Big Brother 14: Expecting Endurance ~ 36 Hour Lockdowns Don't Happen for No Reason
Good morning, BB lovers! Happy Live Show Thursday!
The HGs have been locked inside the house since 4:30am Wednesday, and because of this they all believe they'll be having an Endurance Comp tonight! 36 hour lockdowns don't happen for no reason.. so.. we think they're right! And frankly, we're due for another Endurance Competition.
If you haven't gotten the live feeds yet this season, now would be an excellent time to take advantage of the 3 day free trial. You want to get everything set up and working on your computer before tonight.. just in case you run into any minor technical issues.. you want ample time to get them sorted out before it matters!

Season 6 and Jenn won the comp. it was pressure cooker. They stood in a box with thier finger on a button. This was the night Kaysar was voted back into the house. The comp lasted until the next morning. Kaysar was voted out that week as well btw.

Well we made it through the storm relatively untouched. Just small damages and the electricity only out for a brief time. We were very lucky! Its still stormy out but I think the worst is over.
Brit is finally making a pitch this morning! I'm so glad. I think she would work with Dan again and that is my main concern. I would love to see Dani gone tonight. Every time I see her mouth moving on the feeds I either mute or move to another channel. She wears me out when she tries to one up Brit on her funny stories and they just fall flat.
I really enjoyed the conversation last night between Brit and Ian! Very funny.
I can't wait to see what the endurance is tonight.

Work is killing me, 11, 12 hr. days sure put a crimp in BB watching :( No going to come to an end until Sunday.
Thanks to Carolyn and Lessa and everyone though I'm keeping up to speed as much as possible. Just watched last nights show. Poor Britney, Dan kind of sucks right now. He is a bit to obsessed with BB me thinks.
I don't have to work the overnight shift tonight/tomorrow and I get out at 11 tonight so hopefully the Endurance will still be going on and I can catch some of it. Still have to be up early tomorrow and another horribly long day so can't stay up long but I need my BB fix.
Going to watch some fb of the last days of Brit :(

I FINALLY feel better today thanks to good antibiotics and cough medicine. Speaking of the cough medicine, I had NO CLUE it had hydrocodone in it and took it with my Norco, needless to say, I felt about as good as Brit when she had her bottle, then after about an hour started feeling a lil sick and very sleepy.
On to BB, I really would love to see Dan win this one, let him show Jen and Frank his loyalty! And let the QP see what they missed out on when they just turned their backs on him and let him catch all the heat in covering for them. Shame on them. I do believe Dan will hold true to this alliance, as he has told us he would and he and Frank both have been relaying back to one another what they have been talking about with other HGs. I would not mind seeing Jen pull one out either, I like that she has stepped into the game a little.

This is what I think brit should've done yesterday: had a meeting w shane and joe together...plead her case to them together (since their vote is basically 2 fer) and bring joe into qp....then bring dan in (that's the only way she'll get his vote)....then hopefully cut danielle. Its worth a shot at least! Going at joe alone is pointless (I'm doing w/e shanes doing)...and now is the time to go after frank not join him. 2 tries w/o HOH just POV. Best odds.
How could she possibly lay down and not fight to stay AGAIN?? Other than that I've really enjoyed her so much more this time around and I sure would prefer her staying in the house than danielle!
Unless a miracle happens i'll be sad when brit leaves :'(

Joe promised Brit his vote but then back peddled and doesn't want to be the only one not to vote for Dani. Brit is going to go out peacefully but then in the next breath she is going to campaign hard.
She has been advising both Shane and Ian who they should get out first. She wants Dan out but then it's Frank and back to Joe. She is really pushing Joe to stick with Ian and that he can totally trust him to be loyal (Joe agrees but in talks with others says strongly he wants Ian and Dan out next.)
Ian has agreed to throw it to Dani if it is endurance and they are the last two. Shane doesn't trust Ian enough to throw it to him but at least Ian tells Shane he will go after Frank and Dan.
(some of this is from late late last night and some from this morning.)
Because what people say depends on who they are talking to I think it is safe to say that Dan, Frank, Dani and Jenn are locked solid for now. The hope is to bring Shane in after the Brit leaves.

