BB12: Professor Ragan Speaks
Good Afternoon BB Lovas!! :)
Coming up to 11:00 AM, on the live feeds, a game changing talk happened between Ragan, Rachel & Kristin.
Without really knowing it, Ragan has exposed the Brigade, telling them to look at the pieces on the chessboard. It's a game of twos and threes, he says. He urges them to observe who hangs out with whom. He cautions Rachel ,especially, to think about where Kristin or Hayden would be positioned in the game after the other leaves. Kristin hangs out with Hayden and Kathy. Hayden is close to Enzo and Lane. He frankly tells Rachel, that though she and Brendon have pulled power moves in the game thus far, there are others who have not shown their hand, and are poised to take control...

Brendon has gone to get his laundry together leaving Rachel to stew in HoH.
Lane and Kristin are in the Cabana talking about Kristin's campaign and chances of staying in the house. Lane asks her if she talked to Brendon and Kristin says she told Brendon the same thing she told Lane.
Brendon returns to HoH. Rachel and Brendon agree that their next target is Matt. Rachel is adamant of getting rid of Kristin. It seems everything Ragan told her went into deaf ears... They think Hayden is more genuine. They think they can influence him.... Rachel's every second phrase is, "You have to win HoH, Brendon!"
Jedi training. Rachel goes into a tear about about why people think that Kristin and Hayden are strong competitors. More Jedi training. Brendon tells her to ask Britney and not to trust Ragan because he feeds everything to Matt. (**Effectively they have turned against the only person in the house not gunning for both of them...)
While they are busy training in HoH, downstairs...
Everyone is chilling pool side... Margarita parties and sunshine...
Up in HoH, they are planning on bringing Hayden to talk to him and tell him that Kristin and Ragan threw him under the proverbial bus with the most mileage in the world... Rachel seems to think they can manipulate Hayden.
As Hayden chills with the others outside...
12: 50 PM BBT
Rachel sees Britney in the HoH spy screen and goes to "kidnap" her. Her plans are foiled by Ragan who has come in to get something to eat. Brendon joins them shortly after.

Hayden and Kristin talk about smells... Kristin tells Hayden he has nothing to worry about. Talk turns to Rachel and how disgusting she is. (**Interesting to note: since the feeds went to them, Kristin has not said anything to Hayden about their meeting with Ragan up in HoH.)

Sleeping. Ragan joins them after leaving his dishes in the sink. He asks Brendon if her would like to spoon. Brendon says, "Why spoon when you can fork!" Some general chit chat ensues when Kathy, then Hayden pass through.

Rachel is telling (directing) Brendon to talk to Lane and make sure they are "good". She repeats that when talking to Hayden, he should offer him only a one week deal. Rachel believes that Britney is trying not to make it obvious that she is on their side, and she respects that. Brendon says as long as we trust her 100% and she trusts us 100%. Rachel believes so. Talk turns to Enzo. Rachel says that Enzo has told her he will vote how she wants. She wants Brendon to constantly be in Enzo's ear. (**I can imagine how much Enzo would enjoy that!)

Hayden and his wieners... After having his lunch, Hayden joins Enzo poolside.
Enzo: Thursday. One of us will be HoH and then the season starts.
They fall into a companionable silence. Talk turns to boredom, then sports. Britney has joined them outside.
Kristin: Are you sleeping? I wanted to catch you while you were by yourself.

Kristin joins Kathy who is napping in the Cabana. Kathy asks her whose votes she has. Kristin says hers, Ragan's and probably Britney's and Lane's. Kathy asks her if she talked to Brendon. Kristin says she did earlier with Ragan, but that Rachel is a big obstacle. She wants to talk to Brendon alone. Kristin tells her that Hayden will ally himself with the other boys (Enzo & Lane).
Kristin: They have a lot more to worry about with 3 or 4 strong boys together.
Kathy: Makes sense... What did Rachel say?
Kristin: She told me she doesn't trust me at all and that I am the biggest threat in the house... I asked what's the difference between me and him? In her eyes, I am more of a threat. I told Brendon you can keep someone in the house who is a straight shooter or someone who is more open-minded... I don't know which way Enzo or Lane would vote. They vote the same way... (**umm ding ding ding?)
Kristin: It's also important for me to stay on top of her (Britney) because she is an important vote. I'll talk to her again today and tomorrow. People are going to know by tomorrow. It seems, Brendon is unsure... It's strange for them to think I am more lethal than 3 or 4 guys.
Kathy's replies are whispered and unintelligible under Kristin's loud eating of an apple. Kathy tells her that Brendon is by himself in HoH and Kristin goes right up there.

