The live feeds went to fishies right around 9am BBT, indicating it's time for Wakey, Wakey, Houseguests!! Time to get up and entertain us some more on the live feeds! I know we're having Nominations today, but I don't know if we can expect a Food Related Comp or any Pandora's Box action before that. We shall see..
In a nutshell: When the HGs went to sleep last night, Ian was planning to nominate Frank and Jenn for eviction this week. Ian has told the rest of the remaining QuackPackers that Joe is his choice for ReNom, if need be.

Shane: I don't know.. Maybe he made a deal with Dan.
Joe: Just.. work on Danielle for me.. I need her vote. I voted for her twice. I just know her and Jenn are tight. But from what he said, you're completely safe and Danielle is completely safe.. I'm safe, but I would be the replacement nominee.. He wants either Jenn or Frank out. We're fine this week, but we gotta win next week.
Shane: I tried last night.
Joe: If Frank goes up and it sticks, we gotta get rid of him..
Talk turns to upcoming PoV Comps.. Otev, Morph.. etc. Short Bus BB chatter continues another minute, then they disperse, wondering when the backyard will be open...

Frank: I went up there and talked with little man too.. I didn't throw anyone's name out there.. not even Dan.. because I didn't want him to tell Dan I was throwin' him under the bus.

Jenn, Dan and Ian have now joined the wakeful.. With Joe, Frank and Shane already up, that leaves Danielle as our only missing HG at the moment.

I totally see where you are coming from RE your post about Dan. I've noticed a difference in Dan this go 'round from Season 10. Don't know if it's because the circumstances in the house and game are so different from his first time in the house, or what it is.
He's still my fave. That isn't going to change. But, I absolutely do get you. May not agree 100%, but you make much sense.

I agree with Grendon, special different treatment for specific HGs.. My first reaction was "this some how is going to get Carrot Top to be not nominated"..
I understand it's a loosely enforced rule but that announcement hadn't been made all summer.. all the HGs said they never heard it before and honestly Joe and Ian were talking about Joe's safety and how he could possibly be a renom... Not anything anybody else hasn't said while holding HOH this season.
You can't decide more than half way through the season to start enforcing a "rule"... Ridiculous!

I understand where people come from in criticizing Dan. But I don't really see him constantly using his faith. I didn't like him taking the Bible to Frank's room, at all. But other than that, all I see is him reading the Bible, which is normal behavior for a person of faith. I guess what I'm saying is...should a person of faith just not play the game? There is no way anyone in that house can win without some deception. So when someone like Dan does lie, everyone jumps on him, but it was okay for Britney to be going behind his back forming alliances because she isn't open about her faith? I think it is part of who Dan is, and he can't hide that. I love that no matter what happens from a game perspective, Dan is always respectful to people on a personal level. I happen to believe his relationships with people are very real. Just my opinion.

I am so glad you understand what I have been trying to say. It was never a case of right or wrong or wanting Dan fans to turn on him because I am not rooting for him. It was just a matter of how I feel and why I feel that way. In the grand scheme of life do I think that Dan is a vile, evil creature who will murder his own mother? Of course not. I just gave him credit for being a certain person in season 10 and realized that when the odds are not in his favor, he isn't the person I thought he was.

It's Christmas here in East Tennessee today, as The Mighty VOLS take the football field this evening for the first time this year! SO excited!!
Moving on to things I'm NOT excited about... starting with Ian winning HOH. We all know that Frank would have been evicted had the Coaches not hit the reset button, but that comp last night was made for Ian to win. No one else stood a chance. Production is in overtime mode trying to keep Ian, Dan & Frank safe... all of them.
Used to love Ian. Like love love love him. Not so much anymore. I didn't like how cocky he got when he was playing both sides and backstabbing those who truly did have his back. And now, he is so angry that he got busted as the mole, that he's failing to see who it was that got him busted. If he was as smart a player as he claims to be, he would realize it was Dan and also realize how pretty Dani is sitting right now. Makes no sense.
Not getting the Frank hate at all. He plays hard, with all he's got every single week. And as far as loyalty goes, he's the most loyal person left. He has only turned his back on those who turned their back on him first. And he's pretty honest, which is more than I can say for anyone else there. He deserves to be final 2 with Dan, in my opinion.
Frank is in a serious jam this week and I hope he gets out of it, since it appears no one else plans on helping him with that. As brilliant a move as Dan made this week, if he doesn't help Frank out somehow, I'll lose whatever respect I had left for him as a person... not a player, but a person. He was very serious about that bible to get himself off the block. Makes me wonder...
The only nice thing I have to say about Dani, is that she's getting a good edit.

Am I understanding correctly? Is someone blaming YOU because a lot of US don't like Danielle? Hmmm, I would take that as a compliment. This person must really consider you to be omnipotent. And if they think that those of us here who don't care for Danielle are bad, apparently they have never gone on a live chat or one of the really hateful sights. Tried live chat a couple times last year and read some blogs on a site when there was so much Shelly hate. This guy (or girl) is definitely aiming their indignation at the wrong person.

