Big Brother 12: Friday Morning, July 30th
The Feeds went to Bubbles at 7:15am BBT. Holy Early Wakey Wakey!!
At 7:25am BBT, after 3 wake up songs, we have HGs stirring on the live feeds. Brendon and Rachel are 1st up, downstairs in the kitchen.. Matt makes an appearance, then heads back to bed. Britney gets up, and she and Rachel have a chat in the storage room, while Lane's in the shower.

Rachel: Who do you think I should nominate with her? Hayden? I don't know who...
Britney: I think you should think about the votes.
Rachel: Do you think I'm coming off as mean?
Britney: No, last night was just crazy, all around... You've just got to protect yourself.
Rachel: I just feel like she's personally attacking me.
Britney: I understand, and I mean, you tried to apologize...
Rachel: And she's making this even a bigger deal, like giving me looks, then saying 'don't smirk at me!'
Britney: I know it's hard, but...
They continue on chatting, wondering why BB is having them get up so early... Lane's in the shower, and Brendon's making the preparations for breakfast. Rachel goes into the kitchen to join him.
Rachel: I wonder what our competition is... She said get ready like... (bubbles) I asked if I had time to meet with people, and she said (bubbles - Seriously skippy?)... I poured you a coffee.. I'll be right back down. Thanks for making breakfast.
OK.. So it sounds like the Comp (Luxury?) is first up on the agenda today, and that it's going to start pretty early!

Lane goes back to Jumanji and gets dressed before he quietly tells the people in there they ought to get up...

Jumanji comes to life... ish. They start groggily talking about the comp, and how BB is going to figure out a way to make even the luxury comp a punishment for them... Whoever loses has their car at home demolished or repo'd.
***So hoping they'll show part of the Luxury Comp on the feeds like they do sometimes!! :)
They're joking about more punishments... Instead of a unitard or a banana suit, they're gonna make Matt walk around dressed up as a giant tampon... It degenerates from there, and it's really funny.
Rachel comes in to tell them Brendon's fixing a gorgeous breakfast for all of them.. Happy campers.

Meanwhile in the Jumanji Room, on f3/4, Hayden, Lane and Matt are talking football... then they start talking about the possible prizes in Luxury Comps.
Matt: I hope we get to see a past contestant... or someone of some notoriety today.

Enzo: Man.. I'm tellin ya. I'm gonna win something in that comp today. When you're a have not, you start feelin' beat.. mentally.
Brendon: I could've dealt with it, if it was just the food, but the lack of sleep on that bed...

Matt: I'd be cool with a comedy. Just no romantic sh*t. Chick flics suck.

Brendon: Please help yourself to some coffee, if you like. I made plenty of everything.

Britney enters and tells them she's having fun trapping Lane, and that's going to be her new goal for the week: Trap Lane in a room alone with Brendon as often as possible, so he can't be the one to escape.
8:55am BBT - Lane joins them in Jumanji.
Britney: I think they're gonna give us outfits and it's gonna be a really messy challenge.
Lane: Why would you think that?
Britney thinks it'll be the comp where you get to steal the prize from the person who went before you... They discuss what the prizes will be... Money, Big Screen TVs, the Unitard, a scene in a soap opera, Trips, etc... Enzo goes on a riff about how he's on a different level in this house.. Fun stuff.

Brendon's showing her how to use the Spy Screen... and talking to her about being more social and being the adult in the situation between her and Kristen.
Rachel: I'm fighting so hard, my head hurts. I feel like I'm getting an ulcer and a blood vessel... and I feel like you don't get it. There's nothing we can do to make the target on us any smaller.
Brendon: Yes there is. I was down there yesterday.. Enzo's on our side... He was like, They called me ignorant? We have a chance to win ourselves another week, in the event I don't win HoH next week. If we play our cards right, we have a chance to buy ourselves more time. If you are the bigger person, then we have a chance. When you walked up to Kristen, Britney was watching you the whole time, and yeah, you think she's your friend, but they're all watching you... People do not play logically in this game. They play personally. If you really are struggling to be nice to Kristen, then stay away from her. We shouldn't be worried about being targets while you're HoH.. Matt played his cards right. That's why he's not worried this week... And God forbid there is a Coup d'Etat... they throw us up.
Rachel: Brendon, what game are you playing?
Brendon: No matter what, if your social game isn't up to par.. You have to let it go. You can't let your emotions dominate your game play. Right now your emotions are front and center.
Rachel: I'm playing like I should've been playing from the start.
Brendon: No. We' need to make friends in this house.
Rachel: Then go make friends!
She rolls over...
He gets down there with her, and tries to make her understand he's doing this for them and trying to be her partner...
Brendon: Rachel Rachel...
Rachel: You're not even on my side!
Brendon: I'm always on your side. I'm always on your side!
Rachel's not buying it. She's fuming! This is intensifying... Spark up the feeds, folks!!!

