BB12: Thursday Morning - Finally!

HAPPY LIVE EVICTION DAY!
I, for one, am looking forward to tonight and the game reset on the live feeds! But we have the day to get through before that happens!
To get you caught up:
- Though most of the house guests, believe that Rachel is the saboteur and might be wielding some wizarding power, they are planning on evicting her while giving Brendon the misinformation that he will be the one to go, to throw him off before the HoH competition.
- Speaking of the HoH Competition, they've been on Lock Down since yesterday morning and there have been a lot of building noises, which seriously contradicts the HG's feeling that it will be a Question/Answer competition.
- The Brigade has spent as much time strategizing as they could wherever they could, given that Ragan and Britney have taken over the HoH room. The growing sentiment among the Brigade members is that Brendon winning HoH and getting rid of Britney or Ragan would be the best case scenario. Of course, this isn't written in stone, but the fact that Brendon is falling in priority on their target list is interesting.
- The Diamond Power of Veto is still in play for the coming week, which has given Matt the security to entertain any scenario.
- Enzo and Hayden have been discussing on and off about giving Brendon a heads up about him staying over Rachel before the Live Show, as a way to secure the Brigade's safety should Brendon win HoH, and to no doubt garner Jury votes for themselves.

I'm really curious about this HoH comp tonight. With the long lockdown, and all the building the HG's have been commenting on....it's got to be more than just a simple Q&A format.
Perhaps AGP finally came up with a brand new competition.
I think Rachel and Brittany are very good at this game...I do not like Brittany, her mouth is just to awful for me..Regan as sab is a joke and the rest of them are just floating by..Matt is starting to play better, finally. But Rachel and Brit are still the best..IMO
One more thing on Brittany..if she would stop with the disgusting remarks, she would be the perfect player..backstabbing, lying, and playing both sides. She needs to get away from Regan..
Can the Diamond Veto be used at the veto ceremony only or at the live eviction as well?

My take on tonight's HoH Comp.
It's going to be endurance, supported by the long lockdown.
Someone hit on it last night as to what type I think will be the type. It's definitely time for a coordination comp. Since AGP hasn't given us any new (as in never done in past seasons), I don't see it being a new one tonight.
It's going to be something like the hot chocolate and marhsmallow comp from last year. A lot of fast movement back and forth to fill a bowl then get something out of it. The floor will be very slippery to make it coordination.
BB listens to all the jedi training and they aren't going to go with what any HG group is practicing for unless AGP gives them a mock-up to play with first. I don't care what AGP says about all the comps planning start as soon as each season is over, and the order in which they are going to be played. She can change it up on a whim.
The one thing she has done in the sense that things will be different this season is that there have been more endurance comps already. Well, 53 minutes isn't endurance. I take more time than that for just foreplay.
Brendon and Rachael were the only ones half way practicing for that when they were doing 'drop the can' last night. I know that was a comp last or a few seasons ago.
In the line of thought that comps are geared to a certain person to win, and I believe it's true, I think AGP is hoping for a Brendon win on this one. If it's something to do with moving quickly then his marathons are playing into that. Of course his clumsiness plays against a slippery twist, or does it? Marthons are run in all kinds of weather.
Anyway, that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it, much like Kathy did in the caramel.

I was wondering a lot about this diamond pov. And I have a couple questions, if anyone knows the answers. Stephen already asked one :)
1. Say Brenden goes up on the block, someone else wins POV and uses it on him. Now are both those two and the HoH safe? Or just the HoH/POV holder or HoH/Brenden?
and
2. If Matt were to use it would the prior HoH get to compete in the next HoH? I know Chima got to play (right?) but both of her Noms were taken away, not just one.
My guess is those heels belong to Miss Grodner herself... She is coming in to tell them about a major surprise thats gonna happen live tonight (wishful thinking). LOL
In all of Matt's scenarios, has he ever considered a final 3 with Ragan and Britney?
No one can ever predict the end result-the final comp and the way the jury will vote. Obviously a lot of it would be out of his control. If Brendon leaves next week and Ragan and Brit came into power, the brigade members could start getting picked off without Matt getting the blood on his hands. If he won another HOH he could still put up Kathy as his target.
His odds in a final 3 are better than a final 4. I think Ragan would consider throwing the final comp believing that Brit and Matt would both take him to the end. He would more than likely get the votes from the brigade, especially if he wasn't responsible for putting them on the block. He would get votes from Brendon and Rachel because they hate Brit and Ragan even more than they hate Matt. The only one voting against the crowd would be Kathy.
I know it has to be played week to week because he can't predict the winner of each HOH or POV. But when looking at every possible scenario, I would be surprised if he hasn't considered a Brit/Ragan/Matt final 3 as a 'best case' rather than a 'worst case.'

