the dynamics are all gonna change this week keesha reny and jerry seem to be the wild cards.
Jesse is setting himself up to be backed doored rather quickly, hes won every competition, jerry first vote i dont think was a competition.
Jessie's nomination suggestions is what I was thinking, Angie and Dan.
But I thought Jessie had a thing for Asian women and wouldn't put up Angie.
This is going to make for a good season because they are going to evict the "Brian broke down alliance" and turn on one another sooner.......YAY!

Well--y'all KNEW I couldn't keep my nose out of this season's doings...LOL
Here's my personal opinion rundown:
Ollie--cute guy, and realistic about the nature of what's going on in the house. He doesn't seem to be a strong player, though--he's a liar, but a really bad one.
April--Just awesome. My early favorite, I think.
Michelle--I just don't know what to think, other than that her tough-girl exterior is probably concealing a candy center.
Memphis--Hard to dislike so far. And quite handsome too. ;-)
Keesha--Appears to be a marshmallow, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Libra--Awesome Part Two. Another early favorite.
Jessie--Not TOTALLY unlikeable, but he will become so very, very soon if he doesn't start showing an ounce of maturity, especially as HOH--where is lack of wisdom could make for a horrific week. Also, young kids who spend half their time drinking creatine shakes while wearing string muscle shirts just kind of annoy the crap out of me, and tell me the boy does not just look vapid.
Dan--So far I find him not just obnoxious but repugnant. He really seems to believe himself to be morally and intellectually superior to everyone else in the house.
Angie--Not enough of an impression yet. Backing
Brian was dumb, but then she voted him out.
Steven--Too bad. I know everybody complains that he dips (tobacco), but I'm a gay man who dips, so I don't see what the issue is...LOL. But--and it's a really HUGE but--the "colored" comment turned me immediately against him. Gay men should KNOW BETTER, Steven, and being from the South is no excuse at all. How about you purge your bigotries and enter the 21st century? I have ZERO respect for bigots. And do lesbians just not audition? Maybe they wouldn't be such reliable jerks.
Renny--Loud and crazy. Just what I'd expect from a lifelong New Orleanian. She'll annoy the hell out of people, but she'll also be a lifesaver when people need some lighthearted devil-may-care attitude--IF they keep her around long enough.
Brian--Easily the best choice for eviction. Smug, narcissistic, and obnoxious--but manipulative enough to succeed anyway if they had not gotten rid of him. It's also great that Dan lost his secret lover.
All Memphis has to do is sit back and relax....
Let these dummies fight it out...

Don't get me wrong, I love the guy... especially the clip here where he starts talking about Steven not being able to shut the F up. Too bad CBS can't show that part to America. I agree that Jessie seems to have not watched reality tv before, he will surely have a giant target on his back before the week is up.

I love how they all just acknowledged the cameras outside. I hope we have more breaking the fourth wall this season, I felt completely ignored by most of last seasons houseguests.
I hate when there is a big group against the other. I guess that's why I always go for the underdog. I'm not liking Dan or Steven too much but I definitely am liking Angie so hopefully she can pull out that POV. GOOOO ANGIE! too bad it wasn't April or Libra going soon. BOO!

I hope once Steven or Dan are gone this week that Libra or April is next. Those two, along with Ollie, need to be taken down a notch as they really do come off now like they think they are running things and in no danger at all.

I KNOW! I don't get it either. Everyone should know better, but when you're a member of a minority who understands what it's like to be thought of as "less than" because of who you are, you REALLY should no better. The only explanation I can posit is that men like Steven need to feel that they are at least "better than" someone--and they therefore chose to be racists. Which is doubly damning, if you ask me. I don't tolerate such crap at all, but coming from a gay man it somehow seems worse. Ugh.
As for the dipping bit--no need to apologize, man! But I promise that I'm clean and neat and never ever a slob about it. Actually, after years of dipping Copenhagen, I switched to Swedish snus--which means no spitting, and none of the accessories associated with dipping. I know, I know--it's still gross. I've heard it before. LOL But I wanted you to at least know that I'm not a caveman. ;-)

I know the HOH has to make nominatins in less than 24 hours but right after the ceremony is not the time to be talking about it. I think the HOH should let their emotions settle a bit first. Maybe even sleep on their own thoughts before they talk to others about it.

Jesse--I cringed at the cheesy (and dumb, game-wise) "everyone who's served is a brother" BS. Just like I cringe at the "ohhhhh, look at the cuuuuute old man" comments and Jesse's own idea that he can't wear Marine clothing when he lies. If the mythical Honor of the Corps is that important to him, then why did he audition for a game of deceit and backstabbing? Subtract the extraneous stuff, and so far Jesse talks a good game (sometimes), but surely does not play one.

Angie is my fave and she is in jeopardy, simply because she allied herself with someone she liked and not someone who would further her in the game. It's part of the reason I like her so much.
I don't like Dan's views on women, but I have to take off my hat to him. He stuck by his principles and I respect that. Too bad the meathead who is H0H won't.
The fact that they are gunning for Steven, isn't bothering me. I won't be sorry to see him go frankly. There is so much ignorance I can take, joking or otherwise.

