BB10 Steven Daigle's Reaction To Chima's Departure

There's so much going on today!! In addition to everything happening on the feeds, We're hearing from BB Alumni who'd like to weigh in on the whole Chima situation, which CBS is now officially spinning as "Chima has been evicted by the producers from the BB house for violating the rules." Full CBS Statement...

We know from the HGs statements on the feeds late last night that such is not actually the case, but that's their story, and they're stickin' to it... Per usual, the tv only viewers will lap it all up and be none the wiser...

Dishers, please welcome BB10's Steven Daigle & his exclusive BBDish Blog!

by Steven Daigle

So I haven't blogged really since everyone first went in the house this year, but the Chima exit is totally worthy of some time. I first wanna say that I haven't seen the feeds from her leaving and have only heard rumors about a mic going in the hot tub and something about some m&ms in a drink, whatever that is about. Stolen from http://bb11dish.com

I think what she did is very disappointing and frustrating, whether you liked her or not. There are so many people out there who would kill for the opportunity that she got and she basically, for a lack of better words, took a Sh*t on all those people. Stolen from http://bb11dish.com

Everyone's first reaction is to call her names and bash her because she took the easy way out and walked. Truth be told, we really need to understand that she just didn't have the mental strength to deal with the house or the incredible amount of pressure she was under. If you have never been in the house you can never fully understand the emotional rollarcoaster ride it puts you on, constant adrenaline, fear, paranoia, excitement, boredom and anticipation all streaming through your veins 24 hours a day. There are only a small portion of the population that can actually deal with those pressures, and she aint one of them.
Stolen from http://bb11dish.com
The sad part is, whether you liked her or not, she made GREAT TV, and we watched to see what craziness or drama she would start day after day. Unlike Jessie, who a few claimed made good TV (he did not make good TV, he caused drama but he was just annoying and foolish and I usually turned the channel when he came on) Chima was truly unpredictable and kept you coming back for more, I personally didn't like her, but I couldn't wait to see what she was gonna do next. Stolen from http://bb11dish.com

What I am thinking most about now is what kind of reaction she is getting from the producers.

Being behind the scenes, you quickly learn that of all the bad things you could do in the Big Brother house (excluding endangering yours or someone else's safety) is walk out. From day one it is drilled into your head that you walk out that door and you are burning a bridge that can never be repaired and basically CBS and Ourhouse will wash their hands of you.

One thing Big Brother hates is a QUITTER, and they are the first to tell ya! I have a feeling that what Chima thought was important enough at the time to walk out of the Big Brother house isn't even going to compare to the backlash that is going to occur now. Not only will she have to face all of the Contractual issues with CBS (especially paying for a mic she intentionally destroyed which costs about $5000), but the fact that Production will probably turn their back on her, and now America is going unleash it's fury and that fury will probably be devastating to her. Stolen from http://bb11dish.com

She is in store for a world of hurtin' and hopefully she will stay off of the Internet for about the next 6 months, otherwise she will be needing some serious therapy. What Big Brother puts you through (which she couldn't hack) ain't even remotely close to what the Big Brother Fans will do to her. I wish her luck after she gets released, SHE IS GONNA NEED IT...

Oh and Chima if you read this.. "Suck It Bitches" is my Big Brother saying, OK Miss Thang...

Well said Steven.

If BB, or Chima's family were smart, they will do like that woman from the Got Talent thing and place her somewhere for a few days.

She may not be my fav houseguest, but I hope people keep it together and not get all crazy ass stupid.

Stephen you are so right about public opinion. What Chima get's from BB Fans is going to be rough. I truely think she should not have been in that house to begin with.

Thanks for the blog!

Steven - thank you for your input here. I agree that she is in for a lot of back lash when she gets out of there and i can only hope she seeks the help and support she will need to come out of this a healthier person.

Very well said Steven!

I think it's important to mention also that Chima knew what she was getting into, more so than others. With her being a friend of Marcellas, I am sure he warned her what to expect. She really is going to need a lot of help now.

Thank you, Steven, for your input. And thank you for your Iraq blog. I thoroughly enjoyed that as well.

I case you can't tell, I am a BIG fan of yours and wish you could have stayed in the BB house a lot longer.

Best of luck to you in the future!

Thank you so much for your incredible insight Steven. As a former houseguest you know what it's like once you are out and basically thrown to the wolves (i.e. rabid fans). I can't imagine the edit she is going to receive now, as you pointed out, that she quit.

Though I abhor her personally, I do hope that she gets the help she needs now. Someone that is so angry definitely needs to seek professional help.

Please visit us again, I'd love to hear more from an insider's point of view!

I totally agree with you Stephen! Thanks for the sort of inside info on what awaits her.