Rachel: I just fight so hard, and I feel like everyone's against me.. And I feel like the more I fight (to stay here), the more people hate me.
Ragan: Why do you feel like people hate you?
Rachel: Brendon's like, this is a social game and this is what you have to do.. I'm like, don't tell me what to do. I'm fighting so hard to keep us here.
Ragan: Rachel.. even the conversation last night.. it's not about berating you, it's about trying to get you on the right track...
Rachel: I feel like Brendon, who's supposed to be my best friend, isn't sticking up for me... He's like be nice be nice be nice...
Ragan: He is sticking up for you. It's not the same in here as in the real world... The nicer you are, the more gracious you are and the more positive you are, the better for you. Like I was saying yesterday, do you allow yourself to fall down a rabbit hole...
Rachel: (crying) I'm not like this outside.. I'm happy, positive... I just feel like, if I don't win these things, the people I care about are gonna get taken out... I'm trying. I'm trying really hard. I even told Kristen I wanna talk to her... It's just so hard, Ragan. I should be excited that I won. I should be able to share these moments with people I care about.
Ragan: Have you talked to Kristen?
Rachel: I've tried. I've tried to apologize to her. She wont talk to me.
Ragan advises Rachel to really be a cheerleader for everyone in the comp today. Rachel is feeling very hurt by Brendon at the moment... She wants him to be her cheerleader right now...
Rachel: I feel like I've been pushed.. and my back's against the wall.. and I'm fighting so the people I care about are safe... and I feel like I'm becoming a villain.
Ragan: I don't think you're becoming a villain.. A lot of this has more to do with how men and women communicate... You just need to get it off your chest and cry and purge... And Brendon is thinking like it's an equation.. You're talking 2 completely different languages right now. It's not right or wrong, it's just 2 different ways of communicating.
This is ongoing... Ragan's helping...
Rachel: I went through so many emotions yesterday...
Ragan: You had a competition orgasm.
Rachel: Right!
Ragan: I think this comp today is gonna be really good for everyone, because it's gonna give a chance to support each other..
9:36am BBT - BRB Screen - Feeds back 2 minutes later...
Rachel and Ragan's conversation up in HoH continues on Feeds 1 and 2.. He's now moved on to advising her how to speak to Kristen - completely calm and without accusations. Ragan's gotten her out of her funk. He's using Housewives of NY for his metaphor, explaining why everyone was on team Bethany - because she's all about moving on and not getting mired in accusations and drama.
Down in Jumanji, we have social game, aka friendly chatter.

Matt: Have you guys been summoned yet? (to HoH)
Britney: The only person I saw go up there was Ragan.
Enzo: I just wanna go and get it over with.
Matt: It's like going to the doctor.

Ragan: It has to be fun.
Rachel: I agree. I'm totally having fun.
Ragan: It's the experience. Even me, last week, I totally got lost in it... It was so demoralizing. I even said in the Diary Room... Nobody's above it. We're all having these moments in the game for very complex reasons, where it's like, I'm at the end of my rope... But the more fun you can have with it..
Rachel: The better off you are... Ragan, you're the best. What would I do without you in this house?
Brendon: What would *I* do with out you?
Ragan brings up BB11 Michele, and how hard it was on her last season, with absolutely no one to turn to all season long.. Absolutely no one who truly had her back... Or Ronnie.. who his up in his HoH...
Rachel: I know. I feel very blessed that I have you and Brendon in this game. I respect you so much...
Brendon: I feel like a dummy in this game... I'm learning so much from the two of you.
Ragan: But it's not even about Big Brother knowledge, becaus ebig fans tend not to do very well..
Brendon: Because they base their game on someone else...
Ragan: This is what I would do now. I would wait to speak to Matt for a while... If I'm up here, then Matt... Any distance you can create in perception is good.
Brendon: You don't want anyone to know what's going on in your head. Be ambiguous.. Let them worry..
Ragan: Right.. Like if I were you, I might talk to someone like Hayden next... Because then one of the people who was in the thick of it yesterday, you take care of right away...
Rachel: I asked them this morning if I should start calling people up, and they said no, because the competition was gonna be really soon.
In the meantime, they've been up 3 hours already, and no comp yet, so Ragan goes to get Hayden for Rachel...

