to year, is that each houseguests thinks the other houseguest is the biggest liar, and the worst ..... whatever.

As for Amanda, I didn't like her from the first week. I think the first comment I ever wrote was how toxic she was. I remember when the feeds first started up how nasty she was, how hard she was going after Elissa. Mccrea changed her target and she became an attack dog to get David out.

Mccrea has to constantly keep her from going off on others. She baits people, pushing buttons until they go off, and then just rises above the fray with that, "who me?" look and smarmy vitriol.

It will be interesting, if she leaves, to see if Mccrea can do something besides lay in bed, eat, smoke and say yeah, yeah, yeah. He sure has never lifted a hand to do anything else.

I'm with whoever remarked on the new Elissa if she had been this way from the beginning it would have been a much more interesting dynamic in the house. As to the DR thing her plan, from the beginning was to backdoor Amanda. She just didn't tell anyone else. The DR may have let her know that there would be an early POV and she thought it was time to bring in some allies.

Paula, I don't think I've ever seen published rules for BB. They have evolved over time. If I remember correctly when the Veto first appeared they could be put up if they vetoed someone on the block, I think they changed the rule the next year.

Somebody goes home every week. I dont think Elissa is a mastermind at all. I think her laughing is either nerves or a lack of class. This game is just a continuation of her normal life in her mind. If something goes her way it is because she is the best. The only reason she is in the game is because anyone will beat her in F2. Anyone

Grendon,

I love your insight on this game, but I do have correct one thing about your comments on GinaMarie. She's NOT from Jersey. Her BB bio says that her hometown is Brooklyn and that she currently lives in Staten Island, just like all those clowns from "Jersey Shore."

Sorry if I'm a little sensitive about this, but I grew up at the Shore, and the majority of the people I know are not at all as these caricatures portray. I've spent my whole life being from Jersey, The Shore has gotten a bad rap from one horrible TV show. I prefer to look at it through my Springsteen lens: An area populated with hard working people who are proud of where they're from. : )

August 24, 2013 at 12:03 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

Jumbo, I think you may be correct as to why she is still in the game. She was not perceived as a threat, and everyone thought they could beat her. She has shown a fierceness the last couple of weeks that was not evident earlier, she is showing some heart and desire to win. So minds are changing.
I also agree that the laugh is probably a nervous reaction.

Good day Carolyn and other Dishers. I hope the PoV comp is over soon. I have been without internet since last Wednesday and the latest update is that it will be down until next Monday or Tuesday. I'm at my mom & dad's right now with my laptop so that is the only way I know what's going on since no internet means no live feeds. :( I am hoping for an Amanda win (she needs to win a comp already!) so that Aaryn goes to jury next.

I think Elissa laughing at Amanda is a defense mechanism. She has watched Amanda bait enough HGs to know that laughing will annoy her for one. Two if she is laughing she can't fight with her and 3. We all have either taught our children or been taught as children that bullies can be defused by not giving them what they want. .... A fight. So I think it was a defense mechanism for her.

Hello All;
I am no Elissa fan and I thought she should have been gone weeks 1 or 2 but since they (mostly Helen) kept her she is doing a little better.

I started out being a McC and Amanda fan but have cooled lately with her manipulation and crying when she loses or crying that someone should have given her the win. I definitely think McCrae could have made an alliance with her without the smoochey showmance. It looks like they spend way too much time alone making out instead of mingling separately playing the social game. This was the Jeremy/Kaitlin problem and I don't see how they have not been a target earlier. McC and Amanda will obviously take each other to F2 so one wins and the other gets 2nd place money and they move to Florida where he is the house husband with $550,000 in the bank. IIRC, it was her that moved in week 1 in HOH and has not left his side since except to argue that he let Jessie sit next to him on the HOH couch and he should have moved to her side immediately.

Maybe a little more Andy-like in their social games and less Atilla-the-Hun slash and burn tactics that she likes to use on the floaters like Jessie, GM, and Aaryn.

Thanks. I was talking about beating Elissa in comps though, I was talking about beating her in jury votes. As long as the comps stay simply physical she has as good a shot at winning them as anybody. But I dont see anyone beyond Helen and Candice voting for her in F2 to win 500k

I am not ready to see Amanda or McCrae go especially not by ellisa. I may be the only one rooting for Amanda to win. I would love to see who else Elissa would nominate if Amanda and McCrae are safe. I am so disappointed in Andy he said he was loyal to mcranda And he is showing his true colors these last few days.