I don't think Jesse's eviction was so much it as her loss of POWER. Having been the victim of a violent crime, being powerless is probably her worst fear and why she went to the dark place.

I think off the show she is probably a fun diva. But unfortunately she may have ruined her whole life for awhile and definitely any media career she wanted.

By the way, Stephen I just have to say on the "Suck it b*tches" I get to see the Kathy G tonigh and I am sooo excited!

Love BBDISH!! you all rock! I don't have the patience to watch all the back and forth fishes on the feeds lately so I am do glad you do what you do for us to lead somewhat productive lives! ;D

It's kind of difficult for me to accept let alone agree with the words of someone who prefaces their statement admitting that they don't know all of the facts. But thank you for weighing in, Steven, and thanks for your viewpoint as someone who was on the inside.

Totally awesome Steven! Well said!

I remember first seeing Chima on the pagent show on We I think called "Little Miss Perfect?" I could be wrong on the station and title of the show.

She was always a judge for these kidde pagents and some of the things that came out of that womans mouth regarding those kids! UGH. Carly Simon had it right for Chima as well..."You're So Vain!"

Good riddance and no more hyeina (sp) laughing either! :D

Steven,

I agree with you 100%. Chima obviously had unresolved issues in her life & really had no business going into the BB house. I hope she will get the help she really needs. The reaction once everyone finds out about it will be devistating to Chima. I hope she can get through this. And the only way to do so is for her to get the help she needs as previously stated. Thanks for your comments about this unfortunate situation.

Those are some very interestin insights about CBS, Steven. Thanks for sharing.

Walking out is practically unheard of in the U.S. but I'm also a fan of BB in the UK where they've had plenty of walkouts and I must say that I agree with the mentality of hating people who walk. I understand that they all have their reasons; some good and some lame but at the end of the day you took a very special spot on a very special show. Thousands would kill for that spot. If nothing else walking out is disrespectful to the fans, your fellow housemates and the company that brought you on that show. They saw a lot in you and you threw it away.

All Chima had to do was play for the veto, chill for five days and then enjoy a paid vacation in a beach house with Jessie whom she likes (God knows why.) How can you not hack THAT? So what, you didn't win the money. Most people don't. Enjoy the ride.

I'm surprised this didn't happen earlier. It seems the only reason Chima made it this far is because everyone promised her she'd be safe week one, her friends were in power weeks two and three and Russell didn't target her in week four. The second things turned a little sour Chima freaked out.

Even if I did like Chima I'd still be utterly disappointed in her. Walking should be reserved for if a close family member is dead or dying. Otherwise grow a pair and get evicted!

What's that term for committing someone to a psychiatric hospital? Like they did with Britney? That's what should happen to Chima, and I'm not being ugly either. I wonder if she'll do any interviews, Stephen says production turns their back, etc...if she already broke her contract, I guess she won't be seeing Ross, etc. Before this happened, I was hoping that SOMEONE in an interview would point out the fact that she repeatedly called Russ a sore loser last week, and ask her if she considered herself the same?

Thank you for taking the time to blog for us Steven. I enjoyed reading your insights.

It's sad that Chima risked more than winning the $500,000 -- she has put her reputation and future work opportunities at serious risk. I hope she gets some help but I have a feeling she is not at that stage in her life yet.

if you look back, chima's melt down started when russ turned down her advances. She is in her mid 30's and he in his 20's and she spent weeks rubbing on him and flirting. He flast turned her away and thats when I noticed a mental meltdown

Stephen, thank you for taking time to share your insight about what the reality (ha-ha) is of what it's like to live in the BB house. I agree 100%. Chima was not cut out to deal with the pressures. I truly believe she thinks the CDT was personally aimed at her to ruin her HOH. She also commented last night that AGP told Michelle to put her up. She is a very sad, angry person & that is a heavy burden to carry through life. I hope she gets help. And like you said, I hope she stays away from the Internet because there is a lot of madness out there. I also feel very sorry for so many fans that would love to get their chance on this show & she took that chance & basically slapped all of them in the face. But on the other hand, I am of the belief she is someone that needs compassion & I wish people would soften their hearts. But, on the other hand I realize the anger people have. So it is all very two-sided.

♥♥♥♥♥Love you, Stephen♥♥♥♥♥

I follow you on FB & Twitter. You make me laugh so much.

The girl needs serious psychiatric help, and it is truly tragic that she had a breakdown on national television.
Hope her precious grandparents don't get any hate spewed towards them, they don't deserve it, but you know someone will be mean enough to talk trash to them too.

