The Overnight Report

Good Morning, Big Brother lovers! Happy Thursday! Today in the Big Brother 10 house: Nominations. But first... the overnight report. While I get coherent and get it assembled, please check out C=Venus' latest... You can click the pic to check out the rest of her chops from Big Brother 10 and seasons gone by.

Also, ya gotta scroll down to the next post and check out TheRealDeal's first Weekly ReCap of the season. Loved it!

The Overnight will be going up in sections. Please check back for it starting around 7:15am BBT.

The HGs spent the first half of last night waiting for Jessie to get his HoH Room, and we were there waiting too. Once the crowd filed out, talk turned to Nominations again... but the real discussion didn't begin til Dan finally left.

Nomination Discussion
or
Browbeating Jessie into Keeping Renny off the Block

OK.. week 2 of HoH by Committee.

Memphis: I'm just sayin', like, Steven and Dan need to leave the house this week...
April: You can't have Dan & Steven in the house.
Memphis: Oh totally.
Michelle: I pick Steven number 1.
Libra: I pick Steven number 1.
April: Dan's just a little mole that follows people around the house.
Memphis: Oh absolutely, Steven number 1, but we can't assume that one of em's gonna win the PoV. We can't assume...
Jessie: All I'm sayin is, I want Renny outta this house.
April: Honey..
Michelle: I know, I know
Ollie: She's gone, man, She's gone.
Michelle: Listen, she'll be out before the jury. She'll be gone before the jury.

Jessie pouts a little.. he's completely outnumbered.

Memphis: I'll I gotta say is, over my f'in dead body if I'm gonna share the jury house with that crazy lady.
April: She'll be out.
Michelle: She'll be out. We'll get her out fourth. Take the next one, then her..
April: I say 4th though. We can put her up next.
Ollie: She's goin out 3rd or 4th, and we'll worry about that next week. Now we have to focus on Steven.
April: Steven.. Who knows. He might shoot himself before then. We don't know.. the poor guy.
***This is a reference to Steven repeatedly asking production for xanax and them not giving it to him. He told them he was stressed out, and they said, so's everyone else in the house.
The HGs up in HoH start discussing the what ifs of the Power of Veto Comp, to further solidify Jessie's commitment to putting both Dan & Steven on the block, as a way to insure one of them actually leaves... If both aren't on the block, one could win and save the other. They also pump Jessie up with how mature it will make him look to America to keep Renny off the block...
***Incidentally, as of 7am BBT, Renny's up and in the kitchen. Everyone else is still asleep.

While the upstairs crew is going on talking smack about everyone else, the downstairs crew: Steven, Angie, Keesha, Renny and Dan are playing a game of "Say Something Positive about everyone." The game is Keesha's doing. What a difference!

Keesha: Steven, you have gorgeous eyes.
Steven: Dan, I think that you have an incredible, positive outlook on things even in the face of adversity.
Angie(for Libra): I admire that motherhood does not define her.
Keesha (for April): She looks good in heels, I gotta give it to her. She's a pretty girl.
Angie (to Keesha): You made me change my mind about judging people based on looks. You're a very solid person.
Dan (to Steven): Being friends with you has changed my rigid views on gay people.

They then transition into talking about their lives and the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina for New Orleans and the rest of the Gulf Coast.

CUT TO:
11:25pm BBT
HOH ROOM
Libra,
The Thought Police
Libra: What I can't figure out is why Keesha is hanging out with Angie. She said she hated her from the minute she saw her.
Memphis: I'm not convinced that Keesha's not playing both sides.
April: If she's gonna use any of last night against me...
Memphis: Even if she flips, they still don't have enough people.
Ollie: This could be nothing. It could have nothing to do with the game.
Memphis: Keesha will have the chance to prove herself this week. If she wins PoV, we'll see what she does with it.

Memphis instructs the girls to leave Keesha out of the loop this week, and see how it all plays out. April gets one more dig in, saying that Keesha and Steven are too close.

CUT TO:
12:45am BBT
HoH
Jessie & Michelle
The crew broke up a little while ago, and now it's just Jessie and Michelle... He reconfirms that it's going to be Dan & Steven on the block, and he also reconfirms Memphis' solid place in their alliance. They toy with the idea of bringing Jerry into their alliance, because he'd be so true to them.

Jessie asks Michelle to go get Memphis, and tells her to watch out for Libra along the way. He doesn't want her to sniff out their alliance.

Memphis comes back to HoH, and they talk about Angie, with whom the 3 of them had an original alliance. Jessie's been waiting for her to come up, but she hasn't made a move to. The 3 of them agree they really can't trust her now anyway, but they're interested to hear what she has to say.