@Grendon...I am so glad to have a friend in this 'I hate Amanda' comments. Like you, I am not a fan of Amanda's any longer, I was at first, but she really can figure out the game and I enjoy that.

What I can't abide is someone like Andy, who for weeks has declared that he is all about loyalty completely turned his back on first Helen who he just loved, loved, loved and now is so far up Elissa's butt that he found GM who has been missing for weeks. Talk about a flip flopper I'm pretty sure he is the classic example of one since once again he has flipped on Amanda and McCray (and actually even Aaryn) that he has promised loyalty to the end. He does not deserve to win even the $50000 IMHO.

As for Elissa I absolutely cannot abide her. She thinks she is so much better than everyone else (as she has said many, many times) that it is galling to see her have any kind of power so she can lord it over the 'little people'.

At this point I can't believe that Judd, whom I really wanted to come back and win, is making me ill in his sucking up to Elissa. I know some sucking up is needed but come on Judd!!!!

GM I can't even discuss. That poor girl doesn't have a clue and I believe she is going to have a tough time when she gets out of the house and becomes aware that she is not as beloved as she thinks she is. Enough said about her.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm beginning to pull for Aaryn and gasp Spencer a little bit.

If McCray would get off his ass, get out of bed and start playing this game I would like to see him win. I believe at heart he really is a good guy. I wanted him and Judd to get together and go to final 2. Maybe this will happen, who knows, if Amanda leaves.

We will know if Amanda did not win when the feeds come back and she is behind the garbage cans crying again!

Again I do not believe Amanda is this evil being. She is just aggressive and as a knack for knowing the right thing that should be done to get her alliance further down the road. So I wish everyone could back off of her a little. After all she has managed to keep her 4 safe until now when everyone she has protected is turning on her.

Rant over. Sorry.

Grendon--I agree with your assessments about GM. About the mattress turning, I watched this live, too. I agree about Kaitlin, but that whole night when Jeremy was taking Jessie's bed, etc...she did start, but then hung back. Like the night Elissa and Aaryn were going at it. She even said she does not like confrontation. I think she gets very uncomfortable and doesn't participate. Unless she has major back up.

As for Aaryn, the more I watch her, the more I like her. I don't agree with most of her in the first month of the game. I don't even think she is a racist. I think she makes inappropriate comments and doesn't realize how inappropriate they are. I think she will get out of the house and watch and learn. At least that's what I hope. She said the other night that her parents taught her to treat all people the same. She seems to be really close with her family. Which makes me wonder why her mom and dad didn't sign a release. She said last night that she was so sad she didn't get a letter or pictures of her parents and she misses them so much.

Amanda??? She lost me after the whole band aid thing. And the sex. I'm sorry, but I'm no prude, but I never understand how people go on live, 24 hours, national TV and have sex. Family and friends seeing this? Yuck. Not to mention, the production people. Having to talk to them, knowing they are watching your every move. I don't get it. Call me a prude, I guess. I so respected Jordan and Jeff for this reason.

I do remember different veto rules but don't know the technicalities of each. But there definitely was a time that the only person the veto gave a power to was the person holding it, kind of like Survivor's individual immunity idol. You could use it on yourself if you were on the block or you could give it to someone else, thereby losing any protection.

This is how we learned of the play that shall forever be remembered as 'pulling a Marcellas.'

Part of why I think Elissa may think she is better than some of the others is because she doesn't condone nor believe in the racist comments that have been slung around inside the house. If that comes off as "I'm so better than everyone else", well in that context I can comfortably side with her with no qualms.

I don't think McCrae will have the votes to stay over Aaryn if noms stay the same. GM and Judd would definitely vote to evict. Spencer most likely would evict. If Andy catches on to the way votes will go down he will go with the majority.

Of course, a lot can change in 5 days. But if they were voting today I would bet money on McCrae leaving.

While I'm on the Aaryn topic...I don't condone her comments. But one incident that people also blew up about was when she said "ax" instead of "ask" and said "see? now you have me saying it like that." I think she was talking to GM, not Candice. GM says it like that all the time.