Kristin: Are you sleeping? I wanted to catch you while you were by yourself.
Brendon: How's everything going?
Kristin: Tough. You know. The reason I wanted to talk to you by yourself is not because I don't want to hide anything from Rachel... I know you guys don't like me that much or trust me that much... If Hayden stays in the house. He will form an alliance with Enzo and Lane... Would you rather have 3 strong guys coming after you? Your vote is very important this time. It will be a determining vote... It looks like right now, I have three votes. I know it is a lot for you to think about but looking at the big picture I was never targeting you. If I win HoH next week, I promise not to put you up... I don't know how things will evolve with Rachel, but there is a good chance you and Rachel will be split up at some point and you need to play the game for yourself. You will have to do what is more important and best for you.
Brendon is interjecting a lot of yeahs.
Brendon: In this game, it's about the lesser of two evils. Longevity is important in this game.
Kristin: I wasn't mad after the Veto ceremony. I understand that it wasn't realistic for you guys to do that at all (**pull Hayden off). And I have to do this. (try to stay).
Brendon: I'll let you know... You're doing a good job.
It's short, intense and she leaves to go back to Cabana and report to Kathy. Feeds stay on them as the discussion goes from meds to pets to hair... More than likely, everyone else is napping or not talking in the house...

Ragan joins them. Kristin tells him she talked to Brendon by herself. Ragan asks Kathy if they can have a moment.
Kristin: I think Brendon is more worried about 3 guys than me.
Ragan:He should be.
Kristin: I'm going to try and get Lane and Enzo's vote too. It's worth a try. I think it would be more beneficial for myself and for other people that they need me. Those guys don't need me like you do.
Ragan: I think that.... I still don't understand the confidence you have....
Kristin: The thing is... I was talking to him about it... I think that whatever Enzo votes, Lane will vote.
Ragan: Why?
Kristin: I think they have done it so far. Enzo listens to Lane more than any other guys... I don't know if his plan is to get the guys together or if he is floating and have secret alliances. If he decides to keep me around, he's going to be looking for something down the line for me.
Ragan: Right
Kristin: If he decides to keep Hayden, it's an automatic alliance.
Ragan: That's why I don't get why you think that's a possibility for that vote. (Lane's)
Kristin: It's just that I don't think he was considering me at all. Kathy might vote for me. You might vote for me. Britney and maybe Brendon.
Ragan: You think Britney vote for you?
Kristin: I think she has a friendship with Lane but not an alliance. I think she thinks that if I go, there will be three girls... Kathy can't compete. Rachel won't last forever. That leaves her in the house with Alpha Males and you and Matt.
Ragan: I think the opposite is true. Britney knows the game. If she can get along in the game where she is perceived as a weaker player, which she's not, but perception is key in this game... That leaves her in a sweet spot... And I don't see Lane and Enzo lockstep either...
Kristin: Maybe you're right but I kinda insinuated that to Lane and he said I see that. Lane has a mind of his own... Enzo can be persuaded a lot easier, so whatever decision Lane makes, then Enzo would...
Ragan: I think it would benefit you to think of them separately...
Kristin: I know... I think people need to vote how it benefits them..
Ragan: Ideally yes. Numbers-wise, people don't want to find themselves on the losing side of the vote.
Kristin: I don't think the votes will be that close... so what does it matter?
Ragan: It matters. For you to get who do you want to get. You have to lock in, the hard to get for votes... One of the things that are in your favor you say "Don't lie to me." You would be going home anyway. Use sympathy to get people to say (what they will do)... There are some people who can take at face value more than others....
Kristin: I know...
Ragan: It's very hard for me to picture you (getting Lane's vote).
Kristin: Me either. That's why I'm going to focus on Brendon.
Ragan: What did Rachel say when I left.... because they will agree on what his vote will be... Have you talked to Britney yet?
Kristin: I'm going to talk to her again... I'm trying hard. I really really am.
Ragan is trying to gently bring her to reality that she shouldn't count on Enzo's, Lane's, or Matt's votes...
Round and round it goes. Where it'll stop, everybody knows....