As soon as Ragan leaves, Rachel heads into the bathroom... Brendon follows... She's still a little testy with him, but much warmer than this morning...

Hayden enters HoH... They let him know that he's not a target and make amends. Hayden tells them that no matter what anyone tells them, every single person in the house was gunning for them, top to bottom.
Hayden: Anybody who tells you they wouldn't have, they are lying to you.
Hayden apologizes for blowing up yesterday, and Brendon tells him, Water under the bridge...
Hayden: I like Kristen. I don't agree with how she's handled the situation. I wont isolate her..
Rachel: I would never expect you to...
Brendon: I have nothing but respect for you in doing that. You're a good guy, and that's what a good guy does.
Rachel: I want you to know that I did try to apologize to her..
Hayden: I was in there when you did..
Rachel: And I did ask her to come talk to me later today... Most of us are here and fighting and legitimately competing.. We're fighting because we wanna be here, and when that's the case, you're *pissed* when you lose..
Talk turns to potential jury house members. Hayden says he wants both of them in the jury house, because they're rational players. Safe to say, since they're both shoe-ins.
Hayden: True. Who else do I want in the jury house? I love Enzo, definitely. Matt, Lane.. For me, Kristen in the jury house..
Brendon: For us, we have to make sure that whoever we keep in this house and don't put up as a nominee isn't gonna screw us over next week and put us up.
Hayden: Who do you feel is that person?
Brendon: We don't know...
Rachel: Honestly, I trust you Hayden.. I feel like, if you don't go up, you'll (return the favor and keep us off the block). With Kristen.. I don't know what happened.. We were good friends...
Hayden says he heard that, not Rachel, but Brendon was targeting him and Kristen, or him and Lane, or him and Enzo... Rachel asks Hayden if he'd feel comfortable telling her who said that, because it's a lie, and it's worse, in trying to break up their friendship.
Hayden: The guy I heard it from said that there was a strong couple that fell off during the endurance competition, and that you were gonna put them up.. and that's me and Kristen... Did you never say you were gonna put us up?
Brendon and Rachel both deny it. Enzo's name comes up as having had idle chatter in the Have Not room about it, while griping about no food and being uncomfortable...
Brendon: Nothing you say to us will be linked back to you.
Hayden: Next time I hear anything like this, I'm coming straight to you.
The Hayden HoH conference continues... They all keep dancing around the topic of naming names.
10:45am BB Calls Rachel to the DR. She gets up to go, hoping this means the comp is now. Talk between Brendon and Hayden. Brendon swears to G-d that he never said he was targeting him and Kristen to anyone.
Brendon: I know you got your honor, and I respect that, but if it's gonna get you farther in the game, and it's gonna get me farther in the game, then f''k the honor, because it's obviously someone trying to pit us against each other, so we just go at each other for 2 or 3 rounds...
Matt's name comes up as a potential for trying to pit them against each other, while keeping himself safe from them...
Hayden: So you didn't say anything to him?
Brendon: So it was Matt... You don't have to say anything more. I know how to set personal aside and get down to business. If Matt's playing that game, then he's back to his old ways... I trust you. Kristen I don't trust.
Hayden: I know..
***Kristen told Rachel flat out that she was targeting the two of them as early as last week.
Hayden: This person said to me, "I heard Brendon and Rachel are going to put up a strong couple, and to me that says you and Kristen... "
Talk turns to Britney, and how she's seriously growing on both of them... Then spins back to "strong couple" or mentioning names...
Brendon: I never... especially to f'ing Matt. As thankful as we are, we still don't f'in trust him. We owe him a week for last week, but it rolls around.
Hayden: I believe you.
Brendon makes a lot more headway with Hayden alone. It's centering around Matt now. Brendon compliments Matt for his stellar game play, even as they came down on the hard end of it... Brendon promises nothing will get back to Matt.
Hayden: I never even said his name.
Brendon: You never even said his name. Absolutely. He's a dangerous player in the game. It's Rachel's decision. He's very dangerous... It's one thing to have someone you can't trust... It's another to think you can, and then he stabs you in the back.
Brendon says he wont tell Rachel about this til after she's spoken to Matt, so it doesn't effect her. Hayden says to see who he throws under the bus...
Hayden: I mean, I know what's gonna happen.. especially after yesterday.. I bet everyone throws us under the bus.
Brendon: Absolutely.. and it's better for us.. People think we're all pissed off at you...