I don't know. I'm not defending her comments by any means, but I don't think she's as bad as some think. I just think she has some growing up to do.

It's the most difficult cast to root for. And for Andy, some call him a floater, but I don't think that. He won some comps and I think he was key on saving Amanda when Helen went to him to ask him about it. Helen totally would've voted out Amanda with Jessie, if she got Andy on board. So he does have some influence. But JUDD, he's the one I can whole heartily root for!! ;)

I agree about Amanda, everything you said. She really doesn't have to behave this way and I can't figure out why she does unless it is the sex abuse thing. I'm by far not a prude but I was astounded the night with the band aids ! Maybe she's just proud of what she bought and paid for! I also don't watch the sexcapades and when she starts all the really gross sex talk with Spencer and everyone else I have to change the camera. It makes me want to scream at her to shut up, that she is better than that.

I'll bet her family can't stand to watch that. I know my dad would have had a stroke! May he rest in peace.

Thank you so much. I can always count on you for support. I was beginning to think I should give up as it seems I am not conveying what I want to convey.

I know I am targeting Elissa today, I'm just not doing a good job of explaining why I guess. I have seen moments of humor and kindness with her and she obviously understands the game more than any of us thought. It just seems so easy for people to choose villains and then excuse the same actions and mean tendencies in other people. If people were spending the majority of time only talking about Elissa and how bad she is I would probably be defending her and reminding people of how badly she was treated the first weeks. Right now, it seems the person everyone enjoys complaining about is Amanda while Elissa is being celebrated. If everything was based on game play it wouldn't bother me as much, but it does get personal and that's when I feel the need to say 'Hey Elissa did a lot of the same things, so if it's not o.k. for people that aren't popular right now to act that way, it shouldn't be o.k. for her.'

And for some reason I do have a soft spot for Amanda. I don't try to defend her other than to say what she has done well in a game sense. She has brought a lot of the personal issues on herself but I still feel that the alliance going to crap started with Helen. I just remember the things I liked about her and hope for her mental health and happiness when she leaves. Elissa will be leaving to a lot of support and a built in fan base. Amanda will probably leave to something much different.

Ric Amaguin...I see that argument made by many Elissa fans, that she feels she is above the comments they have made....and I partially agree that she is classier than that...

However, other comments made, either directly or indirectly by Elissa are what have most people forming the opinion of her as an Elitist..

Comments like what she said to Aaryn early on about "We have nothing in common therefore I have no desire to ever talk to you about anything"

...or the DR session about Amanda's one-piece "If I was trying to turn my husband on I wouldn't wear a french one piece, who does that?"

...or when she and Helen were talking in the HN room one day and Elissa said something along the lines of "I don't know why I should have to talk to any of these people, because I have nothing to talk to them about"

...or even just the other day in HoH when she flat out told Aaryn "I don't want anything you have, and you will NEVER have what I do"

the list goes on and on...if Elissa was just feeling that the comments were wrong, why not take the mentor stance like she did with GM last night, and show them she actually cared about them as people, and not alienate them all for being "beneath her"?

Granted, I am not an elissa fan, yet I do partially agree with the fact that she is above the "racism" and petty attacking that has gone on, but she is still a human being and just because she lives a better lifestyle, does not mean she's automatically higher on the social order than anyone else...and her comments throughout the season have reinforced that she does feel that none of these people are in her social class, which is elitism (sp) at it's finest....and alienating your competitors in a social game is just a really bad BB strategy...

That said, I do hope we continue to see the Elissa that shined so bright last night with GM, the caring, down to earth, big sister mentor Elissa..I like that one...

Perception is everything I guess. A lot of my defense of Elissa is because I perceived everyone was picking on her. Amanda, I'm afraid I just never took to her, I also perceived many people were for her against others that I though more deserving. The abuse engenders more sympathy, and understanding, but doesn't make me like her actions anymore. It is like with Ginamarie, I truly believe that she belongs in treatment, not in the house, but that doesn't make me excuse her actions.