Ragan: The threesome, each with tentacles in the house.... (**You're close Ragan! Figure it out! Lane - Britney, Matt - Ragan, Hayden - Kristin... Enzo - Meow Meow)
Ragan says he will go initiate some conversations to see where everyone's head is at, and he leaves Kristin alone in her HoH room.
Matt, Hayden and Kathy join her shortly after. Some desultory chatting goes on with a lot of silences. They come to the conclusion that jail is better than the BB house.

The only importance in this conversation is it shows that Brendon is clueless, and has not budged at all since talking with Kristin... In fact, he tells Enzo exactly what Kristin told him up in HoH. What Enzo has to say is basically just scamming Brendon. The bus is running over a lot of HGs in this conversation. Enzo tosses Lane. Brendon is tossing Ragan and Matt... Spark up the live feeds or catch it on FB...
Brendon has basically outlined everything that was discussed in HoH earlier with Ragan and Kristin. He also tells Enzo not to trust Matt, because he is behind this as well. Enzo is playing along telling him he would put up Kathy and Ragan or possibly Matt if he wins HoH...

He sort of sums up their discussion.
Rachel: So Enzo is not in an alliance with Hayden?
Brendon: No... Besides Britney would know that/
Rachel: why would Britney know that.
Brendon: The only thing he said was that Lane was surprised that Matt didn't put us up.. Did you talk to Britney.
Rachel: Every time I try to talk to her there are groupies around her... What did Kristin say when she came up the second time?
He says something about floaters which she didn't say. He says nothing about her promising not to put him up if she wins HoH.
Brendon: I wasn't listening to her half the time.
Rachel: That's cause she's a psycho b*tch and she likes drama... And have you noticed every time Britney comes up here, did you notice Matt and Ragan come up here? Like psycho groupies.
Brendon: You don't have to worry about Britney. If she didn't use the Veto on Hayden...
Rachel: She didn't use the Veto because I threatened her.
Brendon: You didn't threaten her.
Rachel: I did. I told her about putting up Lane. I threatened her in a non-threatening way. She didn't realize I was threatening her.... What was this final four alliance you were talking about with Enzo?
Brendon: That was all him...
Rachel: So Enzo likes us?
Brendon: Totally...
Rachel wants to know if there are any purely physical competitions. They both agree that it would be advantageous for them to ally with Enzo, Hayden & Lane. Brendon tells Rachel that Kristin told him that they would be split up eventually. (**Red Alert!)
Rachel: So she think you would even try to be on HER side over ME!!!??!!!??? (**angry)
Brendon: She wasn't trying to say that. She was trying to pitch why it would be advantageous for me to keep her over Hayden.
Rachel: She thinks you will be her friend and even remotely be close to her??? I will...
Brendon tells her to let it go.
Rachel: Are you kidding me?? She saw me sleeping and she came up here to TALK to YOU!!
Brendon kisses her to calm her down...
Rachel: I can't believe she waited until I was sleeping and she comes up here to try and talk to you about me leaving... What a f*ing b*tch...

UGH...Rachel needs to put her personal feelings aside and PLAY THE GAME! Yes, obviously Kristen will go against her, but so will Hayden. And Ragan is making such great points!! But because she's so blinded by the fact that she PERSONALLY hates Kristen, she won't listen to his logical advice and is now probably thinking Ragan is against her and is with Kristen!
Rachel can be smart, but she is making the DUMBEST move of the season right now!