However since we are told to expect the unexpected don't be too surprised if it is Dani who goes tonight instead of Brit. She plans on campaigning to the very end. She isn't ready to go home ... has told Ian and Shane she really thought she could win this time (I have to say that these people have a tendency to reveal their plans to the wrong people. There are some things that should be kept to ones self and not blurted out to the competition.
There has been continued talk about Ian getting too drunk on 5 beers and Brit also getting drunk on a bottle of wine. Shane is now afraid they will give them less to drink.
Probably not much will happen during hoh lockdown -- feeds are currently on trivia

One thing I forgot and don't know if it was reported or not but Ian keeps telling Brit not to go to Shane for his vote. He keeps telling her it is over and she is going home. He told her he isn't at this point sure how he will vote because he also does not want to be the only different vote in the house. It is important to him that Frank and Dan see him as a team player again.
Anyway, Ian has become very discouraging to Brit about campaigning. However she says she isn't going to just lay down and give up (which several people have accused her of doing) and that she will fight to the end.
Ian continues to say it's over and no chance for her to get the votes. He says not to go to Shane because Shane is 100 percent with Dani. He says Joe will vote with Shane so it's just a waste of time to ask.

Two more things before I go.
1)I think Brit will be POed when she finds out Danielle's part in her ouster.
2)I really wish Shane and Joe would grow a pair tonight and evict Danielle. If that were to happen after all this that would be epic TV. Probably won't though.