I like Kathy! I know everyone on here hates her and thinks she sucks up to whoever has the power that week. So? Everyone in the house is nicer to the person that is HOH than they are when they are not in power. Everyone!
I like the way Kathy is nice to everyone and I think she is probably very nice and motherly to people that she meets in real life, too.
I like Kristin too. She does not pretend to like someone and then turn around and talk crap about them. Okay, she is immature.
I dislike Rachel – a lot! She overcompensates for her personal insecurities by always trying to draw attention to herself. She has a me.me.me. complex. She is very critical of others that do not share her opinions. She is very insecure and very petty.
Brendon is exactly the type of boyfriend that would drive me crazy. Constantly wants to be by your side; always staring at you; saying “I love you” on TV after only a couple of weeks. Remembering when I was first dating my husband, I knew I loved the person that I was getting to know but at such an early stage, I didn’t know if I would love him forever. Not that soon.
Floater! What is a floater? Someone that does not win competitions? Someone that is friendly with winners of competitions? Everyone has different strengths; muscles, brains, personally. I don’t see how you can go through this game and not be considered a true competitor.
Okay, I’ll go back to just reading and leave the commenting to everyone else.

Nominations may be somewhat predictable but as we all know, the outcome isn't always predictable. If Kristin is nominated I'd say(given past history) the chances of her winning POV is at least 80 to 90%. This could be the week Kathy goes.
Johnny, I just wanted someone totally new and unexpected to wear the crown this week. But they all seemed to throw it, it was a really weird comp last nite. But you're right about predictibility, none of them seem to have the cajones to play hard.

Everyone nows I am suspect of everything AGP does. Does anyone else think AGP decided on this comp as a last minute skirmish to take some heat off Kristen? I do.
What time did they start building? Did they have enough time to make the decision after the bruhaha that went on after Andrew exited?
That may not be manipulation, but it would be in my mind.
Maybe the comp will be for next week's Have Nots. Let them stew over it for a week. Even better if it would be for Have Nots the rest of the season. I'm evil that way and would hope Enzo is one of them.

Hey Piper, I didn't think Kathy was sucking up to Rachael. Just thought she was being nice, but not up her butt. She was still with Kristen last night just like she was all week and I kind of hope she stays that way and doesn't start sucking up.

My opinion...all might be best to hold little close to vest with this group right now. This is very intelligent group and the play is very different and even though they say not, I think emotional.

I would have liked to see Britney win the HOH because I think we should would have put up either Brendon or Rachel and Kristen.

I just watched the infamous 'smirk' flashback. I chose the camera angle that stayed on Kristin because in my opinion it always looks like Rachel is smirking.
Regardless of all the drama I am still siding with Kristin in most of the events that have transpired over the last 24 hours. Perfect-no. As petty and catty as the other girls in the house-yes, she definitely can be. But I still feel she was a victim of poor sportsmanship and Andrew being a sore loser.
I personally find it a little hypocritical that Andrew left the house wanting to help his good friends Brendon and Rachel when he so obviously did not like or respect Rachel at all. Making it a point to hurt Enzo and Britney by saying that Kristin insulted their intelligence. Andrew called Rachel an idiot more than once. I believe he had similar sentiments about Kathy and Britney.
I'm just wondering, since so many people have been on team Brenchel because they like to pull for the underdogs, will they be switching sides now? I mean, we obviously have a new underdog in the house now.
Gaytor, how did that take heat off Kristen? If anything manipulation is toward B/R. And that I don't understand when most sites really don't care for this showmance. This is just my opinion.
In the interview yesterday I found it very strange that AGP protested so much about manipulating the game. I don't think they do, but do think they say things in DR or they would release those whole things. JMO If not, why not let us see all DR sessions?
Goodmorning Carolyn and all the dishers :) I'm wondering if Kristin has cooled enough to try and change Rachaels mind. Even Rachel offering to talk with her again this morning and Kristen not shooting her down makes me wonder if Rachel is possibly still open to a "showmance" alliance?