Now, I'm scared. We're starting to think alike, and I can't be having that!!! LMAO!!!
Stephen I tend to think opposite of Genie on the DPoV.
I think it can be used during the live show until after the nominees make their final plea, but before the voting starts.
We may never know because with Matt being HoH this week it won't happen. I think it will be another AGP bust if he isn't on the block next week.
One thing is clear (the DPoV is too) is that we won't know until it happens. Those rules are between AGP and the holder, and are only good for this week and next. At least I think he has it for only 2 weeks, just like Regan only has Saboteur for 2 weeks.
I'd love to have seen Regan go out this week just for, well no, for many reasons, but to see Sab.2.0 fail again for AGP.
AGP failures are the only good thing about this season. It makes it watchable.

Diamond PoV is a PoV to be used during a Veto ceremony. It isn't a Coup d'Etat which can be used during the Eviction Ceremony.
Diamond PoV means immunity for the holder, and the ability to take someone off and renom someone. This gives the HoH, the one saved and the Golden PoV winner immunity. (up to 4 people total)
Do we know if the Diamond Veto gets used at the veto ceremony or just before voting? If it's used just before voting I have a great drama filled plan. Brit or Ragan wins HOH and puts up Brendon with Matt volunteering to be the pawn. Before voting Matt takes himself off and puts up either Brit or Ragan (the one not HOH obviously) The Brigade votes out the Brit/Ragan person and the one left implodes.......
I miss Jane very much and am so sorry she is gone, but I totally understand...
Kassie I'm not even sure Matt IS married. Sure we have seen is 'wife' and we have seen pics of them kissing. Once in each of his HoH reigns. But I've looked closely at them. Besides the pics both being in B&W, they also look Photoshopped to me. He may be the one with the diseases Bratney says Rachael has and the woman wouldn't kiss him.
Wouldn't it be hilarious if (and I know there is no previous relationship in the house) but it would be so funny if he and Regan really are lovers.
Even if he is married, it doesn't make him not gay. I know a lot of gay men who are married to a woman because they can't be out of the closet. We had friends in Dallas (now deceased) who were in the Air Force. What a perfect pair. The one that was still closeted married a lesbian, also in the Air Force.

Genie your explanation of Diamond Veto makes sense but I've heard others say the only difference between Diamond Veto and the Coup is that the Diamond Veto only changes one nomination and the Coup can change both. Is there anywhere that BB has officially stated what powers each has?

Are you the one who was talking about knee surgery? If you are having any doubts, I would highly recommend doing it.
I had a total knee replacement last summer. I was in such bad shape the doctor was amazed I was standing, let alone walking. Less than a week after surgery I was in less pain and walking better than I had been before I went in the hospital.
My other knee is bad enough to interfere with my life but not bad enough to be replaced. Frankly, I can't wait for it to go completely so I can have it fixed too.
I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at a young age and it was a very aggressive case. Ten years ago I had the joints in my right hand replaced. Five years ago I had a titanium screw placed in my thumb. Last year I had the knee replacement and this summer I had the joints in my left hand replaced.
With all these artificial parts, I guess I am as fake as some of this years HGs.
VAL!!! I had forgotten all about both of Chima's nominees being taken away. Thanks for the reminder. Now that really could be a whole new game change.

I've tried to forget everything about Chima, but there are times this season I'd like to see her back in the house. At least she was an equal opportunity hater. She didn't obsess on 1 person during her stay.

Chima left the night of Noms. Her Hoh was completely overturned then Michelle won HoH put her and Lyida up (I think it was Lydia) and when Chima got the boot Michelle could not be in the next HoH because her goal was accomplished by one of her Nom's getting evcited.
Which leads me to believe that this next HoH wouldn't be able to compete in the next HoH because only one of their nominations are altered, but at the same time their power goes away with not being able to pick a replacement (like the coup) so I really don't know which way to lean lol

It has been said that if Matt uses the DPOV next week the HOH gets to compete again in the next HOH competition because he had some of his power taken away from him (or something like that). What would happen if Matt would have used it this week? Would he get to compete in HOH again because his HOH power was limited because of the DPOV (even though he was the one using it)?

Speaking of being fake, you commented about hating it when a female gets bashed for having a breast enhancement. I couldn't agree more. I think some women go overboard on size but everything we do, from our clothing to coloring our hair to putting on make-up changes the way we look. When it comes to what a person chooses in regards to their own body, I think anyone should be entitled to do what makes them feel comfortable and good about themselves.
My sister was completely flat chested her whole life. She decided to get a breast enhancement and some liposuction. She was finally able to wear clothes she never felt confident in and to enjoy having a feminine shape.
I didn't feel the need, nor did I have the money to get that kind of work done. But I did get a couple new tattoos and a belly button piercing.
When it comes to that type of decision, I say "Live and let live."
curlerchick: I have seen some links about her bikini contests she has won (Hawaiian tropic,etc) but I havent viewed them. I also read somewhere that Kristin has modeled before and Matt was on Average Joe season 4(saw the pic from that)Funny how Rachel told Brendon she MC'd a binkini contest and not entered. How do you feel about the Diamond POV being given to the HOH? Rachel did not even have a chance to get it. Last year with the coup America voted, giving everyone equal chance to receive the power. Season 7 was the riddle, same thing everyone got an equal chance to win it.
Personally, I think it is unfair and I am not even really a Rachel fan. I just wanted to see what people thought about this...