So what did we learn after last night's show:
Dan is "The Real Wizard" in the house & btw, I doubt Dan walked into the BB house a 2nd time w/o all kinds of game options already in his head.
It made for great TV but I truly think Dan is like one of us. He watches yearlanalysisyses why a player made a certain move, tries to anticipate what will occur next & in his mind imagines what he would do.
Frank once again proves to me he may be a fan of the game but he isn't a student of the game. Sure he really did need to find some people to work with but he literally built alliances with everyone in the house EXCEPT for Ian. With the initial acceptance of the "Dan Deal" he pledged his allegiance to Dan, Jenn & Danielle.
Brit acted shocked but said she knew once Ian had to go first "she knew it was coming", her complete lack of effort to remove herself from the block proves she puts her trust in the wrong people (Danielle) & although she plays an amazing social game she is unable to translate those social skills into strategic moves. If she had paid closer attention to Dani she would have known how that girl works & could have seen something was fishy.
Danielle is thrilled to now be the only girlie girl in the house meaning all the attention will focus on her. Since Ian doesn't fawn all over her he's probably the most expendable at the moment. (more further down).
Ian appears shell shocked b/c his one & only F2 got put on the block & is on her way out the door. I know I keep thinking this super fan is brilliant but his lack of insight into this move is disconcerting. Perhaps b/c he is such a good kid he is really crushed Brit is leaving & it's rendered him impotent. I still don't buy that & my reasoncentered all centred around ONE COMMENT Dan made to Frank in his plea. Dan said "Ian is tired of working with Brit". It was a throw away comment BUT I'll wait & see if this comment leads to something this coming week.
Resident floater Jenn grew some balls (or at least that's what she'll have us think) by removing Dan from the block & securing herself a F4 deal. In hind sight perhaps it is a good move b/c she got herself into an alliance & two F2 deals with Dani & Frank but if & when the opportunity presents itself to oust a non-entity she may be the boot out of circumstance.
Shane is a great guy appearing to have shed more tears than Brit at the funeral. He has always wanted to work with Frank & now those doors have opened. He's also in a pretty tight alliance with Danielle thinking they'll go to F2 & split the money but I seriously doubt she will take him remembering the repeated warnings of a girl never beating a guy in the finals.
Joe is an enigma b/c he actually has a great read on the game but never seems to follow a thought through or he gets ignored by the people he is talking to. His position in the house continues to ascend as the numbers lessen simply b/c he is a viable F2 option with everyone knowing they can beat him. I see why Janelle actually liked him b/c of his ability to see game moves. I actually have wondered if Joe had been on Dan's team how different this game would be. Dan prob could have gotten Joe to stop repeating information & or used Joe to "plant seeds" & Dan would have seen the value in Joe's assessments & utilized them to further them in the game.
Brit told Ian he could trust Shane, Dan & Danielle & even said he could throw the HOH to Danielle. I screamed NO when I heard this b/c Danielle would be forced to get rid of Ian due to all the alliances she has in the house. I couldn't help but think please don't let Brit's swan song be the decimation of Ian's game as well.
Shane & Danielle talked about reuniting the Quack Pack & Shane voiced his concern about being able to work with Dan. This piece of information to me is the most important thing that happened yesterday. The reason is Shane is likely to have a "final" conversation with Britney on what to do with his game moving forward. IF he pulls a classic Shane & reveals what he thinks is an innocent conversation between Danielle (& Dan at one point) to Britney she'll know that Danielle & Dan are still working together.
It may be too late for Brit to do anything to save her game but it will allow her to tell Ian this. What I'm hoping is that Shane will further out Danielle's plan is to take out Ian. This information is important for Ian to know Dani & possibly even Shane CANNOT be trusted so he won't throw the HOH comp.
Moving forward it's obvious tonight's HOH comp will be endurance & given how last night's show ended with the voice over saying "who will win the HOH tomorrow night" & then immediately did a close up of Ian it doesn't take a brain surgeon to see this comp will be geared for him to win. I just hope he doesn't throw it to Danielle or Shane thinking he is safe b/c that will cost him the game.
To that end, heading into the F7 & an endurance comp it's unlikely Jenn or Joe will be able to win given their poor performances to date. Frank can't play so that leaves Danielle, Shane, Dan & Ian fighting it out.
Strategy now becomes important; Dan will not want to win (IMO) b/c he would have to put up Frank or the house would know he is aligned with him. If he puts Shane up then Shane will NEVER work with him again. He also can't put up Danielle or Jenn due to that alliance so it would leave only Joe & Ian to put on the block. Putting Ian on the block is NOT a good move especially for Dan b/c Ian is eager to work with him & would likely not put Dan up. In fact, now that Brit is leaving I imagine Ian will want to take Dan to F2 or at least late into the game. Therefore I think Dan will try to outlast Shane & then drop claiming he tried.
Shane will only win endurance if it is an endurance requiring strength such as the hitting the wall swing endurance done in Brit's season that Hayden or Lane won. I doubt that will be the case though. If Shane did win it would be hard for him not to go after Dan but if he didn't it would need to be Frank b/c he has to go after one of them which Danielle will push him to do.
The other type of endurance will favor Danielle or Ian to win but I started thinking Dan will mist Danielle telling her once Shane is out that he & Danielle will confirm safety with Ian & give it to him. It makes the most sense b/c she is on the bottom of everyone's list right now to get out. Why would she want to win HOH & raise her profile in the house. By winning & not putting up Dan or Frank it would showcase something is amiss so it behooves her to not win if at all possible. The only problem is will she understand that? I know she likes to think she is a big player but her winning is NOT a good thing unless she absolutely has to. I think Dan will tell her, listen let Ian win, we will confirm we are safe & then he gets Frank out.
Ian winning would in fact be best for many people in the house not named Frank. For me personally I'd like him to win so he gets back into the game much like Dan & Frank have done this week. It will allow him the opportunity to get information from each of the people in the house & it will provide the viewers with a much more satisfying week of drama. IF Ian wins how long will it take for Jenn, Joe, Shane, Danielle, & even Frank to spill what they know?
I know Ian is unhappy Brit is leaving but at the same time I wonder if he recognizes it will ultimately be better for his game. If I were Ian I'd put up Jenn & Joe with the ultimate goal of back-dooring Frank. There is still a chance Frank will not play veto. If however he gets information from Danielle or Jenn that Dan & Frank have forged a deal then he should nominate Dan & Frank immediately to ensure one of them goes.
This week to me is pivotal in how the game will play out. If Ian doesn't win he'll need to win POV or face following Britney out the door. If however he wins HOH then hopefully it will result in pompous Frank leaving.
Then things get trickier moving forward:
Danielle has F2's with Jenn, Shane & Dan; I think her goal is to take Jenn.
Jenn has F2's with Frank & Danielle & her goal is prob to also take Danielle
Shane has F2's with Frank, Danielle & Joe with the goal of who knows lol. Actually he prob wants to take Danielle given their discussion of splitting the money but he'd be fine taking Joe as well
Frank has worked deals all over the house including F2's with Joe, Shane, Jenn, Dan & Danielle. It will be interesting to see what he does if Ian wins HOH in terms of trying to work with Ian moving forward & how much information he is willing to share with Ian.
Joe has F2's with Shane & Frank but his stock keeps rising in the house given how poorly he competes. Ian winning would present an interesting dynamic as Joe will feel threatened & I'd love to see if Joe outs his F2 & F3 deals with Frank & Shane. If he gets this information which is likely given how Joe operates it provides Dan with the ammunition to abandon the deal with Frank b/c he can say Frank shook on a F2 & then blatantly secured other deals to oust Dan.
Dan has F2's with Danielle & Frank only currently but has been misting Jenn pretty hard all week. Being the type of insightful player he is it's my guess he knows Jenn's loyalty ranks Dan lower on her list & that Danielle isn't guaranteed to take Dan either. I keep crossing my fingers hoping Ian wins HOH b/c I believe he will go to Ian with a F2 deal & knowing how loyal Ian is I think he would stick to it. My hopes are this is exactly what happens because that is my preferred F2.
Ian NEEDS to win HOH for all of these reasons above; to get information, to reset his game, to honor his pledge to get Frank out for Britney, to realign with the QP, to provide the most possible drama for us this week.