My problem with Rachel is this. Yes she is very good with competitions, very smart woman, however her stratagy bites. What she said to Andrew in her goodbye message says a lot, instead of playing the game she is into her showmance. She ought to be greatful someone wanted to be in an alliance with her and Brenden. Power in numbers, but isolating themselves may cost them the game and make a bigger target in them if that is possible.
I feel a very long day coming on. Poor Carolyn, and later, Genie. I'm same-day Fed-Ex'ing cases of fingers to both, and a 100 lb block of ice to Carolyn.
It's going to be a long one here too, and sadly, I have no show this week or I would Tweet Jeff about coming to a show.
I sure hope we don't have another power outage today. Not sure I could take 2 in a row. THI is already 95° and it's not even 11:00 AM my time. Yesterday's outage was a really big one, but I found out the cause.
It was a reverse drive-by shooting. Someone (now arrested) shot into a passing truck, hitting all three people. 2 blocks later the driver lost control, probably passed out from blood loss and hit a major light pole. One of the three was killed. It wasn't even close to our neighborhood but knocked out everything on our side of the Quarter. UGH. Summer is definitely here. It happens all year round but in the summer it gets worse.

Grendon, I agree with you totally. I think all the girls have been very catty. The attack on Kristen was very unwarrented and everyone seems so very happy about it forgetting that her family and tv viewers heard that attack. I thought it was not really cool either when it could have been done in the house when not so desperate.
Rachael has been very catty with Britney and mean spirited against others. Think the difference was that Kristen said she wasn't sorry, she meant she was coming after B/R and think that she was standing up for herself. I am with you.
Also, I see a lot of things in Brendon that most in here do not. But will not go into that. As long as things go his way, he is happy camper, but just wait till someone goes against him or flashback to him 'telling' Rachael to trust him. Kind of strange in my opinion. I think the two of them need to play apart, makes them strange or odd players, almost obssessed.

Because I was wondering if the show truly represents life in "the big easy", as well as how life was after Katrina? I was shocked at the end with John Goodman aka Dan Connor, because I really like him. I was in New Orleans once along time ago and the only thing I remember is Bourbon Street and all the irongates and iron work. I love that stuff....

Besides both kitties not well, my Aunt passed away (she was 101). The wake is tonight.
Most of you know I was raised jewish- my mother coverted to judism. Her Mom & Dad & family all came over from Sicily, so they still continued to practice the Catholic faith- hence the wake and if anyone is wondering why we're having one.
Boy that Kristen is one nasty bee-atch. I knew there was something off with her. She is behaving like such a brat. Won't accept Rachel's apology? And why should Rachel have even apologized in the first place? Kristen should have apologized first and tried to smooth things over. But just like with Andrew she has such a bad at-ti-tude. Its her way or no way. If she doesn't get what she wants, how she wants it she doesn't want to play at all.

Andrew - I was really sad for him this week, and my heart went out to him. I liked him, and was sorry to see his pain all week long. That had to have been miserable for him. I know how it feels to be ostricized and left out, and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy!
Kristen - I have been shocked at how horrible Kristen has been. I hope and pray that these houseguests will see that it isn't Rachel or Andrew at all that has been spewing this venom. Rachel needs to get her reactions under control and let Kristen self-destruct all on her own, but don't know if her emotions will allow that to happen or not. So far, it hasn't .. lol
Ragan - I am at a loss on him as well. I was seriously in love with him for a solid 2 1/2 weeks, but not so much right now. Everyone complains about people changing with the power, but hasn't he been doing exactly the same thing?? Yes, it has been with advice on how to handle the situations, but still, it's the same thing. I think I have officially jumped off the Ragan-fan bandwagon. Not sure whose side I'm flopping to now, just not him.
I know that mostly ev1 is not a huge Brenchal fan, but I am really happy that she won HoH this week. I have to admire them for how hard they are having to work to stay in the house. Mostly ev1 else is flying by unnoticed, but not those two. They are having to fight tooth and nail to stay there, and like them or not, one has to be impressed.

