Wednesday Morning in the Big Brother 15 House
Happy Wednesday, BB Lovers! As of 9:33am, it's wakey-wakey time for the BB15 HGs! This crew was nonstop all day and all night yesterday! Here's what they got into late night last night: The Overnight Report. I wonder what they have in store for us this morning on the live feeds.. and if my fingers are up to the task. :-)

While they were sleeping, I had a little time to do some shopping for lovely parting gifts. Let me know which you think are best... ;-) For Howard, a one way trip to the tropical paradise of Key Biscayne.. where I will hug him and squeeze him and call him George. For Candice, this chandelier will make a lovely earring. I wonder if she can find a match, though. For Amanda, I'm stumped. But honestly, I don't think she's going anywhere this week, despite her best efforts to completely sabotage herself by over-gaming, so I've got time to figure out a parting gift for her.

In an effort to avoid standing under the cold Have Not Shower for as long as it takes to wash and condition her hair, Amanda makes use of the sink.

From Judd's position in the kitchen, we can see that, as promised, the long indoor lockdown has begun! This is always the best indicator of a coming Endurance Comp. :)

Helen: Do you want me to wake you at a specific time?
Judd: I guess if I'm not up by 1 or 2.. I don't think I'll sleep that long though.
Judd heads back to the Have Not Room, slips his bandana over his eyes and zzzz....

Finished with her run, Helen sets to tidying up a bit. In the interim, Amanda got out of the DR, snuggled with McCrae a minute, then went back to sleep in the Have Not Room, and Aaryn is currently in the DR.We can hear someone clomping around off camera, but we don't have eyes on them at the moment.

Done with her cereal, Aaryn heads back up to the HoH bed, leaving Helen downstairs to clean.

Helen: (big smile) You're welcome.
Spurred on by the positive reinforcement, Helen proceeds to clean every visible mirror to a high shine. Then she details them with a qtip.

Howard enters to use the bathroom.. Helen greets him. No response. He leaves. She continues cleaning.. Now the shower stalls.
As you can see, the HGs are having a rather light morning, game wise. It was bound to happen sooner or later. :0) I'll check back in on them in a bit and let you know what I find.

I think one of the reasons I am more accepting of the nasty things the HGs say to or about each other is because they do seem to get over it.
I used to get so incredibly upset and tense listening to them bash each other. I thought that certain things crossed lines and that they could never be forgiven.
These are the things I know=
Season 8-Eric said that Dick and Danielle had a sick and disgusting relationship and were probably having sex in the HOH room. (Don't forget, they are a father and daughter.) Flash forward 4 years-Eric and Danielle are besties.
Season 10-Jerry, Michelle, April and Ollie spent countless hours saying vile and disgusting things about Renny, Memphis and especially Dan and Keesha. They went on to say that Keesha was probably giving Dan BJs and that's why Dan switched to their side. I don't know about Keesha, but Dan has nothing but kind words for his former HGs.
Season 12-Ragan and Britney spent countless hours bashing Rachel. Rachel told Ragan he wasn't even good at being gay. Now Ragan is one of Rachel's biggest cheerleaders.
Season 13-Kalia, Porsche, Dani and Shelley spent all their time in HOH saying terrible things about Rachel. When Rachel thought there was a possibility that she was pregnant they said they hoped she tripped on the stairs and that maybe one of them could 'accidentally' trip her so she would abort the baby. Shelley ended up being at Rachel's wedding.
Season 14-Boogie, upset that he had been outplayed, said "I wonder how Dan will feel locked up in here when I go to Michigan and f*ck his wife." To the best of my knowledge, Dan and Boogie are still friends.
This is why I just can't let myself be as upset about some of these things as I used to be. Flat out racism, homophobia and misogyny are offensive to me. Saying something to someone's face or loud enough for them to hear just to hurt their feelings bothers me. (Like what Elissa did to Amanda during McCrae's birthday celebration. But choking on saliva, stabbing people with sharpened butter knives and other similar comments don't really affect me any more. I can't let myself be upset for someone who is not upset themselve.

I think the only people not lying right now are Judd and Jessie and they're being blamed for everything. I really hope this blows over with Judd. Once Amanda's off the block hopefully she will get some common sense.
Seems the new hash tag in the house is #blameJudd.
It is uncanny how Candice just knows things. She is almost always right even though she doesn't have enough information to be right. She did just come up with that secret group working to get her out all out of her imagination. I guess if you accuse those who hate you it makes sense they would want to get you out. Four out of five isn't bad, conspirators.