The rules for the DPOV seem to have been changed for this season.
Originally the Veto Holder could not only remove a player from nomination, but also earned the sole vote to evict.
This year, Matt can remove a nominee and name a replacement instead of getting the sole vote.
LOL @Genie. As I'm reading the updates, your dislike of Ragan is really shining thru. It's sad....I liked him so much before he got close to Brit. They are a toxic combo...kinda like Brit and Monet were.

Val - Rachel was the only one who wasn't given the opportunity to compete for the DPoV. However, if it were in a PoV competition, a lot more would have not had a chance to compete for it. No one competed for the CDT, it was awarded to Jeff by vote. In BB anything goes except according to plan! :)
UGH! I'm in such a quandary about tonight. I need to be two people at once.
I don't want to miss the live show and obvious endurance comp, but I'm invited to 4 parties tonight for the first Saints game. It starts at 4:30 BBT. This is really a tough one. I adore free food and drinks.

Hiya gang. That was my attempt at levity for the day. I have had a sad day already. Had to make a difficult discussion about my three hamsters early this morning. A bad fight broke out, one of several over the past few days, and one hamster scampered away with several bite marks. I had to take the one that is the instigator of all fights back to the pet store so he could be adopted out hopefully. I'm just hoping he'll find a good home. I just couldn't watch him continue to pick on the other one. Death was imminent if I had kept all three of them. It just sucks because I had become attached to all three of them in the four months that I've had them.
I think I need a hug.

I've always been blessed to be with women who were well-endowed and living in Las Vegas I see a LOT of fake boobs and really am not a fan of them.. Actually my wife had a reduction a few years ago which was totally covered by insurance and I was all for it.
I think fake ones look ugly out of clothing, especially when they are waaaay bigger, mishapen or the centerpiece is waaay out of place.

With summer being so busy, I've had a lot to catch up on, thank goodness for this site! I've done a complete turn around on the houseguests. I really had more faith in Regan but he's turned out to be quite something.
I have to agree totally with Val The Diamond Veto should have been voted on or something. While I'm uber glad its not in the hands on Brenchel, I don't think HOH sould have gotten it automatically.

Besides the other season the dpov was in have they ever given out such a big power in a comp/vote/riddle where everyone was not involved. I know in the other season (4 I believe) it was given in the final 4 POV so everyone in the house had a chance to get it.
But I do agree, in BB don't expect anything to be easy or fair lol

I never thought of it that way. It does seem a little unfair. But the chance to play for HOH this week was still fair as far as the fact that the outgoing HOH never gets to compete. Anyone else could have won and therefore ended up with the DPOV.
I try not to think about things that seem favored towards certain people, even if it favors people I really don't like. (A comp called Bigfoot-haha). A lot of people didn't think it was fair when Crazy James was immediately given the opportunity to come back right after he had been evicted. But I sure was not going to complain.

Re: what I am currently reading from Val and Genie about how Matt was the only one who had a chance at the DPoV.
The whole thing sucked. Matt got it, but AGP wasn't sure he would open the door.. yea right.
But between when he got it and when the PoV Ceremony began was a very few minutes if I recall the timing via the feeds. As soon as he walked out of his room, Bratney was called to the DR and of course the ensuing Lockdown. Not that it was likely to have changed anything, but Matt didn't even have time to think about using it.
Now, we know he won't be using it tonight so he can make 'good TV' and save himself at the last minute next week, which makes me think it can be used right up until voting time.
My hope is he doesn't get nominated and has no reason to use it on the two who do get the noms.

The one I returned was named Brutus. Brisby was the one that is injured. Gizmo is the chill one that missed it all. Brutus bit me the first night I brought them home before I even had them in their hamsterarium. Brutus and Brisby are both named after "The Secret of Nimh." Brutus was one of the guards of the Rat colony.
Thanks for missing me too. My "likes" this year aren't quite the "likes" of anyone else. So I find it difficult to comment without offending other people. I'm in a bit of a limbo about that. Hopefully things will turn around after tonight's eviction.

