BB12: Afternoon in the BB Corral
Good Afternoon BB Lovas! :)
It's been a lazy day in the BB house, smattered with some awkward campaigning on Kathy's part. Earlier, Kathy outed Rachel to Kristen for discussing Hayden and Kristin's secret relationship with Britney who has been suspecting them of being twins. Kathy has no problem exposing Rachel with whom she was inseparable when Rachel was HoH. Kathy's desperate move to garner sympathy will more than likely seal her already determined fate in the house, but not before she does damage to one of the few people who have had her back. ( ** Important to note, Andrew had already told Kathy about the Hayden/Kristin showmance, urging her to keep the information under wraps.)
What excitement will the the live feeds provide us this afternoon? Will Kristin confront Rachel or will she keep it under her hat in case it outs her relationship with Hayden to the whole house?

The conversation continues with Kathy going on about how sick she is that Rachel "made up" the showmance between Hayden and Kristin. Kristin reassures her that she won't tell anyone...

Feeds come back to perv cam 1 & 2 on Kristin showering. Cam 3 & 4 on the backyard sofa with Andrew, Britney & Brendon talking about the Olsen twins and.... more bubbles!! It's like champaign in the afternoon! :)
Feeds come back again to Kristin showering and Kathy blow drying her hair...
Rachel joins them and conversation moves to waxing, pimples, dying and other relevant beautification techniques. Kathy asks Rachel to do her hair.
Talk turns to Farah Fawcett, her death from cancer, which leads to Kathy's cancer when she was 28. Kristin's and Rachel's grandmothers both had mastectomies. Kathy tells them her tumor exploded inside her which put her whole body at risk. The chemo she had to undertake could cause leukemia. Kristin and Rachel say Kathy is awesome for the way she has dealt with the disease.

They both feel that Andrew has busted his ass in competitions and has had it rough from the beginning because they all thought he was the Saboteur. He deserves the chance to stay in the game. Enzo says he will be voting for Andrew, but he is in a difficult position because Kathy keeps coming to him. They feel badly for Kathy, but the game is the game. Ragan says it's lame to pick off the competitors over the floaters.

- Kristin is told by BB for the 157th time to put on her microphone. She is sitting by the pool with Andrew who is in the pool.
- Brendon, Enzo, Ragan & Rachel are on the sofas chatting and mentioning production which... you guessed it!... brings on BUBBLES!!

Lots of laying in the sun and chit chat.
There is some commotion about an insect. Matt is burning it, which causes the grass to burn. Britney says they will get in trouble and... Bubbles...

- Rachel and Britney moved on from talking about food to talking about relationships. Rachel and her ex didn't like to do the same things together. She wanted to chill when she wasn't at school or work and he liked to party. Britney says that she and Nick have fun no matter what they do. Rachel wants that kind of relationship. Talk moves on to kids.
- Ragan, Lane, Matt & Enzo are talking about HoH pictures. Conversation is off and on with a lot of sleepy silence. Brendon joins them. Enzo is complaining about the Have Not food running out, again.
- Perv Cams at the ready when Rachel starts applying sun screen on Brendon.
- Ragan is talking with Hayden about his blog and what was on it. He hasn't updated it since 2001. He doesn't want to let it go because he has a lot of followers, kids who have gone through what he has. He says its helping too many people for him to just stop. Brendon joins the conversation which is about Gay/Straight Alliances and gay communities.
- Kathy is in the pool, enjoying the afternoon.

Britney has joined Enzo and Lane on the sofas. She is working hard to keep Kathy over Andrew because he is more of a threat.
Britney: Keeping Kathy will keep someone in the house who won't win challenges. Keeping Andrew will hurt Brendon.
Enzo: I don't care about that. Brendon already has a target on his back. I'm going to see what the house is going to do. I\m not going to risk my game.
Britney: I don't want to either.
Enzo: That's why she's in this position. (Kathy voting for Monet against the house.)
Britney says it's similar to what happened to Annie, only Annie had some good points, i.e. they kept Rachel who is still a threat. Britney wants someone to make a "power move". (**Get yourself an HoH, Missy!) Britney tells them Andrew is best friends with Kristen. They are in the Taj talking every night... Enzo keeps saying, "I don't know. It's crazy man!" Lane isn't saying much. Matt joins the discussion.
Britney: Kathy came to me and said, I voted for Monet, now you need to vote for me...
It's non-stop in the BB house, but for us, we need a break! We will see you for the Sunday Show Viewing Party @ 8 PM EST along with a new blog by BB Howie! :) In the meantime, please mind the critters on the live feeds .