Good Afternoon Carolyn, all

First, thanks for the kind words and thank you so much Carolyn for my new title. I will wear it with honor :)

I'm not sure what I want to happen, who to win POV. If Amanda and McCrae lose she's going up and it's going to be WWXV in that house. There will be so much yelling and crying and threats to self evict the feeds will be 50 times nuttier than normal. On the other hand if she wins then she will be unbelievably smug and walk around like queen bee, as normal. If McCrae wins, here's where it gets tricky. Does he use it knowing she will go up and probably out? Does he fall on his sword for his woman and stay on the block? Does he have the votes to stay over Aaryn? I'm not so sure. If anyone else wins, although Elissa asked them not to use it, she would want them to take Aaryn down and put Amanda next to McCrae.

As far as Elissa goes, I'm sure the plan was always to BD Amanda and DR had no influence whatsoever. A do not believe conspiracy theories. They come up every year and every year something happens to debunk them. I think it just seemed less so because in the early seasons people weren't aware of what happened and contestants weren't as aware of how things looked. Now they know exactly what to talk about on the live feeds and what not to so the fans will either know or be left in the dark. Look how not one of these people, who love to talk about everything, leaked to us the fact that either Britney or Poppy had been guest hosts. They play to the camera far more than we will ever suspect. They were chosen for a reason.

She won!!!! cue the smugness.

In all likelihood, Elissa may very well get evicted after her reign, but her moves this week has my respect because I love that she didn't "toe the company line". She proceeded to put a plan in motion everyone else were to afraid of making. She was probably in trouble no matter what, so why not go out taking a big player with her. What was she supposed to do? Evict GM or Spencer to appease mccrae, Amanda, and Andy? At least she is doing what she wants to do and not being spineless like some of the other house guests who seem to be cowering.

See, this is why people put couples up side by side. Who cares what she thinks. Face it, Elissa is scared of Amanda too. A backdoor is needed when you don't want someone to play for Veto. This happens so often in BB it's not even surprising. Well, it's the beginning of the end for Elissa. Maybe Judd will win HoH he'll surely put up McCranda

Elissa has laughed many times over Amanda crying. I guess I just wanted her to see how it feels. I know that sounds mean but I don't mean it that way. Elissa started out this game with a plus(the Brenchal Army) and was protected for weeks. It's time she put on her big girl panties and play for herself

Hi Carolyn and BB Dishers!

cyninbend....

Sorry for my delayed response but once im offline I dont get back on until maybe 5pm the next day.... And sometimes its too much to try to backtrack and see if anyone responded to something.

When I said a 33% chance one would win I meant one of the two noms...McCrae or Amanda since I consider them a package deal. And when figuring out if Amanda had a chance in playing veto if not nominated, I was thinking that there are three people going to be picked out of five available. The Hoh and nominees are guaranteed to play so I dount count them. Thats how I came up with a 60% chance she would be one of the 3 but I guess it is still just a 20% chance. I knew id probably mess up on the math somewhere *wink*

Off to catch up on whatevers going on now.

While she still has the powsr of the replacement nom. She needs to get Spencer on her side. Tell him that Amanda will make sure whoever is next to Aaryn is gonna go home. Stop playing personal for a second and get Spencer under your belt. If you get Aaryn out. I think Spencer will ultimately follow Judd. Which will give you a 50 50 chance of staying safe. If the veto winner is on the block they can save themselves.

If the veto winner is not on the block (Amanda) she can remove someone from the block (McCrae) and she can not be the renom.

When Marcellas played, the veto only protected the person holding it. Marcellas won, his friend Amy was on the block, he gave her the veto, he became the renom and was evicted.

**** SCREAM ****

Sorry for the super scream (bold denotes the loudest possible, make your ears bleed, breaking crystal, blood curdling and sound barrier breaking) Carolyn and fellow commenters but this is not the way I wanted to start my BB day.

Even worse is I am texting this because DQTD grabbed the laptop just as I was finishing "Spanglish" on one of the HBO channels. I would cut him off but I can't stop giving him what he already hasn't been getting.

This was my worst possible case coming true. STOOPID STOOPID STOOPID!!!!! I knew this was going to happen the minute I found out Amanda was playing for PoV. It's "The Peter Principle" exactly how it is supposed to work. I feel very ill. Any getting Amanda out now will be a true miracle.

I'm on a broken roller coaster in the first car and hanging on to the apex of the biggest drop on the ride. I see no hope of rescue. Then to read that Judd, my main man,is verifying it's OK to get rid of Andy. I heard another bolt falling out of the roller coaster and hitting metal below. I know I saw sparks and it's still daylight.