CUT TO:
1:45am BBT
Angie & Jessie
Angie asks Jessie if the 2 of them can go up to HoH and talk... They go up and have a few minutes alone, during which Jessie tells her he's really come to doubt her after the last week, but (in a nut shell) he managed to keep her off the block for the nominations when others were pushing for her to go up. Jessie wants Angie to prove her loyalty to their original alliance... Angie says she was wrong for putting friendships before game, and that she really stinks at this game, and she wants to be in their alliance of 4, and she's drunk...

Michelle comes back to HoH, and tells them Libra sent her up to see what Jessie's talking to Angie about.. and that she'll make something up.

After some tense talks, Jessie tells Angie she's not the target, at least for the next 3 weeks, and she has nothing to worry about. Angie says she feels like such an idiot for not talking to him sooner. They hug. Happy times.

That concludes the Overnight Report. Renny's up and about (and has been for about an hour). She's had an omelette and done some studying of the memory wall... One of the DR voices spoke to her directly a little while ago to thank her for going to the storage room to check for batteries, but that they weren't there yet. I'll open a morning report in just a little bit.

Ok, I just finally caught up on the shows yesteray, I've been dragging this week hehehe! I am finally glad that they have a non-stereotypical gay man. I was so tired of seeing the nelly stereotype! Anyway, Renny gives all of us from Louisiana a bad name. Believe me, we all don't act like her. Out of all of them I like Memphis.

Do you think Steven knows whats going on?

Why would Jees want to waste his time getting Renny out of the house now. Plus, I want to see more of her Vintage clothing she has stored up for us. Im thinking something from Maude coming soon!
Then maybe something from Showgirls for the live show next week! :)

Great Job Venus!!! Loved the Barbies.

Okay, so is it mature for Jessie to just bow down to the bullies and do what they want? He is HOH, should put up who he wants, he will be put up soon because he has shown some strength in comps....IMHO

Morning All.

Morning :)

I have feed hangover, but I have to get something out that has been irking me.

Ignorance is not bliss, it's poison. We have addressed homophobia, sexism and racism, but I think it's time to take a good look at ageism. The comments I have heard coming out of some people's mouths last season and this one about older people, is actually disgusting.

BB9 it was about Sheila, and this season it's Renny and Jerry.

I like all three because they bring experience to the table and instead of some of these punks appreciating it, they make derogatory comments. It makes me sad.

Yes, Renny was annoying the first week, but there is an explanation and she has been an angel since. Cooking for them, making them cake, taking care of those who are crying.

Yes, Jerry is taking the military thing maybe too far, but he is proud of that and he has every right to be. I have seen some HGs dismiss his words as the ramblings of an old fool, but if they took some time out of their ignorance, they would recognize some words of wisdom.

Whatever. Sorry. I had to get this out. :)

Good Morning Carolyn!

Thanks for putting up the favorite houseguest poll. I'm really really surprised that Libra is the early leader. I don't think this will last though. It was hard to choose between Angie and Michelle, but at least my 2nd fave was everyone else's second.

I can't believe you were able to catch everything you did yesterday. If you keep having days like that it's going to be a looooonnng season. Thanks though :)

I love that Steven is asking for Xanax, I think we should start a total meltdown countdown.

Well I've done it again. Last season I found the one that I wanted to win and sure enough Sheila was the one everyone wanted out. This time the ones I like the best are on the out unless they can pull off a miracle. I like Angie, Keesha, Renny, and Dan. They are not constantly putting someone down. They are not gossiping about what everyone is doing. They are having fun and just having conversations about life.
I think Jessie is a punk. I little immature lying little weasle. His head does fit his body because his brain is smaller than a green pea.

So why is it that they all follow Memphis' direction but took exception when Brian tried to do it? And why is Memphis calling the shots? Did he win HoH?

My initial reaction to Memphis was that I didn't like him. When I saw him hanging out with the Fresh AIr Crew, I thought he was redeeming himself. Now he is the leader of the Inside SLammers? He is a smart one, that one. He knows who he can manipulate and who he can't.

Maybe I need more coffee... :)

Corey I so agree, Renny is not a typical Louisianaian. Unfortunately she is the typical idea of what America thinks of New Orleaneans, and that makes the rest of us look bad. I kinda like Memphis, but I wish he would have teemed up with Angie, Keesha, and Dan.

Good Morning Carolyn :)

Memphis needs to pull back a little and not get so caught up in the day to day rumor mill. He doesn't need to show strong feelings toward any of the houseguest. He can let everyone do his dirty work and not be singled out.

I was watching the feeds last night. I felt like the Jessie/Memphis/Michelle(or JaMeMi as I've been calling them)was pretty solid. I don't know if Angie is truly with them or not..I do know she has the power to blow their alliance out of the water to the rest of the house so they really need to at least make her believe she is with them.