Just popping in to check on things and I am started to get irritated with Kathy and the sympathy stuff. How could staying in this house be better for her medically?
She was telling Enzo and others last night that she needs to be here, for many reasons, but medically, really??
How could slop, hard competetions that are kicking her butt, and the stress of it all be the best for her medically?
I was a Kathy fan at first and wanted her to pull out some sort of win to prove herself in the game, but poor me doesnt work for me at all. I appreciate what she has gone through, but I dont think using it as an excuse to "need" to be in the house makes any sense.
Just my opinion. I kinda wish she would go back to her morality speeches. Those made more sense.
This will make it all the better when Hayden and Kristen DO get found out!
Andrew surprisingly has a lot of dirt on everyone! He knows Matt is lying about his mother's condition and he knows that Kristen and Hayden are a showmance!

I'm stuck home working today but I'm glad to get to pop in and hang out in the Dish too.
I for one am so pleased to see Kathy unintentionally campaigning hard to get herself evicted, Andrew's one of my faves. He hasn't had it easy at any point in the game and he's taken all of the challenges head-on like a champ.
I agree with Cris, what is going on with Kathy? She has been using the illness card before every HOH nad POV, if she is that sick she needs to go home..

Kathy is buried in medical bills. She mentioned her and her ex getting bilked by a business partner while she was sick. At least she actually suffered from the illness she is talking about.
The only way I see this turning around for her is if Andrew confronts Matt and Matt tries to flip the vote. But I think Andrew is smarter than that and will hold on to the info for a while longer.
Michelle - I agree. Andrew would not throw a grenade when his own life in the game is at jeopardy. He is way too smart. Kathy, on the other hand, is playing a weird game.

I have grown bok choy for years in pots.Very easy and very yummy.
It can also be purchased for pennies at most asian markets.
I make my own peanut sauce and bok choy goes w/any veggies in stir fry.
I see Genie...its thrilling! Why are they putting on makeup to go to the pool? (rhetorical)

G'morning Genie. Glad to see you taking over for CaroBot. Is she still having major pain issues? I want to text her but I don't want to wake her if she is getting some rest. Now if she is on a Starbucks run, that would be different. She's sneaky that way. I busted her the other day. She couldn't hide it because I called her just as she was placing hr order. :-p~ But she had been on a major blogging and moderating roll that day. She asked me to do it in case something went down and she needed to rush back. Something did. Blogger went down and I didn't know if it was on her end or Blogger's. It came back while we talking. But I digress. It's always nice to see your smiling face and fingers here too.
Turtles, I've been worried about Toni too, but one of the last posts I saw from her, she listed the drugs they had her on. The pain meds... OMG! I was shocked she could even be awake, much less type and, it was an extremely coherent post one with not one single tiny typo. I do hope we hear from her soon.

I'm off to have the 2nd best hangover cure in the world. Hot & Sour soup and fried wontons loaded with extra hot Chinese mustard.
The #1 best is some of my favorite Tex-Mex. I love soft fajita tacos overloaded with pico de gallo and hot hot chunky salsa. That's very hard to find here. Not many Mexican restaurants. Most taco trucks, which arrived after Katrina for the Hispanics that came to cleanup and rebuild and are staying, although they still have a LOT of work to do. This city will be decades in restoration.
After that, I'll be back to tell all about last night. Obviously I didn't win that Comedy Award or that would have been drunkenly posted last night. I do take pride in even being nominated and also by the cheers as the nominees were announced, I was obviously the crowd favorite. I always try to find the good in everything. Everything but the BB HG's, that is.
One last non-BB thing. If the feeds get boring, or if you are lucky enough to be able to multitask, Discovery is having an all day marathon of Deadliest Catch.
Now I'm off to lick the hot mustard container dry.

