MVP Nominee and PoV Players

Everyone's hugging Elissa..  She is the 3rd Nominee, per America's MVP Vote. Helen and McCrae were picked to play for PoV, in addition to Judd as HoH and Aaryn, Kaitlin and Elissa as nominees.

Howard: Hey.. Good luck.
Elissa: Thanks.
Howard: It doesn't matter just have fun in the competition. Don't worry about the votes.

Elissa: I'm not surprised.
Candice: I thought it was gonna be one of the boys.

Helen: You'll be ok.
Elissa: I kind of just want to go home, to be honest.

Ginamarie enters..

Elissa: You put me up.
Ginamarie: I swear on my life.. On my nephews.  (puts hand on bible) I swear.
Elissa: Please don't do that.  It's disrespectful.  I just really want to go home.  Just please all vote me out.  This sucks. This is not fun.

Candice pulls her into another room.

Elissa: I'm up every week.
Candice: So was your sister and she won the whole thing.  Go read your bible and focus.
Elissa:  It just sucks.
Candice: Just fight.  Search in your heart. You're up.  You have 2 options: to fight or not fight.  Find a quiet place and pray and decide what you want for yourself.

Helen comes in.

Helen: Honey, you're not going home. This house loves you.  Everyone loves you so much. I'm gonna fight to get you off the block as hard as I can.  Actually, I think this is good for you.. The target of you being MVP just went away. It proves the you're not the MVP, because you're the one on the block.  So be glad it's you.. And on top of it, you've got the votes to stay here. Don't you agree Candice?
Candice: Yes.  She just needs to get her mind right.  You just have to fight.  Your sister fought every week she was here.

Helen: You've got me and McCrae fighting for you. And McCrae loves you.  And Judd loves you. And even if Kaitlin or Aaryn comes off the block, you're not the one going home.

Elissa: Thank you so much.
Helen: We love you.
Candice: Put your poker face on.  You're fine.

Amanda theorizes that Elissa nominated herself..

11:06am
Cockpi
Amanda, Judd, McCrae, Andy

Judd: Did you win it?
McCrae: No. I wish! Part of me thinks Howard got it and put her up.
Amanda: Part of me thinks she put herself up.

Amanda: What do we think about getting rid of Elissa?  If she's not MVP, why do we need her?
Judd: For a number.  Why don't we just get rid of Aaryn?
\McCrae: I like that.

Let the head spinning scenarios begin.

Judd: I might try to win.
Amanda: Try.  and If you win, just keep it the same.
McCrae: Be like, I wouldn't say that to you if I already knew you were going up.
Amanda: Ginamarie went to hug her and she was like, don't touch me.
Judd: We'd all have known if GM got it..
Andy: I'm trying to think if the MVP is in this house.
McCrae: America wouldn't vote her.
**they would if they weren't listening.. or were misdirected.

Spencer joins..

11:16am...
Storage Room
Judd, Elissa, Helen

Judd: If you win PoV, use it on her, and that way we'll get to see who the MVP puts up right away.. We wont have to wait a week.

Andy stays after the others leave..

Andy: Just fight your ass off, girl.  As long as Aaryn doesn't win it, doesn't matter.

Spark up your feeds, folks!  The HGs collective heads are spinning! As shocking as this is, it's exactly the kind of paranoia and havoc that  the MVP twist was intended to create.  If you don't have the feeds yet, and you'd like to check them out, here's a 2 day free trial.

1:13pm BBT - Trivia! The PoV Comp is now underway! We'll have a PoV Spoiler and Aftermath post up as soon as the feeds come back and the HGS tell all.

Well, is that because America doesn't like her, or did they misunderstand the vote this week? Maybe both. I would like to know the vote totals. Elissa really doesn't seem suited to the. Game. I would still vote Aaryn out.

I'm extremely upset that Elissa was put up. We ALL know Aaryn was the houseguest that actually had the most votes. They should of just told Judd that Aaryn was going up as MVP nominee and that he had to pick another nominee. It's obvious Elissa went up because many people thought they were voting for MVP.