I didn't know about the funeral for Captain Phil. I'm assuming it was a Jazz Funeral. New Orleans celebrates everything with a parade and dancing. There is, of course, sadness, but it's a tradition that everyone joins in along the way and does a second line dance to celebrate the life, not the death.
We've always lived in the inner city. Neither of us could be suburbanites. We have to be as close as we can get to all the action.
LScott, I love La Cage. Was it the Broadway Musical? I actually do "A Little More Mascara" in my shows occasionally. I love that it has my stage name in it. "ZsaZsa is Here!!!" When I first started doing it some thought I was singing live.

After Rachel won HOH last night I have to admit that I was not that thrilled....going through my mind..."great, another week of Rachel and her man vs the world!" ughh!
Now after catching up on the morning report all I can say to Rachel is grow up!
She is playing too many games at a time here. One is the game of BB, another is cat and mouse with Kristen and the final one, which pisses me off the most, is the manipulative mind games she has going with Brendon!
She is trying to use the game as her excuse, but when she starts twisting everything around and asks Brendon what game he is playing, I would hope that he would get a hint of her true personality!
Right there was a glimmer of her true self and I would hope that he can see it! She is acting like a spoiled little girl who is upset that "her man" isn't in total agreement with her. ***note to Rachel, who seems to love giving relationship advice...take it from someone who has been married for 12 years, in every relationship there is give and take. You also have to accept the fact that there will be times when you will not see eye to eye, this is when your relationship will show it's true colors! you should be able to say to yourself that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and that you can appreciate someone for having their's, not complain and nag them for not being on your side!***
I'm sorry, but I would think at the end of the day, everyone, Brendon included, are there to win the game of BB! Hopefully Brendon can keep the 2 games seperate and not let Rachel ruin it for him!

The thing with Brendon and Rachel is that they are both extremely needy and insecure people. I think it's pretty obvious they won't make it outside the house. I believe the only reason they are still a couple is because they are trapped in the house together. Outside the house, one or the other would have walked away by now.
As I sit here watching Rachel cry to Ragan about the situation I fight against the feeling that she is in some way faking it...or maybe not faking but that her emotions are more self pity so it comes across as insincere. The argument with Brendon...they are both right and wrong. She does need to be a bit nicer to people but I agree with her that nothing she does now will lessen the target that is on her back. Rachel attempting to be real nice will be met with suspicion and disbelief. It is what it is.

Literally speaking, Rachel can't seem to remember that she needs to wear pants with her shirts.

I think there are a lot of similarities with Kathy and Ragan. They both want to avoid getting dirt on their hands but at their bottom core level they have a protective nature so don't sit by idly and watch a person be in pain and walk away.
Kathy voting for Monet is an example of that human side. Her staying with Kristen rather than sucking up non stop in HOH with Rachel is another. She could have been more supportive to Andrew. I still don't like her backstabbing and lying but I have never seen a BB HG not lie and backstab, lol.
I have no sympathy for Kristen based on her treatment of Andrew. The accusations of sex on live tv aren't necessary and if Hayden were older and a gentle man he might have fessed up to making out with Kristen (I mean the showmance was out so why deny it) but deny the sex same as Brenchel deny it.
He would still have been safe because the Brogade is still secret. I never liked Kristen, something about her just never stuck with me and now I think she is showing her personality. Her earlier game play was to stay under the radar and she was effective, without that cover she is scrambling.

My grandmother will be 90 in November. Last Thursday her friend called and said she was losing it. She couldn't remember anything. But she was still with it enough to argue.
Her friend didn't want to take her to the hospital because she didn't want to go and he didn't want to make her mad. My husband and I jumped in the car and called an ambulance on the way to her house. Turns out she was having mini strokes.
I know it's time to start preparing for the inevitable. She has always been so independant that the idea of a nursing home is the last thing in the world I want to consider. And the idea of a major stroke with her spending her last days in a hospital sickens me.
I pray that she is lucky enough to pass away in her sleep. She is a great lady.
I didn't mean to make this about me. You have my deepest sympathy for your loss and I am happy that it was a peaceful ending.