I don't have an issue with floating as a strategy simply because it can work and we've seen many do it until they have to fight, and strategy is strategy.
But Kathy right now? what on earth is she doing? I was really hoping she had some mad skills up her sleeve but it doesn't appear so.

Ok, I admit it, I totally give up on trying to figure Kathy out. I was really liking her for her genuine kindness, even to Monet who had hurt her feelings based on a Rachel lie I believe? (I confuse myself with all the head spinning I do to keep up, lol). I always thought Kathy was holding back on the physical stuff because she is a sheriff and therefore I figured... But now that she is playing the sympathy sick card while smoking, I just don't get it. What is her motivation to be on BB and what is her game play strategy or is this one of those "the world will never know"?
After reading GaYToR's comment I must now either run to get Chinese take out or tacos. I think I will go for the tacos, that will be faster and cheaper.

For Crisi, Genie - like Michelle said, Kathy has some major expenses happening with her medical bills. Don't know if anyone caught on the feeds as well when she was saying how it's better for her to be there (that moment) all the pills she was getting out of her bag, one bottle at a time, big ones). She apparently is still on a lot of stuff. That can't be cheap.
Terrible tragedy in Germany, 19 trampled to death in, ironically, a Love Parade.

Of course to us her strategy doesn't make sense but to her, apparently she's thinking everyone or some may have sympathy and it might work.
Also, I know someone who was on the police force who was not the picture of someone you'd think of to be in it and I asked her how she managed. The key was, "when" she entered she was able to do the physical things that were necessary at the time to enter (and they weren't as bad as I thought they would be). Once on, she didn't have to maintain that kind of physical condition at all. Just a little fyi that I gained but may not be true for all police/sheriff positions as well. Like there are sheriffs that do generalized work too.

I am multi-tasking. Trying to get some housework and other chores done.
My mom called to invite me out for supper, YAY I don't have to cook, but that also means I miss the show with all of you again! Drat!
I'll try and catch up again tonight.
Like I said earlier, I do feel badly for all that Kathy has been through and I am glad that she has won her battle with cancer. But, it seems to me that sympathy is not gonna get you far in this game. No-one wants to take somebody to the end that will get all the votes because of their story.
Kathy is not someone IMO that I would consider an ally. She cant even compete well to help the alliance. People need to align with someone that can help..... HOH, POV for their own benefit.
I do feel badly that she needs so much medication, but going into this house and exposing herself to much more stress cannot be good for her health and mental well being. So saying that is why she needs to be there makes no sense to me.
Unless she can compete well enough to make her stay longer to actually win some real money, to have a shot at the 500,000, now that would be different.
I dont mean to sound harsh, I really think that Kathy is a nice person, but If I were playing the game with Kathy, I would be considering all of the debt that I also have and my family. Kathy would not be able to help my game and I would not want to take her to the end bacause she is such a nice person who has survived cancer.
Maybe Kathy's strategy is to hope that each person thinks "hey... I will just throw her a sympathy vote last minute... its not like anyone else is voting for her..." And before ya know it... its a unanimous vote to evict Andrew! LOL!
Genie I agree about Kathy. If she is still a sheriff I would imagine she has some type of decent benefit plan, usually those types of jobs have better benefits than pay but even if not, the HG don't make that much money for being on the show, not enough to pay for high and ongoing medical care costs. She would need to win or be second place for that to happen and what is her strategy to get her to that place. And if she refuses to get 'dirty' as she calls it then how else do you get to the end? She comes across as intelligent so I think that is why she is so hard to figure out.

Stephen - Ragan isn't a floater. He proved himself as a strong competitor. He is friendly with everyone, but has strong alliance with Matt mostly and to some extent Rachel.

Stephen - I don't think sympathy will enter into this cast's voting. From various conversations we have been reporting, it's obvious they will vote for Andrew to stay. So far, only Rachel will be voting for her; and what does Kathy do? Expose her...
Stephen - I disagree about Ragan, didn't he stay up longer than eveyone else (but Matt) for the last HoH. That's not floater mentality. I like him.
Actually, I am suprised Kathy has lasted this long in the house. I pegged her gone week one or two.
It could also be that she is hoping that more comes of her being on here, if not winning that will give her more income in some way like so many other houseguests. It just may not be about winning at all. The longer you are here, perhaps the better your chances of gaining something out of it at the end?

