Friday Afternoon in the Big Brother 14 House - P is for Pandora
Good afternoon, BB Lovers! It's Nominations day in the BB house. Frank has told most, if not all, of the HGs that he'll be putting up Dan and Danielle, and that he'd like their votes to get Dan out. In addition to noms, we're expecting some Pandora's Box action too..

Dan: Do you think I should tell Frank that Ian created the Quack Pack or not even bring that up. If Frank mentions it to Ian, he'll crap his pants. Did we make the QP before or after the Silent 6?
Brit: We didn't make the Silent 6 til Janelle was gonna go up on the block. Our chances are not good if Frank's in this game. Getting him out seems so impossible.
Dan: He's not going to win everything.
Brit: Seems like it. Unbelievable.
Dan: Endurance for you guys next week should be a cakewalk though.. Just you 3 protect each other. You got to.. Why would they lock us inside.
Brit: Cuz either something good or something bad is being set up outside. I think it'll look like a power for him, but when he opens it, it'll be a power for someone else.. Alright. I'm gonna go change.. cuz right now, I just look like a slut.

At Shane's request, Frank and Shane go for a pre noms meeting in the Arcade Room, since HoH is still locked.. Per usual, Shane is afflicted with severe case of YammersOn. Here's the slightly abridged version.
Shane: You know you weren't my target. I understand if you put me up though.. I kinda went back on my word.. I'm never gonna put you up, from this point on.. and if you want my vote this week to get Dan out, you've got that. I know Britney's on board. I'm on board 100%. Would you rather have me fighting for HoH next week for you, or someone like Joe?
Frank: Out of the group, I do trust him.. But Brit worries me.. As soon as I was out of the DR, I saw her in here with him saying, what did he say to you.. If she trusted me, she wouldn't have to ask. I'm not putting her up, and I'm not putting you up.
Shane: You've been straight with your words.
Frank: I've talked to Danielle last night.. and I told her she was going up next to Dan.. If I can't get Dan out, i need to cut him off at the knees..
Shane: I wont win PoV.. cuz I know you would put Brit up..
Frank: If Dan wins PoV, I'm gonna want your vote to get Danielle out.
Shane: She's had the conversation with me.. I think with him out of the picture, she would come on board. Then we can get the floaters out. I have nothing against Joe or Jenn, but I don't wanna see them win this game.
Frank: You need to know that the only reason Brit's name came out of Mike's mouth.. The 1st name to come out of anyone's mouth was your name out of Dan's mouth.. then Mike came to me and said, do you think next week is too soon to make a move to get Shane out? He told me that.. Oh yeah.. I was HoH, cuz I was thinking about putting Dan up.. But since he brought up you.. Mike really wanted to work with you. And that's why he brought up Brit's name.. And at the same time, it was to keep it from being a hit on you. I'm not just saying that to make you feel good.
Shane: It's not in my best interest to put you up again ever. We're the 2 biggest targets. It's best for our game.. You've won 3 and 3.. I've won 2 and 3.. That's more than half the comps.
Frank: If I get HGs Choice, I'm gonna pick you. I haven't even thought about a replacement nom, but I really think it wouldn't be you.
Shane: That means a lot. I'm taking you to final 3 now.
Frank: Maybe Joe? But when that time comes, we'll talk. If you guys are gonna vote him out and I can trust you.. Obviously, I don't wanna put anyone on the block that I'm trying to work with.
Shane: I don't know if you want me to swear on anything.
Frank: That's not necessary.
Shane: But I'm never ever gonna put you up again.. until we get down to final 3.
Shane; I think this week might be endurance.
Frank: It might be one that's suited to you..
Frank: If we get Dan out, there's a manipulator in the game that we don't have to worry about. Then we can pop out a couple floaters..
Shane: That's so true..
Shane: For what I've done to you..
Frank: I know it was because of Dan. I'm able to look past the messenger, which is you in this situation.
Shane: It was. Last week put me in a horrible situation.. I took most of the heat for it, but once you guys found out..
Frank: I don't know how he thougth he was gonna do that..
Shane: And not answer for it. He went and chille don the couch with his bible while you guys were yelling at me. I appreciate the talk.. You're 100% safe with me. And you never know.. you might get a special power.. They'll try to backdoor you, and you'll get a Diamond Power of Coup d'Etat or something.
**oy. Shane.
Shane: I want to work with you. I'll keep it on the down low, or I'll shout it from the rooftops if you want. Joe told me the same thing he told you..
Frank: I think Dan goes and then him.. He's a nice guy, but I don't think he deserves..
Shane: No one does besides me and you.
Frank: Danielle's good.. Britney too.. But you're right.. There are a lot of people in here who don't do anything.
Shane: The only thing that'll suck is if we're up against each other. It showed a lot.. How hard you worked for Mike last week.. At least now I'll go back and watch the season and know that Boogie wanted to work with me, but glad to know you know I was being influenced.. He was in my ear last minute too.
This is ongoing.. Shane is laying the blame for every decision he's ever made at Dan's feet. The conversation ends at 12:54pm, and Shane and Frank come out to the dining table where Dan and Ian are sitting..