I know Andy isn't popular with many of you but I still see him playing a good albeit his own style of game. He keeps his options open from every angle. He stays in the good graces without reprecussions from any faction. He's not a floater, he is doing a great job of CYA. His true alliance has been with 3AM and it's other names it has been called since the start of the season. If you look in his face you can see it. He is excellent at pulling needed info and gets it back to whoever needs to know. That is NOT floating. That is playing an intregel (I can't spell it and auto-correct can't either) role.

RANT OVER (for now).

One of the posters here mentioned that when the show is over, Amanda will have a difficult time, while Elissa will be OK. The question is - whose fault is that? No one forced Amanda to be the vile person that she is in the show. It is her own doing. For that reason, I do not care what happens to her outside BB. She has made her bed, so she has to lie on it.

I think Spencer is aligned, or thinks he is, with Andy and Mccrea.

If Elissa puts up Andy then Aaryn will probably leave.

I think Judd believes he has zero chance with Mcranda and will, if possible, stay with Elissa and Ginamarie.

I think there is a pretty good chance that anyone but Mccrae and Andy would put up Amanda next week.

I dont think Elissa is someone you can work with. When Helen was in the house Helen did all the work. Judd has many options. Elissa's problem is everyone is closer to each other than they are to her. Her best bet would have been to let Amanda run her HOH and take out Judd or GM. Amanda is the only one that can see the value in Elissa enough to overlook her personality.

If Amsnda scares Andy enough that he breaks down and begs Elissa that if she puts him up he is going home, she might make a deal with him to keep him off the block. Elissa tried to enact Helen's plan, but she is on her own now.

I would hate to find out my life had been recorded 24 hours a day. I'm sure along the way I have said and done things I would regret. And that is without the paranoia of knowing people are plotting against me, competing against me and talking behind my back. That is without the claustrophobia of being locked in one place that I cannot leave, can't take a drive, read a book or watch t.v. That is without never having a moment of privacy, knowing there is no one I can really trust, not knowing what is going on in the world or if my family is doing o.k.

I used to think that these people signed up for the show and should have known what to expect. But I took into consideration, we don't know everything that has happened in their lives, what beliefs or morals they were taught, what tragedies may have molded their lives. All of their actions and reactions are intensified a thousand times more than the normal person. Especially in the heat of the moment or in times of extreme boredom.

I used to believe they got what they asked for. These are the things that changed my mind.

1-Knowing that a vast majority of these HGs not only forgive each other, but actually become friends. If they can forgive, why should we think they should get what they are asking for.

2-Knowing that 'what they are asking for' is a rediculous concept. One 'fan' thought that one HG was asking to have her daughter kidnapped from school, raped, killed and left in a field.

The concept of 'he/she made his/her bed, now they can lie in it' may be good in theory but in reality it doesn't always translate.

I respect the game that Andy has been playing but I took exception to his attitude with Helen when she questioned his loyalty. He never did as he promised and tell her the truth always. I know it's Big Brother I get it. It just seems to me that everyone but Elissa is allowed to fabricate. If Elissa does nominate Andy I think that vote could go either way. Good lord he has final 2/3 with everyone there. Aaryn and Amanda are allowed to cry but when Helen or Elissa cry its they need to suck it up and accept their fate. Double standard here. I remember the year jun won, one of the jury members said "I hate to vote for either one of you because you are nasty , so I guess for the lessor if two evils". (Paraphrasing some of that). Well that's the way I feel this year no matter who makes it to the end. Amanda, GM, Aaryn and Spencer have vulgar mouths, McCrae has no ambition, Andy has been a "rat" as he so pleasantly called every other hg and Elissa well I'm not sure how to describe her. I will not judge Judd at this juncture he hasn't been back long enough. This cast as human beings leave me speechless and I don't reward bad behavior such as I've seen this year. So far the lesser evils are Judd Andy or Elissa. I really don't believe the others should be rewarded for their vulgarity. I respect game play but in what universe is that acceptable

And I'm a republican for crying out loud. Find me one place on earth where the culture or lack of education is enough of an excuse to behave that way and spew the things that come out of her mouth. I think her good heart is directed at those she can get things from and the second you disagree with her she becomes an instant psychopath. She is a horrible person and I wish she had received half the edit from CBS that Aaryn has. She deserves to be shown in her true light but the things she has said were so awful they couldn't even be edited for TV. That's what kept her safe. I will be so upset if she makes it to the end. Everyone else deserves it more than her.