Did a google search on 'what does Ragan's tatoo say' and here is what I found, have no idea if this is true or not. : "Quelquefois un rêve est ce qui vous fait un esclave." It translates to "Sometimes a dream is what makes you a slave." If you then do a search using the french quote you get quite a few hits all going back to Ragan so who knows?

Julie: I guess we just see it differently... I can't think of anything he has done to establish him on either side of the house... He stayed up there longer, but he is also glued to Matt, telling him everything... if you asked the house, if anybody, who's side he was on, I think they would say Matt over Rachel... despite the fact that he was up in her HOH all last week... Kathy was also constantly in Rachel's HOH but she is seen as a floater...

See, when someone has an "alliance" with people from both sides of the house, I see that as a floater... its the functional equivalent of just going where the power is. In my book, floater=someone who isn't sticking to one side...
As for doing well in comps, yes, he has done fine. BUT he threw the comp to Matt as to not get blood on his hands and not have to take a side in the house... quintessential floater!!!

I saw in Caro's comments re one of the conversations (there is no 2 people who are lifelong friends). Have I missed something proving that to be true, or is it her assumption? I still believe Ragan and Matt are the lifelong friends.
The words on Ragans arm are reported to originate from a song by Liz Phair, am trying to find the lyrics to the song. More to come if I find it.
I really am amazed about how many bikinis HG always bring! LOL It's almost like they are more important then most other clothes.

Hiya Divr !! :) The lifelong friends twist has not been announced by CBS to us at any point, which they would have if it were true. No need to keep the viewers out of the loop. It was one of the saboteur's ploys to throw the house into a tizzy. None of the HGs even believe it any more...
Divr, I've been saying the same thing from the beginning. Perhaps it is true that there isn't but it just feels like those two have some kind of connection you can feel even more then see.
Did anyone catch Kathy talking to some of the guys outside on the couches a bit ago??
I said I was gonna hush up about the smoking subject but could someone explain to me what is the difference between smoking and drinking when it comes to harming her health?
She told them she hadn't drank alcohol since her cancer because of what it would do to her health wise.
I do know from my friend who is taking chemo that she can NOT drink while on chemo and some medications but when she was 2 yrs free of cancer, her oncologist said it was okay to have an occasional drink like any normal person would. So she had a glass of wine every now and then but that's it.
So now Kathy says she can't or won't drink because of her health but she doesn't say anything about what the tobacco is doing to her body and NO ONE ASK HER ABOUT IT!!
I have to get off her case about this because I know she is probably leaving Thursday and I will be feeling all sorry for her on Thursday night!! LOL

CO(ck)X DVR is so stupid, and so was DirecTV. If you are recording 2 things, you have to be watching one of them. What's the point of DVR if you have to be watching one of them. I do that with BB especially in case I miss something want to go back and catch things I miss.

If by some chance things switch and Andrew knows he's being evicted, I do hope he goes through with his eviction speech and bust not only Matt, but the HK Showmance too.
But, with that being said (OMG I didn't just type that) it would be a really bad move if it's true that one of the evictees comes back.
I'm shocked that the BRAgade hasn't thought of that, or anyone else in the house. At least I haven't heard anyone talk about it. Yes indeed! They are all huge fans and have seen every season. DUH!

Kathy did drink last night, not much but i saw her take a couple of Sangria shots while they were playing the drinking game. Then she moved onto water.
What I am concerned about, as well, is Rachel's drinking. It appears to me that she may/does have a problem with it. I"m wondering if maybe Brenden is starting to wonder the same thing too?
After her saying she wasn't going to or was staying away yet she just can't seem to. I didn't get to see last night BBAD all the way but did she drink all that sangria herself? That was a lot, she started with 1/2 a bottle of white and red then opened the other new ones and added a 1/2 of them with the sprite (then added a little more red again). Then she told whoever it was that it was mostly sprite (which it really was far from).
Matt is becoming a real headache for BB production. First he hacks the HOH spycam remote and they have to take it away from him. Then he catches the grass on fire. I'm sure they love him.