I find it kinda sad that the 2 oldest houseguests aren't even seen as players to the rest of the house. Renny and Jerry are mostly dismissed by the younger people. I work full-time so I don't see much of the feeds but I haven't seen anyone talk game to Renny.

One thing we have to give them, these people are definitely gamers. I've seen some previous seasons where nothing is going on in the second week. It's already hard to keep up with who is with whom. I know it will probably change as the season goes on, but I see some solid alliances already.

I was hoping to see Jerry and Renny float along, then team up and wipe out some of those young shallow ones. Unfortunately, Jerry has chosen to latch on to the youngest and most shallow one already -- Jessie. I couldn't believe he promised Jessie last night that he would NEVER put him up.

Did you notice that Jessie did not make him the same promise and kind of chuckled when he left the room? Of course, Jerry still has his "angels." When he said that last night, that was the first time I'd hear mention of it.

I kind of like the sound of it, Jerry and his angels. Let's see what comes of it.

I agree with GenieSea regarding elders.

Although Renny is not my favorite – she is unique. To me she is dancing to her own drummer but more than that she seems to enjoy life. I feel the same about Jerry. Jerry is holding on to life, he reminds me of my dad. He rambles on and on and the HG roll their eyes, not paying any attention (as I once did to my dad – I so miss that).

These two seem to be caring people who enjoy life and doing something different. I say KUDOS to them!

Other thoughts. I don't remember when I saw it first but I like the terms Fresh Air crew and InSide Slammers are perfect.

Cris,

Renny and Jerry are in good positions this early in the game. They are counted on as votes for either side which is a strong position. (look what Shelia did last season) While everyone else is trying to get out strong players they will increasingly become stronger because they will be able to sway votes and remain loyal in everyones eyes.

In previous seasons, the older houseguest were eliminated early in the game. Renny's problem is that she has a big personality and it sometimes grate on peoples nerves. Jerry is seen as a sweet old guy that won't win competitions.

As we all know, jealousy will rear it's ugly head and every alliance will come crashing down.

Alice: Yes, I agree, it is like they took the most stereotypical New Orleans person and put her in the house. I guess I shouldn't be too ashamed since I am from Lafayette LOL.

Ok, I really don't like Jerry. At first I did but I don't understand his hatred of Steven other than he just doesn't like gay people. Maybe I am reading that wrong. If I was Steven and found out that Jerry had this prejudice I would so be queening it up a notch LOL

On that note, I thought Steven was not going to tell people that he was gay? Did I miss something in the report, what changed his mind?

I don't understand how people are irritated with Renny being possibly a little loud, but they aren't irritated with April's constant complaining and paranoia. After watching last nights BBAD I wanted to push the mute button on April. Do the people around her and in her alliance not see that SHE is the one about to have a meltdown...again!

And I wish Memphis would just hold back...i'd like to see him and Angie work together (for real...not sure about this alliance with Jessie and Michelle). I didn't like him at first, then I liked him, and now i'm not so sure because honestly I can't tell what he's doing...but he is sticking up for Angie from what I can see.

I agree with Keesha, but she needs to bring it down a bit.

I have to say I really like Renny...her and Angie at this point are my favorites. I have to give props to Dan because I think he's just being himself but for the rest of the men...they are acting like GIRLS!!!

I totally agree about the elders thing as well. On the flip-side, just because Jessie is 22 doesn't mean he hasn't learned alot about life. I'm only 26 and have dealt with a serious illness, the death of both sets of grandparents (within a 4 year period) and the death of my mother. I have also gone through a really tough financial situation.

We all live and learn everyday. Age is nothing but a number.

Jessie is immature but Renny shouldn't be calling him a baby either. They both need to grow up a little IMO.

Lauren, you make an excellent point. I didn't mean to imply that those who are younger do not bring something to the table. The problem is, that someone is dismissed simply because he/she is perceived as "old". Some people dismiss others because they are young.

I teach high school, and my students have taught me, and given me fresh insights. Ageism is mostly refered to prejudice against older people, but it can work both ways. I have known very mature young people and very immature older people. The point is. Give each person a chance and not prejudge them.

I was venting. Didn't mean to step on any toes. :)

genie -- thanks for putting my thoughts into such eloquent words.

I agree that a lot could be learned from experience and if you actually listen, there is some wisdom there. It's not just rampling.

Also, Jerry does have every right to be proud of his military service. And if that is what he wants to define who he is, what's so wrong with that?

Thanks again genie!

Genie, prejudice of ANY kind bothers me to know end. But, I am one of those who loves every kind of person and different experiences. I have learned from others, and it is only those that judge and think they are above others that I really have a problem with at times (something I deal with In-laws). I feel you learn from every one you encounter in life if you give them a chance.

Jessie is young and seems somewhat sheltered, maybe that is why he seems unable to look at the larger picture right now.