I had a feeling this would be happening...I HATE IT!!!!!! Voting starts in the middle of the show and the twist wasn't announced until the end. Feels a bit like the show planned for this (which...in the world of 'great tv'...I'm sure they did and are LOVING it!). People in the house like, Aaryn, will think America hates Elissa. I am not looking forward to the continued bullying and ugliness she is about to spew in the house...AGAIN!!

If Elissa has any bit of respect for her sister, game on! I feel like this vote really didn't work out how cbs expected. I hate that I have to work til 11 tonight but as always I'll be tuning into the dish for the updates after POV.

Rooting for Elissa to win. Otherwise shes gonna get her wish and be sent home. Its apparenrt to me, She don't need jury money like the others.

Good afternoon Carolyn and fellow BB addicts

I haven't read anything else yet just the fact that Elissa is the third nominee LOL I'm sorry but this is hilarious that her fans, who can't seem to read or listen, voted her for MVP nom thinking they were voting for her for MVP. Why did they think there was a rewording of the MVP nomination by Julie?

Now to try and catch up in the two and half hours I have between my two jobs.

If I don't get back have a great night :)

My first thought was, "Darn, America wasn't listening" and that was based on the number of comments here that were about having "just voted 10 times to give [insert HG name] MVP."

Then, my next thought was, "Well, some people have worried that Elissa would suffer backlash because she would be assumed to be MVP (and, of course, no amount of denial on her part would be believed)."

Which leads me to wonder: Maybe *the masses* didn't misunderstand so much as they figured, by putting Elissa up she would not have to defend herself against charges of being MVP, and that she is well-liked enough to be safe from eviction, even by going up on the block.

Elissa is definitely helping this scenario, with her claims of despair and desire to *just go home.* With everybody rushing to her side, to give her strength and support, and advising her to *get it together,* she's been pretty much exposed as a vulnerable player with no more being America's favorite.

I'm sure Aaryn was the first choice by far, but my vote was for Elissa. I like her as much as any of the others, but I'd like to see her really fight for herself in the game and not float through because she's Rachel's sister.

I feel very certain that many of Elissa's fans didn't know that they were voting to nominate her! I voted 10 times for Aaryn, but midway through my voting, I was reading the directions and thought perhaps I had voted wrong, then read again and knew I wasn't. It is also possible that many people weren't watching the live show and didn't understand. I don't believe that the majority of America would vote her MVP,then nominate her for eviction.

I am laughing in amusement and happiness. What a terrific twist. I believe it was a combo of Aaryn actually receiving the most votes and Racbel's fans either jumping the gun and/or not paying attention. Elissa does NOT seem to understand this game at all. She truly should have put up Howard last week. She won't listen to the advice of people who DO get the strategy of BB. She adds nothing to the show or the gameplay of the houseguests who understand the game. As much as I dislike Aaryn, I am so fed up with Rachel's fans carrying her in the game while she makes stupid mistake after stupid mistake, that I'm really, really hoping Elissa makes her exit this week.

I don't understand how CBS can do this and go through with this when they have to know the integrity of the votes was ruined when people are voting for someone and it turns into voting against that person it is neither fair to the fans or to Elissa...Don't get me wrong I am not her biggest fan, in fact, she is getting on my nerves! However, instead of going through with votes they knew were wonky they should have just not had an mvp this week and made that the twist!

Hi Carolyn and Dishers,
Sorry I've been a lurker this summer. I've missed chatting with ya'll. Hugs!

Anyway, I have to put in my two cents about this MVP nom: I'm such a conspiracy theorist... I think production didn't pay any attention to "America's vote" and put Elissa up for dramatic television. Otherwise, this would be a boring week with the HGs mostly in agreement to vote Aaryn out.

I've had a feeling ever since Judd nominated Aaryn as one of his noms that AGP might have to do something to keep the drama going. I didn't think they'd put Elissa up, but once I saw that she was the 3rd nom, I said to myself "of course!"

Anyway, hope everyone is having a fantastic summer! Thanks, Caro for all that you do! :)

As for the integrity of the votes, I believe that a lot of people did not understand the rules. However, I don't put much weight into the word integrity when 15 people come into the house as unknowns and 1 comes in with a built in fan base.

This is seriously unfair to Elissa. We all know that if people weren't confused, Elissa would not be the 3rd nominee. They shouldn't have even made this twist to the MVP. It almost seems like they were planning for this to happen to add more drama into the show.