I'm wondering if Howard really said to Amanda what she is reporting (regarding after they get out), and if so, how it was meant. It looked like they were joking around at the time?
Grendon - I think that's one of the things the "social experiment" shows us. The relationships in the house are different because of being in the house, and shift according to who stays and goes each week. Look at the differences week to week in any of this year's lot and you'll see that who is around them and the stresses of being on the block make for some unusual pronouncements. I thought the bit Jeff mentioned the other night on the show about how your thinking is different in the house seems to be spot on. The tendency of this house to blindside people at eviction by historically group-lying to the target must make it worse.
And remember - just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
brb - their quiet is a perfect time for a much needed reboot.
The recent push to get rid of Candice is of course laced with personal attacks but the HG's bring up an interesting point. She got the gig 2 weeks before and it's an acting gig for her and this puts her on a different level. It seems in the house there is a hierarchy of people who actually know the game and are fans who happen to be in jobs in the entertainment industry(modeling, PR, etc..). At the bottom are the people there to get facetime to further their self perceived burgeoning careers. It's probably a good thing these people don't know the game since they would figure out that being on BB is not a launchpad to fame and fortune.
The last 2 weeks we have seen Kaitlin follow Jeremy out the door. Neither fought to stay in the game because they did not know the game. Sure they watched a couple of seasons while in "sequester" before the show but as most of you know that tells you nothing of what to expect in the house.
So why do I bring this up? Well I want everyone in the house to be a superfan. I think when people complained left and right last year about wanting a house full of new players (they couldn't even give us that with Elissa); I think we should have specified that we want players that love the game. Everyone was happy that Ian Terry won last year because he was a superfan. We identified with him and wanted him to win. I am not discounting people that are smart enough to grab onto a real superfan much like Amanda has done this year. I mean it worked for Hayden so why not her. I guess I'd just rather see the fan(McCrae) win than the actor that jumped in his bed.
Just once I wish someone would call out Amanda to her face, besides Spencer.

I agree with you Grendon, cant let it get to us, but boy I love a good argument from time to time.
I do not understand why everyone hates Amanda so much. Yes she is bossy like most strong women are but at least she is staying true to her alliance and not jumping all over the place like Helen.
Now Helen imo, is way too bossy and acts like the house is hers alone, I think the other hgs should get a clue and jump on the evict Helen bandwagon.
I really like Judd, even though I wish he would move his jaw when he talks, wonder if he had a broken jaw when he was young and it never healed right? hmm
Can't stand to watch another minute of Candace and Howard.. makes me sick..
GM is sleeping through the whole experience, She is a waste of space, imo, and I am sure that CBS wishes now they would have put someone else in her place.
I know that Aaryn has done some nasty things but I am actually rooting for her to at least get to jury at this point.
Jessie and Andy are floaters, although I really think Andy is a sweetheart but boy is he nosey..
At this point in time...I would like to see Judd and McCrea at the end.

@Grendon I 100% agree with your comment never has there been a season where the house guests don't bash each other and become friends after their season. I think however this year it has reached an all time high or maybe I'm just paying more attention this year lol :)
I sometimes wonder if they forget that they are being recorded every minute of the day. They seem to quickly forget that they have said anything bad about another person but are quick to become angry when something is said to or about them. Oh me oh my these people. This is the first time I can't pick anyone to root for. While Amanda is playing the game, she is playing way too hard. She makes it seem as if her agenda has to be everyone else's agenda or else she's coming after them. Maybe she forgot that she hasn't won an HOH herself yet. Helen on her high horse just baffles me.
Was it ever mentioned if Elissa applied to be on or if she was approached by producers? I seem to remember 2 weeks back she told Helen that her 'contract' was up in two weeks anyway.Maybe she earns so much for going in and then more each eviction she survives.Anyone know about this?
I don't have a twitter account. The main reason is that, based on how much time I spend posting here during the summer, I am afraid if I started twittering or tweeting or chirping at people I would never get anything accomplished. After a few nights in a row with no dinner I think my family would run an intervention.
I don't know the rules of tweeting. I know you can 'follow' people. But does that mean you only get tweets from people you follow? Or can random people tweet you or respond to the tweets you post? If so, I don't think I would like that.
The only experience I have is when I see an occasional tweet on my facebook. Those are from people I actually like and choose to be friends with (like Carolyn). This year I have been reading the tweets that are beside the live feeds. I really look forward to some of them, especially ones from former HGs like Dan. But some of them are very mean spirited.
Yesterday was the tweet accusing fans of being racist and homophobic. Today it seems someone is calling for Amanda's head on a silver platter because she lied about Howard.
It seems that some of these people have been exposed to the same illness that has been spreading in the house (Candice has a severe case of it right now.) Since I don't know the scientific name for it, I will refer to it as 'If I Think It's True It Must Be True-itis."
I could not handle getting random tweets from people like that. It would completely stress me out. One of my top pet peeves is people who mistakenly state their opinions as facts.
I finally figured out how to donate to you..Duh..its been a sidebar all this time..anyway I digress. I have been coming here for 3 years and it's my first stop in the morning. Thank you for all of your hard work and foe keeping me chuckling in my little cubicle. Ok so I have never commented so bare with me. I consider myself a superfan. I have watched 13 seasons. I AM SO DAMN CONFUSED...I do not understand half of these conversations and alliances. I love Amandas humor not so much on her game play. Is it just me or are they ALL playing too hard? Judd is really fired up at Howard right now, and it's mostly based on things Howard hasn't done or said. These guys are the most paranoid HG's BB ever cast.
It has already started with McCrae, Amanda and Andy thinking Judd is super smart and setting up all the pieces, because they believe "He is the MPV."
When Amanda goes back on the block with America's vote (please let that happen BB Gods) Judd is going to be thrown into crossfire and will first hand understand how you can become public enemy number one. Just like Howard. To be called shaddy, untrustworthy and worse.
If not Judd it will be others. Like you said above. I really hope you're right saying at some point the HG's are going to call Aaryn out on her comments made early in the game, before she could start to self-censor what comes from her mouth.
Thanks for your blog, because I can't take the live feeds anymore. I'm not a fan of Candice at all and it's hard listening to all the cruel things said about her. Same as GM or anyone else.