Angie and Memphis would be good team, but Memphis was a little mouthy last night. He might want to watch that around April/Libra...he may become a target just for voicing an opinion!

Totally agree about the 'elders'. It's kind of freaky... I am only 8 years shy of Renny's age... so I am getting close to be an elder I guess. Still feel like 29 and look like 39. ;-)

However, I am not surprised about the ageism... just look at media and the Presidential campaign. It seems that age is the one thing that is still OK to trash people about. Not cool at all. As for the house, I first wasn't too keen on Renny... she is growing on me by laying low. I also had Jerry as a favorite early on, but he has become a bit too fickle and follows the flock.

Also, why do Libra keep referring to Dan as a Mole and then Memphis - NADA. So many hypocrites already. Don't know if I can stick with this divisive season if there is no major shake up soon.

LOVED THE VENUS BARBIES!

Genie, I agree w/ you as far as Renny & Jerry but totally disagree in re to Sheila. I couldn't care less what her age was...what I cared about was that she was an itchba & not in the good meaning (yes, being one at times CAN be a good thing...). I've NO respect for her whatsoever. Someone just reaching a certain age (If I heard her say her age once I heard her say it 500 x's) does NOT mean that someone is ENTITLED to respect. To me respect is for those that DESERVE it via their DEEDS & WORDS not JUST b/c of their age. I'm still kinda on the fence in re to Renny on the whole. I've found that some of the comments directed toward Renny have been way out of line. As for Jerry, trust me, I understand that ONCE A MARINE, ALWAYS A MARINE (my late G-Father IS a Marine) but if he repeats the "Notice I don't have on anything military b/c..." I think I'll shall scream...he said it during the POV ceremony & for some reason felt the need to REPEAT it to Julie for the live broadcast EVEN THOUGH he had previously watched EVERY EPISODE of BB ever aired & should have realized that yes, his statement on that would've been aired already. I wish I could tell hem "I really like you Jerry BUT just please, please, please let up on it for it may not just annoy me but WILL annoy your fellow HGs & hurt your standing in the house."

Corey, Unless I've missed something (& I could've since I don't get live feeds & haven't read all the threads) but I've not seen/heard Jerry make any anti-gay remarks so please don't ass-u-me (notice the division of the word) he holds those types of opinions. When it comes to Dan, I don't believe for one second that he's changed his attitude toward gays...IMHO, he's just trying to make it look that way so him being anti-gay will not be held against him, I could be wrong but for now that's my opinion. Ppl giving him props for "sticking to his word" in not voting out Brian I see as silly b/c IMHO he REALLY was hoping Brian would stay & he knew that if he voted against Brian then that could be used as ammo against him for "going back" on his word & I figure he figured that voting to keep Brian would not actually cause any more damage/risk to his viability in the house so to vote to keep Brian was his only recourse. Plus, he graduated from MI State...I can't root for anybody from UM or MSU. :)- He may not have gone to UM but he IS from Dearborn, MI...too close to UM for my liking. :)-

BTW #1, I hope Steve goes b/c I refuse to root for someone that wears TX Longhorns items. :)- But seriously, the "colored" remark he made in re to Libra was so wrong. I DON'T LIKE HER, HOWEVER, it has NOTHING to do w/ her being black & everything to do w/ me seeing her as a control-freak. I think that in 2008 someone of Steve's age should know better (now if he were say 97 then MAYBE...). Also, being gay, he should be MORE aware of what is considered offensive language in regards to various groups. Yes, I know the "C" in "NAACP" stands for "colored" but IMHO HE MEANT IT AS A SLANDER as where the "C" in "NAACP" is NOT intended as such (but they should change it so others can't throw that up as an excuse to use it inappropriately, but they won't change it). And no Libra should NOT have repeated what he told her in private about him being gay, HOWEVER, did he NOT learn ANYTHING from previous seasons? (If you REALLY want to keep a secret STFU!!!)

BTW #2, Does anybody know why Brian was wearing OSU items? I ask b/c he didn't go there (his bio says he grad'd from the College of the Air Force), was not originally from OH (bio says CA) nor currently from OH (bio says CA). I couldn't stand him to begin w/ & then my dislike for him grew EACH time I saw him wearing OSU items (sacrilege & all ya know!).

BTW #2.2 I just found out Brian's last name...Wonder if Brian is any relation to Chelsia from BB9...fairly common last name...but just wondering...since I couldn't stand either one. :)- Plus it was distressing to me to see that he was in the USAF since I have several relatives currently & in the past being members of the USAF. I think he was an embarrassment to the USAF!

BTW #3 Should these ppl (Steve, Renny & Jerry) be drinking alcohol while on meds?

FYI, All of you worried about the rep of NO b/c of Renny...take solace in the fact that TECHNICALLY, she's not from NO but from Metairie...yes NOA but NOT NO. ; )