I think they ask them leading questions and also ask them to consider both sides of the coin: that way for editing purposes they can take what someone says as a hypothetical in the DR and put it on the show to make things seem like they will come out opposite of what the at home audience expects... even if it is not what the houseguest in the DR was actually going to do. And if the leading questions just HAPPEN to influence someone's decision and do what AGP wants, well that would just be an incidental coincidence... al the HGs are free to do as they please. Also, I think the reason the DR stuff is private is (1) they don't want to HGs to know what is said in there so paranoia and uncertainty runs rampant in the house and (2) they want the at home audience to have SOMETHING to make them tune into the show.
Also, even if AGP does make competitions "geared towards certain houseguests" it isn't like they do anything to actually disadvantage certain houseguests or anything. Even if they did a HOH where you had to know house events because Rachel has been studying them like crazy, every HG still had the opportunity to study for house events and everyone had equal opportunity to win the comp. Besides, there are always questions about the house and the competitions. The question Hayden was eliminated on was the HOH he won... so one could argue that it was geared towards him...
Basically I think that AGP is gonna get crap about manipulating the game no matter what they do, and just in the way you have to run the house (getting footage from the diary room, asking them questions, having competitions that will arguably favor ANY houseguest depending on what it is, etc)...
I'm taking a wild guess that this comp today may be for a movie that premieres today. I know they usually get a sneak peek preview movie but this one makes sense.

Jennifer: being away from the big group has its advantages as well... big alliances eventually turn on one another and since Rachel and Brendon are together, they would be first targeted once the alliance turns on eachother. Further, if you are targeted early on in a small alliance, then the big alliance eventually gets suspicious of one another and once someone betrays them, they are much bigger of a target than the original targets... If B and R can just make it untilt he Brigade implodes, I think they will be sitting pretty.
Also, because B and R were nominated first, they had the cards stacked against them from the beginning anyway.

I think the reason she is getting mad at some of the stuff he does is because in the end (as far as the game goes) she has to do what is best for HER and not THEM. How is Rachel on any bigger of a power trip than Matt was? I actually don't think Rachel is power hungry... I just think last night when she said "I have this key around my neck so I get to nominate people" it was her way of telling Kristen, "every single person in this house is after me so I could literally nominate ANY person but can only do two... are you really being so dumb as to give me a reason to make you one of those 2?"

I can agree with you on the fact that she is getting upset BB game wise, but she is twisiting it all together. She is totally plaing the manipulative girlfriend card too!
She reminds me of a girl who is pissed because her boyfriend has decided to hang out with his buddies for awhile, when she wanted him to come over and watch her paint her toenails!
It's all about give and take, and to remember that you can't have it both ways.

Heh OK Hayden is just letting them talk and "assume". Smart on his part. Brendon and Rachel are gonna make assumptions from this convo and Hayden can honestly deny ever saying anything when it comes out. And you know any time something will "never leave this room" it's gonna be all over the house within a day or 2.

I realize she's 101, well, gulp, was 101 and she did have a wonderful life.
My Dad's Mom just turned 94 (or is it 95?) geez am I losing it. And I see her every week, make her dinner, laundry, grocery shlepping - I mean shopping (hee hee) at 18 different stores because heaven forbid I pay 3 cents more for something at a different store...OY!! then I make something special for dinner for her that she can have for a few days.

What I find so distasteful about Kathy's behavior is she's a sycophant. I find it astonishing that her "friends" don't catch on to that. She can't possibly be like that in real life, she's a cop. That's the antithesis of cop mentality. Even Ragan is snowed. I suppose in BB land that means she is playing a good game.
Aimee, yes I'm very close to Westchase, in the Alief area. We moved here 3 years ago from Dallas and knew nothing about Houston, where to go, where the best schools are, anything. So far, so good! If we had lots of money, I really love the Memorial area, but we're talking ya gotta be very wealthy.
Since Rachel and Brendon had Matt's game figured out even before he played it, I have a glimmer of hope.
They want to nominate floaters and people they know they can't trust. Maybe they will put Kristin and Matt on the block. Kristin wins POV and Kathy gets put up as renom.
I wouldn't care who went home. I don't hate Kathy, just don't love her. It would be nice if Matt wasn't in jury house to use his powers of persuasion on other people. Also, Ragan would be forced to start playing the game on his own which might be a good thing since we know he can't trust Matt. The plus side to Matt staying-next time he wins HOH he would definitely have to put Rachel and Brendon on the block. Otherwise, the brogade might drop kick him over the outside wall and he won't have to worry about being evicted.
So I was just wondering if Rachel just has a "canned" exit speech for everyone. If Kathy had been evicted would she have said something about getting in between her and her man? It seems like she has said that on all of them.
I agree with Piper about Brendon. To me he seems too sensitive, clingy & kinda creepy about it.
Hayden is playing a smarter game than I thought he would week one.