Also, why is Amanda so sure that Elissa is MVP and then put herself up? This is why I'm liking her less and less as the days go by.

Something is fishy here and I don't think that many people "thought" they were still voting for MVP and not a nominee.

Elissa is my favorite player, time for her to step it up and play like she deserves to be there and win. Good luck Elissa, this fan is rooting for you :)

All along I have felt that Elissa's being there was a bit unfair, but I would not have voted her up on the block now that she's already there.

This is why when I voted for MVP I voted my third choice. To avoid this from happening. Everyone probably voted for Aaryn and GM, and some people who hate strong women have it in for Amanda.

I realized that the HoH would put up the same one's the audience is likely to vote for (Aaryn and/GM), so I voted my third choice thinking that would be the replacement America's choice nomination if my first choice were already up on the block. I am betting most people didn't stop to think about this.

If they let America choose again, we need to tell people not to vote for someone who is likely to be put up by the next HoH. That's just wasting your vote and putting your potential favorite house guest in jeopardy.

OMG, this is a huge mistake. CBS didn't make this clear enough or do this carefully enough. Viewers were confused about what they were voting for. And I suppose there is no way to go back and fix this.

If this is true, viewers are going to be hugely upset if Elissa goes home!

Confused or not, it is not the fault of the network if people don't take the time to read or are incapable of understanding what they have read. If people vote without reading or are confused and vote anyway, this is the outcome they get. I know the name of the game is Big Brother but BB can't bail you out because people couldn't take the time to know what they were doing.

I think that ABSOLUTELY America knew what it was doing when Elissa was put up. They, like me, are sick of the Brenchels giving her MVP every week for no reason, because she has no discernible strategy.Rachel won BB, I get it. But this isn't a monarchy. It's a reality show. Everyone who was annoyed split their votes between others for MVP and there was not enough force to unite them. Everyone aw their chance and went, "Thank God. Enough." Period. Now that she's up, I hope she goes so the MVP can wreak havoc more naturally.

It's just my personal preference to enjoy seeing someone who has never had the opportunity to play big brother win it each season.

But, if CBS didn't care about fairness at all in Big Brother, the house guests would be the friends and family members of CBS employees every year.

If they didn't care about pleasing the audience, Rachel's sister, Elissa, never would have been on this season in the first place.

Afternoon Carolyn and BB Dishers!

Grrr.....I knew this would happen bcos A...people dont read or actively listen much these days and B....so many were upset about the MVP thing to begin with and felt Elissa had an advantage. No matter that she could be and WAS sitting on the sofa right next to 2 other people on the block, and that it took the HOUSE to decide who stays or goes. Lots of people wanted her out bcos of her "advantage".

What I find funny is that Amanda wasnt the MVP as it seemed she was the one most were gunning for after Aaryn. I know shes a bit bossy and pushy but I think shes playing hard for her agenda and I can respect that. Not so happy with Judd as HOH this week afterall. I cant get a fix on him at all. And In light of how things turned out I wish he wouldve kept his orig nom choices in place. I waited til the last min to vote and it seemed like he was still gonna nom Gm and Kaitlyn.....so I split my votes evenly for Aaryn and Howard.

Im hoping Elissa wins veto but only if she hasnt given up and stops stating that she wants to leave. If she truly feels that way, then I wont have a problem with the house voting her out but she needs to make a decision. It appears that BB did not tell anyone for sure that it was america that voted.....and that could be a blessing. I can only imagine how she would feel knowing that she was in most peoples favor for 3 weeks then suddenly looked upon as the villain. I think that would screw ME up.

Maybe if I had someone like an Ian or Jordon or Kaysar, Amanda would not be one of my faves. But in a house full of shady ____ and people who change their minds more often than their underwear, I still like her. She is bossy and she does talk too much, but she has been loyal to the people she said she would be loyal to until they had to fight among themselves. That's more than most of them have done. She has also stuck up for people against the bullies of the house while continuing to be friendly to people who were on the outside with no friends. I don't call that being two-faced, I call it being decent. Maybe she does seem heartless in the game, but so does everyone else. She has shown heart as a human being. That leads me to another issue-

-she said 'we love you Jeremy' when he got evicted and now Helen is using that as an excuse to turn against her. Seriously? Helen, the self-appointed head cheerleader for anyone who wins a comp. Helen who spent the last few days before Jeremy was evicted being a mother figure to him. In BB UK they tell everyone who gets evicted that they love them, even if they had arguments with the person, because it is a game and they don't want anyone leaving the house feeling bad.