It's been a crazy week! I just hope something happens to save Brit. I was not a fan of hers in her last season (she was quite a mean girl!) but she has matured into a kinder, gentler Brit. If Shane catches on to Dani's ruse - and her keeping it from him - things would change and Dani would go home. One can only hope...
I am going to flash back and try and catch some of Britney's conversations where she is fighting to stay in the house. Stay tuned.

J-There's 2 things. I have a hard time trusting Ian. Because of his wishy washy whatever. And he's already put me on the block. Every chance he gets he seems to go against me. An I can't get Shane to budge.
B-I just felt that at the beginning of the week, you guys were going to vote to keep me and then that changed all of a sudden.
J-I'm still, believe it or not, going to have a conversation with him today.
B-I understand that Shane wants to keep Danielle but that should be for obvious reasons. Shane & Danielle are going to protect each other till the end. I know that Danielle is a good competitor, but I am too. I was right behind her in the pirate ship and I actually jumped off to let her win t. I love Danielle and I don't want to talk anything bad about her but I've got to try my hardest to stay here. I am totally fine with drawing a line in the sand. I don't like Frank. I don't want to talk to him. I;m through with him. That's the bottom line. Danielle is an emotional player and she's going to go back to Dan.
J-I'm really worried about that too.
B-They're going to get the old gang back together. She's really an emotional player and I don't mean it in a bad way but she's super emotional and Dan has been working on her all week. She went from totally hating him to..

B-I actually do trust Ian and I know that you don't. But I understand why because he has put you on the block before. But Ian has always done everything that he has said he was going to do. I don't think Ian is with Frank. I don't think Ian wants to be with Frank. He has made that abundantly clear.

J-If I honored what I said I was going to do, you would have my vote. I just don't want it to be a throwaway vote. Because then I really look stupid and I go down. I'm willing to talk to Shane one more time but I can't F***ing get him away from Danielle.
B-I know! I KNow! Do you know that the most time I ever spent with Shane in this house is when I was shackled to Danielle? And I know people think that, oh Danielle can compete. She an compete but I can compete too.
J-I don't think she can compete. I don't think she can beat you. I think F***ing Shane needs to make a decision tonight to switch his vote. With that being said, he just needs to do it. He obviously can't tell her.
Now they talk about Shane and how Brit, Shane, Ian and Joe together could take it to the house. Shane has said that Brit has already had a chance and so Danielle should get a chance now (to win BB). Joe tells Brit that she needs to talk to Shane because Shane thinks that Brit really doesn't want to be here and Brit says she is trying to but can't get him away from Danielle. Brit still feels that Shane & Dani are going to go back with Dan.