Go Ian! Loved it when Shane asked him about squatting on the disc and Ian replied, "I can't see it being beneficial."
Did anyone notice ole Eagle Eye pull out that tub of Cool Whip and dip his cookie into? When he was chewing a chunk of cookie dropped, hit his chest and bounced back into the tub. Joe then put the container back into the frig. Gotta love it!
There really are Fifty Shades to Dani's voice.
So many people have so many deals with so many different people that when this house of cards comes a tumbling down, the fallout will be sweet for us viewers.
Anyone notice Dan burp during the HOH comp? He apologized to his Mom for a burp. A burp, mind you. Well, Dan, (I always think of Sean Young's character in "Ace Ventura" when she is chiding Dan Marino), how about apologizing for those gleeful looks you gave Dani (in the arcade room) explaining that you saved both you and her by brokering a deal with Frank. When it didn't register in your brain that you really hurt Dani (she played this one to the hilt as if she working for a nomination for best dramatic performance by a newbie), didn't you think you should have acknowledged her feelings and apologized for what you put her through before delving into your masterplan?
And when Britney came to you and asked you from one Quack Pack member to another, if she was the target, you coldly responded, "You'll have to go and ask the HOH", there's something missing in your DNA. It's called empathy and that's what worries me. You stating to Dani that you've only cried three times in your life (Grandfather passing, your wedding and thinking you were going out the door of the BB house) It's not the brilliant game move you made (bravo to you), it's the way you did it, using the bible as an accomplice. (It's no wonder people have serious misgivings about organized religion). It's one thing if you weren't religious and used the bible to lie, but being that you're a good Catholic, you've perfected the art of hypocrisy. I wonder what your fellow parishioners think about the way you handled your "funeral" and using the Bible and your faith as part of it.
Frank stabs people in the front but you joyfully plunge that knife deep in the back and give it a twist for good measure. I don't doubt that if you win BB, you won't have a problem spending that money. I must be a different cat because my conscious would be telling me otherwise. Like Britney said, her vote will be based on how people treat other houseguests in the house.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall, when Dan has a child and one day he/she sees or hears of the "funeral" on Big Brother and he/she asks his Daddy why he lied and used the Bible to help him with it. Pure gold. Explain that one away, Dan!
The nicest thing I could come up with about Dani is that she perfected the puckered look with the arched eyebrows as she incessantly looks at herself in the mirror and that she's very flexible so she can rotate and lovingly look at her behind.

I can only imagine what kind of scheming and plotting the houseguests will entertain us with today...
Lost a lot of respect for Dan this go around. He loves it when people fight. The smirk on his face at times when people are real upset about things is creepy to me. Like when Ian and Frank were fighting--he was in other room with a smirk on his face. He defends noone for any reason. But likes to instigate things at any expense of others.
I have never been a Dan fan, but I certainly don't think he's an evil person. I don't like the way he uses religion conveniently, to suit his purpose. But at the risk of offending a lot of people -- most people find a way to make religion work within what they want to do. I have much less of a problem if someone admits that.
With some of these very good players, the "game" notion is an excuse to be cruel. I don't think it's moral to decimate Danielle emotionally. I think it's a tolerable part of the game, but I am not going to pretend it's not morally reprehensible. It's vile, game or no game. If Dan acknowledged that he is willing to completely disregard everything he claims to believe in, well, all right. But the fact that this is a game makes the players no less human and does not excuse any cruelty. IMO.
Since theres been alot of whose Memphis chat, heres a thingy I came up with:
Dani and Shane = April and Ollie
-especially Shane/Ollie, because both are bb clueless, both have a needy partner, and both are getting busted by Dan
Joe = Jerry
- obviously
Jenn = Renny
- made some important moves, gets along with most, but ultimately cant win comps and will be evicted fifth

Had a nice run, threat to win comps, will need to save themselves in the end
Frank = Memphis
-threat in comps, love hate social game, may be setup to lose a final 2 with Dan

Grendon, what you are saying about Dan this season is what a good friend of mine saw in him Season 10. She can't stand his play because of how he uses people's emotions against them. I guess I see that but he's still one of my faves. Season 8 Eric being up there too.

tonitoni makes an interesting point, essentially about sociopathy (lack of empathy). I don't think Dan is a sociopath, but on a continuum, which is how all of this works, he is closer to that side than most. Being an armchair psychologist, his need to follow the rules of religion as closely as he does, may, be a sign that he doesn't have a well developed moral compass of his own. That's largely what religion is all about -- setting rules of behavior so people are not left to their own devices.
It is very odd that Dan has cried twice in his life. Some of that is cultural. Some is that he has a very limited set of moods. But there is also likely a great deal of repression there. Fear of what will happen if he allows himself to really feel.
In the scheme of things, Dan is just a guy with imperfections. He doesn't kill people and he tries to make his weaknesses into strengths. But he seems to need a lot of help knowing right from wrong. Empathy certainly does not come naturally to him.