I wanted to comment on the comment "It's kind of difficult for me to accept let alone agree with the words of someone who prefaces their statement admitting that they don't know all of the facts." Nobody knows all the facts, the feeds were off for most of it and we can only go by CBS's official release and the piecing together what feeds we did have. I believe I am just as informed on what went down as anyone except Chima and Big Brother Production...

Thanx, Steven. Well put. And, unlike one of the other posters, I was glad you made the caveat about not having all the facts. Since your blog wasn't really about who did what to who, but about the results and backlash of Chima walking (or pushing AGP to the point of evicting her), specific details aren't of any importance to your comments. What you state are facts of which you, as a previous HG, are well aware.

My concerns for Chima go beyond what the reaction of CBS/AGP will be. I'm terribly afraid whenever Chima goes on a job interview, if she is presented with her behavior in the BB house, she will blame it on anybody and everybody else in the BB House.

I can just hear a prospective employer responding, "Well, if you are unhappy with something we say or ask you to do, are you going to react as you did in the BB House? Are you going to throw a fit, and cast aspersions on everybody you perceive to be involved in the atrocity committed against you? I think we'll pass on this one. Sorry."

If she wanted to be an "Omarosa Villain," that would have been okay. However, even Omarosa didn't walk out, or destroy expensive electronic equipment forcing the hand of the producers into evicting her early.

She does have the support of a loving grandmother. I only hope that gracious woman is able to get Chima to listen to her.

Steve you are still a sweetheart. Great insight! We dont know what it is really like to be there and we do not see it ALL on the feeds.
I dont like chima but more than that, as Jeff said, I feel sorry for her. She has alot of issues and the BB house is no place for therapy.

I thought the exact same thing when I read it. No one will ever know all of the facts except Chima & AGP. That being said, we don't need to know all the facts. It's over & done with.

Thank you again for taking the time to give us insight.

Hi Steven,

Thanks for addressing my concern. But I wasn't referring to the events that happened after the feeds were cut out. My sentiment came from this:

"I first wanna say that I haven't seen the feeds from her leaving and have only heard rumors about a mic going in the hot tub and something about some m&ms in a drink, whatever that is about."

That was all stuff that we *do* know about because they occurred prior to the cut out. Thus, they aren't in question.

But whatever, I personally preferred the part of your post that spoke to your experience. And as I said earlier I appreciate you taking the time to share it.

All the best,
MoNYC

Thank you Steven for a voice of compassion and understanding. I agree whole heartedly with you. People do just not understand the pressure the HGs are under and when outside influences change your game... it must be overwhelming.

Chima was not a favorite of mine... but she was GREAT TV. I seldom read the blogs anymore (thanks to Flash back) because they are so biased in favor of 'Barbie and Ken'. Nothing J& J do can go wrong and behaviors and words uttered are not even criticized. I heard Jordan again use the fa***t term Thursday night and it seems OK to all. I find it disgusting because it comes out so easily when she says it. So it always seem to matter who can do what depending on who is liked or not. That is not fair. But whatever... I hope Chima is OK and she may regret her last juvenile tantrum. Maybe she and AG should meet at the White House for a Beer after acting so stupidly. ;-) It's a game, people. Stop the hate.

I loved you last year and lost all interest after your group left. This year I like all house guests... only had some slight dislike of a couple. I like somebody who plays the game... and so far the only Game Jeff has played was given to him. It was a good move and I wish him luck.

I am happy Russell is still there...

Steven, thanks for the time you spent in Iraq. <3

Steven, you said a lot of what was bouncing around in my head. Thanks!!! It's a lot quieter in there now...(and in the BB house! ;)

I wanted to comment on the rumor about the m&m's in a drink. What I gathered from the feeds is that Michele is allergic to red dye and that Chima put red m&m's in her drink secretly. That is endangering another's health or safety in the house. Besides the mic incident which (again from what I gathered from the feeds) she has dropped her mic in the toilet several times already....so the proverbial straw that broke the camels back on that one. Accident is one thing, but vandalism is not only against the rules, but against the law, as is attempting to harm the health of another. In my eyes, Chima gave the producers no choice but to protect themselves and the others in the cast.

Thank you sofaking much for your blog. Hope we get to hear more from you!

Steven it took me a while to get back over here to comment with all the things that have been going on in the House ever since Chima departed, whether it was on her terms, as she is now claiming, or on a boot from CBS, which I tend to believe more.

Great insight and thank you. Welcome to the BBDish family and I hope we see more of you.

Me, being me, you can take that in any way you want. I'm the naughty child of the Dish.

Hope if New Orleans does indeed get an IGRA Rodeo, we get to see you here. I'd love to have drinks with you and talk some trash. I'm also formerly from Dallas so we would have a lot to talk about.

Hoping you blog for us again. While Jun cracks us up and we love love love her for that, you make us think and still give us a couple of laughs!