I know I can't force people to like Amanda just because I do, but frankly I am disappointed in the behaviors of a lot of the HGs. I will continue rooting for Amanda and McCrae, possibly Andy. Everyone else is to be decided at a later date.

Good afternoon everyone!

Does anyone else wonder what production said to Elissa last night because after she came of DR she told several people that it was 100% America's vote this week for MVP and she was acting very strange, giggling and acting very secretive ?

I feel quite sure that Rachal's fans misunderstood the instructuons.

Grendon I completely agree with you (again!!!) I am not a tv only, I happen to love Amanda and I also put all my. Toes for Elissa. I don't understand the Amanda haters. I think she is one of the most entertaining people on the show! Yeah she's aggressive but I like strong women and absolutely love her diary room sessions. I think she has the best sense of humor and is a natural wit. I also think she is georgeous with natural hair (no extensions)and beautiful skin. Go Amanda and by the way I also love McCray!

I read the instructions and voted correctly. I voted to put Elissa up on the block. I'm glad to see that the power was taken away from her. It's time she had to fight to stay in the game. The other 15 came into this game with a huge disadvantage. Rachel won because she was a fighter and a competitor, why should her sister not have to fight the same way. We are talking about a half million dollars and at the rate the game was going the others should have just packed up and went home. The nature of the game is expect the unexpected. Elissa was expecting to be able to float thru the game because of who she is. It's obvious that many others feel the way I do...So may the best man or woman win.

I split mine between Elissa and Amanda and I knew what I was doing. I like Amanda but she needs to get off her high horse. She needs to eat some humble pie.

Also Elissa is acting the same way she did the first time she was anominee. She whines and complains and wants to go home. Fine, send her home. She does nothing for this game. She's a dud.

I've been kept away from my feeds off and on today by neighbors and friends, in person and by telephone calls all of them meaning well by wishing me a Happy Birthday, but the fact is I wanted to just plunk myself in from of my feeds. You know when the birthday has a 0 on the end it's not a great day.

Now that I can watch they are out playing thie game and I'm falling asleep.

I too think the Rachel fans miss- understood how the vote was being done this week. That along with many of us voting before Judd made his picks for the block. Oh well hopefully Aaryn will be gone Thurs.

So as the day wears on I find myself, a huge Elissa fan, OK with the fact America put her up. This is a game and if my favorite player is to win, she has to play right?

Hoping to see the next update and read that Elissa won POV...

I don't understand how BB fans can't see what happened with the votes.

Aaryn #1 pick
Kaitlin #2 pick? (maybe)

Not everyone likes Elissa. With Judds NOMS possibly in line with both Americas top 2 picks, Elissa would by default become the MVP nom being the #3 pick.

Yay Carolyn!

I am so glad someone else is rooting for McCrae. I know you can't keep your fingers crossed and type at the same time so I will cross fingers and toes.

Grendon, I couldn't agree with you more ....although I always agree with everything you post. I'd love to see Aaryn kick rocks this week but I'm also so over contestants coming in with an upper hand. It is happening too much the past few years. BB is my favorite show and has been since season 1 and I'll likely watch no matter what, but I'd love a good...old fashioned season with no one having some kind of advantage.
PS thank you Caroline for all you do! You're awesome!!!

OMG Carolyn and Grendon did you just hear the Helen a d Elisa hate fest against Amanda and McCray? I don't think I'm going to be able to watch the campaign tonight to get her gone. I hope like hell Amanda is not the newMvp nominee because she will go home. Helen and Elissa sure have a short memory about keeping their alliance together. That didn't tale Spencer, Howard and Candace long to change Helen's mind. I'm still curious where Judd and Andy Stand. They swore allegiance to the end with McCray and Amanda.

Helen is an instigator. Now she is going around to everyone campaigning to get them out.