Anyhoo, got to say I tend to pull for the underdogs and I loved Brian and I am really liking Angie. She's just a down girl, as they say, and seems to be the type of person I'd hang out with.
I kind of like Keesha, too, but mostly because I do not like April and I take sides. :)
I can't help but like Memphis, and I really didn't want to. There's this Adam-like quality to him, he's like a really good-looking Adam, but I can't quite put my finger on why. Anyone else feel that and can add to it?
Steven, if he could stop with the small-mindedness, I would *love* him, but I have to just kinda like him from arm's length. I hope he sees this when he gets out and learns and grows from it.
I really didn't want to like Dan either, but I kinda do. Course he's been a bit quiet (smart), so we'll see if he opens up later. Darnit, my pre-show opinions never pan out, why do I form them?
Second case to the above point? Libra, thought I would love her...annnnd I don't. We share the same profession and political views, but my god I would be insane if I had to spend a work day with her.

I did not want to win HOH always wins it! Damn it! I really don't like Jessie and he's so predictable, of course he's gonna put dan and angie up with the intent of backdooring Steven. All over petty crap, cause he hated Brian while Angie, Dan, and steven liked Brian. How immature! He needs to break up April and Libra since they're the ones that swear they are running the house, especially libra. But the alliance between Ollie and April needs to get cut too cause Ollie's already proven he will sell out whoever for April, he can't be trusted and Jessie's listening to Ollie and going along with whatever he wants. I agree about Jerry, and I'm a "war" veteran too (Desert Storm, 1991, US Army).
I don't agree with making one's service the central and core issue of who someone is as a person. I think it's something that adds to our being, but being a veteran isn't the one and only key thing like Jerry seems to make it.

Just an observation on the HOH comp tonite. On the questions where April and Keesha were the answers, the other one (both of them) answered against the other.
To me, it looked like April wouldn't admit that the guys would rather see Keesha in a bikini (over Angie) and Keesha wouldn't admit that April would be a better fashion adviser than Renny (really now!).
Could just be me, but looked like they both blew the HOH just because their jealousy of each other got the best of them.
Really does remind me of high school and (sorry blondes) but makes me glad I'm a red head, even if it does come from a box.

Renny drives me crazy with the costume changes and that seems to be all she ever does. AND, to make it worse, everything is same style, just different colors. Once she gets booted I'll be on Renny watch to see when she actually makes it home so we may get a hint of if someone gets to go back in. i just don't like her. Maybe because she has jewelry that I want. I think she outbid me on eBay for that necklace she had on tonight.
Charlie, I'll be glad to become Jessie's personal GPS. I like em that way. Young and dumb and full of..... :x... I don't think he and Renny will ever reconcile. Maybe he will find the testicular fortitude to put her up this week no matter what the others want.

Whew, had to spew all the negatives out. I am trying to figure out who I like. I do love the diversity of people on the show. That is mixing things up quite a bit. I am leaning towards liking Angie. She is quiet and hanging back. I tend to respect that approach. Have to say, April's apparent eating disorder is freaking me out. Come on, putting on a sweater because she ate a cookie and now looks fat? Can't take that. I live in the Midwest. She is the skinniest person I have seen in a loooong time. I hope we don't have a repeat fainting episode like last season.

I was wondering about medication also. Which ones do they allow and don't allow? I wonder what problems they would not accept. What is Renny cooking? She kinda reminds me of me. It's 11 my time and I'm thinking of doing a banana pudding. What funny to me is Angie and Memphis are sitting on the counter like waiting to get the first taste. But I have to be in traffic court in the morning. I am protesting a ticket for no right turn that I was given on Friday the 13th (June).. The main sign wasn't even installed yet. Just a little one hidden by trees on the inside corner but way before the actual stop area of the intersection. The sign that was where it should be didn't go up until the next day. If I lose I may need to set up my own paypal for donations to get me out of jail. I'm broke!
Speaking of PayPal... Don't forget Carolyn has a tip jar that needs filling. I'll be making my first donation of the season in August.
Now, on Steven and his 'colored' comment. i'm not defendig him but I will defend him because of where he actually lived. Opelousas, LA is a small town in the heart of Cajun country. A wide vocabulary and political correctness is extremely lacking in that area. And as Tella said, there is still a very strong organization called the NAACP. I thought about that yesterday when I saw some policial news on CNN since the NAACP is holding their annual convention right now. Still, it would not be my choice of words, but I hear much worse around here.
Still not excusing him because I read Carolyn's blog that he has been anti-semetic too. There is no excuse for that. Was Steven also the one that said Oriental instead of Asian? I heard that the other night but didn't catch who it came from, I just know it was one of the guys.
So, I am off to bed with a couple of tylenol pm so I can be a day person tomorrow. If I don't post tomorrow, I'm being held in contempt of court for wearing stillettos and not shaving.