I agree about Hayden being smarter than I thought he would be. He seems to have the social aspect of the game down as he hasn't really made any enemies.
I don't know if he technically threw Matt under the bus, but I don't blame him if he did. Rule #1-Take the target off yourself and plant it firmly on someone else. If you can do that by arousing suspicion without actually lying or being mean-all the better.
Also, I am quite sure that Lane and Hayden knew Matt was up to something when he was HOH. His nominations went against everything he said he would do and his twisted logic really didn't seem to fool them. I think they figured out that Matt was doing some double-dealing. (I love Enzo, but he can't figure out where his hat is most of the time so I think he might still be in the dark.)
Maybe when Genie comes in we can play a waiting game.
Have we done a "Throw off a Cliff" game this year?

@piper We are watching 2 different shows. Kathy hides her hate with, this is between me and you. She bad mouths everyone at some point, typical policeperson. Kirsten is maybe, if more spoiled than Britney and I din't think that was possilble. As the game progresses, I find myself liking Brit more and Kirsten less. Kirsten tells you what benefit's her and that is the only acceptable game. The one thing I admire about Ragan is that he plays the game for himself in the end. BB is like chess, you sometimes sacrafice the rook and take a chance to win the game.
Bren and Rachal may be annoying with all the showmance and "don't get between my man talk, but she is playing and thinking. It shouldn't be personal it is a game.
Matt made the boldest move in BB history. He must have read the art of war. "keep you friends close, buy your enemies closer". Keep the targets in the house and the target will be off you. Everyone in the house is gunning at Rach and Bren, why bother. Let them do the dirty work. He knew they were strong players and used that to his advantage. I am impressed without the blogs and feeds, that Rach is seeing it. How Raegan is getting fooled will be his downfall. Matt playing dangerous, but WOW. I am impressed. I can't stand him, but he understands BB and that it is like chess. You have to play several moves ahead and plan on worst case scenerio. Gets out Andrew and to be honest other than Bren, nobody cares.
HAHA Grendon re: Enzo. So true. Lane is a close 2nd but I think he may be laying low and know a lot more than he pretends.

Johnny: I have to admit, I haven't been watching much this week so far because of my ethics exam but I was just assuming she was acting the same as her first HOH week when everyone thought she was on a power trip... so if she is acting differently than that week I will have to take a look and see what I think.
I'm bitchin' about Caro taking a break and I've decided I'm about to do it instead. I've been up almost as long as she has and I'm exhausted just commenting and being a smartass.
This Comp time gives me time to get comfy, find some food, and watch AMC that is waiting for me on the DVR.

Shelia: thats exactly my point... she seems that way because she is upset about household stuff and she wants to keep him away so he doesn't mess up their game... in the real world she seems like the type that wouldn't care... I see what you are saying because she talks about "her man" but I really think that is just colloquial... if I had a dollar for every time I have heard someone say "No one is gonna come between my man" or something similar out of context, I'd have more money than this seasons BB winner...

I really like Lane. He is one of my favorites. But I don't have him completely pegged. I think he is smarter than people realize, but I don't know if he has a real strategy.
Sometimes I think we will see the gamer come out when he needs to play. Other times I worry he has such a 'lay low' personality that he will ultimately get pegged as a floater.
When some of the gametalk revolving around the eruption known as Andrew was taking place, they kept showing close ups of Lane's face. I could almost see the wheels turning in his head. I have high hopes that he will impress us all. (Especially since it's been slim pickings for a favorite player this year.)