My memory of the infamous Marcellus POV goes like this. Marcellus and Amy were on the block. Marcellus wins POV. He then decided no to use it because he felt safe and didn't want to put his friends in the awkward position of having to put someone else up. They then had the vote. It was tied and then the HOH broke the tie sending Marcellus home. The POV has always came with safety for both the winner and whomever they have used it on.

I am honestly not excusing GM, only guessing how she may have become the person she is. And I don't think she will ever change.

I have not loved Amanda in the game. I was automatically turned off the first week. Then her humor and ability to be loyal and strategic won me over. Then when she got nasty it made me cringe. Based on a game level she is a good player. I didn't even realize how good until Helen, Elissa and Aaryn started giving her props. On a personal level she has definitely screwed things up. But the more she is bashed the more I feel sorry for her because I think she will regret her behavior and that she may be a very different person outside this house. Since it is something I will probably never know, I would prefer to give her the benefit of the doubt.

I guess my biggest problem is when Amanda gets bashed for certain behaviors but Elissa and Helen get excused for the same behaviors. It doesn't mean that I think Helen and Elissa are awful people.

I'm back! And so disappointed. I think. I really go back and forth. I was kinda excited to see Amanda the Mastermind leave and see how everyone else plays, since they've been playing for her this whole time. Amanda had the fire when her life was on the line. Good for her. She is the best player this season, fer sure.

Janine

Back in BB3 Marcellas won the Veto and he was on the block. He decided not to use it because Amy was his girl and was sent packing. Great TV. http://youtu.be/hiSV9K38XMo

After that the Veto became the Golden Power of Veto = you are safe automatically.

A couple of time the Diamond Power of Veto has been in play = you are safe and get to name replacements.

Grendon I am appalled at the story you told about a previous hg. Please tell me that wasn't directed at Shelly because of jordon. I know there were hate sites constructed to torture the poor woman. Human nature is really sinking to a new low. While I don't like some of the things these people have said and done I wish them no harm. There is an Irish prayer that ends "and with harm to none". I can't even watch action movies because of some of the cruel acts in them. I guess I have a Pollyanna outlook on life. Thank you for sharing that tidbit. It does put things in a different perspective. But I still believe that you don't reward "bad" behavior and the lessor of the "evils" are Judd, Andy and Elissa. Do I think she will win no. But I can't believe these people don't think of Elissa being in the jury house for 3 weeks with the rest of the HGs and her comments will be toxic against a few of them.

That is incorrect, the silver power of veto was only used for one person, the golden power of veto took the person off the block and also protected the holder, that is my recollection of the difference

Amanda during the pov ceremony will tell Elissa she intends to use the pov on mccrae, because nothing comes between her and her man

I won't ever feel sorry for Amanda. And she deserves everything she gets when she leaves the house. She has been the most horrible person with a comment for all the races, ethnicity, personalities, religions, etc. If she could bash it she did. I don't like Elissa either, but I never heard Elissa talk about people the way that Amanda has.

Earlier this season (I can't remember who) Someone was going to use the Veto on somebody on the block. They were told, "if you use it then I'm putting you on the block in their place." They didn't use it. So why can't Elissa put Amanda on the block if Amanda uses the Veto on McCrea?

Hello Everyone,
I have a question regarding the use of the veto. Amanda has won the veto and if she uses it to take McCrae off the block can she be placed on the block? Does the veto protect both the winner and the person taken off the block?

Thanks in advance!

They got booze. Fasten your seatbelts. I'm betting it's going to get good. Will blood be shed tonight? Will someone break a bottle and cut someone or their own throat? Carolyn will have it all in The Overnight Report in the morning before she takes her much needed Sanity Break.

Amanda is still pouting. I just tuned in but I'm gathering she tried to get Elissa to agree to putting up GM and evicting her so 3AM will stay intact.

Elissa is sleeping. No one has awakened her yet for the alcohol fest. Pigs... All of them.

:o)