Thanks, Grendon. It's nice to get a reply without attacking me, which is why I love Caro 's site. I was mostly talking about the things Aaryn and GM keep saying about Candice behind her back. Amanda does it, Mccrae does it and so on. Omg I had forgotten about that with Rachel! If its said to their face and they laugh it off, then I couldn't care less. This forgiving of Aaryn is beyond me. Helen apologises to Aaryn wtheck. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I just wish that everyone could see Amanda for what she is and vote her out. She is a much bigger target, I think, that either Candice or Howard.....

I can listen to Judd when he is the only one talking, there is no background noise, I have headphones on and volume turned up and I can still only make out half of what he says.
I refer to Judd-speak as his 'whumble'. It's his whisper mumble.

I completely agree with you!! I would also like them to start displaying all ages again. I am getting very offended that the old fart in the house this season is my age (37!) It would be nice to have a mix of ages again, they used to have a handful of 40's, 30's and 20's...now it's a 21-26 and the one old fart in her 30's.
Unless I am just forgetting, it seems like this is the first cast that is ALWAYS talking and worrying about how they are portrayed on the show, who America likes, who America doesn't like. I feel like it kind of takes away from the game!

I could never handle being in the BB house. Even if things were said behind my back, I know the curiosity would make me want to watch everything I could find once I got home. Even though I would love to be the type of person who has a forgiving heart I am afraid I would hold too much of a grudge. If I could get over the grudge, I just don't think I would be comfortable around the person or people that said awful things about me.
I also wouldn't put it past myself to get caught up in the gossip or bitch sessions. Especially if I was angry at someone or felt like they were targeting me. I would like to think I wouldn't be as hateful as some of the HGs have been, but even the little criticisms of people can hurt. Actually, I could probably blow off someone saying they wanted to kill me in the heat of the moment, but if people were laughing at the way I looked or dressed, or if they just didn't like me as a person, I think that is what I would dwell on.
I know I'm late to the comments-game this season, so forgive me if you've already hashed this out... Did you catch wind of the facebook status posted by a supposed former employee of CBS/BBstaff who claimed to have insider information that Amanda was pre-chosen to win this season? Can you make any headway about the validity/not of it? (If you want, I have the screen cap and can forward it to you.)

I feel like I don't have to comment much because you say what I would have said. You also keep things in perspective.
I also go by the rule of life... I don't call people names like racists etc. not knowing what is in their hearts personally. I have been called a racist many times the last few years for not liking the current President. Try to explain that to my black husband. LOL.
I think this house makes people paranoid while also showing their worst sides. But I do remember they are all part of a game for what most is a lot of money. Every year hateful things have been said... and even threatening things. I was a fan of ED's in BB8 because of the father and daughter angle. ED said horrible things to Jennifer... one even about raping her when back out of the house. He played total mind games on people.
When anybody is put under the scrutiny 24/7 for months in a place where they can't get any privacy... they are bound to say or do stupid stuff. I am just amazed that they are not more careful with the internet and all as it is these days. This was not as a big deal when Mega Will in BB1 went on a rant or any season early on. Life has changed in the past 10 years and they seem to forget that most of the time. Or maybe they feel society do not make as a big deal of sex on the internet anymore. After all, there are people who have made a career out of it... Kardashians come to mind. The Jersey Shore culture also says something. Different world.
I go to chat rooms and read blogs and there is so much hate and targeting of certain Houseguests that you wonder who the real unstable people are. Look what Shelly had to go through with threats to her family for booting Jeff in her season. "Fans" in many cases are more rabid and rude than these Hamsters locked up in a pressure cooker for weeks or months.
Finally, money makes people weird very often. How often don't you hear about families and loved ones fight over wills etc.
The BB House really is not that different. Also, if we would have a house with 12 blacks and two whites I believe it would be the same thing. A most recent poll showed that every group in society believed that blacks are more racist than any other. Do I agree... Sorry for my long rant... but so much of the stupidity and ignorance of Houseguests have been taken outside over what is a game and the fans are no saints.