Have you watched yet? I don't have a favorite yet, it takes me a while to warm up to the new group. However, I knew the first day the Christian would win - or at least I thought he would. All of his creations were fantastic! My favorite part would be when he would put on the clothes he was making - he was 'fierce'! And is fierce still . . .

I want to give Rachel just alittle bit more time before I say she is not paying attention to what Regan said. THe thing is with Rachel is she has to think things through for awhile before it sinks in for her. Like the deal with Britney about using the POV, after she thought about it overnight and talked it all out with herself and Brendon she realized that Britney shouldnt use the POV. I hope she does some fast thinking and figuring this out real quick.
Kevin, I wonder what the parents of his swim team kids think about his late night behavior. Not a very good role model IMO.
As predictable as it is, I am actually kind of starting to love how delusional Rachel, and especially Brendon are being. The fact that they feel like they can trust Hayden over Kristin, that they think Ragan is scheming with Matt, and that Matt is their next target just show that they don't have a CLUE what is going on in the game.
Brendon baffles me with his trust of other guests. It seems if anyone can look him in the face and talk to him he decides that they are trustworthy. Then those same people go back to the rest of the house and laugh about how ridiculous he is.
Okay, Genie, there are now two Stephanie's on the post . . . I will only accept greeting address to Stephanie WC or Stephanie from the West Coast - even though she also resides on the West Coast.

As far as Brendon trusting the other guys...I wonder if he just really likes the idea of fitting in because maybe he hasn't really fit in with a lot of guys because of the whole physics thing. At least these kind of guys. Just a thought. Don't get me wrong, I have a son with physics degree and son-in-law getting PhD in physics, so not saying anything against that, just maybe he has little different friends.
BTW, Kristen did not talk about Hayden. At least I don't think so and what is this about them manipulating Hayden?

so Ragan is probably the only person whi is not actively gunning for Rachel and Brendon and they are prepared to throw him under the bus. Then it will truly be them against the house.

I still feel the biggest detriment Rachel has in the house is Bren. I see no game on his part, yet he attempts to act as though his game is best. The only game he has is the continual kissing of Rachel.
Both of them have forgotten the cardinal rule of BB....

In effect, no matter what Rachel does it will be her vs 6/7 this week.
So not only is she not focusing on the Brigade, but now she's going to out Ragan and rally against an alliance that doesn't exist.

You are Correct, that is the way it went down. But why then is Rachel pissed at Kristin over it? She should direct her anger at Hayden.
I agree Genie and still say that her jealousy is just too much that she will never see past that. She has made up her mind now that Matt and Ragan are teamed up with Kristen and that is that!
To be honest, Rachael doesn't really have very good social game when it comes to this. She uses her body with the guys and is kind of awkward with the girls and if she doesn't like what they say, she attacks them. Think both her and Brendon are really going to be shocked when they get out.
At some time around 11am BB time Ragan tried to talk some sense into Rachel. One of his major points was: "Get out today, just hang out and observe others and who they associate with. That will tell you a lot about who will be with who next week."
What has Rachel done the last 2 1/2 hours? Hang out in the HOH and talk about how Ragan is flip-flopping! The girl needs to be sent home fast!

I hope you're right. Unfortunately, alot of the credit rachel's been given for making the right decisions I think is miss placed. It may have been right for her not to take Hayden off because it was a fake alliance, but in her position it would have been worth the risk. They have nothing and have done nothing to improve their position this week.
That's true Genie, You would know more than I. I haven't watched the feeds as much this year. Rachel has been doing a good job getting rid of all the alliances she knows of. I'm hoping she listened to Ragan and just pays attention to what is going on around her.