I don't think he was directed towards anyone to win, and they probably had panadora's box all planned out ahead of time. But I think the power of a dpov is too much to not give everyone an equal shot at it.
And I think Matt is playing the best game in the house, and by game play alone he does deserve it, by no means am I trying to say he doesn't deserve it or got it handed to him for nothing he did win HoH. However, I think there were better ways to have the dpov in action this season.

I wouldn't be afraid to share your opinions. I've read a lot of comments this year about people feeling like they are in the minority. I've felt that way a few times, but overwhelmingly there seems to be no favorite this year.
I would say it's a 50/50 split. 50% of the people can't agree on who to like, 50% agree that they don't like anyone.

Grendon, no, they weren't BB Hamster's, I wouldn't have been nearly as upset if I had to return one of them.
GaYToR, they are all males. I did my research before hand and read that males tend to do better in a co-habitating environment in the dwarf hamster species. I have them in a 45 gallon aquarium, with some wooden shelving for second levels. There was ample room for all three. However Brutus basically had hunted Brisby down over the last three days. I didn't notice the injuries until this morning, which made me feel even more horrible.

Grendon, I had a rabbit when I was younger. I named her Thumper, not because of Bambi, but because she thumped her foot constantly. She was fiesty too! But she was a great listener. I had her a long 9 years before she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. 9 years is like an eternity in rabbit years, lol. She was a wild rabbit that was rescued from someone who won her at a circus and couldn't take care of her.

I was here earlier and had to reboot for some Windows updates. So decided to get some work done around the house.
I come back and read your blog and starting from the comment to Gaytor about it being Enzo's leg, was my first spit out of my tea. By the time I finished the update, I had to go change my shirt because I continued to spit out my tea in hysterical laughter.

I think me and Genie actually agree-kinda, sorta.
If I had to root for someone right now it would be Matt. I think he started out playing too hard and fast. I'm putting that down to the same case of bad-actoritis that a lot of the HGs are suffering from this year. He has had his moments of not being perfect. But he doesn't usually initiate the negative conversations or engage in treating people like garbage. Still wish the wife hadn't been involved in his game strategy.
I think for the most part Hayden and Lane are deccent guys. I'm on the fence about Enzo. Part of me thinks he just has a case of boys-will-be-boys and doesn't realize that some words are not only inappropriate but can also be hurtful. He is definitely my definition of a floater though.
I know everyone has an opinion of what makes a floater. I don't put Kathy in the same category because to the best of my knowledge she just sucks at comps. I don't think a floater is a 'can't do'. I think it's a 'won't do'. Someone who's only strategic move is to join an alliance and let them do all the work. If it gets him to second place then more power to him. But I would not give him my vote for first.

You can google Monet, Kristen and Rachel with model and get a hit on some nice pix of all three. It appears Kristen has the biggest number of pictures, then Monet with Rachel the least. Rachel's of course are strictly bikini but Kristen and Monet both have some really nice and varied clothing line shots.
All three are hot models but Kristen was the most versatile in her shots and the varied looks. I always wondered if Rachel somehow suspected she had legitimate competition and that is why she got Monet and Kristen out. With her obvious insecurities would not surprise me if she felt threatened by their commercial success in modeling. Just my opinion.

Know it is the 'love of B/R in the Dish so I have posted few comments. There are very few comments said for anyone but them so it is hard. All I can state again is that yes the hatred spewed from Ragan & Britney has been horrid. That does not excuse Brendon and Rachael from their behavior. Think everyone has had bad behavior and that B/R have just taken it personal.
Tonight will be a turning point and think the drama will be gone. When AGP picked fans to play it changed the game. These are people who just want to play the game without drama. They want the competitions and fun, good sportmanship, etc. I truly believe without Rachael things will be different unless Brendon looses it. But, this is my opinion. Just watching these guys play their pool games at night, it is different.
They realize people will go home. Don't think they are going to get mad at each other and fight etc. JMO
As much as I dislike both Brendon and Rachel I feel very bad for them...it makes me sad to see them sad. There is nothing worse that being separated from your love...with NO contact to each other.
They better get a move on. Not only do the HG's have to preen and primp themselves, they have to clean the house, and they have to do their weekly run-through rehearsal before the Live show begins.

I saw that Rachel was practicing dropping a can in a cup, like last years can in a cube comp. Why she felt the need to practice that particular one I dunno. I don't think AGP would blatantly copy a previous comp identically. But could it be something similar? Things that make you go hmmm.
They usually save that one where you have to make trips back and forth with some form of liquid to get your ball (heh) to the top when there are four people playing. Last year's hot chocolate one and BB8's Tea Party one come to mind. In both of those there were only four players.

A friend of mine is CONVINCED that Rachel is staying tonight. He's certain there will be a twist and both she and Brendon will still be there (that no one is leaving). I disagree with him but we're close enough that we can just state our opinions and then sit back and watch what happens. =)