Brit is saying to Joe "What happened? What happened to everyone wanting to get Frank out? Just the other day he was alone." Joe said yeah I know, Brit ask him about his vote. He doesn't want to stand out as not voting with the majority. But he says he will at least talk to Shane one last time. They discuss how they've not been able to get Shane alone to talk. Brit talks about how hard it is to be on the block with a close friend...saying if Dani goes home she'll feel like she took her chance away from her, and vise-versa. She talks about how emotional Dani is in this game and how she's not always alert and thinking game at all times. Brit says she trust Ian. Joe says he doesn't because he's always wanting to put him on the block.
Joe says he will talk to Shane. But as of right now, it doesn't look good for her. Joe tells her it might help her to talk to Dan. Brit says she will, but she knows not to try to talk to Jenn about it. She says she doesn't even want to talk to Frank! Brit says she can see Dani getting back with Dan and how the old gang could get back together, and Frank would not be able to stop it. Joe's listening, but not giving her hope.
Frank walks into the BR and game talk stops. Brit ask Frank if she can take a shower in the HOH BR. Frank says "sure".

He keeps asking about putting up Jenn and Dan and I have not heard Dan say yes. He said when they tried Frank always gets out of it
Ian is talking a mile a minute trying to convince Dan to work with him and he promises to work with him to the end.
Dan is saying they have to figure the best person to get out and Ian said back dooring doesn't make mathematical sense at this point

Frank said the pecking order keeps changing and it will make a difference depending on who gets put up and who wins. Ian reminds Frank he can't play the next two HOH ... says he will keep his options open.
Frank goes into talk to Dan --- he says Brit hit Joe up pretty hard to keep her this morning. He says they are telling him (Joe) and Dani and Dan need to be broken up which is different than what they are pitching to him (Dan)
He also tells him about his talk with Ian. Trying to get him to agree to work with him. He said he told him about Dan, Dani and possibly Shane will be working together. Dan says he thinks Joe believes the two of them are working together (Dan and Frank)
The agree they are both trying to keep Ian sort of close for now in case he wins HOH.
They are trying to decide what Joe's game plan is. They both agree he is only a number. Frank says he also won't change his vote to keep Brit.
They also both agree not to get worried if they see each other talking to the other side.
Frank says Evil Dick told her it's best to make her final plea close to the time for votes. Dan asks if Frank believes ED told her that and he doesn't know but thinks that is why she waited until today to make a hard sell to keep her.
She keeps asking Dan about his vote and he doesn't know what to tell her.
Frank says the bridge is burned between him and Ian because he is going to be bitter about Brit being evicted ... and of course he isn't happy with Ian either.
They want Ian to think he has several options to turn to so he won't try so hard to win HOH (he doesn't want blood on his hands) because they need to get that little F***** out ASAP
They think with Ian gone Frank and Dani will rock the comps. Dan admits comps are not his strong suit

Brit has pulled Shane into the storage room and she is telling him all the reasons he should keep her instead of Dani
Shane asks about her final two deal with Ian and she says who told him that and he says Ian and she says she doesn't know why he'd tell him that because he doesn't have a final two with her
He wants to know if Joe would flip his book and he says yes he would.
She said that Joe's problem would be that she told him if she stays she'd be taking Dani's shot away from her
She says she will fight to stay and will hang on all night if she has too. She keeps telling Shane she is a bigger target than him and he would be safer if she stays instead of Dani.
He is agreeing with everything she is saying ... whether she is swaying him or not ... guess we find out tonight. She is also saying Frank wants her out and he doesn't want Dani out. She says she wants to be the one to send Frank home.
Shane says he has a lot to think about it. She likes Danielle but she didn't come her to finish 8th and she thinks they have a good shot if she stays. He worries about Dan and she says if Dani is here it is more awkward and it would be better if Dani was gone
She said she is good with Dan now and has been since 3 hours after it happened (in what fantasy does she expect us t be living in?) She is telling him that he is considered a pair with Dani ... (what about the belief she is a pair with Ian - he is supposed to give up His PAIR but she isn't?
Brit is lying during this now. And that makes me like her much less. She DID / DOES have a final two with Ian.
Shane says he'll think about it more