I'm just sticking my nose in the door here. Still paying bills and yes Left Coast I do remember when a few weeks ago you double paid your cable bill.
Every month I think I have a good system figured out but then I leave a few out and spend the money thinking they are all paid. But that's OK. The first 4 I pay are mortgage, electric, water and cable. As long as I don't double pay the mortgage we are OK.
Then as I mentioned in the Morning Blog comments, our AC window unit conked out this morning. TG it did it today when we have money. With this extreme heat advisory we have been under for what seems like 2 months now, we would have died in here without one. Almost $200 later, it's in the new one is in the window and all is good again, or as good as it's going to get.
Now I'm back to lurking. There were so many funny things said today both in the blogs and the comments, but I can't go back to search for them again. I should have pasted them to Notepad as I found them. Just know I thank everyone for the laughs.

Ok, OK, I know I’m one of the only last Rachel fans but this whole house is delusional. Starting with this never winning Brogade. There is only going to be one winner, and I can’t wait for them to go at each others throats.
And Brittney? I mean what is she thinking with all that underlining flirting with Lane, does she really think Its working? Asking him all those questions about what kind of girls he likes and him finding his soul mate, all the while waiting for a compliment. “How do you like my hair lane, up or down? Do you really think he gives a big whoa?
And then we have Matt who thinks he’s fooling everyone. The problem with that is when you’re walking around telling all those lies in the BB house it’s only time before your world comes tumbling down, ask Ronnie.

curler, Rachel is quite a character, I must say. I was thinking about her drunk act, and I'm not entirely sure. I think in part she is testing Brendon. She is worried, and rightly so, that he will never accept her as she is and she is not a fan of his browbeating manipulation. She clearly sees it, through her evil eye expression.
She is also playing the house. I'm not sure what her goal is exactly. Perhaps to keep them unaware that she is the brains not Brendon. Maybe just because that's how she entertains herself. She's like a sex kitten from an old movie. Kind of a modern day Mae West. She uses extremely overt sexuality as a tool, with total awareness.
I think she knows that she isn't manipulating the guys sexually, but she may think she is hiding behind it. Which she is. I have no idea how smart she is intellectually, but she is savvy as hell. I would say she is passive aggressive, but I don't think she is passive in any fashion. In her own incredibly bizarre way, she's a powerhouse. Somehow, the drunk thing is an act of domination, but I am not clear on what she was trying to accomplish. She may not be either.
I do have to say that although this season is not action packed as last season, it is however messing with my mind with all the mind games and lies that are going on.
It wouldn't matter if it was Hayden or Kristen...same goodbye message!

I think she uses all of this in her real life. It's how she makes a living. It seems like she is trying to figure out how to apply her sex kitten act to this situation. It's a big experiment for her, I think. She is a scientist, in more ways than one.
I don't get the sense she is trying to make Brendon jealous of other guys. She clearly is trying to make him jealous of her love for Vegas. But I honestly don't think it comes from a mean place. I think she is trying to find out whether he will accept her for who she is -- and the resounding answer is NO WAY. He is a selfish prig. She'll dump him eventually. It was apparent that the guys and girls were uncomfortable with some of her antics last night and I was embarassed for her watching.

There is no way to know for sure, but I think Rachel is aware of pretty much everything that is going on around her. She doesn't mind "making a fool" of herself, it's a tool. She wants them to think she's a "train wreck," so less of a threat when she has to play alone.
I think Rachel is all kinds of crazy and a million times more annoying when she puts on a show. But I don't think she is dumb by any means.

Rachel and Brendon are completely clueless where the HG's alliances are at because all they care about is spending time with each other. They may be book smart, but they both are awful at this game. Oh, I forgot about Kathy - so has everyone else which is pretty scary. She could float all the way to the final two. So to me this whole house is pretty darn KRAZY! And for all they want to say bad about Rachel, she has more HOH’s than anyone else, so until the rest of this house of fools can catch up they need to step up their game or step off the proverbial bus that keeps driving over Rachel and Brendon’s bodies.
I mean I like Regan, but I find it hard to trust his judgment when he has misread Matt. But as I sit here with my wireless headphones on and writing this blog many things have changed in the BB house since I started with this rant - except for Kristen’s same plea to stay in the house, which no matter how she keeps spinning it, she’ a goner.