My guess is that if any houseguest ends up returning they won't tell us until the week before it happens (to let us know if we vote on it, or if it is the return of the saboteur we might get to vote on her first act of sabotage, etc...)... because even in previous seasons where they brought someone back we didn't know until just before, right?!

I see Matt as this mischevious little boy who likes to is sneaky and likes to get into things. Because he's bored, and because he "can" he does some of the things he does. It's kind of cute if you think about it, anyone that has little boys knows what I'm talking about.
Yea, it's troublesome and it surely can become a big problem potentially (the way I see it) with things he may actually be capable of in the future. LOL

hmm Ragan's comment about how "lame it is" to vote out the real competitors is kind of strange to me....if you vote out the people who compete well when you have the chance, that gives you more opportunity to control the game. Kathy so far hasn't proven she's capable of winning anything, so I would keep her around for a while just because she's 1 more person who won't get in my way lol. Why is Ragan so concerned with fairness? The game is about making it to the end to win the money by beating everyone...no one "deserves" it more than anyone else. If you're final 2, you deserve it no matter how you got there-whether you won all the comps or whether you sat back and let the "competitors" take out each other.

I don't know why, but for a few days now I have got the impression that Britney is going to join Rachel. Actually... I haven't even got that impression so much as just a feeling...
The best logical way I can think of it happening is Britney will see with Kathy's eviction (maybe) that the boys must have an alliance because they seem to be doing so much in unison... then she really has no choice but to work with Rachel and Bren... unless she convinces Ragan to be her sole ally.

I am watching BBAD that I missed last night but recorded. She was taking her "medicine" and man was she having to take a lot of stuff. I saw her opening about 4-5 bottles at least to take.
Crisi, I'm gonna watch for her drinking some of that sangria or wine or whatever it was. She really shouldn't be drinking with all those meds!

Right Genie. No 'official' announcement but rumors have been flying that the evictees are in seclusion which makes me think it is going to happen. AG would need to do it since they are 1 short of a full house this season, to make it to the Finale date. AGP would have to do away with FastForward week and I don't see them doing that. I haven't been watching the interviews with the ecictees. Are they taking live calls or email questions only which would be a sure giveaway?

I'm taking another break. I have tons of pics to DL from last night for Facebook, and getting them all tagged might take all day, but first I'm chasing Danny out of the recliner. He had a long weekend too, but he didn't have to do it in wigs and heels and makeup. And I didn't even get last night's makeup off until this morning. I had Danny take a pic of the mess of a face I woke up with.

Didn't hear all the convo about Long Beach but if I'm not mistaken I believe Ragan is a professor at CSULB (which no one knows) and Brendon is going to CSULB for his doctorate.
My ears perked up because I'm an alumni of CSULB.
NCMom, Brendon has questioned Rachel about her drinking and she said she doesn't drink everyday but it is part of her job. I waitressed and bar-tended at a casino and drinking was not in the job description.

Am I the only one who is getting tired of all the crap Matt is doing?? All he does is use people and lie to everyone...even he so-called brogade alliance. The little sheet thinks he has game like Dan did....I hate to tell him but he's not even close. Cuz at least all the house guests liked Dan and the things he did were not as spiteful as those that Matt has done...especially the story about his wife. Once I saw what he was doing with Ragan I lost any and all respect I had for him...and I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo tired of him playing with himself in front of everyone...including us...get him OUT of the house ASAP please.

I just don't know, who I would I wanna to keep. I would Wanna keep both of them-obiviously I can't. I like both of them. I think andrew is playing better game. He has had it hard since the get-go! He was considered a sabatour. He's smart, he doesn't inneract but HE MAINLEY-LAYS LOW, AND LISTENs. That is a smart move. He gathers his information instead of running with it and blurring it out there, like brittney, annie, monet, rachel. He had come in 3rd place for that endurance comp-next to Reagand and matt. Kathy is all about sympathy but sweet and nice. It is hard for alot of people for not playing this game, for "Financial"gain. Medical bills and company partner can burn you alot. This I can understand- for those 2 reasons to be here. As far as game play goes. She really was laying low, not winning in comps, gathering information. The only difference is Kathy is leaking infor. now and andrew is still holding it in. Who's a stronger player Mentally. I think Kathy likes Kristen and Rachel but I think Rachel would keep her over andrew. I don't know.