2:32BBT cam 3 Joe and Shane talk. JOe asks Shane if he is positive that Danielle won't go back to Dan. Joe said are you positive and Shane said not 100% but he was pretty sure. Shane tells Joe that the whole house target seems to be Ian. Joe is really worried about Danielle getting back with Dan. Both of them are positive that Brit would never work with Dan again. Joe really does not want to have to work with Dan. Joe tells Shane that if they keep Dani in the game, someone is going to put Dani up against Shane. If they keep Brit, they would put Brit up against Ian. Shane says the only thing that bothers him is that he heard from Ian that Ian had a f-2 with Brit. Shane says she confronted Brit about it and Brit said no and she doesn't know why Ian would say it. They talk about how good there deal with Frank is because they are definitely final 4 for them. But they are worried about being able to get Frank out after that. After awhile Ian joins them Shane tells Ian that Brit made a pitch to him to keep her. Ian says he feels like both girls are good competitors and Brit was up on that ship just as long as Danielle. Ian like either girl and would work with either one. Ian says the only thing is that they all want to get rid of Frank, so why give Frank what he wants by sending Brit home. Shane says the only problem is that Brit would never work with Dan again. Joe says again that he doesn't want to work with Dan and Shane says he doesn't either. (remember, Ian wants to get the quack pack together). Shane goes back over how they would all be put up against each other. Ian says that they are all studs in there but they only have to squirm tonight if Jenn is still in it at the end (HOH comp). Ian says that if Frank is still in the house at the end of the game, he will win. Ian says he is leaning to keep Brit and Shane says he still needs to make up his mind. Ian makes a few more points to keep Brit. We have a bit of Trivia and then Shane & Ian leave.

Joe tells Jenn that he feels like she is and it makes him sick to his stomach after the things Dan said to her (Dani) Joe thinks that Dan is the most dangerous player in this game. Jenn says that after todays vote, Jenn & Joe should go talk to Dani about Joe's concerns. Jenn says if Danielle went back to Dan all the women in the world would be furious. Jenn reminds Joe that after tonight, Ian is not going to have his camaraderie that he's had before and Dan is still going to be alone. Shane comes n and they stop talking.

What is really funny is not only does everyone have an alliance with everyone else, when talking to one they want the other out and when talking to the other they want the other out. While A is talking to B they both want C out but when A is talking to C they both want B out and when B and C are talking they both want A out, and so on and so forth.
My final thoughts as I am off to teach a water aerobics class (I have Big Brother DVRed so I will watch it when I get home, then while I am watching BBAD I will catch up here...) Have fun everyone!

If I'm remembering correctly, it was season 6, and it lasted 14 hours. Jennifer, from The Nerd Herd, won. Her and Kaysar were left and Kaysar made a deal with her before going out.
I am so upset. My station is blocking BB for Football and the RNC. After Dark will be on before they air tonight's show. Ugh....
Also, I wish Shane would team up with Ian and Joe. Then it would be two teams of Brains, Strength and a floater. Britney is soooo much more entertaining than Dani. Who thinks everything is about her. If I see Dani make duck lips one more time... (head explodes)

Hey Dishers! Happy Live Eviction Night and (hopefully) Endurance comp on the feeds! So excited - less than an hour to goooooo!
Ok, I have to give my 2 cents. I think that the houseguests are crazy to evit Brittany. I am totally over Danielle and I am afraid that she is going to get to the end. Ian is just a child in a grown up game and needs to not drink anymore. Jenn is a total turnoff to me because she floated all this time until last veto. Joe is floating too but you know, his intuition has been right on. He knows when something is up and speaks it but doesnt always act on it. I really do like him. Dan is the puppetmaster this game I think. Shane would agree with anything and has no clue what this game is about.. Frank, what can I say, he is playing a good game, but wont make it far since he cant play for two weeks. He will be backdoored and will look back at that veto and wish he had given up instead of taking that deal. AND I cant understand for the life of me why Joe and shane decided late today that they need to do what Frank wants and vote Brittany out. WHY!!!!!!! Frank has no more power, why do what he wants.. grr irritating. I really thought late today that they would figure out that saving Brittany would be good for their game but no they are afraid of frank.. but my god his power is over dude! The way things are going I see Danielle and Jenn going final two and I am not happy about it. I want to see Joe and Brittany in the end so Brit can win!! Just my thoughts. I hope to god that Jenn doesnt win hoh..