I am 100% expecting a Pandora's Box.. If the above reasons weren't enough, there's also the fact that CBS is promoting Pandora's Box as a part of the Sunday Show.. So.. it seems pretty logical that that's what's happening right now. We'll have the spoiler and follow up in a new top post when the feeds come back. Shouldn't be too long now..

Hello dear Caro. Thank you, thank you, thank you, so much for all the hard work you, Lessa, and Zinger put in for all of us. I couldn't enjoy BB near as much if it werent for all of you.
I am so bummed that Frank won POV last night and then HOH this morning. He is definitely fighting tooth and nail to be there. Good for him, I guess. Lol
Here's to hoping there is no magic power to keep him safe in the event he doesn't win POV next week. Lol
*praying* God pleaseeeee let Frank get something that will help him next week or for two weeks. E.G. Golden Power of Veto OR the coup d'etat :-D ....Please just let Pandora's box benefit Frank's game.
Love reading the BBDish Blogs it is the best. You all do a really great job keeping us all informed. on BB. Pandora's Box couldn't have happened last week for Shane. It sounds like maybe BB wants to make sure Frank stays in the game longer. Maybe it will be something bad for Frank. Didn't Frank say that he won't open Pandora's Box? but of course almost everyone says that.
I think I had an Ashley moment and got lost on the way. (and I like Ash, so I say that with love :) )

I agree with everyone loving Brit this season. All of her funny girl charm without the mean-girl attitude. Totally changed my opinion of her.
I, too, have watched the goodbye messages from last nights episodes several times. I may never erase the DVR! Too funny.
Interested to see what Pandora brings and how it effects the tenuous alliances forming today. Things are bound to get even more interesting!

What was Pandoras box last year?? I can't remember.
Thought I would throw this out there because of Carolyn's comments on Brit and Ian (which I agree with totally). I can't diagnose Ian either with any certainty, but so the Autism Society doesn't get up in arms, I will say that Ian does not have Autism. He (may, probably does) have a diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum -- meaning that there are degrees of a general condition which shares common properties.
Mild Autism is call Aspergers. Ian would have very mild Aspergers.
I have read on some other boards that he couldn't have it because he makes eye contacts and can empathize. This is incorrect. People with Aspergers usually have average or above average intelligence and also they have difficulty in interpersonal and social situations, it is not a condition that prevents communication or empathy.
It is exactly what you see. Social discomfort and certain coping behaviors that sooth, such as rocking, walking on your toes, hand shaking. Self comforting for social anxiety (not exactly that, but close enough for a post here).
Clearly Ian is well adjusted and handles it beautiful, with real courage. And I agree, Britney seems to know exactly how to connect with Ian, which basically just means sensing his boundaries and being patient.
I love Ian and am crazy about Britney this season. Personally, I would like to see them as the final two, with Ian taking the big prize.

I forgot to say in my last post, that I agree with everyone about Brit. I love her this season! She is by far my favorite, she's so funny, so witty, and the "mean girl" from season 12 seems to have really grown up a lot. Seeing her with Ian is heartwarming, and I think Ian knows how much she really cares for him. If Brit goes before Ian, I don't know if he'll make it much further in the game. I think he really depends on her emotionally. I'd love to see them as final 2!

I want to start this comment by saying how much I love both Dan and Brit, but would love to see Frank get some kind of power that will save him next week. Dan goes this week and Brit next week and see the newbies actually play this game to the end!
I like dan a lot, but the fact he's not saying anything or doing anything when it's down to the wire is really bothering me. If he doesn't get his ass in gear, I won't be rooting for him any more.

Hi Carolyn and dishers. Carolyn stay safe in this storm! In my opinion Dan is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. At this point i think the only thing that will be accomplished by outing Ian is further nailing his coffin shut with Frank. No matter what he says, Frank is convinced that the root of all evil begins and ends with Dan. Nothing that he can say will change that, and i think he realizes that (telling Brit that the three of them have to stick together). I also think his only chance at the 500K walked out the door with Boogie and he knows that too.

