Happy Thursday, BB Lovers! What will tonight bring??
Tonight's HoH competition is the most crucial of the season thus far. According to everything the HGs said late last night, which is covered at length in The Overnight Report, depending upon who wins, either Amanda or Helen has a date with the backdoor this week.
May the best Alpha woman win! Either way, it's going to be a very intense week on the Big Brother Live Feeds.
With a 27 hour lockdown, they could certainly be right.

Jessie's fixing coffee on 1. Gm, Aaryn and Elissa are pillow-chatting on 3 and 4..
Aaryn: I wanna do my nails up in HoH, during lockdown..
Elissa: Do you guys know what you're wearing tonight? I wanna wear this long black dress, but I can't find it anywhere.
Aaryn: How much do you wanna bet it's in Candice's bag?
Elissa: Do you really think so?
Aaryn: Every time something has gone missing, it's in her stuff.
Gm: Every time.
Aaryn: I'm very organized.. Like, if you asked me where's your pink bow, I would be able to tell you which drawer, which aisle.. So I know when something's missing.
Accusations of Candice theft continue from Gm and Aaryn..
Elissa: I really thought I was leading a yoga class in my sleep.
Aaryn: That's hilarious.
Elissa: I hope it is athletic today. I get too nervous in the other ones.
Gm: mm
Aaryn: I think it's gonna be knockout.

Elissa: My entire body feels better not being in the Have Not room.

Gm asks Aaryn for help with jedi training.. but first she's going to go over everything in her head. They both have bad tummies from the Have Not Happy Hour midnight feeding frenzy.

Jessie: Sucks.
Aaryn: The Moving Company and the way everything happened the first few weeks..
Jessie: F*cked everything up.
Aaryn: The people we thought were our friends in the beginning weren't.
Jessie: It just sucks.. It was determined like week 2..
Aaryn: It always is.
Jessie: So really, Jeremy f*cked us over.
Aaryn: A lot of people did.
Jessie: I'm just pissed at Helen. Back when I did all that for them.. Spencer was trying really hard to get her out.
Aaryn: Did anyone tell you how hard I've been trying?
Jessie: Yeah, Amanda finally did. She said you were the only one who wanted me to stay. Thank you. I still want you to win, Aaryn.. You have my vote.
Aaryn: The only way that happens is if Gm and I win HoH every other week.
Jessie: It was happening.. It could happen.. Do you think they'd get her out before you?
Aaryn: no. They don't want me to go far.. I'd tear their asses up in the final 5 or 6.. No one's gonna give me the chance to play.
Jessie: It's such an unfair game. The whole MVP bullsh*t.
Aaryn: Oh yeah, the MVP definitely changed things up a lot. Judd had a lot to do with that.
Jessie: Judd as frigging trying to get me out. He was telling them everything I said. I'm probably not even gonna talk to him. he basically ruined my game.
Aaryn: I would go there and just be a sweetheart, and be like, Judd, I just wanna talk to you, and let him tell his story.. He might just come out and tell you.
Jessie: I know it's a game, and whatever.. It just sucks how people deliberately gave me the shaft.
Aaryn: i feel bad for not telling you you were the target.
Jessie: It's ok.. I hope you win so we can hang out when you're rich.
Aaryn: Well, thanks, Jess..
Jessie: I had a long talks yesterday, and hopefully that'll shake something out.. They don't wanna go up against her in the final 4.
Aaryn: They don't wanna go up against me. Who would.
Jessie: Next week it'll be time to get her out. She like destroys everything. She does it single handedly.. She's smart. It doesn't matter how you took it.. The fact is that she's casually bringing my name up as the person Judd went to to try to get out Amanda..

Elissa: I'm trying to debate what's worse.. writing in a public bathroom or in the big brother bathroom. I think this is worse. If you look at the reality of the situation, really.. I'm just embarrassed that our season is the only one that girls have written in a bathroom stall.
Helen: I couldn't agree more. That's not where my name will be in this world.
**there is a long tradition of male HGs signing the bathroom stall wall.. this year, some of the women did too. Elissa is horrified.

Aaryn: I don't think so. If I can ask one thing of you, please do not let Candice continue to slander me. She can say anything she wants about my game, but if she starts talking about me personally..
Jessie: I'll be like.. Aaryn has black friends... stop it... she's a 22 year old girl..

Jessie: If Gm comes next week, I'll make her breakfast in bed.
Aaryn: Her Birthday's next Thursday.
Andy: The Kaysar Curse.. Kaysar got evicted on his birthday 2 years in a row.
Jessie: 2 years in a row? That's rough.
Aaryn: He never even made jury. Why was he on allstars?
Andy: People really liked him..

GM: If I win HoH, you're f'in good.
Helen: Well, thank you.. But When does it end. She's crying to me about poor camera time, and then going around..
Gm: People know how awesome you are. People know you got class.
Helen: She's so mad at me for all this stuff. I'm just playing this game. We've carried her very far.. Jeremy looks like a 10x better person than her now..
Gm seizes the opportunity to talk more crap about Candice...

Andy, much like Aaryn, tells Jessie that he's expendable in the house, but he's going to fight hard to be there.

Jessie: I'm surprised you know who the Violent Femmes are, Spencer. You're a lot more cultured than I would imagine.

Fishies.. The HGs are being told to get up to HoH Now.. The feeds come back for another minute..