A good friend of mine saw this side of Dan on season 10 and has never liked him. He most definitely is a master manipulator and does play not only on people's strategies but also on their emotions. He's still a genius in the game but I probably wouldn't hang with him outside the house. That being said I love watching him work. More than I have any player since Season 8's Eric.
Dani should wear a bikini at all times. Her torso is beautiful, her butt is great. A bikini highlights that.
Other than the physical, Dani has a lot of growing up to do, but I suspect in real life she is a loyal friend, and good nurse, and a driven person. She's a tad irritating, but I have nothing against her in any real way. She's young, emotionally particularly.
I think the stalker portrayal is very unfair and will cause her a lot of pain. She does not stalk Shane. Shane plays games with her (though not maliciously) and she has toned it down seriously since she realized that.
I dont think Dan is much different from BB10. He just doesnt have that closeness that he had with Memphis and Keesha. These people arent as outgoing and fun loving as season 10 either.
If BB is planning something special today, I hope its Luxury, and not another Pandora's.
Or maybe a celebrity coming into the house. Like Margaret Cho to promote Jane's book. ;)

Writing as I am catching up on posts again. If I had been smart I would have waited to give a big shout out to all the way Carolyn does. I just wanted to thank you too Jane. I feel like I have been pleading my case for days. You can make someone angry in a game and they will get over it. Deliberately causing pain to people that you profess to care about is a whole different story.
I said a couple days ago that Dan says he can turn his emotions off at the door. I don't think that is normal, nor do I think it's admirable.
ToniToni, I would kindly like to ask when did Dan use the Bible to aid him in lying. I might have missed it. From what I could see when he went to HoH to swear on it he told the whole truth. And as for Britney I believe she was gonna use him saying that she''s the target against him. She wanted him to say it because she could say he knew because he was the one who threw her under the bus. As for him and Dani IS personally saw flashes of empathy when he wasn't sure she was going to forgive him. I honestly feel like if he didn't have empathy he would be talking about Dani in the same way a lot of people currently do. But he hasn,t in public or in DR instead he took the last moments of everyday up until his funeral to have a heart to heart woth Dani. I truly believe Britney was blowing everytjing out of proportion in the house. At the end of the day she was upset because she got got.

It may just be me, but I find it hypocritical to scheme and backstab and then find comfort in reading the Bible. You can't have it both ways, can you?
I have a feeling that the houseguests are getting a luxury comp today. Dan can keep playing the game the way he is but he isn't going to win it. he knows that. Ian needs to think really long and hard about his noms. I am so looking forward to the double eviction Thursday.

First off, I have nothing against anyone, I just don't understand how a site like this, that brags about no personal attacks and bashing has let that slip this year. Other than that, I enjoy the site. I would love to say something nice about Danielle!! She's one of my favorites. I think the stalker thing has gone a little far. She's extremely gorgeous and has a body to die for. I love her butt...I want mine to look that good...and her legs....enough said.
I have always been a fan of Kitty and didn't think that I was going to like Jen, but she's really nice. Has great manners, always a please and thank you.

Good Morning Everyone. It's been some time since I've posted but am a true fan of the Disher community.
I had to ask if anyone else caught the "tall tale" told by Joe during BBAD.
He was telling the story of an Aunt who had a moustache and how this used to terify him as a kid.
This ounded familiar to me because I'd recently re-watched excerpts from Eddie Murphy's "RAW" stand up. The thing that clinched it...he used the word "Gooneygoogoo" which was soooo from Eddie Murphy's skit.

Say something nice about Dani Day? I love it...Its hard for me to see the negativity that is aimed her way so much especially when alot of it is targeted at her "southern" ways including her accent. Im a fellow southern girlie who grew up n the deep south and moved to Virginia n my early teens and the amount of crap I got for my accent was painful at times. So I would stand in front of my mirror and practice talking like the others and forcing the accent away. To this day my drawl only makes its way out when I get angry then its like Ricky Ricardo sliding into his Cuban...LOL SOOOOO anyway, here goes--
Danielle is a natural beauty with a sharp mind and lovely heart. A fighting spirit and strength to carry on.:)

I did forget that. You are right. :) I do believe we have to agree to disagree on the backstabbing and scheming. I don't believe scheming is against the Bible's teaching as long as you are not scheming to hatm. And yes I do believe he did this to Danielle but I also believe he throughly regrets it. My assumption is the only reason he did this was for people to assume that he had given up instead of going to save himself with Frank. Dani was used as a commotion so people wouldn't have time to think about this. If he knew it would be this easy to persuade Frank and Jenn he wouldn't have done it. Or it could have possibly been his way of getting Dani in a better position in this game. He knows especially because he told her that she is in a way better position now than he is. And as for backstabbing even God isn't loyal to people who are disloyal to him. He stills loves his children but he isn't loyal to them. Dan isn't blind he could see Brit going to talk to Frank all the time. That was her way in stabbing him in the back securing his departure. When I think about Dan IIS always think of him as an imperfect man even with his Bible in his hands. I think that hum reading it in the first place means that he wants to maintaon some type of moral compass. How moral it is is up to the judgement of the people watching him.
Feeds are back, and they are cleaning up the house, something happened, anyone hear anything. Not too many people talking.

Sorry, I stepped away for a bit. No, I didn't think you were being mean at all. Ian and Joe in final 2 would be great by me. Much as I dislike Frank, I would even settle for an Ian/Frank pairing. (As long as Ian wins of course.)