I would think that what happens each week (competitions, twists, etc.) is planned out weeks - if not months - in advance. So what would it hurt to release a simple list to the public after the houseguests are in the house that states what happens each week. I think that would take away some of the speculation that competitions and twists are done to benefit certain houseguests game. Or maybe they don't because to some extent they are done to benefit the players in some way?? Just thinking outloud...

I forgot to put in my 2 cents on Ian earlier - I agree with everyone else who has said probably mild aspergers. However, if that is true, he is handling being locked in that torture chamber EXTREMELY WELL - I constantly tell anyone who will listen that being in the BB house the entire summer is the absolute hardest thing you can do on TV. No one without the feeds understands how hard this game is. It's 2-3X as long as survivor and while you may be shielded from the elements, it has other elements that would surely drive me insane. If this hadn't been a lifelong dream for Ian I don't know how he'd be able to handle it. He's doing an amazing job regardless and has made this a really fun season to watch.
How many days does everyone think they could last in the BB house before they'd go insane?

I thought pandora usually happened after noms?? Dan can wait on the Ian situation till after veto comp and still get results. Frank is such a gullible fool, everytime he wins he's like " now do you see why its wrong to go against me?" . And everyone tells him how stupid they were and how right he was until he has no power and they can put him on the block. He falls for it everytime

BBOB- I noticed you asked a few times why everyone is against Frank. I can only speak for my reasons so here I go..
I find Frank to be nothing more than a bully with a filthy, filthy mouth and an attitude of entitlement. People like that, male or female, are the type of people I avoid at all costs. I find them toxic. I also think Frank talks out of both sides of his mouth, which even though they all do, Frank truely believes he is perfect. He is far from it. He tries to come off as this good guy but he isn't. To put it in his words...he's a bitter mother f*er. If people don't go along with what he wants he rides them close to insanity and then when they still won't budge the threats start. That is how I see Frank, I'm sure others see him in another light, perhaps as a fighter. That's ok but for my vote I wouldn't want somebody as vile in my eyes as Frank to win this game. He doesn't respect people and thinks he is way above them. And lastly, I hate the things he has said about women and how he played along and fed into all the nastiness Boogie did. I just find Frank to be trash, in my honest opinion, and I hope he is taken out the way his buddy was.
Now please don't take this personal, if you are all for him that's great. I'm just answering your question.
I think the only way Quack Pack would be safe is with either Coup d'Etat or duos came back. Then if Dan and Danielle as a duo got nominated and Shane and Britney as a duo won POV, they can save DD and Frank would have to put up the last duo. But that is super far fetched and probably won't happen. But one can dream...

About moms....mine is 91, plays golf twice a week and bridge 3 or 4 times a week too. The reason she moving to independant living is dad died last year after 70 years of marriage and she's lonely. I live 100 miles north of her so can't visit all the time.

@Susan well said, I feel the same and really can't tolerate him speaking anymore. I try to flip the feed if at all possible to avoid him and his voice.

Here is my theory on what is happening right now. I think there is a pandoras box like what everyone else is thinking. But while frank is in pandoras box, there is going to be a game the other houseguests are playing. This game will have prizes, just like the one veto game where they choose a prize when they are out. The grand prize is either going to be safety for 2 weeks or something like that. Or a power to change the nominations. The nominations will take place as soon as frank is out of the box. The other houseguests will not be allowed to tell frank about what happened while is was in pandorqs box.
I should be a Producer for big brother.
With my last comment I think the feeds.will be out for another 1 to 2 hrs.

Next, to add my voice to the "not happy with Frank" crew, I agree. He is a bully, with or without Boogie's influence. I routinely skip right past any conversation he is having and fast forward (or don't watch) when he's the primary subject of the show. Just cannot listen to, watch, or read any more of his "I'm the only deserving one" speeches or his intimidation tactics toward other HG's. I would be sorely disappointed if AGP decided to pander any further to Frank by giving him yet another advantage in this game.

Anybody know the record for longest without getting nominated? I think it's around 6-7 weeks? If Ian and Britney make it past this week they'll have set a new record. Just thought this was interesting to note. Don't know how much this counts for Britney since she was a coach for the first several weeks.
Well that was short lived, I only see doom and gloom for Dan. Only if he won POV, not likely though. I see too many things that would go wrong with his plan, unless he did get some of his own protection.