I could not agree more.
I have a teenage daughter who is more than capable of making me cry-either by pissing me off to the point of tears or by hurting my feelings. I would NEVER use my tears to make her feel bad or get her to do what I wanted. As a mother, I have always felt it was my job to wipe her tears, comfort her and to be wise enough not to let her get her own way when she was using tears as a weapon.
Helen's children are still young. I can't imagine what kind of mom would use those mind games on a child. It was hard for me to let my children see me cry when my father died. I didn't want them to feel like they had to comfort me. I wanted to comfort them because they had lost their bubba.

I went on you tube and looked for BB Australia. I clicked the playlist for BBAU00001. He/she seems to upload each episode shortly after it airs. I usually just leave the page open and refresh periodically each day until I see a new episode listed. I also put it in my favorites for those pesky times I have to turn off my computer.

I'm a first time commenter, but I've been checking in with The Dish every day, several times a day. I'm commenting now because I didn't notice anyone last night mentioning something Helen said in DR during the broadcast show. She called McC & Amanda, "McCranda." I thought that was odd since I know that WE, the viewers, have been calling them that, but I hadn't noticed if the HGs had been calling them that, too. It made me wonder if Helen's "friends" in the DR somehow slipped about the name or if Helen is just that up on Pop Culture. Thoughts?
Talking about my father reminded me of something.
Last year, in August, we had made the decision to put my grandmother in a nursing home. I talked about it in the comment section and got so much love and support from all of you.
I just wanted to let you all know, Grandma is still here. She didn't really improve. She doesn't have a specific illness that will get better. Unfortunately she suffers from that cruel twist we will all hopefully face one day-old age.
However, she was miserable, grumpy and feisty as heck in the nursing home so shortly before Thanksgiving we brought her home. She needs 24/7 supervision because she can't really walk, yet she stil tries which always results in a fall.
Last year I was going through a crisis of conscience knowing that she needed to be in the nursing home but that she deserved to be in her own home. At least now she is back where she belongs. Grandma will be 93 years old in November. I guess at that age she has earned the right to be cranky and feisty.

I think Aaryn is in the beautiful yet unenviable position if she wins HOH. Aaryn can a) literally make the decision about who goes farthest in the game. McManda vs the mom Squad. she would also be making THE power move of the season so far. Plus, She already had Judd as a huge move that she made. And she's good in comps. If someone took her to the end or she makes it to the end... I think she has an excellent shot at winning. And wouldn't that be something??? I'd hate to be in CBS' shoes if that happens. Especially since they seemed to go out of their way to blame all of the ugly comments on Aaryn despite the fact that there were a lot of people in the house making ugly comments. I'm not by any means trying to defend Aaryn's stupidity early on, but I think she's turned around her social game and in my opinion GM'S language and the way she carries herself is far worse than Aaryn's. Just my thoughts for the day.

My guess would be that Helen knows showmances always get nicknames by putting their two names together such as Brenchel and JeJo. I just wonder if she knows that she is now part of 'Helissa',

I am so happy you posted that clip of Patton oswalt's take. Every year I cry to that song, but after watching that clip, I don't think I will anymore!!!!
However, I may be the only one laughing during it, which could be alittle disturbing to those listening (and perhaps crying) around me lol
OMG!!!! I have totally been saying that! I feel the exact same way as you do! As a mama, I try to always hide my tears and be strong for my 2 girls .. never use tears or pity against them! Another reason I can't stand Helen! ! What kind of a parent does that???

I think Helen is up on pop culture to the same extent we are that we mash celebrity couples names. Though I guess the DR folks could have used it, I don't think that's a game breaker. But I too notice Helen's use of it and wondered if other HG's have used it in the past.

I kind of figured that Helen was aware of the mashing of couples' names that is so common these days.
Grendon, I would LOVE to see her reaction to Helissa, though I can't imagine she would be thrilled. Ha ha ha
Lulu, I agree that it's not a game-changer, I just found it strange that she used the mashup since it's not common for the HGs to use them while still playing the game.

That's an impressive list of names under the tip jar. It's about time.
This weeks HOH winner will define which way this season shapes up. I am still an Elissa fan, don't ask me why cause I'm not sure, but Amanda, Mcrae and Andy are the only ones actually playing the game. Their plan to create a false final 3 deal with Helen, Mcrae and Andy to keep tabs on Helen and to protect their main alliance is creative and fun to watch.
I am excited to see which way the game turns. This season is slowly growing on me...
First of thank you Carolyn for all that you do for us BB Dishers. You are AMAZING! Now my question: I've read in the comments that several people are also watching Big Brother Australia and BB England. Where on the web can I find these? Thanks.
Helen and Elissa have so much class and are just so much better than anyone else in the house. Just walk up to their pedestals and ask them. I think thats why i never liked Helen. The second she opened her mouth, i knew

At this point I think andy or arryn shOuld win by game play. .aaryn simply because she is still there and Andy because he made himself the third in both main alliances. I don't quite understand why any of them are letting Amanda and mcrae stay at this point they need to be broken up they are ab double vote. I don't love this season simply because of the every buddy votes with the house I feel like no one thinks for themself
I took advantage of the slow day to look up BB Australia 2013 - watched the launch episode. Wow! Can we use their set next year? I love the launch episode idea.
I wonder who will go after MCCmanda after Helen is gone. Other than Elissa no one will be targeting MCCmanda. I think the show will be even more boring. I still don't have a favorite. But I have many that I don't like.
